A/N Hello, please read, this is a just friendly reminder. If you read chapter 56 and was a bit confused about certain things, that may have been because you skipped chapters 52-55, this is completely my fault as I did post these fives chapters (52-56) at the same time cause I wanted to make up for my one year absence. I apologise for the confusion.

Chapter 51, which focused on Team SKYJ, was the last chapter I posted before my one year of absence. Chapter 52-53 are focused on Team KSYS. Chapter 54-55 is focused on Team JNPR and co, including my OCs (Chelsae, David, Nathan, Ashley, etc) Chapter 55 in particular was my favourite among the five I posted as it featured Chelsea in a 1v1v1 battle royal which was really fun to write. So, if you're interested, please go check those out if you haven't already. Anyways, that's all I wanted to say, again sorry for the inconvenience, I will delete A/N this after a few days. I will shut up now. Enjoy!

Yuu/Strength vs Kagari/Chariot

(Part 1)

Otherselves: In Mato's world, each person has an "other self" which is an alternate counterpart to a human character that resides in the Otherworld. They are mostly solitary beings who have the ability to defend and fight with their unique powers and weapons. It is said that the Otherworld is a reflective portrayal of the human world where emotional dramas and conflicted are represented in the form of physical battles of combat. Each other self is connected to their parallel version, therefore, the outcome of these emotional conflicts in Mato's world...can determine the physical life or death of their otherselves in the otherworld.

It was a calm afternoon on that day, however, Yuu and Kagari decided to stay indoors to use the battle arena for training. Of course they asked for permission first.

Chariot and Strength sat in the empty audience, not speaking a word to the each other or even looking at each other in the eye. They simply spectated their other self in utter silence.

"You ready?" Yuu asked.

"Y-yeah?" Kagari nodded.

The orange eyed girl raised her giant metal arms defensively. Earlier, while Yuu was wondering around, she was randomly approached by Kagari and was asked if they could do more additional training. Mato was hanging out with the others and Yomi was nowhere to be seen so Yuu happily agreed. Although oddly enough, it was very awkward between Yuu and Kagari, it was as if they barely knew each other.

There were two reasons Yuu could think of: First, the only reason they had become friends was through Mato and would only meet as a group of four. Second, Yuu had switched places with Strength for a long period of time so she only recently got to actually meet the blonde girl.

The classroom that held this arena was fairy large with more than enough room to fit seats around the area for the audience to watch from a safe distance. In this case, there were only two spectators.

Kagari summoned her sword. Her metal legs made a metallic noise before she ran at her mentor.

Yuu stayed still as Kagari-

slashed Yuu's arm and then kicking her hard in the head.

There was no sanity present in Kagari's face as every one of her attacks were merciless. The blonde jumped at Yuu while she was on the ground with her blade pointing at her neck.

Yuu threw her giant metal arms in front of her to block. Once Kagari's blade had hit her arms, Yuu swung them, sending Kagari flying. The blonde backflipped back onto her legs safely. She raised her sheild to blocked Yuu's giant fist. Yuu threw her other giant arm. Kagari blocked with her sword but still received a bit of damage.

"Yomi..." Kagari said with a possessive, creepy tone.

"OPEN YOUR EYES KAGARI! I'm n-"

Kagari zoomed passed Yuu. The metal legs had propelled Kagari forward so fast that Yuu couldn't follow that speed with her eyes. A deep cut appeared in Yuu's shoulders. She cried out in pain.

Kagari turned around, "Yoooomi..."

"Yomi? What about her?" Yuu asked.

"There's something strange going on with her." Kagari explained, "I think her obsession with Mato is growing."

After a long day of combat practise, Kagari had invited Yuu over to her dorm for tea as thanks. Kagari had set everything very neatly: the table cloth was ironed; tea pots, cups and cutlery were all sparkling clean as if they were brand new and the overall room was very organised and tidy.

Kagari also made tea and provided some macaroons which she placed nicely onto a plate.

