Titusville Florida, Dream Space Coast Apartments, Four Months Later, Thanksgiving Day

It was Thanksgiving and Alicia was in the middle of her second trimester. Clark and Alicia had really started looking forward to their baby's arrival, but Clark had especially began looking forward to it. He loved her and Grace more than life itself, but since her second trimester started Clark had been walking on eggshells around her as her mood changed quicker than Barry at his top speed. Clark never let it get to him whenever she got mad because minutes later, she would be apologizing and crying and then minutes after that she would be happy and wanting to cuddle.

He made sure to try and do as much as possibly allowed for her and had treated her like a porcelain doll which did not sit well with Alicia at first, but later found herself enjoying the treatment as he started relaxing around the thought of her still be durable. This was one of the main reasons why she on the couch with Grace watching Sesame Street while Clark was in the kitchen.

Clark had spent most of the day cooking and while he was only making food for four people and a toddler since it would be him, Alicia, Grace, April, and his mom he made way more food than they could possible and a lot of food that wasn't even Thanksgiving themed. With two people at the meal being pregnant each with their own set of cravings meant Clark was spending his time making a wide variety of food. Alicia had developed a major appetite as her pregnancy progressed, but still maintained her normal figure which led them to believe she required more than a normal pregnancy would.

April walked out of the bathroom and took a seat next to Alicia on the couch eyes still puffy and red. Alicia leaned over and gave her a one arm hug and consoled her, "I know it's hard and I can't even imagine what you're going through, but just remember we're always here for you." April gave her a thankful nod as she remembered getting news last month...

Alicia and Clark were both sound asleep when Alicia's phone started going off on her nightstand. This woke the both of them up as they always had an ear open in case Grace ever needed them. Alicia was going to silent it but saw that it was April through the slight opening of her eye and thought that it must have been an emergency for April to call her at this time and answered. Clark figured it was nothing and tried to go back to sleep until Alicia answered the call and they both heard hysterical crying coming from the other side immediately. They were both alarmed and at attention hearing this as Alicia asked, "April what's wrong? What happened? Where are you?" April tried answering the questions, but it all came out as incoherent babbling that they couldn't understand other than a few words here and there. One of the words they did understand was home so Alicia said, "Okay April, Clark and I are heading over to your place now." Alicia gave Clark a nod which he knew meant to get ready to super speed us over there and went to get Grace's carrier while Alicia went to try and get Grace without waking her up and putting her in her carrier while keeping April on the phone.

Clark sped them over to April's place where Alicia u opened the door using the spare keys, they had given each other in case of an emergency. As they walked in, they spotted April on her couch still crying clutching her phone in one hand and hugging her dog in the other. Alicia made her way over to the couch and April let go of her phone and dog and latched onto Alicia and started crying hysterically again. Alicia held her and let April unload her emotions on her shoulder.

Clark stayed standing next to them letting them have their moment while he took care of Grace.

After about ten minutes April whispered to Alicia, "He's dead. There was some accident that killed him and the Batson's in the tomb they were researching. They would tell me anything else." April started breaking down as she weakly stuttered out, "I can't even get his body back for a proper burial!" Alicia grew pale as she finally understood the reason her best friend was acting this way.

Clark also understood, and asked, "April, I know this hard, but can you tell me where he went and maybe I can try to find his body and bring it back for you." The tiniest bit of life came back to her eyes as she heard that and remembered who he was and that he was probably the only person she knew who could help her.

April quickly got up and went to their study and grabbed some of Theo's prep work to bring to Clark. She handed everything she had pertaining to his expedition to Clark and said, "He only told me he was going to explore the tomb of Rameses II at Abu Simbel, Egypt with some archeologists called the Batsons." Clark grabbed everything and gave a nod to them planning on how to go about searching for the Theo's body.

Unfortunately, Clark never found the body on his many searches.

Since then, April had spent more time with Alicia and Clark which they both understood that they needed to be there for her. She still had her really bad days where it seemed the only thing that kept her going was the child, she was carrying with the man she loved, but could no longer be with. This was one of the main reasons they tried to include her in their plans on important days since they didn't want her alone.

Often times both Alicia and April would spend their time planning for the incoming babies and imagining what it would be like in the future as the two grew up being close friends. Clark let them be while he finished cooking.

