Title: Rise of The Goblin

Patrick sat ontop of a roof, still in his heavily damaged outfit with his head resting in his hands. Not making any noises, but feeling an incredible amount of guilt for letting Cindy go on her own in the first place. "I think it's time for an upgrade...", he said as he stood up.

He immediately swung to the Empire State University lab, sneaking in and grabbing something he's been working on, though he did add a few modifications of course. "I didn't have the time to save Cindy, I was so... I can't." The Spider thought to himself as he was taking off his damaged suit in somewhere private.

"I'm going to take him down, no matter who stands in my way... I'll do it for her and myself.", The Spider thought to himself as he was greeted with his modified A.I welcoming him.

This suits design is based on athletic wear and compression clothing. The suit itself features a large black spider on the chest rather than a fist-sized one. The spider has long legs and ends at the thin dark grey piping of the suit while the red spider on his back was clunky and metallic with four ports that are closed. The suit lacked the motifs such as his boots and glove, but on his palms, they were red and possess the same webbing pattern. He has also modernized the shoes to look more like sneakers. He wore clunkier web shooters that had large red injects in the center of him, with noticeable talons on both his finger-tips and toe-tips. Last but not least, he had completely black lenses in which complimented the suits more... menacing nature. "I'm comin for you Norman."

With a strong leap, he launched himself off the building and shooting a webline onto a building and swinging through the streets. "This time, you're not leaving alive."

Green Goblin roared out, attempting to speak and try to regain the intelligence and cunningness of Norman Osborn for the last few days... the mortal he used to be, but no longer. He was so much different. He grinned to himself as he finally started to understand his surroundings. "Parker..." he grinned as he leapt up, remembering who started this in the first place.

Peter was skipping along the street, still wearing his overly large glasses with a large lab coat. His aunt May following behind him. The Goblin like monster growled. "Nice try!" The Goblin turned and was punched hard in the face, the sheer force sent him flying into another building.

His golden yellow irises narrowed as sharp, red legs appeared from the hole and pulled in The Spider, he had sharpened red spider-like appendages inspired from Doctor Octopus. "Found you Osborn, now then. Let's end this shall we?" He said as the legs folded and retracted into the metallic spider on his back.

"Spider...!", was all that Green Goblin said as he rushed at him, only to get a face filled with fire from a port on The Spider's modified web shooters. He shielded his eyes and kept sprinting, only to get a impact web to the face, blinding him briefly as he was drop kicked in the face.

The Spider shot out two web lines and slammed the Green Goblin through several floors. Green Goblin cackled as he spat fire from his mouth, The Spider dodged and kicked his mouth closed. "Let's see..." he placed his palm on the Goblin's face before pulling away the skin. Causing the Goblin to throw him across the room.

"You...", The Goblin spoke, the missing flesh regenerated at surprising speeds as he smiled.

"Did you really think you'd get away with the death of Silk without any consequences?", The Spider said as his lenses shutters squinted inwards.

"Heh...", The Goblin started laughing at his attempts with a sadistic glee. "I've finally seen what I can push you to!", he said as he held his arms out. "You... you really are my son!"

The Spider cringed at what he said as he held out his arm, shooting out a concussive blast at Green Goblin, sending him flying out the building.

The Spider leapt out after him, talons bared as his mechanical spider legs unfolded. Dropping him to the ground safety. "Quit blathering!" He said as hatred burned in his eyes. This was the same anguish and hatred for him he felt when... when his father died, but this time it's different. Back then he had the power to stop him but couldn't due to ignorance, while this time, he had the power but he wasn't responsible enough to help her, have her deal with the slightly easier ones... this only fueled his hatred and anguish. He remembered her smile, the look in her eyes that told him that she was genuinely happy to be with him, how she looked up to him for guidance and assistance. And how she promised to never leave him...

She was dead, and it wasn't the Goblin's or Doctor Octopus' doing... it was Patrick's and The Spider, they both killed her... they were ones responsible.

The Goblin's enhanced instincts alerted him of the shift in personality and mood, he wasn't joking... at all. Green Goblin dodged a jab from one of the mechanical arms with surprising ease despite his size, grabbing the same leg but before he could electrocute him he was shot with a electric web. "I'm going to kill you. Take away the same thing you took from Richard and Mary Parker, and Cindy Moon." He said as he grabbed an incoming fist from The Goblin and punched him in the face hard.

