Urgh, I am *SO* sorry for the delay on this one. My muse was NOT cooperating in getting this done. Combined with other things and it was just a pain.

Well, that and a game I've been waiting for YEARS for an English translation finally came out, so I was playing that for a couple of days.

Chapter 73

"YAAAAH!" Green Sister yelled as she kicked a rock so hard that it went flying into the distance.

"HEY! Watch it! That could have hurt!" Beth yelled in anger, her eyes white and blank. "What kind of Goddess tries to hurt humans?"

Before Green Sister could answer, Beth let out a yelp of pain as she was hit in the back of the head by the very rock that Green Sister had kicked, knocking her flat on her face while her pinkie, index fingers and thumbs on both of her hands were extended while her middle and ring fingers were curled inwards. Green Sister just gawked in surprise. "...How the heck did THAT happen?"

Beth groaned and forced herself to her knees. "Didn't Acti say something about even the gravity of this place being weird?" She grumbled and looked up, only to see Green Sister rushing at her. "Bitch!" She spat and used her arms to push herself to her feet with a burst of strength. Opening her mouth, she let out a stream of flame that forced Green Sister to dodge the attack.

Suddenly Green Sister was in front of her and before Beth could react, Green Sister threw an arm over her left shoulder while grabbing Beth's pants and lifting up before slamming her down onto the ground hard enough to leave a small crater and knock the wind out of Beth. "Just what are you going to get out of this?" Green Sister asked as she stood up. "What are you really after?"

Beth grimaced and cracked an eye open. "There's no reason to tell you," she smirked at the angry look on Green Sister's face. "But if you really want to know..." She turned her head and whispered something, causing Green Sister to lean in.

"What did you say?"

"I said..." Beth turned to Green Sister, "FUS RO DAH!" She screamed at point-blank range, blasting Green Sister away from her, allowing her to stand up as Green Sister flipped and spun out of control, bouncing off the ground as though she was doing high speed cartwheels before coming to a stop, spinning and ending up landing on her head.

"Owwie..." Green Sister whined as her eyes swirled while she tried to stop the world from spinning anymore. Shaking her head, she put her hands on the ground and pushed herself up into the air so she could flip over and land on her feet. "That wasn't very nice."

Beth smirked at Green Sister. "It wasn't meant to be and you're a moron for leaning in when I have a screaming attack." Holding out her right arm, a large gun formed on it.

Green Sister gawked as she stared at it. The thing had a long body with a wide barrel and looked like it needed to be held with two hands, yet Beth was holding it in one hand, but what was most disturbing was the fact that it was belt-fed and the ammo looked rather large. "Um... That's not..."

"A special type of rocket," Beth grinned and pointed it at Green Sister, "one that disrupts your Divine energy. I wouldn't advise trying to tank this." She pulled the trigger and launched the rockets at Green Sister. "And just so you know, there's more than enough here for me to keep firing for awhile."

Green Sister quickly scrambled away as fast as she could, flying to avoid the rocket shells, but the explosions were so powerful that even near misses were enough to send her tumbling through the air. "GAH!" She cried out as the shock waves sent waves of pain through her body.

Seeing Green Sister slam into a tree and spin in mid-air before crashing to the ground had Beth laughing. "What's the matter? Don't you have some sort of long-range attack?" She smirked and flipped a switch on her rocket launcher before pulling the trigger and firing several rapid-fire shots and forcing the CPU Candidate to quickly scramble to her feet and fly off at high speeds as she circled around Beth at a distance. As she watched Green Sister picking up speed, Beth narrowed her eyes. "Don't even try it!" She yelled and spun around, firing at where she thought Green Sister was.

Green Sister grimaced as she managed to avoid the explosion by zipping backwards as fast as she could. "Okay, so she won't let me get close..." Her gauntlets started to glow as she flew straight up before touching down on a rock that was floating upside down and launched herself at high speeds at Beth.

"Tch, you're annoying." Beth growled and pointed up at Green Sister before yelping and jumping out of the way as Green Sister punched forward, launching energy fists down at Beth, causing an explosion that knocked Beth off of her feet and caused her to drop her rocket launcher, which bounced several feet away. The next thing Beth knew, Green Sister was pinning her to the ground and she grimaced as she looked at the upset CPU Candidate. "What?"

"What kind of Cybernetic Demon are you?" Green Sister asked and Beth laughed upon hearing that.

