Note: With this episode exploring the topic of true love, and today being Valentine's Day, I figured it be best to add some extra sweetness to this chapter. Enjoy!
True love, everyone had heard of it. It was one of the biggest forces of nature there was.
Granger didn't deny that true love existed, he just thought it was a bit silly. Until he met Hetty, and started to wonder if true love wasn't so silly.
Hetty believed that true love existed. She even had an exciting dating life back in the old days. But wasn't so lucky in finding her true love. But for the past few years since Granger joined her team, she had slowly started to wonder if maybe, she would get lucky at true love.
Present day
The topic of true love came up during the case the day before.
After the case was over, and everyone was done toasting to a job well done, Granger went over to Hetty's and asked her about true love, and her thoughts on it.
'I've always believed in true love, and have always believed that everyone deserves to find their one true love. That sad part is, in our line of work, it is harder to find a soulmate not just because of the secrets we must keep, but because of the uncertainity of our longevity during the job itself.' She said.
Which were all very good points.
The next day, Hetty found a note on her desk:
'I've always thought true love was silly, until I've gotten to know you, Now, I think true love is not so silly.'
'Aww.' Hetty thought sweetly to herself.
The person who wrote the note didn't sign it, but she recognized the writing.
There was a code on the back on the note, Hetty deciphered it, and it said:
'I love you. I hope to one day tell you in person instead of this.'
'Oh my!' Hetty immediately thought.
She then saw Granger walking up to OPS, then started blushing.
'Well. Looks like I better respond to this, romantic gesture.' She thought.
Later that day, Granger found a note on his desk that said:
'I appreciate the romantic gesture. While I've always believed in true love, I've also thought I'd never end up with anyone because of who I am. Now, I'm slowly starting to wonder if you could be my soulmate.'
It wasn't signed, but Granger recognized the writing.
And just like the note from that morning, there was a code on the back. This one, when deciphered, said:
'I'm figuring some feelings out for myself, one day soon, I'll tell you how I really feel about you.'
