Breaking Point
Chapter 11
PLEASE READ THIS!
So, a quick note before we begin, due to my update schedule I've actually managed to catch up to all the chapter notes I have about my update schedule. Due to unforeseen circumstances and how many chapters I have been submitting. I have unfortunately caught up with my notes for Thor: The God of Thunder, Breaking Point and a King in the Making. As a result, I will be putting them on hiatus until I have at least another ten chapters or so planned out
This doesn't mean they won't be updated as I have another two chapters for A King in the Making and another chapter possibly two for Thor: The God of Thunder and another chapter for a Breaking Point. Either way, they will be going on hiatus until such a time I have another ten chapters planned out.
This will take some time as I have to do research on Marvel, which was a we know is all over the place. And as for Breaking Point I'm doing research into wars and more tactical manoeuvres in order to make things a bit better. So it'll take some time, just wanted to let you know that they are not abandoned.
However, Injustice: The Path to Hell has plenty of chapters still to write and so I will continue to update that story. So, my update schedule will not change until those remaining chapters have been published and once they have, I will be updating Injustice: The Path to Hell every fortnight on Friday.

"Potter." Harry looked up from where he was sat in the library reading through an old book given to him by Dumbledore detailing a list of archaic spells to see a Slytherin stood before him. He was tall, not as tall as Neville but only just a few inches smaller than him with a much slimmer build and had black skin.
"Zabini." Nodding his head, Harry closed the book he was reading and took a few seconds to take in Zabini's body posture. There was no hint of aggression or anything like that, just indifference. His eyes however, they told a different story. There was annoyance and anger, yet not directed at him. But most of all, there was begrudging gratitude.
From what he knew of Zabini – which was very little – he was a bit of playboy who didn't discriminate between Purebloods or Muggleborns, as long as they were beautiful he was fine either way. And most of all, he was known friends with Daphne Greengrass and Tracey Davis. That alone told him all he needed to know as to why he was here.
"So, what can I help you with?" Harry asked, making Blaise release a sigh after having the staring contest between the two broken.
"Look, I don't like you." Harry blinked at Blaise's blunt words. "Hell, I find you more annoying and most times I want to punch you in your perfect face." Again, Harry blinked in shock now starting to get a little confused. "So coming here and talking to you was the last thing I wanted to do. I'd have been perfectly fine spending my entire life without holding a single conversation with you, but I can't because you had to be your usual annoying, heroic self and save my best friend."
Harry looked at Blaise a little unsure as to where he was going with this. "You're… welcome?"
"Shut up, you idiot." Blaise snapped and took a few moments to run a hand frustratedly through his short dark hair. "Look I'm not good at expressing my emotions and I don't necessarily like expressing them either, that makes it very difficult to make and keep friends. But Daphne, she's one of the few friends I have and you have no idea how angry I was when I learned about what happened last night. But I guess I have you to thank for saving my friend so I'm going to come out and just say it, thank you."
Harry sat silently for a few moments trying to digest where Blaise had gone with what had to be one of the worst 'thank you's' he had ever gotten. "That's alright, Zabini, you don't need to thank me." Here Blaise's glare intensified. "I don't like rapists and while I don't know Greengrass personally, I'm not the kind of person to stand by and let something bad happen to her, let alone get raped."
"Right, good." Blaise nodded his head. "Now that that's done I'm leaving."
"Wait, Zabini." Harry called out making the Slytherin turn to look at him. "Is she okay?"
Blaise narrowed his eyes at Harry, trying to judge what he was up to before shaking his head. "She nearly got raped, how do you think she's doing?" He snapped.
"I kno-"
"Potter, just shut up." Blaise interrupted. "You're making yourself look like an idiot."
He turned around to walk away once more, but Harry called out to him again. "Zabini, one more thing."
Groaning, Blaise turned to look at Harry with a glare that could kill. "What now?"