There was about an hour until seven pm and Clark had every finished cooking everything and setting the table when he called out to the Alicia, "Hun, I'm heading to pick up my mom I'll be back in a couple of minutes." Alicia gave a wave back and said, "Alright stay safe, see you and mom in a little." Clark locked the door and headed to his mom's office smiling as he remembered breaking the news of the pregnancy to his mom...

Topeka Kansas, Senator Kent's Office, Little Under Four Months Ago

Mrs. Kent was standing up leaning against her desk holding Grace in her arms staring at Clark and Alicia who had showed saying they had some news to share. Both were looking like two kids who were caught with their hands in the cookie jar and not sure what to say, so Martha decided she would help them get to the point of their visit and said, "I can assume you guys didn't just show up here for me to spend time with my granddaughter, so let's go ahead and tell me you guys want to." Alicia took the lead and thought, 'Like a band aid it's better to just rip it off in one go' and said, "I'm pregnant." Martha just rose an eyebrow at them before taking a seat across from them and keeping Grace in her lap.

Martha pondered what they said for a couple of seconds before sending them a kind smile and saying, "Well this came a lot sooner than any of us thought it would, so I guess the only I can really say is welcome to the family." Alicia sent her a big smile of her own and said, "Thank you Mrs. Kent" and anything else she was going to say was cut off as Martha said, "You might as well cut out the Mrs. Kent and start calling me mom. Which brings me to the next question of when are you going to get married." They both looked at each other then back to Martha as Alicia answered, "We were thinking of copying what a friend of mine did and just having a small ceremony on the beach." Martha gave a nod back as Clark asked, "Mom do you know any doctors that we could trust. We're not too worried about the birth as we don't think the baby will show any signs of powers until after the birth but growing up, we never really went to the doctor since I never needed to go to one. We're just worried with both Grace and the new baby both being half human they will probably have to visit a doctor at some of their lives." Martha gave them book a look of understanding as she tried thinking of any doctors that she would have trusted with Clark.

They stayed for about another hour since Martha wanted to spend some time with Grace and talk with Alicia about how she was feeling so far into the pregnancy.

Clark placed his mom down and opened the apartment door from bringing them back from Kansas. Clark let his mom go in first and locked the door behind them. Martha immediately went over to her granddaughter and picked her up from her play mat, pelting her with kisses. She took a seat on the couch next to Alicia, placing Grace on her lap and greeted them, "Hello you two, how have you guys been?" April started by saying, "Hello Mrs. Kent senior, everything is going fine other than the little one dancing on my bladder any chance she gets." Martha gave a smile towards her as she could tell that even though she was complaining she was still extremely happy that it was happening. Alicia answered next, "Hey Ma everything is going well, and he is also kicking up a storm in there, but I guess we were right in that none of those kicks have felt like a super kick yet." Martha also gave her a smile and placed a hand on Alicia's stomach.

Clark went about finishing everything that was needed and began setting up the table. He spent around ten minutes placing everything on the table and making sure it was at the optimal temperature before making his way over to the couch. As he reached them, he heard his mom say, "I'm sure they're going to be great friends with each other just like you two." Clark looked to his mol and said, "Mom please don't encourage them they're already planning the wedding between the two kids and they're not even born yet." Martha looked from Clark to Alicia and April and said, "He is always such a party pooper." Clark ignored the snickering from the three of them and informed them, "The meal is all set, so whenever you guys are ready." They all got up and made their way to the dining table.

Alicia broke off from them to put Grace to sleep while Clark helped his mom and April get situated. Alicia made her way out of their room and over to the table where Clark pulled out her chair for her and pushed in as she sat down. Clark grabbed the baby monitor before taking his own seat and placed it to his side in case Grace has any problems.

Before they started eating Alicia spoke up, "I just want thank you all for coming and having this meal with me and Clark. This last year has been a whirlwind of events for all of us, but at the end of the day I'm glad that I can always count on you guys to be there for us when we need it and we're glad to be there for either if needed." They all gave a thanks in return and began digging into the wonderful meal.

