I was at Fitz's house getting flutters in my stomah. Sam arrived a little late. Only like 10 minutes though. I was nervous about the Neverseen, and that Sam wouldn't be friends with me. Sandor refused to not let us train. Sam would be weirded out. Surprisingly enough he challenged Samdor, rookie move. He fought with a sword. Sandor said he would bring it easy on him. Best 2 out of 3. If Sam won then we all got to go inside. Sam won the first round when Sandor wasn't trying. Sandor brought it on next round. It was a whirlwind of clashing swords, movements that were so advanced that I couldn't have tried them till 300 hundred years from now. Then the most insane happened. Sam pressed a sword to Sandor's neck and won. Sandor growled at us to get inside before he changed his mind.
We ran inside. Sam faster than any of us. We ate mallowmelt and custard bursts. When we went outside for star catching I was excited. It was beautiful out that night. But yet, of course the Neverseen has to show up. =(. Then started towards Sam when we were all in force fields. He wasn't in one, yet he didn't budge when Fintan told him to join the Neverseen. The black cloak they extended towards him had the symbol on it showing so that I would see it. Ruy told Fintan to burn him. Fintan heated up his hand, I felt like crying. "Sophie Foster, would you take his place for the burning."
Before I could say yes, Sam cut me off and said, "Fuck no." Then Fintan grabbed his arm. Sam grabbed back. Fintan Began to scream, sob, cry, beg. His face was draining all color. Sam wasn't letting go. Then all the color came to Fintan's face once more and he passed out. Sam was a pyrokenetic. He held Everblaze, the thing that had hurt me so many times, like it was a normal thing. The sweet smell filling the air, yet it was different. The and the Neverseen left the area and I heard screams, roars, yelling, then silence. The force feild was down. I started running towards where the sounds came from when someone turned around the corner in a Neverseen cloak. I bagan My inflicting when the voice said, "Sophie Foster, hello and just a suggestion, never let one friend take on the Neverseen." I was mad and about to unleash all anger on this person when the cloak was pulled down, "he might just win." Sam grinned. I pushed him into the mud.
"DONT EVER DO THAT AGAIN! You gave me a heart attack. A fricking heart attack. You me worry you fucking bastard!" I was crying.
"Never ever ever worry about me, I will never be fully gone, so stop acting like it." He pulled me in for a big hug. When he let go I saw the gold in his eye that were so much like mine. I was surprised and he saw it. He walked me over to Fitz who caught me in his arms and yet I didn't notice. "Sophie?!"
"Yeah?" Everyone sighed.
"You weren't responding to anything we said,"
"Sam's a fucking pyrokenetic. He's a pyrokenetic. A FUCKING PYROKENETIC!" Keefe sighed.
"Yes sophie, He is." Marella replied. Tam was hiding in the corner. Linh was holding a little ball of water in her hand. Dex was grabbing Biana's hand as she was nervous.
"Time to tell you all a story. Let me hail my parents." As he hailed his parents and there friends cane down, I realized that his mom had gold in her eyes as well. I was so confused. When his mom saw me, she walked right over. Her husband opened a portal. "Wanna know a secret Sophie?" It was Sam. All my friends looked at him. "There was no magically opened portal and we aren't stuck here." Fitz grabbed my hand. "We came for you Sophie. This is Queen Aelin Ashyver Whitethorn Galathynius, your mom. She had you with a man named Sam, who died. I was named after him. You were named after, because... Umm ... well.."
His dad cut him off, "you are the heir to the throne. The Terresan throne. Your name isn't Sophie Elizabeth Foster Ruewen. It is Princess Elizabeth Ashyver Cortland Whitethorn Galathynius of Terresan. Your father was an elf with brown eyes. Your mother, my wife, my mate, is the lady over there." A women with blond hair cane over with eyes rimmed with gold. She came over and started stroking my hair. I didn't realize I was crying till she wiped one of my tears away. She had fire in her hand. She realized I flinched. She led somewhere that everyone could see us yet couldn't hear us. She showed me the flame again. "Do you see this? Do you hear the crackle in your bones? Can you feel it deep down inside?" I could. It was there. It was a wildfire, a dangerous thing I would keep locked up. It was caged.
"Let go. Release it. Let your power go into the air. Let it burn so night it never fizzles out. Let it be. Free." I walked into the depths of my mind. I saw all the powers I locked in there. Shape shifting, fire, water, ice, shade, flasher, phaser, every single one was locked up with all my Fae powers. Then I saw a key on a wall. I grabbed it and put it in the lock. The next thing I knew I was riding on an animal. A beast with fangs, yet not scary. I was Elizabeth Ashyver Cortland Whitethorn Galathynius. My name sounded right as my powers came to me. Aelin handed me a mirror. The gold in my eyes was more visible and sharper. The brown almost milky smooth. My hair was lighter. I was different. I couldn't stay here. I belonged in another dimension. I was riding the Animals in a room running for my life. There was a door and the closer I got to it the more I felt my powers. My amazing powers. It was all free. Then I stopped, halted everything inside, "What if what's inside is a monster I can't handle?"
"You control you. If you are scared of the monster then you become the monster. Unleash it." That's when my powers broke out of me. The monster inside. Dragons of fire raced through my mind, dinosaurs made of wind, wolves of fire, on top of my head a crown of shadows and ice. I saw a person more beautiful than I was now with pointed ears and a crown light on a head yet heavy on the heart.
I felt the power coursing threw my veins. I wanted to change into a bird and fly so high, higher than ever before. With wings gliding. Yet of course the Council appeared right at that moment.
