What if Gravity Falls wound up changed because of the portal opening?

A bus was driving down a long winding road through the forest, mostly empty minus the driver and two kids riding on it.

"I can't believe mom and dad sent us away to oregon for the entire summer…" Dipper grumbled as he stared out the window. "That's kinda much just so we can 'get out'."

"Hey, I'm excited, I can't wait to meet our new great uncle! Wow, that's a lot to say….I got it, Grunkle!" Smiled Mabel while kicking her feet over the seat with Dipper raising an eyebrow.

"We've never even met him Mabel. Or heard what he's like."

"Well he has to be fun if mom and dad decided to let him watch over us, right?"

"Or they were just too desperate to get us out of the house they didn't think how this might end."

"Aw come on, this'll be fun Dipper!" She said as the bus began to slow down. "Think of all the new people we'll get to see."

"I guess…" Dipper said, not fully convinced.

The bus came to a stop with the driver looking at them. "Alright kids, hurry up and get off."

"Ok, thank you for dropping us o-"

"Just hurry up, I don't wanna stay in this place any longer than necessary."

Dipper raised an eyebrow as they got off at the bus stop before the doors slammed shut and they watched it go zipping off down the road. "Huh, that was weird…"

"Yeah, but where are we?" Mabel asked as she and Dipper turned around and spotted a house. "Maybe we can ask someone over at that house so we have the right directions."

"Yeah…" Dipper said as he spotted the words "MYSTERY SHACK" on the building.

With that they began to make their way towards the building, not noticing the sign near the path they were taking that read "Gravity Falls" on it.

Dipper and Mabel slowly blinked when they reached the shack, noting how there was something...off. The shack itself seemed a bit normal, aside from some strangle large windows, and a door that seemed larger than necessary for any human.

"Hey Dipper, didn't mom and dad say Grunkle Stan ran a place called the Mystery Shack? Maybe this is it?"

"Well then I guess we're at the right spot. It's not as bad as I expected." remarked Dipper.

"Yeah, now let's go in, I wanna see Grunkle Stan!" smiled Mabel running past him with him following, but still getting that off feeling making him look around.

'What's going on? Why did the bus driver leave so fast?'

"Hurry up Dipper!" Mabel called as she began to knock on the door. "Hey! Grunkle Stan!" She called with a smile. "It's us, Dipper and Mabel!"

It was silent before the door opened.

"Grunkle Sta-!" Mabel started, only to pause as a figure stepped out. "Waaaah!" She cried as Dipper gasped.

"Oh my God!"

"What? Did I forget to put on pants or something?" Asked a figure with dark grey skin, bat-like wings on their back, wearing a suit with pants, but had sharp claws and feet, glowing yellow eyes, with a red fez on their head.

"M-M-Monster!" Dipper cried out in fear,

"Don't eat me!" Mabel cried as she backed up.

"Ah, you must be Sherries kids, right? Marble and Diddle?" he asked with his hands on his hips as Mabel hid behind Dipper. "Well, welcome, to the greatest sight for all your supernatural and mysterious needs, the Mystery Shack!"

"W-What are you?" asked Dipper as the gargoyle face palmed.

"Right, forgot about the makeover. Well kids, don't worry, I ain't gonna eat ya, I'm your good ol' Grunkle Stan."

"...really?" Mabel asked in confusion.

"Yup."

"I don't buy it." frowned Dipper on guard. "Who are you really?"

"Look, it's a long story kid, just come in and I'll explain." He turned and walked inside. "And try not to touch everything!"

"Mabel... are we really going to follow a monster into his house?0

"I thought you were into this sorta stuff?"

"Well yeah, but isn't this kinda dangerous?" He remarked. "Hrs s literal gargoyle! A monster made of stone who can rip through things with their claws!"

"Yeah, and he's our Grunkle, we can trust him, now c'mon!"

"Wait!" he called as she ran inside with him following. "Mabel stop!"

"Come on Dipper!"

"Get in here kid, come on, I'm only explaining this once!"

Dipper looked around when they got inside, slowly stopping and going still.

"Wha..." he said as he looked out to see the shop seemed to be split in two, one showing strange and unusual creatures and items and the other... looking normal?

