Yami Bakura vs Yami Yugi Part 3: Come Forth Slifer the Sky Dragon!

I don't own Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh

"The card I've just drawn will bring about the end for you, it's over." Bakura told Yami while looking at his newly drawn card as the blimp continued its path through the skies.

"Enough talk, what're you talking about?" Yami questioned him.

"You may have defeated the magic of my Dark Sanctuary, but that was only a temporary victory for you. A magic that powerful does not easily fade away, now I summon Jowgen the Spiritualist in Attack mode." He said as he summoned his monster.

The monster appeared on the field and resembled a shaman like being with yellow skin and wearing mystical looking robes while holding a simple staff in hand, it did not seem threatening as it had only 200 Attack points and 1300 Defence points but from Bakura's smirk Yami began to worry.

"What's your plan, tell me?" he shouted at Bakura.

"I'm stumped, what's that card do?" Terriermon asked Willis while sitting on his partner's head.

"How should I know? I've never seen that card before."

"Well, aren't you the expert?" the Digimon asked with a teasing grin which the other two Digimon and Kari shared, making the blonde sigh.

"Thanks to the magic of Jowgan the Spiritualist, by discarding one card in my hand I can destroy all specially summoned monsters on the field." Bakura told Yami.

"No way!" Joey exclaimed.

"Way." Daisuke said with a frown. "Because Yami special summoned Dark Necrofear to the field using Monster Reborn, Bakura can destroy it."

"But won't that bring back the Dark Sanctuary with all the creepy eyeballs and ghosts like last time?" Serenity asked her and she nodded.

"And so, I sacrifice this card…" Bakura said, placing one of the two cards in his hand into the Graveyard slot. "To let Jowgen do my dirty work for me. Destroy Dark Necrofear!" his monster nodded and spun its staff around before firing a blast of purple magic at Dark Necrofear which glowed brightly before it was destroyed in a flash of light.

"You've sent Dark Necrofear to the Graveyard, that can only mean one thing." Yami said, watching as the entire duel arena became surrounded by the dark, evil magic of the Dark Sanctuary as it returned to the field.

"Yes, Dark Sanctuary has returned to the field engulfing it with its dark magic. And now I will be able to play the final letter of the Destiny Board without discarding any of my other magic cards, this duel is over for you." Bakura told Yami with a grin.

"Come on Yami, I know you can do it." Daisuke said, clenching her fist as her siblings looked at her. "I know things look tough now, but Yami and Yugi always pull through no matter how hard things get."

"I suggest you surrender to me now; I am only one letter away from completing the Destiny Board. I shall reveal the final letter next turn and you will automatically lose everything." Bakura told Yami. "And now I sacrifice Jowgen to keep Dark Sanctuary on the field." He continued as the mist around him consumed his monster. "And I set one card face down to end my turn."

"Wait, if Dark Sanctuary is back doesn't that mean that Evil Ghost thing's back too?" Joey asked.

"That is right, this isn't good. If Yami attacks Bakura with a possessed monster he'll lose more of his life-points and lose the duel." Mokuba answered.

"And that face down card Bakura played is probably a second Dark Spirit of the Silent to force the possessed monster into attacking if Yami attacks with an unpossessed monster." Daisuke added.

"Make your move so I can end this duel!" Bakura told Yami with a growl as he grew more and more impatient.

"There is one card in my deck that can help me win this, but it might be too powerful and dangerous to play." Yami thought, looking at his duel disk. "Slifer the Sky Dragon, if I don't play the Egyptian God Card this turn I am finished."

"Have faith in the Heart of the Cards." Yugi said, appearing beside him in spirit. "We have to win this duel, or the entire world will be in danger, we cannot afford to lose."

"Yes, you're right." Yami replied as he went to draw his next card, as he drew it from the deck a pulse of energy surged through his body making his eyes widen, slowly he looked at the card and saw that he had indeed drawn the Egyptian God Card.

High above the blimp, the dark clouds gathered before a massive bolt of lightning shot down from the heavens slamming into the Dark Sanctuary and Bakura screamed in terror stepping back from the bright flash of light. "Prepare to face a power like no other, Bakura. I sacrifice Dark Magician Girl, Gamma the Magnet Warrior and Big Shield Gardna!" Yami shouted, the three monsters turning into beams of light one by one and entering the card Yami held high above his head which glowed brightly. "To summon the almighty, Slifer the Sky Dragon!"