"That bitch Tence's teddy bear is useful for some things, including giving me access to some powerful weapons." Beth said and slowly bent her knees while sliding her feet across the ground before grunting in pain as Green Sister lifted her knee up and slammed it down into her stomach. "GUH!"

"Don't even think about it." Green Sister warned her. "Now, why the hell are you helping that bad man ruin everything?"

"Ruin everything?" Beth asked and laughed at Green Sister, who looked confused, "it was your precious Purple Heart that allowed lots of people to enter this world and strain resources to the limits and then the other nations took people in." Beth glared at Green Sister. "If anything, Purple Heart's the villain, not us. We're here to liberate everyone from the control of CPUs, to live their lives as they see fit."

"But..." Green Sister tilted her head in confusion. "Without a CPU, then the world will..."

"Be destroyed?" A male voice spoke up and the next thing Green Sister knew, she was wrapped up with wires, pinning her arms behind her back and wrapping around her breasts, making them stick out even more than they usually did, her legs were likewise wrapped up, causing them to be spread while bent at the knees and the next thing Green Sister knew, she was suspended in mid-air. Acti smirked as he walked out from behind a tree, his hands on a thick piece of cable before he snapped his fingers and he let go of the cable, which shot forward and practically wrapped around Green Sister's neck, pulling back and upwards and causing Green Sister to let out a choking sound. "Don't worry, I won't kill you that way, that's far too boring." Acti chuckled and looked at Beth as she got up. "How pathetic of you."

"Shut up." Beth growled at him before turning and grinning at Green Sister. "I'm going to enjoy this." She cracked her knuckles and punched Green Sister in the stomach. "Hey, flip her over."

Acti rolled his eyes but did as he was asked as he moved cords in his hands, causing Green Sister to flip over so her head was close to the ground while her feet were in the air. He watched with disinterest as Beth proceeded to punch and knee Green Sister over and over. "I would think you'd want to punch her face in."

"Nah, she probably has a hard head and I'd break something." Beth answered as she kicked Green Sister's large breasts, laughing as the CPU Candidate groaned in pain. She frowned when Acti put a hand on her shoulder and shook his head. "But..."

"I think it's time to tell her what our plan is." Acti said and smirked as he moved the cords so that Green Sister was suspended upright. "Go get your toy while I talk."

"Fine." Beth muttered and walked over to where her rocket launcher had fallen.

"Why?" Green Sister asked and Acti smirked at her. "Why are you against us?"

"The glorious RMCP will destroy what you hold dear, lousy CPU." Acti told her while chuckling. "We're going to remove all the CPUs. But you are right about one thing, the world would be doomed without someone in charge. Our boss, Epic, will shape both Gamindustris so that you won't be needed anymore." He sighed at the confused look she had on her face. "Okay, fine, I'm sick of being indirect anyway. I'll tell you what Epic's plan was this whole time." He smirked at her. "You see, he knew about the power of Fearicite from his talks with the refugees from Gamworld. He figured that you CPU Candidates, who were born from it, would still have the taint deep within you. When we extracted it, well, we weren't lying when we said we didn't want it to go out of control and destroy the world."

"But then alternate versions of us showed up at those places..." Green Sister pointed out and Acti nodded.

"Indeed," Acti nodded to her. "Something that wasn't in the plan originally, but it worked out. See, the Fearicite we took from you drew power from the Shares in those Gold Towers and transformed them into its own power, creating an echo of you and the other CPU Candidates from other timelines." Green Sister nodded, following along, "well, when all of your Void versions were beaten, we retrieved the Fearicite."

"But that's dangerous!" Green Sister protested and Acti nodded.

"Indeed, that's why we needed to get access to Purple Heart's Share Crystal. She's the only one who's been infused with Fearicite and came out alive and mostly unchanged." Acti said as he looked over as Beth was grabbing the rocket launcher. "Sadly, I don't think she survived having her Share Crystal ripped out of her."

"You lie!" Green Sister started to thrash and squirm. "Neptuna's not dead!" Tears filled her eyes as she glared at him. "She can't be!"

"Well, either way..." Acti continued to speak. "We happened to come across the Neptune who happened to have a way to travel dimensions when she was by herself. It was rather fortunate on our part, but she was alone and our boss quickly defeated her and took her notebook. Never thought that there was a tome sealed inside of it."

"Are you done yet?" Beth asked as she walked back over and Acti nodded.