The table wasn't big enough to fit all the food that Clark had made, so anytime somebody wanted something from off the table Clark would always volunteer to get it. They all talked about various subjects throughout the meal with one catching Clark's attention. Martha asked, "So Clark have you heard about the story popping up in Gotham about some bat creature terrorizing the criminals of Gotham." Clark thought for a second as he remembered Oliver mentioning something about some strange activity over in Gotham city but other than that knew nothing else on the situation and replied, "It's the first I'm hearing about a bat creature." April jumped into the conversation by adding, "Speaking of Gotham, I recently found out that Gotham billionaire Bruce Wayne put in a large grant to help fund our research. Apparently, he is real interested in space programs, some people were even joking about how he is going to try and make his own space station in the future." They continued eating their meal conversing about things going on in their lives and exchanging funny stories of their past until it was finally time for dessert.

Clark took everyone's plate from the table and placed them in the sink and brought out the desserts to the table. The table was now lined up with pies, cobblers, and cookies, all of which were different in variety and flavor, as Clark knew they all had their own favorites.

While it may have looked like there was more than enough food to feed a village at the start of the meal, but by the end of the night and after Clark had packed leftovers for both April and his mom there was only a couple days' worth of food left for them. Clark sped their guests' home after they all exchanged goodbyes since it was starting to get late into the night.

Clark made it back home at around ten in the night and saw Alicia cleaning up the table and starting on the dishes. He walked over to her and placed both of his hands on the side of her hips and said, "You should go and relax while I take care of the cleanup" Alicia turned around and gave him a sensual kiss that lingered for a couple of seconds before saying. "Honey I'm pregnant not dying. This is the very least I can do after you slaved away in the kitchen all day, so please let me at least help you with this." Clark could for some reason never say no to her when she looked him in the eyes and sent a smile his way and he had a feeling it would be no different when Grace grew up.

They were both relaxing on the couch after the cleanup with Alicia leaning her head on Clark while had one hand running through her hair while the other lovingly rubbed her protruding belly. They were both enjoying the feeling of being together as Clark said, "I'm sorry that your parents declined our offer to join us for thanksgiving." Alicia let out a heavy sigh and tiredly said, "I think I really understood their feelings when they didn't care about the wedding. At this point I guess it really shouldn't faze me at how our relationship ended up, but in the back of my mind I always thought maybe we could work out everything from the past, but it seems they would rather just make it a clean break." Clark noticed tears were starting to trail down her face wiped them before saying, "It's their loss and I think the wedding was better without them there in the end."

Titusville Florida, Playalinda Beach, Three Months Ago, Seven Thirty PM

It was a small wedding held on the beach with a light setup for the ceremony to be had at sunset. It was arranged in a rush, but that didn't stop Alicia from making it her own. There was only around a dozen guests in total with Clark having his mom, Oliver, Chloe, Pete, Arthur, Victor and Barry while Alicia had her grandparents, April, and couple close friends from work and college.

Clark was standing in front of the minister as he watched Alicia being walked up the altar by her grandfather as her parents declined to come to the wedding, but her grandparents from her mother's side couldn't have been happier to come down for her. Alicia always had a great relationship with her grandparents and always felt that they were in her corner even during her more troubling times in Smallville. She was heartbroken when her parents had declined the wedding invitation but was able to pull it back together knowing that her grandparents couldn't wait to come and that her grandfather George would love to walk her down.

Clark was stunned, staring at her beauty almost as if a scene out of a movie with her in a white column wedding dress with the sun setting behind on the ocean. George finished and walked over to his seat with his wife Beth who was holding Grace the great granddaughter that they were shocked to recently learn about, but ecstatic to interact with.

Alicia and Clark stood in the front looking towards the minister as he spoke until it was the moment to exchange vows where they looked towards each other. Clark went first as he held her hand and said, "Alicia more than anything in this world I want you to be my friend, my lover, the mother of my children and my wife. I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish and respect you, to care and protect you, to comfort and encourage you, and stay with you, for all eternity. I promise you I will forever and always give you my love and devotion no matter the situation." Alicia gave smile as she took a breath and began her vows, "Clark I love you. You are my best friend. There was a time where I wondered if I would ever find someone who would make me feel whole, but you came into my life and you broke down my walls and found your way into my heart. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you and to always hold you in the highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life." The minister gave them both a smile and said, "I hereby pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride." They both moved in closer for a chaste kiss as everyone began clapping for the newly wed couple.
