"What are you doing for Christmas?" Natsu asked Lucy as the two were sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch. She blinked at the sudden question, taken back by the sudden question.
"That's a good question." She answered truthfully. "I think I'm going to go see my mom on Christmas day in the afternoon and then spend the night with her, but other than that I have no idea. Why?" Natsu shrugged.
"I was just wondering s'all. Mom is having Gray and I come over for Christmas Eve since her and her new husband are going to his family's house for Christmas day. I was just kinda wondering if you would come with me?" A slow smile spread on Lucy's lips.
"Natsu, I would love to come and meet your family." Natsu grinned at that.
"That's good, because Happy has been dying to meet you." Lucy laughed.
"Have you been telling him things about me?" She teased.
"He could write a book about you he knows so much." He teased back. Lucy blushed a little.
She had been doing that a lot more lately.
Blushing.
Ever since the night they kissed, things between them became flirtier.
More teasing.
Less fighting.
That had been five days ago.
Not that he was counting or anything.
They hadn't kissed again yet, but Natsu knew he was breaking down her wall. She was opening up to him so much.
"You're such a gossip queen!" Lucy yelled at him playfully.
"Only about you." He winked at her.
"If I'm going to be meeting your family, does that mean you'll come meet my mom?" Natsu raised his brows, honestly shocked at her question.
"You really want me to meet your mom?" Lucy stared at him baffled.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"I don't know, I guess. I just thought you wouldn't want me meeting your mom since were not dating." Natsu was a little sad saying that. He tried to talk her into officially becoming his girlfriend after their kiss, but to no avail.
Lucy was stubborn.
Damn her stubbornness.
If he could, he'd punch it in the face.
Multiple times.
"You're still my best friend. Besides, she's been wanting to meet you for months." Natsu perked up at that.
"Really? You've told her about me?" Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, that you're really annoying and we fight a lot."
"But that we're best friends, right?" He wiggled his brows and Lucy giggled.
"I may have mentioned it." Natsu grinned.
"I knew you secretly cared."
"Don't get used to it." Lucy stuck her tongue out at him. Natsu's grinned stayed.
He knew she cared.
She never said she did.
Instead she showed it. Every little thing she did showed just how much she cared.
"Too late." Lucy rolled her eyes at him. She did that so often he was surprised they didn't stay that way.
"You two are disgusting." Gray voiced. Natsu blinked slowly at his best friend.
He had totally forgotten Gray was sitting with them.
"Why are we disgusting Gray?" Lucy asked. Natsu suppressed a grin.
Lucy loved to give Gray shit. She challenged him differently than she did Natsu. It was never about getting the upper hand, it was just to compete.
She was really competitive.
"Because you guys act like every sappy romance movie." Natsu laughed.
He had been thinking the same thing.
"What's so wrong with that?" Natsu quested his oldest friend, his grin remaining intact. Gray rolled his eyes.
Honestly, if the two didn't stop rolling their eyes, Natsu was going to have to start questioning everything his mom had ever told him.
Only if their eyes didn't stay that way, that is.
"It's just annoying, that's all." Lucy snorted.
"Just because I now have one hundred percent of Natsu's attention and not you, Gray, doesn't mean you need to be jealous." She put in.
Natsu wondered if he had really been paying that much attention to Lucy.
One hundred percent was quite a bit.
Not that he was complaining.
Lucy was a lot prettier than Gray.
Though if Lucy had Gray's stripping habit, he'd be a lot less sexually frustrated.
Or maybe even more.
"It's not that I'm jealous, it's just that you've changed him." Natsu and Lucy both raised their brows to that.
"What do you mean I've changed bro?" Natsu asked. Gray sighed and leaned back in his chair.
"What I mean is, you're not nearly as depressing anymore. I've known you a long time man, and I know your moods." Gray folded his hands behind his head and looked straight into Natsu's onyx eyes. "It's just weird. It's nice, but it's weird. I haven't seen you like this since before dad died." Natsu swallowed the lump that had begun to form in his throat.
"So, why is it annoying then?" Lucy questioned.
Gray narrowed his eyes as he thought about his answer.
"It's just cause we're happy and he still hasn't found his one and only." Natsu answered for him, grinning wickedly. Gray elbowed his best friend in the ribs.
"That's not why." The ink-haired boy hissed out. Natsu chuckled and rubbed his ribs.
He really should start watching what he said around his best friend. Gray hadn't lied when he said he had started working out.
He should probably start working out too, otherwise Gray was going to get hotter than him.
Natsu almost snorted.
Who was he kidding? Gray would never be hotter than him.
"So, what's the reason then?" Lucy asked again. Natsu tried hiding the smile he sent her way from Gray, but by the scowl on the boy's face screamed that he saw.
"Okay, maybe it's a little about what Natsu said." Gray muttered, turning his face to the side to hide his blush. Natsu chuckled harder, Lucy soon joining.
"I know you too well, man. It's okay to be jelly of us." Natsu wrapped his arm around his brother grinning wildly.
"I'm not that jealous, you two aren't even dating." Natsu's grin fell.
It was just like Gray to hit him right where it hurt.
