Grover POV (you weren't expecting that now were you?)
Being Lord of the Wild is hard. Grover was tired, exhausted, and most importantly, was in desperate need of an enchilada. It was great, don't get me wrong, but sometimes he missed his old life as a searcher. Finding demigods, rescuing them, bringing them to a new home. He missed all his friends - Annabeth, Percy, Thalia. He would even settle for Tyson.
"Grover! GROVER!" The satyr was snapped out of his thoughts by the voice of Chiron emulating (wow look at them englesh skills rowe would be proud) from the spring next to him. Grover stood upright and approached the IM.
"Sorry Chiron! Hey, how you doin'?" He waved. The centaur smiled back at him.
"Hello Grover my boy. Caught up in your own thinking?" Chiron asked, concern showing in his eyes. Grover sighed.
"Just tired, that's all. What do you need?"
"I need you to go to Golden Gate High School in San Fransisco." Grover paled.
"San Fransisco? But-"
"I understand your concerns, my boy, but Percy and Annabeth will be there. You'll be fine. There is a demigod's scent there, a student other than, uh what do they call them? Percybath?"
"Percabeth, Chiron."
"Thank you. I will never understand the ways of the Aphrodite cabin. Anyhow, I need you to make the trip there. We can get Nico to shadow-travel you-" Grover gulped. "and hopefully you can find the young demigod. You leave tomorrow, if that's alright with you?"
Grover took all this information in, and then nodded. "Yes, sir. I'll do my best."
Chiron smiled. "I'm glad. I have a lot of faith in you, Lord of the Wild." Grover blushed as Chiron swept his hand through the mist. He still wasn't used to his title, despite having had it for around a year and a half now. Seems like he was headed off to San Fransisco...
Percy POV
Percy lay down on his bed, thinking over the events of the day. He had spent the afternoon with Annabeth walking the streets of San Francisco. It was nice to have a chance to be a normal teenage couple for once; Their relationship was mostly spent fighting monsters or saving the world from dirt sludge with a face.
Percy was currently staying in a hotel organised by the gods. He had hoped to perhaps move into the Chase's spare room, but Annabeth was still working to convince both her dad and Helen. Despite that, Percy felt happier and more at peace than he had ever been. He was no longer that scrawny 12 year old boy, defenseless against Nancy Bobofit's peanut butter sandwiches. He was taller, more muscular. But he hadn't just changed on the outside. He'd seen things he would never be able to forget. People he'd never forget. But these experiences made him stronger as a person, and he knew all of them were heroes.
Percy turned around and looked out through the window at the stars.
"Bob says hello." he whispered, before entering a dreamless sleep for the first time in a long while.
*LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE BREAK*
Percy groaned. Why school? School sucked. Then he remembered Annabeth would be there, and quickly cheered up. Grabbing a piece of toast, he swiftly changed and rushed out the door. His hotel was in walking distance from the school, luckily. He guessed Athena didn't want that piece of 'sea scum' driving a car.
Arriving at school, Percy quickly spotted Annabeth, who, of course, had already been there for half an hour and was heading to the library. He ran up to her from behind and hugged her, but overdid the force and accidentally tackled her to the ground. She chuckled and shook her head.
"Seaweed Brain."
"Wise Girl."
"Kelp Head."
"Owl Face."
"Aquaman."
"Annie."
With that Annabeth whipped her knife out of her pocket and held it at Percy's throat. He just chuckled, melting her anger, and he leaned in to give her a kiss.
"Sorry, Annie." Annabeth glared
"-beth! I said Annabeth!"
"What a kelp head." muttered Annabeth.
"Yeah, but I'm your kelp head." Percy grinned. She blushed.
"Did I say that out loud?"
Percy nodded and kissed her, until they were broken apart by a voice.
"If you guys are done here, can I get a hug?" Percy froze. I couldn't be. Surely it wasn't?
"G-MAN!" Percy yelled and ran towards him, crushing him in a bro hug. Grover chuckled.
"Hey Perce. Good to see you." He waved at Annabeth. "Hey Annabeth! Still with this one I see?"
She grinned. "You know the Aphrodite cabin would have my head if we ever broke up!"
Percy pouted, but then turned back to Grover. "So, G-Man, why are you here?"
"Chiron sent me - apparently you two aren't the only demigods at this school. There's one more."
Annabeth looked at him in disbelief. "Really? How did I not know? Any idea who it is?"
Grover shook his head. "Nope, it seems their the child of a minor god. Still, they're in danger, so we need to identify them and bring them back to camp."
"Will do, Grover. Percy, are you listening?" Annabeth looked over at Percy who had been shaping the water into pictures describing Grover's words. "Percy! Anyone could see you, Seaweed Brain!"
Percy pouted. "I was listening! We'll find the demigod, Grover. You coming to school with us?"
"Yep. Let's get this over with. San Fransisco gives me the heeby-jeebies."
Annabeth and Percy chuckled before leading Grover to the office where they could use the mist to enroll him in the school. Percy smiled. Maybe this week wouldn't be so bad after all.
There you go! I will write another chapter quickly and hopefully get it out either tomorrow or maybe even today ;)
thank you so much, all of you, for reading, you mean the world to me!
Hope you enjoyed this chapter, I'm seeing lots of people speculating who the demigod is in the comments! Feel free to leave your guess down below :)
Have a great day, and as always,
May the odds be ever in your favour

P.S. That reminds me! I'm drafting a Hunger Games story! I'm not sure when I'll publish it (if i will at all), but let me know if you would be interested in reading :) its about the district 3 boy who planted the mines around the Careers' camp in the 74th HG. I always felt like he was a very unknown character, so I'm writing his backstory with what little information I've found! :))))))))))
