Irina's POV
Seeing Eleazar and Carmen Dencing together, Irina signed again.
It took 600 years since their mother died after creating an immortal child for her sisters and her to stop grieving.
At the beginning, all of them were devastated, they each wanted to forget their mother's inability to be satisfied with them as children, and instead risked death to gain a little child, a forbidden child.
And when vampires want to forget they go all the way.
Getting drunk isn't possible for a vampire? Wrong, you just didn't drink the blood of a person with alcohol poisoning.
Getting satisfied from laying with mortal man impossible? You never had them sucked dry while inside of you while your venom coursing inside their body causes them to thrush around.
For six hundred years her sisters and her managed to create ways around many limitations of vampires as a way to forget their sadness, until one day they had enough.
Well Irina had enough.
While her sisters enjoyed creating new legends like the succubus, she still had a dream from her life as human to find a man to love forever, and to do so she felt she needs to find her humanity, and so, two hundred years ago, Irina became the first vegetarian vampire.
By the time she managed to keep herself from drinking humans, two years had passed and her sisters joined her.
The next two hundred years were interesting, something every vampire enjoy as boredom is the death of immortal.
They started living in one place for years, eventually moving to Alaska permanently when they had the chance.
They met a man named Carlisle Cullen, who started living the same their life style without knowing them less then a century after they started it.
Yet, the biggest change was Eleazar and Carmen joining them 30 years ago.
Almost doubling their coven number, plus adding a male member, was a big change for the 800 years old sisters.
But Eleazar and Carmen were everything they could have wished for in coven members, and she couldn't have been happier.
If only she had a mate of her own.
Sighing and about to call Kate to come to hunt with her, she suddenly hears a sound she is dearly familiar with yet different then any she recognize.
It is the sound of a running vampire, an unknown vampire.
Now, it isn't hard for a vampire to find their house, but even with their eyesight, unless they know what they are looking for it shouldn't happen, which means he has been searching for them.
"Eleazar! Carmen!" She yelled when she saw they kept dancing, not noticing the sound.
"Yes Irina?" Carmen asked blissfully.
"A vampire is running toward our house."
That instantly pulled them out of their space, turning to look toward the same location she looked at to see the vampire.
Tanya and Kate probably heard Irina's shout, as they came out of the house and Tanya yelled in current era's main t language- English.
"Don't come any closer! Who ever comes near our house will be attacked!"
The confident, the authority, all of those were the reason why they had Tanya as the coven leader.
The vampire stopped running immediately, only to shout in return with the same language.
"Hello there, didn't mean to scare you! I just heard rumors of animal's blood drinkers except me and came to see if it's true!"
She felt a little bit insulted about him thinking he scared them, but knowing he was a vegetarian vampire like them made her intrigued by him.
With one look at Tanya, who seemed to be in thought, she did something impulsive for the first time since 200 years ago.
"Come on in!" She called, with Tanya hissing at her and the vampire seemed to listen as he once more ran toward them, and let them have the first look at him.
He was tall, with long black hair, and skin color that made her unsure where he came from as a human, only knowing it was a place different then her.
But his eyes were what that draw her in, they were filled with carefreeness yet almost completely black.
When a vampire's eye color darken it means they are getting hungrier, to reach a state of complete blackness means they are starving.
How can this man keep his cool with the thirst for blood that strong in him?
Apparently the other coven members noticed it as well, as they all got more defensive and Eleazar was the one to point that out.
"Are you fine? When was the last time you drank blood?"
"Oh?" The man raised his eyebrow "Are my eyes that black?"
The nonchalant way he said it made it even weirder, and the entire coven answered together "Yes".
Hearing that he reached his bag on his back and took out a bottle full of blood, took a small sip, which lightened his eyes enough for her to notice yellow and closed it, before returning it back to the bag.
Seeing the man do something that was thought to be impossible - drinking blood from a bottle and only a sip, Kate was the first to break the silence.
"Hey, I'm Katarina, but please call me Kate. What's your name? How do you keep your sanity with black eyes? And how did you manage to only take a sip from the blood? Can you teach me? Please?" She finished it with puppy eyes.
"Hello Kate, to answer your questions, my name is Sam, with practice, and with even more practice and I don't know." He smiled sheepishly.
"Why not?!" Her sister whined.
"Because it takes time and I don't know how long would I be here for."
Her sister looked downcast for a second before smiling brightly as if she had an amazing idea, but before she could open her mouth Tanya already opened hers.
"Well, let's first get to know each other, it is not every day that we meet someone with the same philosophy as ours."
"Indeed." He said smiling. "Well, as I came unannounced, I shall begin." He then began telling his story, one that started with waking in the forest alone, continued with working on controlling his instinct, and finished with working on his ability, before searching for like minded people to spend immortality with.
He didn't tell them his methods of control, nor his ability, which made sense as they only met, but from the look in Tanya's eyes of soft feelings, Irina could tell he wasn't lying to them, as Tanya, even without powers, could always tell when someone lies.
While not knowing what soft emotions Tanya felt for the man, Irina could tell she, and the rest of the coven, also felt some, learning control on your own? And to such level? While he didn't say it out loud, he must have worked on it nonstop for more then a hundred years.
"Well," he asked after finishing "what is your stories?"
And they told him, the sisters had Tanya tell a version of theirs, and Eleazar and Carmen told theirs.
In the end, it took a day and a half for all the stories to finish, and when Eleazar finished, Sam looked intrigued.
"You can tell a person's special gift by touching them?" At a nod from him, Sam said "do me!" And pulled his hand forward.
Eleazar touched Sam's hand and looked surprised.
"You seem to have a gift called imprinter, which seemed to have the ability to unite true love."
Irina froze
