Reviews:
BabaLooWho: yeah... I agree. Thanks for reviewing!
ilikekotlc: I agree wholeheartedly. I thought telepathy was supposed to be rare? And I'm really liking the idea of her being a phaser, too... Because this can't be Keeper of the Lost Cities if she's not totally overpowered XD. Thanks for reviewing!
Lunatix3: oh, my gosh. I have! Unlocked killed me. I mean, why?! Why, Keefe?! The cliffhanger... I died. Really. It was awful. Thanks for reviewing!
SarcasticForever: yeah, I really like phaser... And shade, huh? Shade is one of my favorites, too, because shadowflux. That's powerful. It also sucks, because of what happened to Keefe in Legacy... but... yeah. Anyway, thanks for reviewing!
KOTLCgirlSoKeefe forever: cool! I'll add your vote in.
Recap: well, I met Edaline... and then went to sleep—after drawing a little bit more, of course.

ONTO THE NEXT CHAPTER!
It didn't take long for Jamie to wear her new uniform. It wasn't as bad as Sophie made it seem in the books; sure, Jamie looked and felt like a dork, but it was comfortable. She was surprised by this. She always thought uniforms were some monstrosity that shouldn't exist.
Still, it looked really dorky. Like, really really dorky. Even dorkier than how Elwin looked, but without Elwin's all-around awesomeness. She wondered how the Glamour Queen Biana felt about them; did she hate them, too? Or was she fine with them? Because Biana she could pull off a garbage bag (side note: did elves even have garbage bags?), and she knew it. Jamie meant that in the best way possible.
Then, she wondered why she was thinking about Biana, because it was sort of weird to think about someone you only met once?
Anyhow, Dex clearly didn't like the uniforms. He complained about them. A lot. And although it didn't look bad, per se, the cape he was forced to wear looked... lame. Dorky, even. Even dorkier than Jamie looked. That was actually sad.
But what was really sad was that Jamie thought that they were lost.
They had taken the Leapmaster 500, which worked basically like floo powder, but without acting like a wannabe Santa Claus. Dex had shouted, "Foxfire!" Obviously, there was a lot of room for error. If Harry Potter accidentally said something that sounded like Knockturn Alley when he meant to say "Diagon Alley" (they sounded nothing like each other, by the way—but apparently, the power of coughs and soot was just that powerful), Dex could accidentally say something like... "Noxfire." Or Foxfire City. It made sense, especially when she saw the supposed school that really wasn't a school because Dex made a mistake.
A five story glass pyramid towered over everything from its place in the center of a wide stone courtyard. The main building wrapped around the pyramid in a sharply angled U and was made entirely of stained glass. Six towers—each a different color—separated the wings, and a seventh tower—another Leapmaster—stood in the center, taller than the others. To the left sat a domed amphitheater and two smaller buildings, all built from the same glowing stones as the castle Fitz had shown her and Sophie in Lumenaria. To the right, two giant towers, one gold, one silver, twisted around one another. Combined with extensive fields of purple grass, it was no surprise that Jamie thought this was a small city.
Dex led them into the bottom floor of the glass pyramid, which was packed with students—sorry, prodigies (Ugh, what a pretentious word)—in uniforms the same color as the building's six towers. Sophie ducked behind Dex, but Jamie was a little braver; she hid behind Sophie. Also, smarter, because Sophie was taller than Dex.
"What are we doing here?" Sophie whispered to Dex.
"Every morning starts with orientation. It's no big deal. Dame Alina—our principal—just reads off any announcements while they take attendance?"
"How can they take attendance with this many people?"
He pulled his registry pendant out from under his collar. "They track us with these."
As thousands of bells chimed in a pretty, intricate peal, and everyone faced the far wall (which now showed a close -up of the caramel haired, porcelain skinned Dame Alina), a sudden thought struck Jamie. "Uh," she started, almost nervously. "Two new students isn't nearly important enough for an announcement, right?"
Dex gave her a pitying look.
Dame Alina smoothed her hair and pursed her lips before saying, "Good morning, prodigies. First and foremost, whoever put reekrod in my desk over the weekend will—It's not funny!" she snapped as everyone—Jamie included—cracked up. "Mark my words—whoever it was will be punished to the fullest extent of my abilities."
She let the threat dangle—because she's just that edgy (insert eye roll here)—before continuing, "Last week, we had fourteen prodigies detect special abilities—a new record." She clapped for the fourteen prodigies—or for herself, just for being their principal; how can anyone ever know?—and everyone joined her. "And—last but not least—where are they?... Ah, there!"
A spotlight focused on her and Sophie.
"Everyone, please welcome Sophie Foster and Jamie Blair—Level Two prodigies, who are both starting their first day at Foxfire."
Every eye had turned to look at them, and although Jamie had prepared herself for this... hearing her last name had really thrown her off. It was pathetic, but that one word never failed to shake her.
Dame Alina cleared her throat. "Is that how we welcome someone?"
A second of silence passed before everyone slowly clapped. Jamie was vaguely aware of Sophie glancing around—probably for a hole to crawl in.
"That's better," Dame Alina said. "That concludes today's announcements. Have a nice day!"
Dame Alina blinked off the screen.
All eyes turned back to them.
Whispers started up again.
"Get me out of here." Sophie begged Dex.
He laughed and led them out of the nearest exit, even though—and Jamie never imagined she would say this—it was no laughing matter.
"I can't believe that just happened," Sophie whispered.
"It's not a big deal."
"She had to force them to clap, Dex." She buried her face in her hands.
"Everyone was just surprised. We've never had a prodigy start in the middle of the year, forget two."
"Wonderful." Jamie grimaced. "I just love being the exception."
Dex laughed at her, and Jamie was tempted to tell him that some people shipped him and Fitz together for revenge. Yeah, that would definitely get a rise out of him.
Questions:
1. Favorite quote from chapter twenty-five of When Wishes Come True?
2. It's January 31st. Valentine's Day is in 14 days. When Wishes Come True is a romance.
I think you know where this is going.
On Valentine's Day, I'm planning to write a one-shot of sorts with whichever ship is the most popular. So, let me know any ideas you may have? Anything is fine—even a song you like that can be used as inspiration. Obviously, I'll give credit to whoever gives me whatever idea I use...
So, yeah; that's the question.
Please vote on the poll—or, you know, just review your answer...
