Chapter 36

BPOV

I got back home, Edward shouting into his gaming headset, cursing at the big flatscreen in front of him. He was still in his boxers, entirely focussed on his game. I smiled to myself, this was perfect. He didn't pay attention to me when I walked to the bedroom, except for a quick 'hi baby' when I closed the front door.

I could hear him tell the guys he'd leave after this game and I searched for a hiding place for my gifts. Rummaging through the drawers, I picked out the purse I'd wear tonight and stuffed them inside, leaving it in the closet. My head snapped up when I heard footsteps behind me, closing the zipper of my oversized clutch quickly.

"I missed you," he said, leaning against the doorframe. "What are you doing?"

"I just remembered I had this clutch, for tonight. I'm just going to switch bags now so I don't forget later." I made an excuse.

"How were the guys?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Great, Garrett and Pete were asking about you. I told him maybe tomorrow we could all kick some ass together."

"Oh, sure." I nodded, feeling more and more nervous about tonight.

"Are you okay, baby? You look flustered." Edward narrowed his green eyes at me, picking up every one of my mood swings effortlessly.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't know what to wear tonight." I muttered.

"Hmm." Edward walked over to me, his hands on my waist. "How about you show me the options?" He muttered against the crook of my neck. "You could wear that red little number underneath." He continued, fingers brushing up against my ribcage, going up. "You know, the one with the straps and the garter belt?" I smiled, leaning into his touch.

"I know the one you're talking about." I grinned. I'd worn that for his birthday back in June. It didn't stay on for very long. "But I might have something else. I think you'll really like it."

"Is that my New Year's gift then?" He asked, looking down at me adorably impatient.

"Maybe, maybe not."

"So mean." He shook his head playfully.

"You won't tell me anything about my gift, so why should I tell you?" I played, fiddling with the elastic waistband of his boxers, fingers tracing the outline of his hardening dick.

"How can you be hard right now?" I laughed, impressed.

"I'm imagining you in lingerie and you're touching my dick." He shrugged.

"That easy?"

"That easy, baby."

I bit back a smile, my nervousness turning into excitement.

I washed Edward's hair in the shower, soapy suds running down his face, his eyes shut tightly. I took the time to appreciate his features again, the strong jaw and his straight nose, the fullness of his perfectly pink lips. I sighed internally, barely containing my eagerness to call this man my fiancé. I thought about the scene where he'd say no, but I knew he'd say yes. Emmett told me Edward wanted to propose, but he didn't know when or where. I snickered to myself, imagining the surprise on his face.

"What are you laughing about?" Edward asked me, breaking my daydream.

"You just look so cute right now," I answered, running my hands down his chest, his abs, down to his stomach where I traced his happy trail. His muscles contracted underneath my hand.

It wasn't long before I felt the cold tiles against my breasts, taking in a sharp breath at the change of temperature.

"Oh fuck." I gasped, feeling his erection slip push against my ass.

His lips were hot against the back of my neck as his hands traced every curve of my body.

"It's the last time I get to fuck you this year," he purred into my ear, making me laugh.

It was quick, it was hard and I loved every second of it. I arched my back, leaning over, holding on to the slippery tiles as he fucked me from behind, hard. This angle was everything, and I closed my eyes as I felt him hit me deeply, over and over again, my eyes rolling back. I could feel it burn, the intensity and the passion running through me violently.

"Fuck, I need you to come," Edward grunted, the sound of his body crashing into mine turning me on even more.

My hand reached down between the two of us, grazing his cock as it moved in and out of me. Edward let out a strangled moan, urging me on. I circled my clit, the water from the shower mixed with the wetness of my arousal making it so fucking good.

"Yes." I panted, my legs shaking. "Yes, fuck. Don't stop." I pleaded, my cheek against the shower wall. He pumped into me harder, faster, losing control. I came, loudly, my legs almost giving out from the intensity. Edward grunted and pulled out of me, turning me around. His mouth was slightly open, eyes narrowed in pleasure, chest heaving. He started stroking himself, my eyes glued to him.

