Recap: Okie doke, here's the drill. Sarah's been taken to Hell due to an oath she made with a demon, so Billie (who cried), Steph (who didn't cry), Jack (who just wants to keep his hat), Dory (who can hardly remember where she is) and a flubber-parrot (who is apparently necessary, but only Dory knows why, and she may forget at any moment) go to find her.
"I'm on the highway to Hell!" sang Steph. Jack rolled his eyes.
"Will you ever STOP SINGING?" he shouted.
"No," she replied. "As they say; if you can't beat them, join them!"
"Like Hell will I sing with you. You're completely out of key," he said, fiddling with his beard.
"I find that comment of very poor taste," muttered Billie bitterly. (A/N: tongue twister alert! Say it five times really fast!)
"It's rock and roll, you don't need to be in key," she replied.
Jack raised his eyebrows at her, and she shrugged, continuing:
"I'm on the highway to Hell,
No stop signs, speeding limit,
Nobody's gonna slow me down!"
Jack was right, she was completely out of key; she was just screaming the words as loud as she could. Dory, who didn't know the words, was singing 'doo up, doo up,' in the background.
Then Steph started dancing. She was waving her arms in the air and spinning around as fast as she could. She twirled past Jack and plucked his hat off his head, jamming it onto her own.
Jack grabbed her by the waist before she could get too far, pulling her in front of him. She had both hands pressed to the top of that hat so he couldn't get it off her head.
"I'll be wanting my hat back, missy," he said.
"Persuade me," she said, leaning back in his arms so she could see his face better and grinning.
"I'm not sure you'll be wanting a pirate to persuade you, luv," he said, not letting her go.
"Neither am I, but do you want your hat or not? It's actually quite comfortable," she settled the hat on her head a little more, grinning up at him.
Jack opened his mouth to reply, but he was stopped when Billie shouted out, "Jack, Steph, come check this out."
The two ran to catch up and saw Dory, the parrot and Billie looking at a small black hole in the ground. The ground was only about a foot wide diameter, and appeared not to have bottom.
Steph groaned. "Not again," she muttered.
"Okie dokie peoples, this is it!" said Dory cheerfully. "You just drop down this incy wincy pit and turn right, then ta da! You're at Hell's Gate."
"Aren't you coming with us?" asked Billie.
"Me? Oh, no! Those Gates give me the heebie jeebies!" They stared at her. "Anyways, I'll be leaving you lot here. Ta ta!" And with that, she sped off back in the direction they had come.
Billie dropped his legs into the hole. "See you at the bottom," he said.
"Hopefully," muttered Steph.
Billie ignored her and dropped into the hole.
What's at the bottom of the hole? Will they survive the fall? Does Jack get his hat back? Where is the parrot necessary? Dory didn't tell them.
Stay tuned for the next episode to find out!