Strength and Yuu stared at the setup like it was a house of cards. To them, it looked like it was all perfectly set up for a movie, and just moving their hand would break the whole thing. Kagari, however, didn't seem to mind to touch the perfection she had created and began pouring tea for everyone. Unknowing to Kagari, Chariot was glaring daggers at the other set of twins, most likely cause she wanted to spend this tea time alone with her other self. They tried to ignore her.

There was one strange detail Yuu noticed: the table was set up for six people, not four. She didn't want to be rude so she didn't question it.

Eventually things became less tense as they began conversing on several casual topics and slowly got to know each other a bit more. It was incredibly ironic. It was dawning on both of them that they knew more about the people from other worlds... then the friend they had been hanging out with in their world.

Their conversation continued until finally, Yomi's name was mentioned.

Yuu placed down her tea cup, she too had noticed Yomi's recent behaviour, "Where is Yomi right now?"

"Probably stalking Mato again." Kagari said bluntly.

Yuu flinched. She thought she was the only one who noticed. Was Yomi being too obvious?

"Should we do something about it? Like warn Mato or something?" Yuu asked.

"How would Yomi react if she found out Mato only hung out with her because we told her to." Strength added, "and if she's always watching Mato, she would know. She also might get jealous just from us interacting with her."

"Aren't you overthinking this a bit too much?" Kagari raised an eyebrow.

"You can never know with that girl...especially with the state she's in right now."

"Surprised they haven't destroyed the school yet," Chariot suddenly spoke, surprising everyone, "...do you... know how it feels to discover that your existence is no longer needed."

Yuu and her twin stared at Chariot, contemplating what she had said.

On the other hand, with a blank expression, Kagari raised her hand and flicked Chariot in the head.

"Ouch," Chariot said apathetically with the same expression as Kagari's.

"This is a tea party, lets not ruin the mood."

"Ok."

Strength eyed Chariot carefully as she sipped her tea.

A rapid barrage of giant punches landed constantly on a shield.

Chariot swiftly zoomed backwards and then jumped forward sending a fast high jump kick with her sharp wheels. Strength blocked with her arms. Two additional metal arms protruded from her back and grabbed Chariot's face. Strength threw Chariot towards a wall. The moment Chariot crashed, Strenght jumped at her and punched her in the face, sending Chariot crashing through two more walls.

From the side, Mary opened its mouth and fired a barrage of giant macaroons. Strength aimed her two left metal arms and turned them into gatling guns. Bullets turned macaroons into splattered dough. One giant macaroon slipped past and smashed Strength's head.

Chariot zoomed pass Strength. slicing her hips. Chariot turned around and threw her sheild.

Strength caught it. Spikes emerged from the shield, piecing Strength's giant metal hand. This distracted Strength, allowing Chariot to get close and drive her sharp wheels into Strength's shoulders. Orange blood splattered everywhere as she cried out in pain.

Her other two giant metal arms threw themselves at Chariot. She blocked with her shield but was sent back.

It hurt. It was a pain that Strength never forgot. She used to be afraid of such pain. It was why she switched places with her other self back then. But now, she knew what she had to fight whether she feared it or not.

Her wounds began closing themselves. Chariot and Mary prepared to attack again. Strength stood up and braced herself as-

Yomi entered the room with her head facing the floor. Yuu and Kagari froze for a moment as they looked at her.

As expected, Dead Master was there with her. Chariot glanced up at Dead Master who glanced back at her. Strength eyed them both. Yuu gulped. Kagari remained neutral. The atmosphere had become tensed.

Yomi looked up and noticed the tea set, the macaroons, and the neatly arranged tables and chairs, "...You're having a tea part...Without me?"

Those last two words struck like lightning. Yuu could've sworn she heard the sound of a metal chain. Strength eyed Dead Master's claw, ready to jump in front of Yuu. Chariot and Dead Master continued staring at each with no known emotion. It felt like a battle could break out instantly, and over a tea party of all things.