"You're welcome." Harry replied and it took Blaise a few moments to figure out what he meant and once he did, his eyes narrowed even further.
"Suck a dick, Potter." Laughing, Harry sat down back at his desk and reopened his book. Despite the way Blaise acted, he seemed to be a nice guy who looked out for his friends, even if his attitude sucked.
Still, a good friend was a good friend, he was happy that Daphne had at least one. God knows she could use one after last nights ordeal. 'Perhaps I should stop by and seeing how she's doing?' He thought before shrugging his shoulders.
"What you thinking about?" Looking up, Harry saw Hermione coming towards him, a large book tucked underneath one arm.
"It's nothing." Hermione looked at him in suspicion for a little while before shaking her head.
"Okay." She replied, taking a seat beside him. "Anyway, I did find something interesting while I was looking for a book on healing magic." Now this caught Harrys interest, turning to look at the page Hermione had marked in the large book she had placed on the table.
Taking a few moments he read over the area Hermione had pointed out and once he was done looking at her with a smile. "I could kiss you right now." Shaking her head with a smile on her face, the two quickly dissolved into a debate on what the possible uses of such a charm could be and how it could be improved, something the two had done with a large number of charms.
Neville was his training partner, someone he could practise new magic with and even gain a new understanding of the spell by teaching it to someone else. Despite not having loads of magic or a great deal of talent, he certainly had determination. Hermione however was someone who would help him scour the library in search of valuable pieces of magic that would help him in the coming months.
The two always working to improve pieces of magic that had potential to be so much more than what they already were, but had never been pushed that way.

Pushing open the door to the headmasters office, Harry stepped inside to see Dumbledore already waiting for him. "You wanted to see me, professor?" Harry spoke and Dumbledore nodded his head, though his face was lacking his usual grandfatherly smile and instead was a look of a hardened warrior.
"Yes, please sit." Doing as he was asked, Harry took a seat across from the headmaster. "As I'm sure you're already aware, Theodore Nott, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle have been removed from the school premises. As for Miss Greengrass, she has also been removed from the school premises as well as Miss Davis. Their future in this school is, as of right now, unknown."
Harry nodded his head, though a frown was on his face. "Buts that not why you asked for me, is it?"
"No." Dumbledore shook his head. "Your decision to burn the three students in question is a matter of concern." Harry went to go argue his point, but Dumbledore raised one hand and while annoyed, Harry does stay quiet. "Like I said, your actions cannot be changed, but the consequences to them, still remain to be seen."
"You mean…" Harry questioned.
"Yes." Dumbledore nodded his head. "No one has said anything about your actions, not even Voldemort."
"Why? Surely it would be best to at least cause some measure of distrust and anger at me from supporters by revealing that I nearly killed three students." The elderly wizard hummed in agreement, though his brow creased in worry.
"And that is what concerns me." Dumbledore said. "Voldemort is acting completely different to how he did in the last war. He's no longer leading big raids on Muggleborn populated villages and instead leading smaller raids to random locations. He hasn't made a single appearance since his previous raid upon Azkaban soon after his presence was revealed in the Ministry."
Harry remained silent, letting himself absorb everything that was being said.
"The old Voldemort would not have hesitated to make his presence known and instead is remaining quiet, allowing his followers to be seen while keeping himself hidden. And he hasn't even used your affliction to his advantage to weaken your power base as well as lower the morale of the magical world. Yet he has kept it silent, much like he has done with what you did to the three young men."
"Do you think he's planning something?"
Dumbledore clasped his hands together, one blackened and grotesque. "Most assuredly. I believe that we are no longer dealing with the insane Dark Lord, that Voldemort has become in the last Blood War. But the cunning and dangerous Tom Riddle and if this is the case, Voldemort has become infinitely more dangerous."
"But how's that possible, he didn't seem entirely sane in the Graveyard nor in the Ministry." Harry pointed out and Dumbledore agreed, going silent as his mind went over the information he knew and what it could possibly mean.