"What sorta shack IS this?"

"Welcome to the mystery shack kid, half for its for humans to get an eye into they spooky supernatural world, and half of it is for supernatural creatures to learn about the human world... and for those who have changed to remember how things used to be." revealed Grunkle Stan while pulling out an eye patch to slip on one eye. "Gotta look good for the suckers."

"But... why... are you really our great uncle?"

"Course I am kid, but let's just say things changed." He said with a sigh. "Look, Gravity falls is a weird town, and after awhile the people began to change too, but by bit we started to become something else."

"That...really doesn't add up."

"Well, it's complicated, just know you and your sisters will be the only humans in town." Stan said with a shrug. 'Better they don't know the portal I opened leaked out some kind of radiation that caused all this.'

"So then, we're like super special celebrities?" asked Mabel pushing her cheeks together with stars in her eyes. "Everyone here is like you?"

"Not quite like me, and let's just say you're now one of the weakest and most normal residents of gravity falls."

"Uh..."

"So welcome to gravity falls kids, I hope you have fun! Human free for since 1996... or sometime around there?"

remarked Grunkle Stan scratching his head. "Not gonna lie, it's been so long I forgot. Anyways, let me show you the rest of the place." He said as they went further into the shack before dipper Spotted what looked like a red furred werewolf in green flannel and jeans frozen in what looked like a howl among the exhibits.

"Huh." he walked over, curious and wanting to get a closer look.

"This is so weird... Grunkle Stan, how did you make these things?" Dipper asked as he poked at the werewolf.

"What kind of statue is this?"

"I call it the she-werewolf, it's a hit with the tourists."

"Looks pretty fake."

"What are you, a critic?" teased a voice right behind him, making him let out a startled yell and run into the statue, knocking it over.

It clattered to the floor as he turned around quickly, his eyes wide.

"Dipper, meet Wendy."

"Sup dude." chuckled a teenager with long red hair, wearing the same clothes as the statue, and with a wool hat on her head. But unlike a normal teenager, she seemed much taller than the average one with much more noticeable muscles.

"Grunkle Stan, you said we were the o to humans left in town!" Mabel pouted.

"You are."

"But isn't Wendy a human too? She's just tall!"

"And muscular too." Wendy added with a grin.

"Yeah, but other than that, human!"

"Well she ain't, she's an troll, show them your horn Wendy." Stan said with a Grin as she groaned. "In a few months her skin will start to change color too like the rest of her family."

Wendy took off her hat to show a pair of horns poking up from her hair making Dipper drop his jaw in surprise.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer."

"Oh! Sorry sorry! I didn't mean to stare."

"It's fine I guess, before you came I used to be the most normal person here." Wendy sighed.

"And the laziest." Stan muttered with a frown. "Speaking of which, SOOS! Where are you?"

"Right here Mr. Pines." called the man as Dipper and Mabel turned to see a large man with pink skin, large buck teeth and sharp claws.

"Ah! Moleman!"

"Oooooh."

"Hehe, hey dudes, so you're Stan's family? Nice to meet you." he greeted with a wave. "I know I might seem scary, but I'm a real cool guy. I'm the handy guy around here and keep things nice and fixed."

"Speaking of fixed, did you fix that tunnel you dug under the floorboards?" asked Stan before it gave out under Dipper, dropping him into the hole.

"Yes, but then I made a new one." He said with a grin as Stan sighed.

"Fine, just reinforce this one, we'll use it to keep extra merchandise."

"You got it Mr. Pines." He said before diving into the hole Dipper fell into, and threw him out. "There ya go little dude." Soos chuckled as he began to get to work.

"So...everyone in town is like you, Wendy and Soos?"

"Yup, weird, creepy, hard to look at, and sometimes shedding. Bunch of weirdos compared to me." smirked Stan making the twins share an unsure look with each other.

"Yeah, whatever you say." Dipper said slowly.

"Hey, it's true, just be careful asking around, some of them didn't exactly take the change well, and some well, let's just say they changed TOO much." Remarked Stan as he led them into the house area. "You two can take the empty room I have upstairs, should be able to fit both of you no problem, gonna have to move some stuff out of the way since I've been using it for some storage space."