Kagari, however, as if she was used to it, remained calm as she gestured to the two empty chair next to her and Chariot, "There's always a spot here for you Yomi. I even sent you an invite."

As if not believing her at first, Yomi quickly checked her Remnant mobile device known as a scroll.

It was then Yuu realised why Kagari set up the table for six people and not four. After all, this was also Yomi's dorm so she was bound to come home anytime. Now that she thought about it, there was also enough tea and macaroons for Yomi and her other self as well.

"Oh," Yomi finally spoke after she found Kagari's message.

This told everyone that Yomi wasn't checking her messages at all which was not normal for her.

Remembering her previous words and initial reaction, Yomi's face turned red as she bowed her head, "I'm so sorry."

"No need to apologise, we're roommates remember. Now quick, take a seat," Kagari pulled back Yomi's chair, "tea is still warm."

Yomi took a seat as she softly thanked Kagari. Dead Master sat next to Chariot.

Yuu observed. She had never seen this side of Kagari. Although, to be honest, she had barely seen any side of Kagari to begin with.

"Hello Yuu." Yomi waved.

"Hi." Yuu waved back awkwardly.

All topics concerning Yomi was dropped for obvious reasons. They also took extra care not to mention Mato's name, there were even several times where Kagari and Yuu would work together to change the subject when necessary. They focused on more lighter and harmless topics.

"Which macaroons are your favourite btw?" Kagari asked.

"The chocolate one."

"Really? I prefer the strawberry ones."

Kagari chucked with an amused grin.

"What's so funny?" Yuu asked.

"Chariot and I made these. I can assure you...they're all the same."

"EHHH?!" Both Yomi and Yuu exclaimed at the same time.

"Yep, all of them are the exact same flavour. All I did was change the food colouring."

"No way," Yuu grabbed a brown macaroon and ate it, "this is clearly chocolate!"

Yomi stared at the pink macaroon like it was an extinct animal, she took another bite, " Really?"

"All of them are vanilla," Kagari crossed her arms proudly as if she had just checkmated someone in chess, "I read it up online. It's a psychological thing. Apparently the visual of the colour alone can trick the brain into thinking it's a different flavour. Sounded interesting so I decided to test it...to think it actually works though."

Yomi's mouth was wide opened. Dead Master didn't care.

Yuu took another brown macaroon, "...THIS IS CLEARLY CHOCOLATE!"

"Hehehehe." Kagari giggled.

Shock shortly turned into joint laughter. For a moment the three middle schoolers had forgotten about the tense atmosphere between their other selves. Even when the macaroons had finished, they continued talking.

"How did you get this tea set?" Yomi asked out of curiosity.

"It was a present that Yang got for Blake but Blake ended up only liking the box rather than the actual set." Kagari explained, "So I asked for it, since Yang wasn't into tea sets."

"AHaHa! Lol, Of course the Faunus would have animal-like characteristics." Yuu chuckled.

Yomi gasped playfully, "Wait...Yuu, isn't that... racist?"

Kagari looked at Yuu and clicked her tongue, "Wow Yuu, how dare you. You should be ashamed of yourself."

"I didn't mean it like that!"

They laughed again. Besides the fact that Mato wasn't there, it felt like the times they used to get together before getting stranded on Remnant. No life or death battles, no evil enemies to fight, and no scary monsters. Just four girls with their bentos and huge amounts of homework to complain about.

"How are you two copping?" Kagari suddenly asked, "With everything that's going on."

It was silent at first. The two other girls thought about it. Dead, Chariot and Strength eyed the girls carefully. Surprisingly, Yomi was the first to answer, "I want to go back. I miss my parents. I miss school. I miss...my home."

She began to cry and shake. Kagari gently patted Yomi's shoulder, "We all want to Yomi."

"That's why we all need to work together," Yuu pitched in, "so we can go home as soon as possible...Ok?"

Yomi wiped her tears and just silently nodded.