He played the card on his duel disk and more blasts of lightning shot out around the entire blimp dispelling the Dark Sanctuary for a time as the mighty and enormous God monster appeared wrapping its body several times around the blimp, it then unleashed a roar at Bakura who stumbled backwards. "The Egyptian God Card…the one Marik desires, but how can I defeat this all-powerful beast, I was so close to winning." He thought.

"What is that thing?" Joey asked, stepping back in fear.

"Slifer the Sky Dragon…an Egyptian God Card." Daisuke whispered; her eyes wide as she took in the sight of the mighty dragon. "Magnificent."

"It's about time he played it, but he better enjoy it for now. Before the finals are over, the card will be in my deck." Kaiba thought with a smirk.

Meanwhile in Ishizu's room, she looked out the window to see Slifer's body around the blimp. "Just as my Millennium Necklace foretold, the Pharaoh has summoned Slifer the Sky Dragon. All three Egyptian God Cards are aboard this aircraft and my brother Marik must not obtain them, the only one who can stop my brother from seizing the powers of the Egyptian God Cards is the Pharaoh himself." She thought.

Back on the duel arena, Bakura was gritting his teeth, glaring up at Slifer the Sky Dragon. "You may have summoned your Egyptian God Card, but that does not ensure your victory. I've come too far to lose now."

"I'm afraid it's too late." Yami told him as Slifer roared at his master's enemy.

"I knew this was going to happen." Marik said, appearing in Bakura's mind once again. "If you're going to win this duel you'll need me."

"Go on." Bakura replied, making Marik smirk.

"The number of cards Yami holds in his hand determines how many Attack points Slifer has, since Yami has three at the moment, this gives Slifer the Sky Dragon a total of 3000 Attack points." He informed Bakura. "In a single attack you'll be finished since you only have 1200 life-points remaining."

"Never, my Evil Ghost of Dark Sanctuary still haunts the field. Now possess Slifer the Sky Dragon!" he commanded the Ghost of Dark Sanctuary which flew around his body before heading towards Slifer, only when the ghost neared the Egyptian God it turned to smoke and vanished. "What's happened, my ghost didn't possess his monster."

"Listen, you have much to learn about the power of an Egyptian God Card." Marik told him.

"This can't be. Slifer the Sky Dragon is much too powerful, I have no more cards in my hand, no monsters to protect me. Dark Sanctuary was my only hope, but Slifer has rendered it useless, what can I do against such an unstoppable monster. All I have is my face down trap card, but it is of no use to me, I can't lose there is too much at stake for me. I must win!"

"You won't win, this duel is over!" Yami shouted.

"It's over for me." Bakura thought.

"Not yet, I have a plan for us." Marik told him with a cruel smirk.

"What is it!?" Bakura shouted at the manas Yami prepared to finish the duel.

"Slifer the Sky Dragon attack his life-points with…" he trailed off as the Millennium Puzzle pulsed gently and he turned around seeing Odion walking out of the elevator holding the Millennium Rod in his hand.

"Marik, what does he want?" Daisuke whispered looking at the cloaked man with a glare, stepping in front of Serenity and Joey quickly.

"I would think twice before attacking with Slifer the Sky Dragon." Odion told Yami with a neutral expression.

"What do you want Marik?" Yami asked him.

"You jerk, come over here and get some of this!" Joey shouted at the man but as he ran past Daisuke he was held back by Serenity and Kaiba.

"Calm down runt, I don't think you wanna mess with a guy twice your size." Kaiba told him with a cold tone as he too glared at Odion while Marik watched on with a smirk.

"The fools all think he is me." He thought gleefully.

"Just who do you think you are? You can't just bust in on a duel and interrupt." Mokuba told him.

"Listen carefully, Bakura is now under the control of the Millennium Rod and he will do only what I command him to do." Odion said, holding up his Millennium Rod.

"How can that be, I thought the spirit of the Millennium Ring was in control of Bakura." Yami said.

"Yes, but I now control both the spirit and Bakura. And now I shall prove it, by freeing your friend's mind." Odion told him and everyone turned to Bakura.

