AN: Enjoy!

Wanda stepped into Vivian's room, and the little girl almost jumped at the sound, but relaxed when she realised it was only Wanda.

"Mama.."

"Fata Dulce" said Wanda gently, crouching to her daughter's eye level, "What are you doing to poor Rocket? And all your other favourite things?

"I.. It's only for a little bit" Viv tried to explain. "I'll get him out when.."

"Your Grandma and Grandpa go home.. I heard" Wanda interrupted, frowning. "They aren't arriving for another week. There's no reason for you to hide Rocket away now."

"But.."

"De fapt, there's no reason for you to hide him at all."

"But Mama.." Viv tried again. "I.."

"I think we might have talked about this before, remember?" Wanda shifted so that she was sitting, and tugged Viv onto her lap. "You are allowed to like whatever you want to like."

"I know.. but Grandma and Grandpa want me to be a proper little lady.. Whatever that means."

"Well, Fata Dulce, most people nowadays just take it to mean having good manners, which you already do" said Wanda. "But.. some older people think that there are still other parts to it.. like wearing pretty dresses and things all the time, or playing with dolls, and not getting dirty."

"Oh.."

"But those things aren't really so important anymore.. and even if they were, most people don't expect you to have mastered being a perfect lady at Six.."

"Grandma said my Mommy was.." Viv frowned.

"It sounds like your poor Mommy was under a lot of pressure." Wanda sighed. "I definitely wasn't a perfect lady at Six years old.. I'm still not."

"Yes you are, Mama!" Cried Viv in disbelief. "I think you are, and Daddy does.."

"It's sweet of you both to think so" Wanda chuckled, running a hand through Viv's golden hair. "But, in the past, I may have done things that would make most people disagree with you.."

"Like what?" Viv seemed confused.

"If I ever do tell you about it, it will not be until you are mult mai vechi.. A lot older" said Wanda. "Anyway, we are getting a bit off topic. My point is that I want you, fetita mea, to be yourself. That means accepting you and loving you as you are, and letting you like the things that make you happy. If your Grandma and Grandpa love you as much as I would like to hope they do, they will think the same thing."

"They will?"

"I hope so.. So how about you go get Rocket and your other little friends out of the closet?" Wanda smiled. "And come out, when you're ready? Your Daddy is a little bit worried about you.."

"Okay, Mama."

Wanda watched Viv hurry back over to the closet before she stood to leave the room, hoping very much that she was right about Vivian's Grandparents.

As soon as Wanda headed back out to Vision, he handed her a mug of hot tea.

"Thanks, Vizh" Wanda smiled gratefully as she took a sip, sitting down on the couch with a sigh.

"How did it go?" Vision sat beside her nursing his own mug of tea, his brow crinkling in concern.

"Well, I found her stuffing all of her favourite toys in the back of the closet because they aren't the right thing for a 'little lady' to be playing with when her Grandparents arrive" She sighed again, laying her head on Vision's shoulder.

"Oh.." Vision frowned.

"Apparently, Virginia was already a perfect little lady at Viv's age.."

"I know.." Vision sighed himself. "I've heard that before too.."

"This might seem like a strange question.. And if it's too uncomfortable to ask, you don't have to.."

"I am comfortable with anything you want to ask me, Wanda" He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "Nothing is off limits."

"I'll keep that in mind" Wanda smiled softly. "So.. what was Virginia like, when you met her?"

"Well.. She seemed rather tightly wound, to begin with.. So was I, at the time" Vision began. "Both under pressure, her from her parents, me from the teachers that had kept me in the country.."

"So, that led to the two of you.."

"Stress relieving together, I suppose you'd say" Vision blushed.

"Did you meet her parents before or after.. Um.."

"Viv happened? It was after. I didn't meet Todd and Sharon until Virginia was near the end of her first trimester. And when I did, it seemed quite obvious what I was originally supposed to be."

"What do you mean?" Wanda asked, confused.

"The only daughter of a well-off couple sleeping with a 'scruffy orphan boy scraping by on a scholarship'?.. Todd's words, not mine.. I was Virginia's attempt at rebellion."

"Because of the pressure she was under.." Wanda wondered aloud.

"I have always thought so" Vision confirmed. "They loved Virginia, of course, but they had such high expectations of her. Unbelievably high. It was a lot to live up to, trying to be perfect all the time. And sometimes I worry that.."

"They might be holding Viv to those same unbelievably high expectations.." Wanda frowned.

"Exactly.." Vision sighed. "And.. It's hard to know what exactly to do about it. Viv loves them, they're her Grandparents.."

"Oh, I know exactly what we should do.." said Wanda seriously.

"Wanda, I don't want to cut Vivian off from her only connection to her Mother.."

"That's not what I'm suggesting at all" Wanda quickly tried to clarify. "It's just.. You're not usually with Viv when she spends time with her Grandparents, are you?"

"Well, no.. It makes for some rather uncomfortable dynamics if I stay too long.. So this Thanksgiving.."

"Will probably be uncomfortable," Wanda agreed. "But at least Viv has us around this time. We can keep an eye on the situation, pull them up if we see something we don't like."

"You're right," Vision smiled. "This Thanksgiving together could be a good thing."

"It could" Despite having made this new plan, Wanda couldn't help still feeling slightly nervous about what was to come. "So.. Todd and Sharon was it?"

"That's right."

"What do you think they'll think of me?"

"I'm not sure.. But I do know one thing" Vision leaned in to kiss her, "They won't know what's hit them if they wake Wanda Maximoff's Mama Bear.."

"Mmmm.." Wanda returned the kiss, relaxing into it, so much so that she didn't notice Viv creeping back into the room, clutching Rocket Raccoon, until the little girl giggled.

Wanda and Vision sprang apart.

"Well, hello Miss Vivian.." Vision blushed. "What are you and Rocket doing?"

"We wanted to see if we could have a cuddle.." Viv replied, blushing.

"The answer to that is always yes" Wanda's heart melted, and she and Vision both set aside their mugs. "Come here, Fata Dulce."

Viv ran over, diving into their arms, and Wanda knew she would do absolutely anything to keep her as happy as she was right now.

All they needed to do was survive Thanksgiving.