With that, they ended their small tea party. Dead Master tucked Yomi to bed as Yuu helped Kagari clean up.

"You know...I originally didn't like you."

Kagari raised an eyebrow. Chariot glared.

"Mato told me a lot about you. Thought you were always bad news."

Unknowing to both of them, the word "Mato" caught Yomi's attention from the bedroom and began listening.

"Well...I used to be." Kagari admitted.

"But now I know...you're honestly a good person, Kagari. From what I've seen you're a great friend," Yuu continued, "you and Yomi are quite close huh?"

"Yeah."

Yuu turned to Kagari and offered her hand, "Well, I hope you and I can become just as close."

Kagari smiled back as she accepted the hand shake, "I hope so too."

Yuu coughed blood as she stared at the sky. A familiar pain coursed through her body.

She stood back up, only to receive a kick to her stomach. Yuu slid across the floor. By the time Yuu stopped, Kagari had reached her using another burst of force from her metal legs.

Yuu blocked the blonde's sword but Kagari's shield bashed her head.

Yuu jumped back, staggering, "Come on, Kagari! I'm-"

She was interrupted by a shield throw. Yuu fought defensively. Things were looking bad for her. Yuu seemed to be the only one taking damage at this point. She was beginning to receive wounds faster than her healing.

"Kagari! Please!"

Kagari giggled as her sword pierced Yuu's shoulder. Yuu desperately tried to reach Kagari with her words but no matter what she said, Kagari had that same creepy smile on her face. It was as if the Kagari had been possessed by something.

A shield bashed her leg. Several sword cuts kept appearing on her body. The blood being splattered were now mostly orange. Even her metal arms were beginning to be chipped away.

Yuu's back hit a wall. She kneeled down and crossed her metal arms in front of her. In a crazy like manner, Kagari began bashing, slicing and hitting Yuu's metal arms, "Yomi. Yomi. Yomi."

"This is not you Kagari."

Yuu's arms were huge so it manage to cover most of Yuu's body. However the impacts of Kagari's attack were slowing breaking her defence.

"This is not you at all. Who did this to you...Kagari?"

The blonde most likely couldn't even hear Yuu anymore. The noise of weapons clashing and her laughing drowned her words out.

"Come on Kagari. What am I suppose to do? I...I don't want to hurt y-"

Something caught the metal armed girl's eye. It was so minuscule that Yuu wondered how she was even able to spot it while being under a barrage of attacks.

Maybe she had gone mad and was hallucinating under all her stress or maybe she mistook blood for it but what Yuu saw was...a tear. A small tear running down Kagari's cheek.

Help...

The blonde jumped and smashed the wall above Yuu so that debris and rocks would fall on top on Yuu.

Kagari stopped. She stared at the pile of rubble that had buried her friend. Her hands shook.

Suddenly, a fist smashed out towards Kagari and punched her. The blonde crashed into another wall. The blonde sat up, glaring at the person who had punched her, "Ehhhhh? Yomi?"

"I'm not Yomi. I'm one of your new friends," Yuu stood up confidently, ignoring all her wounds. She now knew what Kagari wanted and how to fix her, "We had just become close buddies. I don't want to lose that, Kagari. So as your friend...I will defeat you here...no hard feelings...ok?"

Kagari stood up. Another burst from her legs and Kagari was seen flying towards Yuu.

Yuu took in a quick breathe. She was no longer going to hold back.

The battle between Chariot and Strength was destructive.

Four metal arms turned into Gatling guns. A barrage of bullets were fired.

The bullets destroyed everything around Chariot but none of them pierced her shield. Her wheels roared loudly as Chariot drove forward with her shield covering her. Strength kept firing, bullets slipped past and pierced Chariot's cheek, shoulders, and legs. But as long as her shield and wheels remained indestructible, Chariot kept moving forward.

One machine gun turned back into a fist while the other three kept firing. Strength prepared herself. Chariot reached her. Strength threw a fist. Chariot parried.