"Just what do you think you're doing Marik?" Bakura questioned with a glare.

"The only way for you to win this duel is to release the mind of the boy you control." Marik told him.

"Why should I?" Bakura asked him.

"Your opponent, won't destroy his friend." Marik replied with a grin.

"Fine." Bakura relented with a grumble. Everyone watched as Bakura suddenly stumbled and fell to his knees clutching his bandaged arm.

"Wh…what's going on…my arm…it hurts…wh…where am I?" he whimpered in pain.

"Bakura!" Tea and Tristan shouted as the others looked on in shock and worry.

"It is him." Yami whispered.

"He's in pain, without the spirit of the Millennium Ring he is weak. Therefore, you may wish to reconsider your attack, the power of Slifer the Sky Dragon may make your friend's condition even worse. Would you risk the health of your friend?" Odion told Yami coldly.

"Only a coward would resort to something like this to win a duel!" Yami snapped at the man with anger.

"That's a cheap trick, you cold hearted jerk!" Joey shouted at Odion as the others all shouted to Bakura who was still confused and in pain.

"Well done Odion, he'll never attack his pathetic and helpless friend now." Marik thought, watching as Odion turned and walked back to the elevator.

Though inside Odion's mind, the man was torn. "I truly regret doing this to an innocent soul. But I swore an oath to obey Master Marik, no matter what he asks of me I must obey his commands." He thought regretfully.

"Yugi help…I still don't know where I am." Bakura said softly, looking up at Yami as his vision began to blur.

"Bakura!" Yami said, taking several steps towards his friend.

"Stop right there. You are not allowed to have contact with your opponent during the match." Roland told him sternly.

"Are you insane, he's injured!" Yami snapped at the man with a cold glare.

"If you take one more step you will be disqualified and eliminated from the Battle City Finals." Roland replied.

Daisuke frowned and turned to Kaiba. "Bakura needs a doctor right now, stop the duel. Even you know that this can't continue if you want everyone to come out of it alive." She pleaded with him.

"If you don't continue to duel, you will forfeit the match and your spot in the Battle City Finals." Roland told Yami who was torn on what to do.

"Do I risk Bakura's health or the fate of the world? I have to make a choice soon." Yami thought, clenching his fists as he looked at the weakened Bakura who was still pleading for help.

"I'll make this decision really simple, finish him off." Kaiba told Yami, shocking everyone with his words.

"Enough of this." Daisuke hissed as she ran over to Bakura's side of the duel arena. "Hey, evil spirit inside the Millennium Ring listen up!" She shouted angrily. "You put Bakura into this mess, a kind and innocent person who wouldn't hurt a fly, you've used him for your evil schemes and now you're just going to let him get hurt during a duel you forced him into. Marik may say you're under his control but I don't believe that for a second, no way would an evil monster like you become someone else's puppet. So how about you man up and take responsibility!"

"Don't listen to her, we're about to win this duel. All we need now is for Yami to choose his friend's safety over winning the duel, unless of course he is willing to risk it to win the match." Marik said with a twisted smirk as Yami Bakura growled at him. "Oh, what's wrong? Don't tell me the words of that girl is getting through to you." He mockingly said.

Bakura simply ignored his words and smirked. "Bakura still holds the Millennium Ring and my spirit, I still have need of him." He said, the Millennium Ring beginning to glow brightly. "And I wouldn't be a very good future king of this world if I did not adhere to the words of my soon to be queen." He continued, laughing as he retook control of Bakura's body.

"It's you!" Yami growled at him.

"That's right, I'm back in control of Bakura's body. So, if you're going to attack with Slifer the Sky Dragon, you'd better do it now." He replied. "Well come on then!"

"Alright, it's time. Slifer the Sky Dragon attack his life-points directly!" Yami commanded the Egyptian God Card, the dragon roared and charged its attack before unleashing a bright blinding blast of lightning at Bakura.

"You may have won this round, Yami. But I'll be back soon. Soon I shall control the world's greatest power, and Daisuke will become the queen who rules by my side. Just you wait!" he cackled over the sounds of the impact Slifer's attack knocking him to the ground and the Millennium Ring flew off his body, skidding to a stop at the edge of the arena as his life-points fell to 0.

"And the winner of the match, duelist number 3, Yugi Muto." Roland shouted, raising his hand.