"Ok...thanks?" Dipper said as he began to cautiously make his way upstairs.

"First on there calls first dibs!" Spoke Mabel before running past him.

"Wait, no!" Dipper called as he raced after his twin.

"They seem like good kids Stan." Wendy said as he sighed. "Do you think they'll…"

"I dunno Wendy, I dunno, I hope they don't, but in this town...there's not much choice about whether or not it'll happen to them." He replied before straightening himself out. "Anyways, let's focus on any suck-I mean customers we get today, and I mean you."

"Relax, I'll keep a good eye out." she casually shrugged with a smile. "I'll make sure they think everything is a funny sham, as always, got that fake tail that will accidentally 'fall off' halfway through your tour?"

"Of course, I'm the master when it comes to shams." Smirked Stan with pride.

"Good, and what about the kids?"

"Eh, I'll let them do whatever they want for the time being." He said with a shrug. "How much trouble can they really get into?"

Dipper and Mabel came to the room Stan told them, and suffice to say, having to wipe away some of the dust was annoying.

"So, we're gonna be staying at a place full of monsters...this is amazing!" Mabel said in excitement. "It's like a super dream come true!"

"Or a nightmare." remarked Dipper setting his bag down on one of the beds. "I mean, a whole town, filled with people who suddenly turned like that? How does something like that not get noticed?"

"Well we ARE near some mountains. People probably wanna do their own thing."

"Still, it just seems way too weird and makes no sense."

"Why does everything have to make sense Dipper, why can't you just have fun?" She groaned before perking up. "Hey, let's go into town! I wanna see some more monster people!"

"Because understanding it means we're not in danger." remarked Dipper bluntly before pulling his sheets off and jumped back when he saw a two headed goat there gnawing on a can.

"Baaa." let out the second head.

"Gah!" he cried as he stumbled back. "See! What if that thing wants to eat us? Or can breath fire?!"

"Oh don't be such a worrywart, I think he just wants to say hi." Mabel smiled. "Hey little guy, are you hungry?"

The second head looked at her before it started chewing on her sweater sleeve.

"Oh! Why of course you can have a taste you silly goose, hahaha." She chuckled with amusement.

"Mabel, no! What if it's saliva is acidic or something?!" spoke Dipper quickly pulling her back from the goat which got off the bed and casually walked out of the room.

"Relax Dipper. You gotta try and relax. If we're gonna be here all summer, it'll be bad if you get all wound up before the days even over."

"But...what if something happens, there's so much we don't know!"

"Well, you won't learn anything sulking in here, right? You'll probably learn more about the town and some secrets if you go into town~" She sang with a smile making Dipper look down and hold his chin.

"Well….I guess you're right."

"Great, now let's go!" She called as she grabbed his arm and dragged him to the door.

"Woah!"

(Later)

"Wow, this is amazing." Mabel said as she and Dipper walked down the street in town.

"I guess if you wanna call it that." he remarked, both of them seeing the town as a normal looking small town….other than the numerous odd people...er, creatures, going about their day like everything was fine. There also seemed to be a large number of doors on buildings from ones that looked big enough to fit a semi truck to some that looked like doggie doors. "Let's just try not to make ourselves stick out too-"

"Hi! I'm Mabel!" Mabel said, walking up to the closest figure she saw, a girl with her legs being a long yellow snake tail, her hair multiple snakes and her eyes serpentine. "Me and Dipper just got here, what's your name?"

The girl looked at Mabel with an unimpressed look with her hands on her hips. "Pacifica, and...what's with you?"

"Well me and my brother are here to visit our Grunkle Stan for the whole summer and wanted to check out the town."

"Wait, you two are...human?" She asked, looking her up and down before looking over at Dipper. "Nice try, I don't buy it."

"What? What's wrong?" Asked Dipper after walking over.

"You two aren't human, no regular humans come this far into town, they all stop at that weird tourist trap then leave." she rolled her eyes with her snake hair doing the same. "If you think I'm gonna fall for that, you're desperate for a reaction."

"It's true, me and my bro are all the way human." Mabel grabbed her own cheeks and stretched them out. "See? No mask."

"Please, you can't be human, it's not possible." She said as she shook her head. "Who are you two really?"