"Oh, fuck. I'm gonna come so hard all over your perfect tits." He purred, his unoccupied hand teasing me, touching me all over.

I sunk down to my knees, water trickling down on me, making it hard to see him as I looked up, my hand massaging his balls. It didn't take much, not at all. Edward stroked himself faster now, less deliberately, so fucking close before he shot his load on my chest in hot spurts.

"God fucking damnit." He grunted, catching his breath as I rinsed off under the water, a big smile on my face.

We got ready together without talking much since we were running late as usual. Edward stared at me when I applied my eyeliner, thick and heavy as he buttoned up a black dress-shirt, sleeves rolled up.

I pecked his lips before I let the towel fall down on the ground and walked over to my closet, picking out my underwear. I put on the high-waisted, lace thong along with the matching, strapless bra. Edward's eyes were on me the entire time, I could just feel them running up and down my body. He sat down on the foot of the bed, arms stretched out, leaning back on them.

"If that's my gift, I can't wait to unwrap it later." He remarked. I turned around, adjusting the waistband of the panties.

"No garters?" He pouted, I cocked my head to the side.

"You know Alice and Jasper's is going to be hot as hell. She insists on always lighting up the fireplace, so no. No stockings." I giggled.

I pulled the dress over my head. Forest green, lace sleeves, short and tight. Just the way he liked it.

"You look amazing," he said.

"You clean up fucking well yourself." I winked, appraising Edward in olive chinos and a black shirt.

"Are you ready?" Alice asked, uncorking another bottle of champagne. We've had dinner, three courses she and Jasper prepared, and were ready for dessert. Jasper looked up at me, eyes sympathetic and bright blue as he put the finishing touches on the individual portions of crème brulée, tiny blow torch in hand. I fumble with a towel nervously, hearing Rosalie's laughter to one of Edward's jokes coming from the living room.

"Yeah, I am." I composed myself, grabbing my bag from one of the kitchen chairs, hands shaking as I undo the zipper.

"Help carry this, will you?" She nodded to the tray with cups of coffee, filling up her grandmother's coffee pot carefully with steaming brown liquid. I put my wrapped gift in Jasper's waiting hands.

I pick up the tray and place it on the cluttered coffee table, filled with empty chocolate wrappers and champagne glasses. Alice walked in, carrying the bottle and coffee put before she put it down with a big smile on her face.

"It's time," she sings, clapping her hands together.

Emmett sat up straight, removing his hand from around Rosalie's shoulders, as happy as a kid.

"I'll go first." He volunteered, walking over to Alice's Christmas tree and came back with a pink gift back for Rose, whose eyes sparkled with excitement.

"I knew that was mine, I just knew." She said, sipping her champagne. It was still the very first glass she got. Responsible driver, and all. She put the glass back on the table and scooted to the edge of the couch, waiting hands outstretched.

Rose unwrapped a pair of expensive, rose gold shears. The ones from her wish list. She threw her hands around Emmett's neck, pulling him in for a hug. "Thanks so much, babe. I've been lusting over those for three months now." She said, a smile on her face.

"Can I go now?" Alice asked, unable to sit still. Jasper rolled his eyes at her, knowing all too well she wouldn't shut up until she was able to give him her present.

"I hope you didn't spend all our money." He joked, earning an ugly look.

"Open it." She presented Jasper with a big box, although it looked fairly light.

Jasper's eyes widened, smiling like a fool as he peeked inside the box. He got rid of the wrapping tape, retrieving an oddly-shaped pillow.

"Fucking hell, Alice! You didn't!" He shouted, bouncing with excitement.

"What is it?" I wondered, my mind taken off the rectangular box I hid inside my bunched up cardigan on my lap momentarily, Alice's smile all-knowing.

Jasper held up the pillow, the image of a dog staring back at us; a puppy, Border Collie. I frowned.