The guns stopped firing.

Strength's arm was flung upwards and Chariot's sword slipped from her hand. Her claw like hand formed a fist. At the same time, a machine gun turned back into a fist.

The two other selves punched each other at the same time with extreme power. However, the person to keep on the attack...was Chariot. As Strength fell backwards, Chariot did a backflip, causing her sharp wheels to land a vertical cut down Strength's body. Blood splattered everywhere.

Strength fell back. She could still control her arms. Her back giant metal arms stopped Strength from falling. The other two arms blocked Chariot's shield that was thrown at her.

Chariot zoomed backwards towards her sword that she had dropped. Once Chariot was a certain distance away from Strength, Mary took the opportunity to fire giant macaroons again.

There wasn't enough time to get out her machine guns so Strength threw all four of her metal arms in front of her and tanked it.

The giant macaroons, of all different colours, smashed onto Strength's arms. The barrage kept going for almost a minute before stopping.

Splattered macaroon mush were everywhere, mixing in with the blood that was shed during the battle. Still standing in the middle of the fire zone was Strength. Chariot grabbed her sword and glared.

The battle had temporary ceased to allow both sides to recover a bit.

"Why are you fighting?" Strength took the opportunity to ask, "Your other self Kagari has been corrupted. Shouldn't we be working together? The real enemy is the one who is controlling Kagari. Don't tell me you've been corrupted as well?"

"No. I have not."

"Then why?"

"I fight with my other self. Everything I do is for her. She is fighting your other self, therefore I must fight you. That is how its always been." The crowned woman answered with the same apathetic look that she always wore.

"...I see."

"Now let me ask a question."

Strength wasn't expect that.

"Back then...why did you switch places with your other self and make her go through such danger?"

Strength had a feeling she would ask that. Now that she thought about it, Strength and Yuu were probably the only ones who ever did that so its no surprise that it would catch the interest of others.

"Its simple really: I was scared."

"You're a coward."

"Probably. Yuu hated her world and I hated mine. So we switched."

Chariot remained silent. She opened her mouth to ask another question only to stop herself when she sensed something. Strength knew what it was.

"Mary." Chariot ordered.

As if reading her mind, the giant spider ran in a certain direction, running over anything that was in its path. Strength knew where that direction lead to. She turned her two arms into machine guns and aimed at the retreating Mary.

Despite the great distance between them, Chariot was seen directly in front of Strength within seconds. A sword smashed the two machine guns that were about to fire. Strength threw her other two metal arms, Chariot blocked with her sheild.

Just like that, their intense battle continued.

It was late. Under her other self's request, Yuu had left by herself to her dorm leaving only Kagari, Strength and Chariot in the room.

"Kagari, do you mind if I could talk to Chariot in private?" Strength requested, "I'll take care of the dishes."

Chariot and Kagari glanced at each other.

"Do whatever you want," Kagari answered, "just don't destroy the school."

"Thank you."

"Come Mary, time to sleep," Kagari picked her doll before going to the bedroom to join Yomi and Dead Master.

With that, the two were left alone in silence.

The only sound that could be heard was the noise of running water and clinking dishes.

Chariot's 'legs' glowed and shifted back into her original sharp wheels. She was more comfortable like this.

Chariot rolled over next to Strength and silently began drying the dishes that Strength washed.

It was an odd sight to see: two individuals born to fight were peacefully doing the dishes.

Only one light was on which illuminated the kitchen just enough for them to see. Every so often Chariot would glance over at Strength, wondering what she wanted to talk about, however, she didn't say anything.

Strength washed another dish without saying anything. Maybe she wanted to make sure that Kagari was asleep first, Chariot wondered.

"What's it like?" Strength finally spoke, "you know...meeting your other self."

"..." The blonde dried another dish.

"Is Kagari exactly how you imagined?"

Chariot stopped for a moment as if thinking about it, "...What do you want?"

