Annabeth POV
Annabeth sprinted to her locker, fumbling with the lock, and wrenched it open. She grabbed her hat and ran down the hallway, slamming the door of her locker behind her. Hydras, even baby ones, were not a monster you wanted to mess with alone, so she needed to help Percy as soon as possible.
She was so focused on getting to the east courtyard and creating a plan of attack in her brilliant mind she didn't see the dark haired boy duck behind a bin. She shoved her hat on her head, turning invisible, and readied her dragon bone sword as she approached the monster.
*i cannot write fight scenes so we skippin sorry kids*
Percy and Annabeth hugged each other quickly, before breaking away. Annabeth chuckled. "I think we both need a shower." She said, taking in Percy's appearance. Percy looked at Annabeth, who was covered in yellow dust which stuck to her beacuse of the sweat, and agreed. Then he got an idea.
"A shower, you say?" He asked playfully, wiggling his eyebrows. Annabeth seemed confused before horror flashed on her features.
"Percy... Percy, no! N-"
SPLASH!
The bubbler nearby had spurted water and now the couple were thoroughly soaked.
"PERSEUS JACKSON! GET BACK HERE OR ZEUS HELP ME I WILL-"
SPLASH!
Annabeth swiped the water out of her eyes and brushed the wet hair off her face to find her idiot boyfriend laughing.
"You're cute when you're mad." He said, and flashed her a dazzling smile, making her anger melt away. She knew he was only playing anyway. She grinned and leaned in.
"You're always cute." She replied, making him blush. Right before their lips touched, she judo-flipped him. His face reflected the shock he felt. "Dry me first, Percy." She said with a serious tone but sickly sweet smile. Percy groaned.
"Fiiiiiiiiiiine." He grabbed her hand and suddenly Annabeth's hair, skin and clothes were all dry. "Do I get a thank you?"
"Of course." She gave him a kiss and pulled him up. "That was fun, but seriously Percy, be careful. Someone could've seen us."
He rolled his eyes. "Annie-" She gave him a death glare, which he ignored, "Don't worry. No one saw us- ohhhhhhh ZEUS. Uhm, Annie, I love you, you're amazing, you're talented and smart and great and I will always love you-"
"What are you going on about?" Annabeth asked, confused but still smiling at his antics. The smile faded when she saw the expression on his face, his eyes locked with something behind her. She whipped around and gasped.
"TOM?!"
Tom FIRST PERSON POV
This is not happening. I'm insane. I must be insane. What- how- why- when- who- how- hol' up-
A thousand questions were racing through my mind at a million miles a minute. I mentally shook my head, trying to make sense of what I just saw. I decided to retrace my steps.
I left the classroom. Ok, everything was normal there, apart from something about a baby hyrda and a cap.
I followed Annabeth to her locker. That's right - then she grabbed her Yankees hat she always carries with her.
She sprinted down the hallway and put the cap on- AND DISAPPEARED! I replayed the memory. Surely it was magic. But magic didn't exist, right? My memories must be tampered with. Maybe I'm dying and this is all a hallucination caused by extreme pain?
She and Percy fought this weird little snake dragon thing with multiple heads- Well that explains the hydra comment. BUT HYDRAS AREN'T REAL THOMAS
...or are they? After all I saw one today - what if- NO. They can't be! Keep looking through memories, Tom.
Percy dumped water on Annabeth's head... using THE AIR!
ITS OFFICIAL IM INSANE I MUST BE INSA-
"TOM!" Annabeth's yelling brought me back to reality. "I know you're confused but you have to listen to me, okay? We're gonna explain everything."
For a moment I was filled with giddy excitement. Annabeth was holding my hands! (A/N ugh get over yourself tom) Then I remembered what I had just seen. Unable to do anything else, I stared into Annabeth's (gorgeous, may I add) eyes and nodded. She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Okay. Tom, have you heard of the Greek Gods?"