His feelings.
Stupid bastard.
Natsu wondered if he could throw him.
Maybe he'd test it out when he tested out how far he could throw Lucy.
He could just have a throwing contest with himself.
Speaking of Lucy, Natsu looked toward the girl noticing her laughing so hard, thick tears rolled down her cheeks.
"That's not funny!" He hissed out and kicked the girl's shin in frustration.
Lucy yelped in pain and shot daggers at the salmon-haired boy. Natsu's face paled.
"Hey, Lucy, I didn't mean to kick you that hard-" Lucy stood up violently and slammed her hands on the table.
"That fucking hurt!" She screamed and launched herself at the boy. Natsu shoved his chair back just narrowly missing the girl's outstretched fist and fell over. The impact of hitting the dirt knocked the wind right out of his lungs and he wheezed.
"You okay?" He noticed the blonde leaning over him, worry displayed clearly on her face. He couldn't help but think about how beautiful she looked.
An angel.
An angel of violence and confusion.
An angel none-the-less though.
It reminded him of the first night he saw her.
Except now he knew of her violent antics.
"I'm fine." He grunted out. Lucy sneered and flicked his nose. Hard.
Such violent antics.
"Ow!"
"What you get for bruising my shin!" And with that she walked off, hips swinging dangerously for Natsu. He shook his head.
So sweet and kind.
Yet so rude and violent.
What was he going to do with her?
He was going to break into her bathroom tonight before she got back to the dorms. Maybe hide in the closet and scare the crap out of her. He chuckled at the thought.
She was going to murder him.
"I like her." Gray spoke suddenly interrupting Natsu from his imaginings.
"I do to."
~Later that night~
"Are you about ready to go?" Natsu heard Lucy yell from her bedroom. He took another quick glance in her bathroom mirror before deciding he looked good enough for their 'not date'.
"Natsu!" She yelled louder. Natsu chuckled.
Such an impatient little girl. He almost wondered if he was actually taking that long.
No way.
She took way longer than he ever did.
Only reason why she was done before him today was because he hid in her bathroom forever waiting to scare her. And then when she finally went into the bathroom and he jumped out from the closet, scaring the absolute crap out of her, she hit him so hard in the head and abused his arms in violent punches that he had too massive of a headache to want to get ready right after.
He told her he learned his lesson, but only for the day.
Tomorrow was going to be different.
He was going to hide under her bed and grab her feet.
He chuckled to himself at the thought.
Maybe he'd make her watch The Conjuring when they got back from dinner tonight.
She'd definitely kill him then.
Should he write down a quick will while they were out tonight?
Probably.
Or at least plan out how he was going to pay off his hospital bills.
She really was a little violent blonde bundle of satanic wizardry.
"I swear to God, Natsu Dragneel, if we are late for our reservation tonight, I'm going to beat the crap out of you!" Definitely satanic.
"I'm done!" He yelled as he exited her bathroom. Going through her room he looked over to her mirror above her desk and smiled at the large amount of pictures that decorated the glass. Seeing that mirror always made him feel good. Almost all of the pictures were of the two of them, all fond memories of days past.
Now he just needed to talk her into becoming his girlfriend.
Stupid stubborn girl.
"Natsu fucking Dragneel, if you're not down here in two seconds I'm plucking all of your eyebrows off in your sleep!"
Stupid satanic, stubborn girl.
Quickly he made his way down the stairs to find a very beautiful, irritated angel tapping her foot by the door.
He let out a low whistle of appreciation. Black fabric clung to every curve of her body and even with it being long sleeved it left her shoulders bare. Her little black dress didn't leave much to the imagination.
He licked his lips.
"Damn, you look good." She blushed at his comment, but kept her glare.
He didn't understand how her face didn't stay that way.
He guessed resting bitch face was only a thing for non-violent people. Who knew?
"We're going to be late." She huffed out before looking him up and down. He couldn't help but smirk at the way her eyes hovered a little longer over certain parts of his body.
He knew he looked good. He did it on purpose.
"Perfection like this doesn't come quickly, Luce." Her brown eyes snapped back up to his face. He grinned wide and she rolled her eyes.
"Well, it should be quicker." She walked over to him and handed him his jacket she somehow had grabbed without his noticing.
Wizardry.
"Thanks." He voiced as he snuck a quick kiss on her cheek. Her blush deepened and Natsu almost chuckled.
Cute wizard though.
"Now, let's go. Our reservation is at 7." She took his hand in hers and he couldn't help the warm feeling that made its way up his arm. He shivered slightly at the feeling.
He had never known warmth like this before.
Never known kindness like this before.
These feelings were so new. So foreign.
It made him so nervous, how this one girl just entered his life unexpectedly and changed everything.
She held him with such an amazingly strong unknown power. And she didn't know it.
But, he did.
Oh, he knew very, very much so.
She was the air in his lungs.
His warmth on a cold day.
Every damn beat his heart made.
And it terrified him.
"Oh, man, I love this place!" Lucy hummed out as she patted her belly. Natsu chuckled at her.
"I think we've been spending too much time together." Natsu stated as he folded his arms over his broad chest. Lucy raised a brow.