"You remember our conversation about Horcrux's?" Harry nodded his head, remembering the time both he and Dumbledore had gone over the memory provided to them by Slughorn a few months ago. "I believe Tom is returning his soul to its original state, reabsorbing the Horcrux's back into him and becoming whole once more."
"But he won't be able to be fully whole, the part of his soul that lives in me is already dead as is the one in the diary."
"Magic is powerful, capable of many things. Returning part of a soul back to land of the living is very much a possibility though it has never been done before. Necromancy is the art of reanimate for dead corpses or bringing back whole souls back together. To bring back a broken soul like Toms is, or should be impossible." Dumbledore explained and Harry realised what he was leading to.
"But if anyone could do it, Tom is that person." Dumbledore sighed sadly.
Leaning back, Dumbledore let his eyes rest upon his Phoenix familiar. "I'm afraid that Toms natural talent for magic surpassed even myself. We were lucky that he fractured his soul which not only drastically weakened him, but impaired his mind. However, now it seems that Tom has also realised this and is taking steps to rectify his mistake."
The two remained silent, slowly digesting the conclusion they had come to.

Sitting down at the Gryffindor Table in the Great Hall, Harry remained silent as the people around him chattered happily. His fork pushing food around on his plate as his mind recounted the information that he had learned from Dumbledore.
"Wotcher, Harry." He is quickly broken from his thoughts when Tonks sits beside him in the form of Niamh White, Neville walking towards them at a slower pace.
"Nym, Neville." Harry greeted, getting a nod from Neville as he sat down across from him. At the same time taking note of the curious glances sent his way at Tonks appearance, or Niamh's appearance considering she was keeping her real identity secret.
"So, what were you thinking about so deeply?" Tonks asked and Harry deliberated for a few moments, unsure of whether to tell them the truth or not
"Just thinking about what magic to work on next." While saying that, he also gives the two a look to try and get across his desire to speak more about this in private. It works, and the two let the topic drop. "So you two got any plans for Hogsmeade?" He asked, quickly changing the topic of the conversation.
"Hmm, think I'm just going to stay in Hogwarts, I've got loads of work to do." Tonks answered, both knowing that by work she meant being his silent bodyguard and would actually be watching him from a distance.
"And you Neville?" Harry asked, his smile growing upon seeing how silent his friend had become, especially the red flush that was crawling up his neck. "Any plans for Hogsmeade?"
"Erm, I-I do actually have something going on." Neville admitted, his originally shy personality making its appearance after so long. Despite having become much more confident thanks to his training wing Harry that enabled to him actually show progression in his magical skills. Not to mention the various amounts of exercise had resulted in his body losing its usual chubbiness to be more athletic.
However, there was always little moments where the old Neville would appear.
"Ohh, do tell." Tonks said, her voice teasing and Neville's flush became deeper.
"I-I…" Neville stuttered and Harry decided to speak up.
"Would it happen to have something to do with a certain Hufflepuff?" He asked, already knowing full well that he was right having heard a not so secret rumour about Neville and his 'secret' crush.
The smile on Tonks' face grew even wider, already beginning to enjoy teasing Neville who's reaction was always fun. And she had officially only being friends with him for a couple of hours, which only made it even funnier for her.
"Ohh, does little Nevy have a crush?" Tonks teased making both her and Harry laugh when he saw the red blush on Neville's face grow exponentially deeper.
Huffing, Neville crossed his arms over his chest. "A-alright, you've had your fun." He grumbled, content to fill his plate with food and after a few moments with the two continuing to tease him as he attempted to ignore her, finally decided to change the subject. "What about you?"
"Me?" Harry questioned, getting a nod from Neville.
Tonks reached round, wrapping one arm around his neck. "This one here is all excited cos' he's meeting with his girlfriend." Harry shook his head, with a smile on his face. Not overly bothered or even remotely embarrassed about Tonks' teasing. He had nothing to be ashamed of, especially when in a relationship with someone as smart and as beautiful as Fluer.