"I got Jazz a puppy," Alice smirked, Rosalie oohing and awing over the cute photo.

"Oh my God! Really?" She nodded.

"Where is he?" Jasper wanted to know.

"He's staying at Edward and Emmett's parents. We're picking him up tomorrow," she said, kissing her husband.

"You were in on this?" Both Rose and I said simultaneously, looking at our guys. They exchanged glances and laughed.

"Yeah, friends need to help keep other friend's secrets, right?" Emmett said, smirking at me. I wanted to punch him in the gut.

"Okay, my turn. Been having to hide this way too long now." Edward stands, retrieving an A5-envelope with a bow on top before walking back to me.

"I can do a lot of things, baby. Wrapping gifts is not one of them," he said. I smacked him in the chest playfully, grabbing the back of his neck to kiss him.

"No baby-making on my couch," Jasper yelled. We looked at him, cheeks red, smiles wide. Rosalie coughed, choking on her dessert before washing it down with some coffee.

I opened the envelope carefully, sticking the bow onto Edward's shirt.

Flowers before I propose to my man. How cliché. I bit back a smile.

I gasped, touching the slick cover in front of me.

"No way," I smiled widely. His eyes turned a little timid, blush still on his cheeks.

Tales of us.

E.A.C

"Wow, Edward! You actually got it published?" Alice gasped, clearly in on the surprise.

"Thanks to you, yeah." Edward smiled at my best friend, I felt my heart grow two sizes, lucky to have both amazing friends and the best boyfriend in the world.

The book was beautiful, black hardcover, shiny, blurry images on the cover in black and white.

"I pulled the plug on my blog. Took everything I ever wrote on you and compiled it into a bundle. For you." Edward explained. My heart burned for him.

"You got it published?" I asked, eyes wide, scanning the first page.

"Alice got me an appointment with Victoria when you were back in New York. She convinced me to publish it even before the wedding and before we got back together." Edward explained. We both looked at Alice who swallowed a mouthful of coffee.

"Hey, don't look at me. I knew you were destined to be together. Just needed a little push in the right direction." She smiled, all Cheshire cat, all-knowing Alice.

Alice unwrapped the vintage Louis Vuitton bag Jasper got her, tears in her eyes.

I got up, eying Rose who looked a little nervous.

"You or me, Rose?" I asked her, snapping her out of her gaze to the floor.

"I'll go." She said quietly, walking to the tree, picking up the tiny red square.

"I know you think I'm crazy sometimes, but I'm hoping this might tell you how much I love you. I love you so much, and this just proves what we're capable of." She announced. I had no idea what she was talking about. Alice eyes me questioningly. She didn't know either. I scanned Edward's face, he was in on it, kissing my knuckles to shut me up.

Emmett took the gift from her manicured hands, as she bit her lip and unwrapped it fast, gasping and going dead-silent right after. I leaned over Edward's arm to get a better look at the present in his lap.

A picture.

Some folded fabric.

"Happy New Year, Daddy." She purred, putting a hand on her stomach, Emmett's face blissfully beaming up at my beautiful friend.

"You're pregnant?" I almost yelled for the entire building. Alice squealed, throwing her arms around Rose, hugging her from behind as I hugged her from the front.

"Good job, man." Edward said to his brother, pulling him in for a one-armed hug on the couch.

"I can't believe it. I fucking can't, Rose!" Emmett exclaimed, stealing Rose away from Alice and my embrace.

"Well, I can. With your sex drive it was bound to happen," Rose giggled.

"So that's where you got it from?" I laughed at Edward.

"No, my room was next to Mom and Dad's growing up," Emmett began. "That's where it's coming from. And trust me, it came often, and very loudly." He laughed, all of us joining in.

"I'll give the parents some rest, my turn now." I bit my lip excitedly and let my cardigan fall to the floor, exactly where I wanted it, at Edward's feet. No one noticed the thud, although Alice kept staring at it.

"There you go, Warrior. All yours," I said. I gave Edward the smaller box, he opened it to find a velvet drawstring bag inside, his long fingers fumbling with the ties.