"I know it seems weird, and out of place, but she speaks the truth." spoke up Dipper while covering his and Mabel's eyes with his hands. "You're probably too busy, we'll leave you be, let's go Mabel."

"Hey, it's not funny anymore! And stop covering your eyes, I don't turn people to stone!" hissed the girl with Mabel pushing her brother's hand away.

"It's true! But I gotta ask, what's it like having all those snakes on your head? Do they have names? Oh! Are they like your pets? Do they sleep when you sleep or wake you up in the middle of the night?"

"Ugh, that's it, there's only one way to get the truth out of you!" She hissed as her eyes began to turn into a swirl of colors as she stared into Mabel's. "Tell me what kind of monster you are!"

Mabel lost her smile and went slack with Dipper going wide eyed.

"Hey! Stop that!"

"After I hear the tru-"

"We're human...we just arrived an hour ago…." Mabel droned out, making Pacifica freeze. "Our Grunkle Stan is a gargoyle…."

"Wait, seriously? Real humans?!"

"Yes, now fix my sister!" Dipper demanded, covering his eyes.

Pacifica frowned and snapped her fingers, making Mabel to snap out of it with her eyes returning to normal.

"Whoa, that was so weird...and cool!"

"Well it was nice meeting you, gotta do it real soon, bye!" spoke Dipper quickly before dragging Mabel away.

"Hey, get back here! We weren't done talking!" She hissed as she began to chase after them.

(Later)

Dipper panted, having ducked into an alley and making sure the weird snake girl didn't find them while covering his sister's mouth, just in case. "I knew something like this would happen, it's dangerous here Mabel, you can't just go up to the first person you see and say hi!"

"I was just trying to be friendly."

"Yeah, and you wound up hypnotized by a gorgon! We're lucky she didn't turn us to stone."

"She said she couldn't do that, remember?"

"What if she was lying?!" He cried out. "All it takes is one look in the eyes and bam! Garden statue."

"Dipper, you're being paran-"

"No I'm not, for once we have to be cautious Mabel!" he cut her off.

"And friendly! How are we supposed to go through the whole summer without showing them we're friendly? So it was one person we got off on a rocky start with, that doesn't mean the next one won't be better." She said with a smile. "You're gonna have to take chances here Dipper...besides, how else will you learn more about this place without talking to anyone?"

"I'm sure they have a library somewhere around here. If I sneak into it at night I could find plenty of history of this place."

"Come on, you don't need some dirty old library, you just need to talk to people...like that guy in the garbage bin!"

"The what now?" He said as Mabel pointed in front of them to show a strange figure in a pair of overalls digging through the trash, they seemed to have green skin and large ears and eyes, and strangely enough a raccoon tail poking out of their overalls. "Something tells me we should just head back to the shack."

"Yehehe, Old Mcgukit is gonna eat good tonight!" The creature chuckled as it pulled out a moldy chicken bone.

"Hey there!"

"Mabel wait!" spoke up Dipper as his sister walked over.

"Huh?" the creature said as it turned around and spotted Mabel. "Howdy there!"

"Hi, I'm Mabel, this is my brother Dipper, we're new around here."

"Well garsh, if you're new here, then I suppose you two youngters are human, right?" he asked as Mabel nodded. "Well if that ain't just the biggest hootinanie around, then my name ain't old man Mcgukit."

"Yeah, you already said that." Spoke Dipper.

"I did? Well shoot, I ain't never been quite right up there ya know?" He chuckled. "Now then, you two been safe around here, right? Ain't exactly safe around here for humans who don't know what they're doin'!"

"What do you mean?" Dipper asked, getting a bad feeling.

"Well, since we all changed some of us ain't normal no more, and now things are strange, back before I changed I was good with my hands, but now? I can look at anything and know how to fix, build or disassemble it, I think I'm a gremlin!" he chuckled. "Also I can do this!" he said as he put a rail thin hand on the nearby brick wall and gently pushed, making a deep indent.

"Ooooh." Mabel let out with Dipper stunned.

"Wait, but aren't gremlins known to rip planes apart?"

"Don't know, all I knows is that I can make anything out of scrap. Why just this morning I made a raccoon steam powered shoe polisher that could capture fish."