"It's true." Harry admitted. "So, I'm glad that you finally managed to get the courage to ask Hannah out cos' I would have felt bad leaving you. Not loads though." Neville chuckled at that, understanding exactly what Harry meant.
"I'm guessing that means no training today?" Neville questioned.
Shaking his head, Harry stood up. "Nah, you can get some in yourself, but I plan to relax today."
"Won't that be the day." Neville muttered under his breath getting a laugh from Tonks, while Harry looked over his shoulder with a raised brow. Saying nothing, Neville instead continued to eat as if he ad said nothing.
Smirking, Harry shook his head and left the Great Hall, already planning to get his revenge against Neville soon. Oh and it would be good, perhaps try out a few harmless, but slightly painful spells under the pretence of helping him improving his dodging skills.
That sounded like a plan.

Stepping into the Three Broomsticks, Fleur was grateful that she had decided to wear the earrings she had been given by Harry.. They were small, gifts from Harry a few weeks ago and while not cheap, we're not overly expensive. But it was not the money that held any value to her, not that it would anyway, she wasn't shallow like that. The true value of the earrings was the various runes inscribed upon them.
Harry had apparently worked on these runes with help from Remus as the true value of the gift. Earrings that had runes upon them that helped to act as a way to not only keep her allure under control – despite her prodigious control over it, moments of stress and heightened emotions could lead to her losing control – as well as acting as a minor deterrent array.
Still, while these did stop people from approaching her like they would do so normally, it didn't stop people from looking at her. Veela, even without their allure were effortlessly beautiful and seductive and considering she had put some effort into appearing more noticeable for her and Harrys benefit, people still stared.
It was an uncomfortable, but relatively welcome change to the norm and she was very appreciative of the gift given to her.
Ordering herself a drink, Fleur took a seat at a table, patiently waiting and ignoring the glances sent her way by a number of customers and even servers. She was just thankful that the deterrent array stopped people from approaching her.
Taking the drink given to her by the owner of the place, Madame Rosemerta if she wasn't mistaken with a smile, she gently sipped upon the drink. Just a nice hot tea, she may not like English food but she did quite enjoy the tea here.
As she did so, her eyes would occasionally flicked to the door as it would open and people entered or left. Time ticked by and she was almost finished with her tea when the door opened and in stepped Harry. His hair was slightly ruffled by the wind – not that it wasn't always messy, though it did have a certain charm to it – and a few flecks of snow that had yet to melt.
"Hey." He greeted with a smile, leaning down to kiss her, completely unaffected by the deterrent array due in part to his and Remus' doing.
Returning the kiss, her warm fingers cupping his cheek beofre she eventually pulled away with a beautiful smile on her face. "'Ey." She greeted in turn. "I was beginning to wonder when you were going to turn up."
Laughing, Harry sat down on the chair beside her. "Yea, had to help a few first years that had gotten into a little accident when a few pranksters went a bit too over the top. So I had to take them to the Madame Pomfrey. Then I had to wait for the coaches to come back."
"Why not just apparate down?" She questioned more as a tease, not overly bothered by his reasoning. She knew Harry well enough to know when he was lying as well as knowing him well enough in general to know that he wouldn't be late without a good reason. Besides she wasn't the type of girlfriend to be overly possessive and suspicious of her boyfriend.
"Something about me having to be a role model and set an example to the younger children." He grumbled and Fleur laughed.
"You, being a role model. What 'as 'ze world come to?" She teased.
Narrowing his eyes, Harry prodded her in the side making Fleur jerk before glaring at him. "That's not very nice, you should apologise." He leaned down, whispering into her ear and Fluer looked at him in the eye with a smirk.
"Or what?" She tested and Harry simply smiled, leaning forwards as if to kiss him only to draw away.
