Light stared at the young woman reflected back at her in the mirror. The short sleeved, collared school shirt, which she was wearing, had seen much better days. There were rips and tares all over it, the top two buttons were long gone and the stitching on the right sleeve was starting to come loose. The blue and hot-pink sweater that she'd gotten from Toriel was tied around her waist, the bottom hem looking slightly frayed. The skirt had a hole in the bottom edge, just above her left knee, and there were several scorch marks all over it.

She turned her eyes form her clothes to her body. She'd lost a little weight since she'd fallen, she was slightly thinner then she was before. Her hair was a tangled mess, her eyes, honey gold with a slight reddish tint, were slightly red from a lack of sleep. Every piece of exposed skin was covered in cuts and bruises, small patches of dried blood covering the slightly sun kissed skin. Lying just beneath all of that, were light scars, criss-crossing her skin in a map of her trials and encounters. Each one, a memory of a time she could have chosen the path of death, but turned to the path of life. Each one, a wound that had been healed by the magic based food the monsters sold or gave to her. Each one, a badge of honour… a mark of pride… a symbol of how far she had come.

Her eyes darted to the face of her traveling companion, as she beamed, pride radiating off of her like a furnace. Ruby red eyes shone like stars as she watched Light take in her appearance.

"Despite everything… It's still you." Chara said softly.