"Almost," Acti told her and stepped away from Green Sister. "You see, when we freed Croire, she seemed to instantly know of our plans and even told us about Celestia and told us how we could use this realm to reshape both Gamindustris. But without the power of a CPU, it's not possible. She even mentioned that it could be possible to have a male CPU, she had seen some in other dimensions."

"...A male CPU?" Green Sister sweat-dropped heavily. "...If Green Void knew about male CPUs, she would have wanted to breed them." She then thought about it and sweat-dropped. "Or breed them with her own body."

Acti chuckled and nodded. "Probably. But you see, to reshape the world, we first need the power of a CPU and then... Well, we need to eliminate all the other CPUs, leaving Epic the only Divine being in charge of both worlds." Green Sister had a confused look on her face and he sighed. "You see, if Epic tried to reshape the world while there are other CPUs still alive, the world would reject him and bitterly cling to the past instead of embracing the future. But if the CPUs across all the nations are removed from the equation, then the world has no choice but to follow Epic and do what he tells them to do."

"That's what dictators do!" Green Sister protested.

Acti shrugged at her. "Well, so long as you don't go against him, he'd be a benevolent dictator, I suppose." Acti tilted his head from side to side, getting a loud pop from his neck in the process. "Well, that's everything. Epic needs to eliminate you CPUs so he's the only one left. That's all there is to it."

Green Sister growled and increased her struggling, causing Acti to grunt in exertion. "I won't let you get away with this."

"You don't have a choice." Beth said as she pointed her rocket launcher at Green Sister. "You're going to die, right here and disappear to the sands of time."

Acti smirked and stepped a bit away from Green Sister. "Hurry up, she's pretty strong."

Beth smirked as she put her finger on the trigger. "I've been looking forward to doing this for awhile." The look of fear and desperation on Green Sister's face was delicious. "Goodbye." She said as her finger slowly pulled on the trigger, savoring every moment possible.

Meanwhile...

The pink fat dogoo had some bubbles travel through its body as it stood where it had covered DS Black.

(-)

Elsewhere...

Croire covered her face as winds picked up while Epic slammed the Lowee twins into Chrome Heart and batted DS Purple away from him. "Sheesh, you need to finish them off!"

An invisible pulse sent Epic stumbling over close to where she and Neptune's prone body were at. "YOU WILL DIE!" Epic screamed as the air itself seemed to crackle with power while five holes appeared around him. "Thirty-two bit tentacle blade!"

Chrome Heart's pupils shrank as several long, twisted and evil-looking blades shot out at her, DS Pink, DS Blue and DS Purple. The four quickly dodged the attacks, though the CPU Candidates had to avoid a follow-up flame blast from Epic's dragon mouth. "You... You force her to come to you! You hurt her..." Chrome Heart whispered with her hair over her eyes. "AND NOW YOU BASTARDIZE HER ATTACKS?!" Chrome Heart suddenly lifted her head, tears falling from her eyes. "HOW DARE YOU?!" She screamed and rushed in with her mace crackling with power at Epic, who let out a screech as a black ring formed behind him as his various wings suddenly glowed and sent out light blades at Chrome Heart, who twisted, bent and spun to avoid them. "DIE!"

As soon as she got close, his tentacle arm struck out and wrapped around her body, pinning her arms above her head while holding her straight up and down. "You do have an impressive body..." Epic said as his eyes glowed while looking Chrome Heart over. "Too bad I have no Earthly desires anymore. If anything, I should eat you."

"NO!" DS Purple yelled as she prepared to charge at Epic, but found herself stopping as several blades formed around Chrome Heart, pointed at her. "You..."

"That's right." Epic grinned, well, they thought he was grinning, it was hard to tell with how mutated his mouth was. "You'll do nothing. Or do you want to be the reason she dies?"

The CPU Candidates looked troubled as Epic laughed at them.

"You need to stop him." Chrome Heart told them. "No matter the cost, stop him, even if it kills me." Tears were in her eyes as she told them that, even though she was looking at Epic. "...I have nothing to live for anyway." She whispered to herself.

Memories of Neptune and the joy she felt as she spent time with the other CPU filled her mind. "DO IT! NOW! Sometimes the job of a CPU is a cruel one!"

"Then I'll make it easy for you." Epic said, his voice full of disgust. "If you want to die that badly, I'll kill you right now!"

"NO!" The three CPU Candidates cried out as they tried to stop Epic's point-blank attack while he laughed at them.

To be continued...

That took me WAAAY too long to write. I'm so sorry for the delay. We are almost done with the story though.