His AR-display told him of incoming people, though he knew who it was. With this distraction, he was backhanded by The Green Goblin. "Agents! Fan out!", a woman yelled out as several S.H.E.I.L.D Agents surrounded them, the goblin roaring at them.

The agents opened fire on The Goblin, who immediately started attacking them, cackling like a maniac. Before the Spider could escape, he was handcuffed. "Spider, you are coming with us for the time being." Agent Maria Hill said.

"You were gonna kill my dad...", Harry said with astonishment, still in his Hobgoblin suit. They were given access to a room in the Helicarrier, one without cameras for Patrick's identity of course.

The Spider, now unmasked with crossed arms looked at him blankly. "Yes...", he answered quite honestly. "I was, and I'm going to."

"My dad's still in there dude!", Harry looked at him incredulously. "We can cure him, we can save him!"

"He was already a monster before he was turned into the goblin, this just made him look the part on the inside.", Patrick said as he slipped his mask back on, though Harry wouldn't want to admit it at this point, but the new suit looked awesome.

"Look... I get it, Silk's dead. But if you kill him that wouldn't make you any better than the same guy who killed your dad.", Harry said attempting to convince him of otherwise, at least trying to calm him down.

"I could give less of a shit Harry.", The Spider said as his black lenses adjusted a little bit. "If you wanna stand in the way, it'd be smart not to." He said as he walked past Harry.

Harry bit his lip, activating his mask. Not as a signal to attack, but something to hide his fear and worry for both of them. The Spider walked into the control center.

"Ground team, status report.", Director Fury yelled out as he waited for a response, which came.

{{"We got em Director Fury. Goblin down, I repeat, Goblin down!"}}, the man on the other side said as Hobgoblin walked in, or more accurately flew in.

As everyone cheered at the easy victory, The Spider's spider sense triggered. "... this isn't over.", he said as he bared his talons. "Incoming!"

Everyone turned to the large window in which one of the quinjets were flying directly at. With his enhanced vision, The Spider's eyes widened as it was none other then the Green Goblin piloting it, he kicked the glass off and hopped ontop. Riding it and crashing straight into the Helicarrier. "We got em Director Fury. Goblin down, I repeat, Goblin down!", Green Goblin said in the exact same voice that was heard just a few seconds ago. "Harry, my son... come to papa. It's time to continue our legacy."

Hobgoblin floated back and pulled out his sword. "Yeah... no."

"Come to me my boy, or else I'll rip this place apart one by one.", Green Goblin said with his absurdly deep voice.

"You're smart Osborn, just a few days ago you could barely say anything coherent.", Nick Fury said aiming his fun at him. "So you're smart enough to understand I can cure you, fix what happened to you. Just like how I cured Harry's genetic disorder."

"Cure me? Cure me and turn me back into being small and weak? A mere mortal jealous of Stark?! A cure?! I AM cured.", Green Goblin cackled at his offer.

"Dad! C'mon! I know you're in there, you don't have to let the Goblin win.", Hobgoblin said as he pointed his blade at him to keep the Goblin away.

Green Goblin grinned as he held his arm up. "Agents! Don't let anyone else step a single foot here!" Fury yelled at his men as he put up a barrier between them, he said this as Norman began beating on the barrier with his electro-shock glove.

"Don't get in the way Harry.", The Spider said as his spider-legs emerged. "Open it Fury."

Fury looked at Harry, who nodded and took them down... only to see that the goblin wasn't there. "Guess we'll follow the path of destruction.", Harry said as the three ran down a stairway.

Curt was slumped up against a wall in pain. "Connors?", The Spider retracted his spider legs and ran over to him.

"He's not gone!" Curt yelled out as an explosion occurred nearby as a cackle was heard.

The Green Goblin flew out on a larger glider, with two pairs of gloves. "Such wonderful toys Connors, not only did you modify the original design but you made it even better!", Goblin yelled out as Harry's glider flew in and let its owner hop on.

The Green Goblin flew around the small room, shooting electro-blasts, dodging the razor bats of Harry along with The Spider's flamethrower, before getting blast back by another concussive blast and sent into a wall, shortly being drop kicked by The Spider off the glider. "You always were the best creature I've ever created. No more quips, no more games. You, Spider, are the ultimate lifeform."

