Percy POV
Percy couldn't leave the classroom quick enough. Maths was boring enough on its own, but his ADHD didn't help one bit. The lesson had been utterly dull. He soon cheered up though, looking at his and Annabeth's timetables and seeing they both had Ancient History. Hopefully they would be doing Ancient Greece! Or maybe Rome? Nevertheless, Percy grabbed Annabeth's hand and they walked together with grins on their faces to Room 216.
Tom, who had been in maths with them, called out to them from behind. "Hey, wait up guys!"
Percy and Annabeth came to a halt. Tom jogged up, and smiled at her, his grin faltering when he looked at Percy. He still didn't understand what he had done to make Tom dislike him. It was very annoying. Tom had German next but he walked with them until he reached his classroom. "By Annabeth! See you at lunch!"
Annabeth waved him off with a smile, before seeing Percy's frown. "What's up?"
"He doesn't like me." Percy said with a huff. "And I don't know why."
"I'm sure it's fine, Seaweed Brain. He's just not used to not being my closest friend." Percy's eyes narrowed. "Oh calm down, Kelp Head. He doesn't know that Thalia, Piper, Leo, Jason, Hazel, Frank and especially you are higher ranked than him."
"Oh, so there's a friend ranking is there?" Percy nudged her shoulder playfully. "Can I see? I better be at the top of the list Wise Girl."
Annabeth laughed. "Shut up Perce. Now let's not be late for History!"

Tom POV
I needed to get some info on Percy. Something was off about him. Something.. fishy. (Im sorry i couldnt resist aha)
He sat in his seat in German waiting for the teacher to arrive. She never did. Instead, a teenage boy came running into the classroom, out of breath. He cleared his throat, easing the chatter of the room. "Ahem. Message from the office - your teacher is away today unexpectedly, and there is no one else who can teach German. Because this is last minute there is also no work. This means you have a free period. Please quietly do your homework until we get a teacher who can supervise you in this period. Thank you."
The students whispered excitedly, delighted at the prospect of a whole free period. Tom saw this as an opportunity. He silently slinked out of the classroom and briskly walked along the corridors. Watch your back, Percy Jackson. I'm coming for you.
Olive POV
I was watching Jasmine act out a scene where she was a piece of bread and another student, Alex, was trying to put her in the toaster, when she needed to go to the bathroom. Raising her hand, the teacher paused the scene so she could ask. On her way to the bathrooms, she spotted someone walking speedily along the halls. Taking a closer look, Olive realised it was Tom.
What is he doing? She thought. The boys bathrooms were in the opposite direction. She decided to follow him.
Soon they reached the library, where Tom slipped inside and sat down at one of the computers. Olive watched from behind the bookshelves, catching glimpses of the laptop. She was confused. What was he doing? And why in the middle of class? She inched foward, looking at the screen.
It was a news article from around three years ago, and she could make out the headline and subtitle.
NATION-WIDE MANHUNT FOR THREE TEENSWhy was Tom searching for this? He seemed to find something interesting however, as he gasped slightly and hit a button on the keyboard. Olive ducked out of the way as he walked across the library to the printer. Something was up.
Annabeth POV
Our history teacher was discussing the tombs of the Ancient Egyptian pharaohs (ha you thought it was gonna be greek mythology didnt you) when something out the window caught her eye. A shadow, too large to possibly be human. Monster. She nudged Percy urgently and mouthed MONSTER at him. He got the message and began to sway.
"Sir? Ugh... I don't feel so good. Can I go to sick bay?" Percy asked, surprisingly convincingly. The teacher looked at him and paled.
"Of course. Percy, is it? Take someone to go with you." Percy turned to Annabeth and slung an arm around her shoulder to 'support' himself. And with that they hobbled out of the classroom. Once out of earshot, they high fived.
"Nice acting, Seaweed Brain! Sure you don't want to take drama?" Percy rolled his eyes.
"C'mon Annie! Monster, you said?"
They raced across the hall and down the stairs, into the sunshine.
Tom POV
Aha! This article mentioned a twelve year old named Percy Jackson being part of a national manhunt! Surely Annabeth didn't know about this - she was smart enough not to date a criminal! Sure, he had been found innocent, but still. Tom had proof that he wasn't as perfect as he seemed. Walking to the printer, he grabbed the paper and headed out of the library.
He was so caught up in his discovery that he didn't look out the window. He completely missed the blonde haired girl and raven haired boy using what looked like swords to stab some sort of huge monster with one eye.
But Olive didn't.
And as he left the library she stood there in disbelief, watching the two figures head back inside.