"You want another drink?" He asked, take a great deal of pleasure at Fleur's confused and slightly aroused look. "Or would you like to go explore Hogsmeade for a bit?"
Fleur didn't even answer, just standing up and grabbing Harry, dragging him out of the pub while he spared a wave at Hermione on the way. The young Gryffindor witch having been sat with Susan Bones, both having to watch as their friends pursued a relationship.
-X- Line Break -X-
Tonks' laughed to herself quietly as she watched Harry and Fluer under one of the few Invisibility Cloaks belonging to the Order, each having being procured by Mad Eye from various 'friends.' Who was she kidding, she knew Mad Eye well enough that these Invisibility Cloaks will have belonged to individuals he had hunted in his long and celebrated career as an Auror.
Still, she would admit that she hadn't thought herself being capable of enjoying her current task. Considering when it was boiled down, she was basically a voyeur.
But then again, who knew that Fluer was the type of girl to make out with her boyfriend behind a tree where anyone could see her. Not that she was complaining, as much as she did feel slightly uncomfortable for spying on Harry and Fluer like she was. It didn't change the fact that she was enjoying the sight.
Both Harry and Fluer were attractive people and to see them in the position they were, Harry braced up against the tree, one hand cupping Fluers ass while the other her cheek as Fluers hands ran through his hair while they passionately kissed was certainly an arousing sight.
That and the fact she had various warming charms on her was leaving her uncomfortably warm.
"That was…interesting." Harry muttered after the two finally broke apart, both working to fix their clothes. But even then, it didn't take a genius to know what had happened considering their bruised lips and Fleurs messy hair. Harry's hair was always messy so it didn't really count.
"Oh, 'ow so?" Fluer asked, the two finally appearing presentable and heading out into Hogsmeade once more with their hands intertwined.
"Just sudden, I guess," Harry shrugged and Fluer smiled, resting her head on his shoulder as they walked through the bustling small village of Hogsmeade. Students and those few residents of the village sparing a glance at the two, mostly due to Harry and his fame, but also in part due to the woman on his arm.
As the two continued to talk and enjoy the day together, Tonks began to look at the area around them, more specifically, the people. Today had been relatively peaceful, no reports of any raids, but then again that was fine as it meant no one had died. At the same time, it was worrying.
Voldemort was never quiet and when undergoing Auror training with Mad Eye, she had studied Voldemort tactics religiously. It had been a key part of her training and one thing she knew from hours spent studying his work, was that Voldemort had never being quiet like this.
He had always performed big raids at least once a fortnight to keep people terrified while conducting a number of smaller raids at least four times a week. No one was safe and, Voldemort consistently made an appearance on the bigger raids. Compare that to now, and Voldemort had barely made more than one or two raids per week and they were tiny, nothing major.
The only big raids he had performed were the raid upon Azkaban, the raid upon the Ministry and the raid upon Diagon Alley. Compared to his previous actions, Voldemort was entirely different.
In fact, if she hadn't seen him in person, she wouldn't be sure it was even the same person leading the Death Eaters.
So the fact he was being quiet, was worrying. And it may or may not have put her a little on edge as she was starting to jump at shadows. Every time someone got a little too close to Harry or Fleur she would expect the worse. Even from old decrepit men or children barely older then thirteen, she would clutch her wand ready to fight should anything happen.
Of course nothing did, but her nerves were all over the place.
'I really need to get laid.' She thought to herself, once again having to calm herself down upon seeing a group of third year girls just chatting to one another as they passed by Harry and Fleur. 'Honestly, this is getting just ridiculous. I didn't expect to be driven to the point of Mad Eye paranoia by agreeing to watch Harry.'
-X- Line Break -X-
As the day in Hogsmeade started to come to an end, Harry found himself being grateful that he was a Prefect. It was his duty to ensure that all students were returned to Hogwarts unharmed and to all bring anyone attempting to stay in Hogsmeade back as well.
