Chapter 131: Freedom
"What took you so long?" Selina asked as Bruce came into her line of vision, to say she was happy to see him, was an understatement.
"Sorry, we had to deal with the resistance." Bruce replied gruffly working on the lock.
"I know, I saw." Selina said, she'd watched on live television as Stargirl had confessed to her crimes.
"You did?" Bruce asked, momentarily stopping to look at her.
"Yes, I wanted to know what was taking you so long." Selina replied.
Bruce sighed. "I'm sorry." The lock clicked and Bruce threw it to the floor, before opening the gate.
Selina stepped out and hugged him, inhaling the smell of oak and fire that Bruce always smelled of, she then pulled back and said. "It's fine, there's one less thing for you to worry about now."
Bruce grunted and then looked around. "Where did Ivy and Thawne go?"
"Some new location. I couldn't hear where, but I don't think they'll be far." Selina replied.
"Why do you say so?" Bruce asked.
Selina smiled. "Because Thawne's an idiot who thinks he's smarter than you."
Bruce laughed. "Well it's nice to know you're so confident in me."
Selina kissed him then, and then pulled back. "How could I not be?"