"Excuse me?" Natsu chuckled.
"You're starting to act like me." He commented. Lucy laughed.
"Oh, God, maybe we should stop being around each other so much. No one would be able to handle two Natsu Dragneels." Natsu gave her a toothy grin.
"Please, the world would be so much better with two Natsu Dragneels in it." Lucy snorted.
"As if! The whole world would burst into flames!" Natsu scoffed.
"Whatever!" He leaned over the table and lightly pinched her hand. Lucy sent a glare his way, but her glare quickly softened into a smile.
"I'm telling you Natsu, you're just this huge inferno waiting to escape captivity. Two of you would scorch everything." Natsu took her hand in his and stroked the back of it with his thumb.
"Did you just call me fat?" Lucy laughed loudly, throwing her head back. Natsu grinned wide.
He loved when she laughed like that.
He always felt pride when he got her to laugh that hard.
No one else could.
He was secretly special.
Or maybe a magician.
Both?
"You're so fat Natsu." Thick tears began to run down her cheeks and her face lit up red in a deep blush.
"Tell that to my rock hard abs!" He yelled playfully. Natsu knew others in the restaurant were probably glaring at them, but he didn't care.
All that mattered was this amazing girl in front of him.
Everyone else could go to hell.
He'd send them there himself if he had to.
He'd just have to figure out how to get them there first.
Could he call Lucifer?
Maybe, email him?
"How you eat literally everything that's in front of your face, I'm surprised your abs are still rock hard." Natsu barely heard her grumble out. He smirked.
"So, you're admitting I have rock hard abs?" Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Anyone with eyes can see that, dumbass." Just then their waiter came over with the check and handed it to Natsu.
"Thanks, man." The waiter nodded at Natsu, but snuck a glance and smile at Lucy.
Lucy didn't really notice, her eyes only on Natsu.
But Natsu did fucking notice.
"I'll be your cashier whenever you're ready." Natsu glared at the bastard.
Definitely going to send his ass to Hell.
Hopefully Hell had a special place for him to put assholes like this guy in.
Otherwise he'd have to make one.
Maybe, he could put him in his mom's basement?
Oh, she would be so mad.
Like, Lucy mad.
"Hey, what's up?" Lucy broke him from his thoughts. Natsu blinked slowly at her.
"Stupid guy was checking you out. I could've hit him." Natsu growled out and stared at the table. Lucy squeezed his hand.
"Didn't even notice." He glanced up at her brilliant smile. "I only have eyes on you." She winked at him. He grinned wickedly.
"Guess I'm one lucky asshole then."
"I guess you are."
He would never admit just how much that sentence had effected him.
But, it did.
Way too much.
"Ready to go?" He asked. Natsu almost grimaced as the words left his mouth. His voice was way too deep. She was going to know just how effected he was.
She smirked.
She definitely knew.
"I'm ready when you are." Her voice came out slightly husky and oh so seductive. Natsu shivered.
There was no way she wasn't doing it on purpose.
She knew what kind of reaction she was going to get from him.
He couldn't tell if she wanted it or not though.
But, fuck, he did.
He watched with hooded eyes as she tugged her bottom lip between her teeth and rubbed his hand with her thumb.
She was doing it on purpose.
And she was doing a hell of a job getting him wound up.
"You're dorm?" She questioned. He almost snapped then and there.
Wordlessly he gripped her hand and together they stood before heading toward the door. Natsu couldn't get out of there fast enough, the walls suffocating him and his brain hazy with lust.
She was so bad for his health.
He loved it.
"Why the rush?" She whispered in his ear. Shivers ran down his spine and he had to clench his jaw to keep his mind clear enough to not pin her against the wall right outside the restaurant. She giggled with his brashness, but followed none-the-less.
He practically dragged her over to a nearby alleyway.
He was going to explode.
Four months of this teasing nonsense was coming to the surface all at once.
And he wasn't ready.
"This isn't your dorm-"
He silenced her with his mouth. His lips crashed into hers bruisingly and she gasped before tangling her hands in his soft hair.
Natsu was shocked with how much he had been holding back all this time.
But, more importantly, how much she had been holding back.
Their tongues danced together, setting a rhythm of desperation and want. He backed her into the brick wall and pressed her firmly between him and the stone. His hands slipped down her dress, following the curve of her body.
Holy Hell.
This right here, was way overdue.
He felt her teeth graze his bottom lip and let out a throaty groan. His traveling hands made their way to the hem of her dress and he gripped her porcelain thighs tightly and lifted her. A small squeak of surprise left her lips as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He smirked.
"You shouldn't tease me so much, Lucy." His voice came out husky and ragged, his breathing heavy and short. Lucy scratched the back of his neck and a low growl made its way up his throat. "You've been overestimating my self-control, I might just snap one day."
Lucy looked at him with hooded, hazey eyes, licking her plump lips.
Natsu was losing control fast. He grinded his hips in hers and she tilted her head back with a gasp. His kissed her exposed neck, earning a low moan. He smirked against her skin.
Finally she spoke, "And you're overestimating mine."
Review! Bye, loves:)