So, while more and more students walked up to the coaches, a safety precaution put into place by Dumbledore to ensure that the students weren't outside any longer than they had to be. That and there was a number of wards surrounding each carriage and if the carriages came under attack, they would be more than capable of withstanding any average spell.
Even if the carriages were destroyed or forced open, the carriage acted as an emergency Portkey, so as soon as the carriage came under attack, the students would be safely transported to Hogwarts.
Dumbledore had spared no expense and made sure to cover all his grounds, to ensure that life at Hogwarts would continue as normal as it could be. Students needed rest and Hogsmeade needed customers, he couldn't very well stop the visits as it gave students the chance to stretch their legs outside of Hogwarts grounds, so he sought a middle ground.
Harry meanwhile was walking through the village accompanied by Hermione, Neville and his date for the day, Hannah. Fleur had left to go back to Grimmauld Place a few moments ago and while Harry was sad to watch her go, he already had plans to visit her in a few days time. That would probably involve him breaking his fair share of rules just to do so, but he was pretty sure Dumbledore already knew that he snuck out to see Fleur.
Besides, he always went straight to Grimmauld Place and would spend the occasional afternoon there with Fleur and even spending some time with Remus.
"She's at it again." Hannah murmured, the three of them turning to Hermione who was lecturing a group of third year boys who had attempted to hide. They did a piss poor job, but there was always a couple of groups of stragglers. Luckily, they already knew all the hiding places themselves. Seriously, they had been at Hogwarts for three years longer than them, it would be pretty obvious that they would already know where the hiding places are.
"Leave her be." Harry replied, a fond smile on his face at seeing Hermione starting to act a little like her old self. He had vastly underestimated just how close coming to death had shook Hermione, she had been quiet withdrawn and he knew from overhearing the conversations between Lavender and Padma that she had frequent nightmares.
It was nice to know however, that despite their differences and their previous dislike of Hermione, Lavender and Padma were actually willing to put aside those feelings and comfort an obviously distraught girl.
"Have fun?" He asked once Hermione joined them once more.
"Honestly, how many does that make it now? Three?" She asked rhetorically.
Neville however, answered anyway. "Yep, that would be the third group." Hermione threw her hands in the air in frustration.
"Can't they see, that they need to follow the rules. You-Know-Who is out there and Hogsmeade was a frequent spot of his raids in the last Blood War." The last part was muttered quietly, but it was clearly heard by all four of them and the somber air returned.
"Hermione, how many rules have we broken in our time at Hogwarts?" Harry responded, making Hermione stutter in an attempt to answer the question in a way that wouldn't make her the bad guy. But they both knew that they had broken more rules in their first year than most had done in all seven years at Hogwarts. Even Neville and Hannah who didn't know the exact number found the situation amusing. "Exactly."
"Alright, so I'm not a model student." She said shortly, a little embarrassed to have been stumped so easily. "But that doesn't change the fact that they should be more aware of the situation."
"It doesn't, but most people like to bury their heads in the sand believing it will save them. Others just don't care and some pretend that there's nothing going on." Hannah responded gaining the attention of the group of three. "But at the end of the day, they're just kids."
As the ground descended into silence, Hardy found himself studying Hannah a little closer. She was average in terms of look, neither pretty or ugly, but from the way she spoke, it was obvious she understood things in a way that must wouldn't understand. It was an understanding that came only to those who had experienced the loss of a loved one.
Before he could think upon this further, screams sounded further in front of them and Harry instantly went on alert.
"What was that?" Hannah exclaimed, having moved to stand slightly behind Neville while Hermione had moved behind him.
"I don't know?" Harry looked to Neville and nodded his head. "I'll go and check it out, the rest of you get as many students as you can to the Three Broomsticks." With the order given, Harry rushed off ignoring Hermione cry for him to stop.
"Let him go, Hermione." Neville said, gripping Hermione's hand and stopping her from running after Harry. "Harry can look after himself, let him deal with it. We should focus on doing what he said."