"Terrific, now lower the damn arena so we can get Bakura to a hospital!" Daisuke told him urgently and he nodded, the arena began to lower and everyone but Kaiba and Mokuba climbed onto the arena and ran over to Bakura.

"Bakura, are you alright?" Yami asked, kneeling beside the boy, and helping him sit up.

"Wh…where am I?" he whispered.

"With your friends, that's what matters." Daisuke told him gently.

"He doesn't look very good; I think we need to get him to a doctor." Serenity said.

"Come on let's get him to his room and get Kaiba to land this blimp." Tristan said as he kneeled down, and Daisuke and Willis helped Bakura onto Tristan's back and he carried the boy off to the elevator and the others began to follow.

"That was one crazy duel." Daisuke said, standing beside Yami. "If the evil spirit inside the Millennium Ring didn't take control again, Bakura could have been seriously hurt."

"That was one of the hardest choices I've had to make in a duel. I'm glad Bakura is okay." Yami said softly before turning to Daisuke. "Though, I think your words go through to the spirit as well."

"Ah well you know me, always doing my best to help. Even if it means shouting at evil spirits to stop being cowards." She replied with a sheepish smile. She then blinked and noticed Tea standing near the edge of the arena. "Tea, what're you still doing here?"

The girl jumped slightly before turning around to face Daisuke and Yami while holding her hands behind her back. "Oh, um just waiting for you guys is all. Wouldn't want you to be locked out up here until the next duel or something."

Daisuke and Yami shared a look before the Millennium Puzzle glowed and Yugi took back control. "Alright…let's head off to check on Bakura." He said.

"Wait, before you go." Roland said. "As the winner of the match you are entitled to take your opponent's rarest card."

"Oh, don't start that crap right now." Daisuke said while walking up to him. "In case you weren't paying attention, Bakura's been through enough already he doesn't need Yugi taking a card from his deck. You got that buster?" She asked poking him hard in the chest and the man stuttered and gulped while Daisuke looked over to Kaiba. "And don't think you're off the hook either for wanting the duel to continue despite Bakura clearly being in danger, did you really want that on your head rich boy?" she asked him before she huffed and stormed off with Yugi and Tea.

"Well, she sure told you big bro." Mokuba said to Kaiba who huffed and looked away with a frown. "Would you have let the duel continue if it were Daisuke in a similar state?"

"Of course, I would." Kaiba answered. "Doing anything less would be seen as favouritism or me going soft."

His brother sighed and walked off shaking his head and Kaiba just turned away angrily while Roland remained silent.

Soon, Bakura was in his bedroom sleeping on his bed. "He's exhausted and needs a lot of rest." Kari said.

"After the mess that happened in the duel I'd agree with ya." Willis said. "Just what was going on with that Marik guy when he showed up?"

"He clearly didn't want the spirit of the Millennium Ring to lose the duel. Maybe they were in cahoots this whole time." Joey suggested.

"With the way everything's been going recently I wouldn't doubt it." Daisuke said with a frown. "This whole tournament is filled with dangers we don't know about yet; we'll all have to be extra careful from now on when we're dealing with Marik."

"You said it." Tristan said. "Now we should let Bakura rest."

"You guys go ahead; I'll keep an eye on him." Tea said softly and her friends looked at her for a moment. "He'll want someone here in case he wakes up."

"Alright, come and get us if he wakes up." Yugi told her. Everyone got up to leave when Yugi looked back at Bakura and stopped.

"What's wrong?" Daisuke asked him.

"The Millennium Ring's gone; it was around his neck during the duel but now it's not there." He answered.

"Maybe Slifer blasted it sky high or something. That thing seems to come and go as it pleases." Tristan said.

"I say we're better off with that thing far away from us." Joey said, nodding his head quickly.

"You said it." Veemon said as everyone began leaving the room except for Tea, once the door shut behind Yugi and Daisuke, the girl looked at Bakura before her eyes glazed over and she smirked slightly.

"Fool. Now your Millennium Ring is now mine." She whispered, holding up the Millennium Ring she had taken from the duel arena when nobody was looking, the item glowing faintly with dark magics before she placed it around her neck and the Millennium Item glowed once more before vanishing into her body and her eyes regained their colour and she went on as if nothing happened.