"Be silent." The Spider growled as he ran in and started beating on him, clawing and scratching at him violently, sending him to his knees. "There's no room for jokes." He hissed at The Goblin as he drop kicked him through the Helicarrier, the glider flying out and after him.

Green Goblin laughed hysterically as he landed upright on his glider. "Let's finish this." He said as he proceeded to fly back up.

"He took out the engines! We're going down!", Fury said as he pressed a button. "This is Director Fury, order 9-alpha-zeta. Full evacuation of the Helicarrier!", his orders were heard over the intercom, causing every agent to start evacuating immediately.

"I ain't leaving yet.", The Spider said as Hobgoblin flew right next to him.

"That's an order soldier. This ain't my first rodeo I'm fine here. But I need you two on the ground floor if-!", Fury was cut off as the Goblin landed in the room through the roof.

"Please, we were just beginning to bond.", The Goblin grinned as he was starting to get webbed in the face before blasted with fire.

"We're going down! Hit the deck!", Hobgoblin said as he put up his force-field around himself as they crashed into the water.

The Spider shortly after leapt out of the water, ignoring the shearing headache as the Green Goblin stood before him. "Harry, get out of here. Help the others evacuate." He said as Harry couldn't help but do it, he needed to help them regardless. With this, Harry flew off to help the others.

"Let's finish this.", Green Goblin said as he received a punch to the face by The Spider, following up with a stab to the shoulder by his stingers. Then tossed into a drier area of the sinking Helicarrier, not as much water but not baron. He viciously beats on him before he was blasted away by a blast of green electricity. He stopped himself and used his webs to sling in and drop kick him.

He was sent to the ground and received violent and brutal punches, along with several sounds of flesh being ripped away. The Green Goblin was met with a face full of fire, greenish blood was leaking from his face as he looked on at the Spider with some amount of fear in his inhuman eyes.

The Spider noticed this and looked in the reflection of the water, he saw his younger self, when he was still starting out as a vigilante. He saw what he would've done if he didn't father his senses, a monster, then shortly after he got another vision of his past. The night his father died, he remembered the pain, anguish and rage. "No..." he leapt off him as the Goblin attempted to backhand him, leaping onto his glider. "I won't become that."

"Then you will forever be a mortal.", Green Goblin said with a scowl. "Our dance is far from over, another day." He said as he flew out.

[Pat, I think there's some other people inside. You need to help them.]

The Spider didnt respond, but dove into the water and swam through. He found Nick Fury just floating around, he quickly swooped him up and brought him to the escape module. Nick sat there as the water was drained and he was sent speeding onto the shore.

The Spider swam up for air and the last few agents. He exhaled and took a deep breath as he swam over to them, four escape modules were shot out and sped to the shore.

Curt looked on, being the ones Harry saved. He felt... proud of him, and how he grew. That was before it exploded in a blinding lights the rest of it sinking to the bottom.

One the of the final modules sped in and landed on the shore, with the Spider attached onto it. Lifting his mask up and coughing. "Oh that was painful.", he said as the agent inside got out.

Hobgoblin looked at him with a smile. "Thanks for sparing him bro.", he said as a smile grew on the Spider's face.

"Can't just take away someone's dad.", The Spider said as he pulled his mask down.

It was days after the attack on the Helicarrier, but it was just a few minutes after the funeral of Cindy Moon. Her family still nowhere to be seen... at least to Patrick's eyes. For all he knows, they could be watching him.

Harry offered to be the one to hunt down and stalk Green Goblin in order to find a way to cure him without others being harmed. Nothing came back from him yet. Patrick smiled and turned to walk out, getting a call from Yuri. "Hey Yuri, it's been a while."

[Hey, I'm... I'm sorry for your loss.]

"Dont worry about it okay? It wasn't your fault.", Patrick said as he looked at his watch. "What's going on?"

[Well there's a robbery somewhere in East Harlem. But I'm sending units on their way no-]

"Nah don't worry, I'm on the way.", Patrick said as he was already on a roof, Webbing his clothing to secure it, he wore his new suit of course but he replaced the black lenses and revert them back to white. Along with a lack of talons. "Gotta get my mind off things, y'know?"