Once sure that Hermione wasn't going to run after Harry, he let go and started directing as many people as he could to the Three Broomsticks. Hannah having already rushed there and directing people inside as she stood in the doorway. Madame Rosemerta also there and helping the young Hufflepuff herd the panicked students inside.
Hermione, herself looked to the area where she could see smoke beginning to rise into the air. She knew what this meant, Hogsmeade was under attack and like his usual self, Harry had rushed headlong into danger.
Shaking her head, Hermione quickly turned and followed Neville's lead, using magic to enhance her voice as she directed students towards the Three Broomsticks. She knew that Harry would be alright, she knew that he had been training harder than anyone for moments like these.
Harry would always help people, it was just the way he was.
-X- Line Break -X-
Harry had known the Death Eaters were behind this, it was the only explanation. And he had been prepared for many things when arriving upon the epicentre of their attack, the valley upon which led downwards from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade.
With the entire village having Wards surrounding it, many of which had been put into place and enhanced by Dumbledore himself, it was the only way for them to enter inside the Wards. A weak point that was unavoidable and had the Auror's stationed around it to ensure things like these didn't happen.
Only, it seemed to have failed.
Rounding a house he temporarily froze in horror at the sight before his eyes. The once pristine white snow was littered with the bodies of a large number of students, each dead and their blood pooling out, turning the once pristine white snow, red. Small groups of innocents huddled together in fear as those few Aurors that remained standing valiantly and desperately fought against the Death Eaters.
But it was a losing fight, the Aurors were outnumber ten to one as the Death Eaters continued to push forwards, lighting buildings on fire and fire Killing Curses and other dark curses at those few innocents still fleeing.
The sight of a young boy, no older than fourteen been struck with Blood Boiling Curse, filled with Harry with rage as the boy collapsed to the ground screaming. The sound quickly being silenced as the shock of pain caused his heart to give out. It was horrifying and with a murderous glare and a desire to destroy, Harry let his magic lose.
His eyes focused on one singular individual as he glared at the Death Eater who had killed the young boy. "Fiendfyre!" The cursed fire rushed out of the tip of his wand, the hatred and anger he felt feeding the spell to even greater heights as the orange flames rushed forwards in a stream of roaring flames, the head of it slowly taking shape into that of wolf.
The man barley had a moment to scream before he was engulfed by the flames, but Harry didn't stop there. His training with Dumbledore had encompassed many lost magics, and even looked at using some Dark Magics. Fiendfyre was one such magic they looked at, both knowing that it would prove immensely useful in a fight against Voldemort who made liberal use of this stronger and darker variant of magic.
Learning to cast Fiendfyre was easy, learning to control it was harder.
Harry himself despite his talents had struggled greatly with this and had only been capable of keeping control for a short periods of time. But now, with only a singular focus in mind, he could feel it, the control.
As the flames curled around the clearing, reducing a quarter of the Death Eaters to ash and then vaporising that as well, the flames came together, converging upon his location. Yet they did not engulf him, instead they lapped at his feet, not burning but instead changing.
The flames condensing into that of the image of a snarling wolf easily the size of a car. And Harry stood in front of it, his wand lowered, his shoulders tensed and his eyes glowing.
Now, it was his turn to take the fight to the Death Eaters.
A/N: Another chapter done and with it, the Death Eaters have made their move. Some of you maybe confused and even a little annoyed that Voldemort isn't revealing Harrys new predicament as a Werewolf, or partial werewolf as we know Harry to really be. But that's one for very simple reason, he's keeping it secret to reveal at just the right moment like Dumbledore explained.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter as the next one will conclude the end of the battle of Hogsmeade which had just begun. But also, it will conclude the end of Harrys training arc, which has made appearances here and there. Voldemort doesn't work on Harrys time and instead works on his own. So while Harry is nowhere near ready to face Voldemort, Voldemort is more than ready to enact his plans.
