"You're kidding." Jasper said,

"No. I know, it sounds strange, but...we're going to be a part of their coven."

A small shudder ran through his body.

"Oh, no, Jasper. Not at all like that. We're going to be a family."

"A family?" He asked.

"Yes. It seems like two of them...called Carlisle and Esme...are sort of the leaders. The parents, if you will."

"Wow. You really are serious."

"And the other three - Rosalie, Emmett, and Edward - are sort of like siblings." I shook my head. "Wait, no, I take that back. Rosalie and Emmett are together."

"Do they have powers as well?"

I concentrated again, furrowing my brows and searching for anything out of the ordinary about any of my future family members. Edward, the only one without a mate, seemed strange...he seemed to have an exceptional understanding of those around him. He knew what his siblings would do and what they were thinking.

"It's hard to tell, but I think Edward does. He...understands everyone. He knows how they think, somehow, and what they're going to do. Maybe he has a power like mine."

"Hm…" Jasper tapped his chin and thought for a moment, contemplating how he felt about this new family lifestyle.

"I'm sorry, I know that's a lot to take in."

"When?" He reluctantly questioned.

"In...six days."

His eyes widened. "That soon?"

"Yes…" I said, still concentrating. "They currently live in Cincinnati. It seems like they move around a lot, but they won't move again for another month or two. And they won't be expecting us."

Jasper sighed. "Wow. That is...a lot."

"I know."

We didn't say anything for a while as I searched his expression for a sign of excitement, but his face remained calm and calculating.

Finally, he said, "I guess we're going to Cincinnati."

My face lit up instantly and I was jumping up to give him a hug before I knew it. I wrapped my arms around him tightly for the millionth time happily, and he started smiling as well.

"Everything's going to get so much better, Jazz." I said.

"Jazz?"

"Sorry, just a random nickname."

He chuckled. "No, I like it. Jazz."

"Jazz Cullen." I corrected.

He looked confused for a moment, then seemed to realize that I was always going to leave him wondering. "Jazz Cullen." Jazz agreed.

I know this chapter is very short, but I'm planning to post another in a couple of hours, so don't worry. I've been writing nonstop lately, so I'm already a couple of chapters ahead. This part of the story is both especially exciting to write and especially difficult - I want to make sure that I express all of the characters' emotions and opinions correctly, and it's very difficult to switch to so many different peoples' perspectives.