"Yuu and Kagari seem to be getting along," Strength turned to Chariot and gave a small smile, "I just thought maybe we could do the same."

The dishes were done and packed away in their respective places. After the cleanup was done, Chariot sat down, staring at the table where they had all enjoyed tea and macaroons.

Strength remained standing. After waiting another minute of no words being said, she headed for the door.

"Ok..."

Strength froze as she looked back at Chariot who was now staring back at her. The giant arm user smiled, "Could you thank Kagari for me?"

"Sure."

The lights went out, and the two went back to their other selves.

She came falling from the sky with a giant metal fist. The crowned blonde drove away to avoid before swiftly driving straight towards her after the giant fist cracked the ground.

A blade clashed with her metal arms. A metal fist met the centre of her shield for who knows how many times now.

The two other selves looked at each other, one was filled with concern while the other remained neutral.

Strength pulled back three of her arms and punched her opponent in the head, chest and shoulder.

At the same time,

Chariot swung her sword horizontally and stabbed her sword deep into the side of Strength's hip.

"She really is trying to kill me."

Strength smashed the ground, making it difficult for Chariot to move around with her wheels due to the broken ground.

Chariot drove away and stopped where the ground was flat. She checked her surroundings, without Mary she no longer had any range attacks beside throwing her shield. Chariot scanned the environment, thinking about how to counter this.

"Is there really no other way we can handle this?" Strength asked.

Chariot didn't say a word but Strength still got her answer.

"I guess somethings never change."

Chariot spotted something and she instantly drove towards it. Strength saw it as well. It was an incline plane, a ramp that was coincidently created from debris. Chariot drove up it and reached an incredible height, directly above Strength.

With her sword and shield, Chariot fell towards her.

Strength raised her four metal arms defensively, planning to use this to later counter and get the upper hand. She would block the attack and then use her upper two arms to grab Chariot and pin her down.

At least that's what Strength had in mind.

Chariot threw her sword. The sword moved like a bullet, piercing straight through her metal arms and into Strength's shoulder. With her shield in front of her, Chariot then landed on top of her blade, pushing her sword through the metal arms and even deeper into Strength's shoulder.

More blood splattered. Strength gritted her teeth, endured the pain and reached for Chariot with her other metal arm. Seeing this, Chariot backflipped off Strength, using the momentum to pull out her sword mercilessly and also use her sharp wheels scratched Strength's arms as she did so.

The pain in Strength's shoulder burned even more when the sword was forcefully pulled out.

However, she would have no chance to rest and heal as Chariot drove towards her with speed that far exceeded a car. She threw her shield. Strength avoided. Chariot swung her sword. Strength swung her giant arm. They clashed. The sword was knocked out of the owner's hand. Her metal arm was also deflected.

Strength's clenched her other metal fish.

Chariot clenched her claw.

Two fist collided, creating a loud boom.

Their fight would continue as long as their other selves fought, meaning there was only one person Strength could rely on to stop this battle.

"Yuu...I'm counting on your."

A/N END!

Looks like its better if I stick to just shorter, 4000 word chapters. They're certainly a lot less stressful to make. If I stick to that, the fastest I can write and proofread a chapter is in two weeks (even though before I could write it in a day lol). Not much to say in this one besides I hope you enjoyed the read.

I hope I haven't changed Kagari's character too much. Its been a long time since I've written so apologies if certain characters act a little bit off. Anyways, now that I'm beginning to proofread more, I notice all the mistakes I keep making and it honestly makes me wonder how you guys still read my stories despite all my stupid mistakes. Hoepfully they won't happen anymore...hopefully.

I would like to thank all the people who also left a review.

XP4Universe, SomeonestupED, damnlastwords, XYGirl2019 and Johnawake: AYYEEE! What's up guys! Man it's been a while. So glad to see your guys are still as lively as ever. Seriously, you guys are the best. Thanks for all the support and still remembering me. :).

That's all I have to say for this one, thank you for reading and ah yeah...bye!