Now, onto the questions:
NotYourDad: Why are you threatening to rape all my female relatives and friends.? What is wrong with you? I don't care who you think you are, but that's disgusting and threatening. I can't report you because you put that threat under an anonymous review, but believe that's just ducking disgusting. I have the courage to put my stories out there and you decide to threaten to rape my family because I decide to get a little creative. It's people like you that make writing something difficult. Also, I suggest that if you send threats like that to other people you should stop, all you're doing is making yourself look like a child.
Also good luck trying to do that, I guarantee your some lanky shit who still lives with his parents and would probably struggle to beat a kid let alone adults. They would kick your ass mate so I suggest you rethink that. Or don't, it would certainly be funny to watch as they kick your ass.
highlander348: I'm not going to go life debt route, but I will definitely have Daphne grateful. She will return in a few chapters once I've got them planned out like I stated in the A/N above. But Daphne and Harry will get close, with Harry being helpful and kind to her.
ILikeHotDogs: I was going to, but I decided that Harry should go for the middle ground. But believe me, in the future Harry will do that and far worse to his enemies. He's not going to be the goody two shoes hero that you think he is. Oh no, Harry's going to make Mad Eye look positively tame in comparison. And Harry won't even be the worst – or the best depending on your opinion – when it comes to dealing with bad guys.
Leo: Yea, dialogue isn't my strongest suit, I'm improving slowly, but it's not my strongest element of writing. But I'll definitely be going back and editing my earlier chapters to fit in with my new writing style as it develops. Hopefully I can make the Potter-Longbottom friendship work a bit better.
Tinchu: Probably didn't explain it as well as I should have. But basically the build of the fighter reflects how their magic will react. A person with lean muscle built for speed will have spells that are faster and can change the environment around him much faster as well. So pretty much, his magic responds faster. However, a strength build, like Neville can naturally put more power behind his spells and can cause changes to the environment that will last longer. Now if one has a speed build, they can theoretically overpower a person with a strength build, but they will need greater control of their Magic.
So in the case of Neville vs the likes of Dumbledore. If they fired a Bombarda, Neville will be able to naturally put more magic into his spells due to his body being able to handle the stress greater. But Dumbledore can cause the same amount of damage with even less magic. Not only that, but his greater magical reserve and his magical control means he can also put more magic into his spells. If that makes sense.
The build of the person reflects how their magic can react, but if a person has more magic and greater control over it, they can recreate the same affect as their opposite build. In the case of Harry, he's going for the perfect balance between the two, able to do everything a speed build can while also at the same level as a strength build. If that makes sense, so don't worry, it will play a minor in the aspect of magic not a major.
Sonia25: See my explanation Tinchu on how the build reflects the persons build and their magic. Also, just because Bellatrix Lestrange is Voldemort's number two doesn't mean more powerful individuals appear. It's a big world out there and there's more to it than just Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Yes, Voldemort is the big bad and the main antagonist, but Bellatrix isn't the second strongest antagonist. Will she be one of the strongest? Yes, but the second? No.
Also, one thing I've learned about teaching others, is that you gain a greater understanding of the very thing you are trying to teach. As a result, while Harry is yes, babysitting Neville, he is also gaining a better understanding of the things he is teaching Neville. So it is helping him.
And thank you for your opinions, it's a shame you don't like this fic, but it's my story so I'll do what I want with it. I'm all for trying to make it enjoyable for people, but I'm not going to change my entire story to make people happy.
TehStorm: Don't worry, I've got a Ron redemption arc coming. I'm not the bashing type and while Ron does annoy me, he is human and makes mistakes like us all. So yes, Ron will have a redemption arc coming and they will talk. As for what happened, Ron is more focused on putting his head in the sand and acting like his usual self. While Harry is preparing for the war, just a difference in interests that drove them apart. And Harrys annoyed that Ron isn't taking this seriously.