"Wow, baby. That's beautiful." He smiled, taking the leather bracelet from the bag, the stainless steel tag glistening in Alice's fairy lights.

"It's engraved." I told him, standing in front of him, waiting for him to see it.

"My heart, my life, my all." He read. His hand reached out to me, my palms were clammy.

Alice and Emmett's eyes crossed, tension filling the room.

My heart thundered wildly in my chest, as I looked down I could see it beating through the lace of my dress.

"It's beautiful, thanks, Bella. I love it." He pulled me in for a kiss, a wet kiss with tongue, calming my nerves a little.

"I love you," he whispered.

I smiled because I knew.

We ate the rest of the dessert and Alice kept looking over at me, giving me the stare. I got up to use the restroom in an attempt to get myself together. I fluffed up my hair in the mirror and washed my hands with cold water, using Alice's expensive Jo Malone soap.

When I got back, Emmett held up the baby romper to his chest, explaining to everyone how gorgeous their little baby will look. I smiled at Rose, who gave me a wink and pretended the laces of my heeled ankle boots came undone.

"What're you doing down there?" Edward asked, sitting up, elbows on his knees to look at me on the floor.

"There's something else." I began, my voice shaky. I fumbled with the cardigan on the floor and I heard Alice take in a deep breath.

I went down on one knee, my dress riding up indecently high on my thigh, but I didn't care. I wanted to do this the right way.

Edward opened his mouth a few times but closed it again, a confused look on his face.

His eyes, green and vivid, velveteen watched my every movement as he scooted closer to the edge of the couch. I held the lid of the box, having unwrapped it myself since I thought this was a better idea.

"You know I love you, and you know it's not always easy for me to say what I want to say. But I know this for sure, and I can't wait any longer. I don't want to wait anymore, I can't and I don't want us to waste any precious time. It's me and you, and this is that kind of love that does last a lifetime." I was glad I thought about what I wanted to say to him. "That's why I wanted to do this, here, tonight." I popped the lid of the leather box, his watch shining, propped up professionally by Oliver.

"Edward, you've broken down every wall I had. You chased me when I ran and you loved me even when I was a bitch. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my days with you. Would you please, do me the fucking big honor or marrying me?" I choked out, swallowing the lump in my throat and biting back the tears that were coming.

Rosalie gasped, a death-grip on Emmett's arm and Alice let out a high-pitched noise forever etched in my memory.

Edward smiled, biting his lip, turning adorably red in the face. He was speechless, utterly speechless, staring at the watch, at me, holding my gaze until one lone tear escaped from his eye.

"Fuck yes, of course, I'll marry you." He scooped me up from the floor, into his warm arms. I buried my face into his neck, breathing him in, relief flooding over me.

"Oh my fucking God, what a night!" Jasper exclaimed.

"A marriage, a puppy and a baby! What is this, a Hallmark movie?" Emmett laughed, downing his glass of champagne in one go.

"It's so beautiful, Bella. But Omega? That's fucking expensive." Edward's brows shot up, totally surprised.

"Guys buy expensive engagement rings all the time, plus I know you'll like this more than an engagement ring," I explained, letting him take the watch out of the box. He turned it over, seeing the words on the back of it. He kissed me, hard and long.

"I'm buying you a diamond anyway, whether you like it or not." He smiled against my lips.

"Hell yeah, brother. You gotta show the world she's off the market. That's why I bought Rose the biggest rock I could find." We all laughed at Emmett's remark, Rose rolled her eyes.

"Time's never wasted with you, either," Edward said sweetly. "And it's only the beginning."

THE END.

Now, this might be the end of this fic, but know that I'm always treasuring these two in my heart. There might be some Outtakes in the future, of Futuretakes as well.

Thanks for everyone who read and reviewed. I know you had to wait a long time for this one, but I just recently found back my mojo. It's completed, as promised.

Big thanks, and know that I love you all!