"...how would that even work?"

"I don't quite know!" The gremlin laughed, slapping his knee. "Welp, I gotta go, this breakfast ain't gonna eat itself. Good luck you two, you're gonna need it." he put the bone in his mouth before scurrying off on all fours like a raccoon.

"What did he mean by that?" Dipper asked, getting a bad feeling.

"Don't know, but he sure was funny." Mabel said with a chuckle. "I like this place Dipper, everyone here is so nice!"

"Remember Pacifica?"

"She's not so bad."

He groaned and rubbed his forehead. "Ok look, how about you let me pick the next person we go up and greet?"

"Ugh, fine, if you say so." Mabel pouted.

With that he felt a little bit better as they walked out of the alley with him looking around for the perfect person that didn't seem too off. 'Too tall, too scary, that's clearly a zombie...there! Perfect!'

He started walking with Mabel following. "Excuse me, sir? Could we have a moment of your time?"

The person turned, showing it was a rather pale looking boy around their age, a light blue suit with what looked like a cape, and white hair that looked almost like a powdered wig with dimples on his cheeks, holding up an umbrella.

"Why hello, I don't reckon I've seen you two before, have I?" he asked in a high pitched voice.

"No, me and my sister are new around town."

"Well fascinating! Say, you two wouldn't be human by any chance, would you? Or at the very least the beautiful woman next to you?" He asked, laying on the flattery.

"Oh, why thank you." giggled Mabel with Dipper clearing his throat.

"Uh, I'm Dipper, this is Mabel, and yeah, we're humans."

"Amazing! You two wouldn't happen to be free later tonight for dinner, would you? It's been so long since me and my family have had guests over." he offered with a smile making the two look at each other.

"Well, I don't see why not." started Dipper.

"Excellent, then I'll see you the-gah!" The small boy said before suddenly a broom smacked him away from Dipper and Mabel.

"Alright, that's enough of that. Scram Gideon." Growled Stan as he landed between he kids, broom in hand. "Look for some other suckers to lure back home for dinner you flying rat!"

Gideon let out a hiss while showing he had sharp fangs before getting the broom to the face which made him poof and turn into a bat before flying off. "I'll remember this Stanford!"

"You better you half rate vampire!"

"Vampire?!" The twins let out with wide eyes as Stan turned to them.

"The cape didn't give it away?"

"Well, uh...I didn't…"

"Kids, listen, not everyone in this town is safe, after the change some of them gained new diets, Gideon is just an example." Stan said with a sigh. "That being said, he's the only one who hasn't found a healthy and safe alternative like everybody else has, so he's kind of an outcast now."

"But he seemed so nice." Pouted Mabel.

"Would you have followed him home if he was cursing at you and being a jerk?' Stan asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No."

"Well there you go then, he was only nice because he was hungry."

"So when he asked us over to dinner, it was us?!" paled Dipper.

"Bingo." Stan said as the twins paled. "Luckily for you he's the most dangerous person who's turned, and he's relatively harmless...that being said, there's more than just changed people in this town, turns out the forest is full of weird and strange creatures, and once they realized we've changed some of them have been coming into town."

"Is there anything that HASN'T been changed?!"

"Buildings, roads, food, light bulbs-"

"That's not what I meant!"

"Then no kid, everything and everyones been changed in a five mile radius of gravity falls, you two are the only normal people in this town." he remarked.

"This is...a lot to take in."

"Well you'll have all summer to do so...by the way, carry garlic, Gideon's allergic."

"I gotta get something to write notes in. And a pen. I need to write all of this down." muttered Dipper to himself.

"Whatever kid, now come on, you two go a busy summer ahead of you!"

(Later)

"Wendy! I need advice!" Called Mabel running into the shack, where Wendy was currently reading a magazine and not paying attention to the customers.

"What is it?" She called, not taking her eyes off the magazine.

"I gotta ask you, how'd you manage to get a boyfriend? I wanna get a summer romance with a boy or else I'll go nuts!"

"Huh, well… I don't really know how to help you with this one...what about uh… one of the tourists?" She suggested, sounding unsure.

"Oh come on Wendy, you have to have some advice, haven't you had a summer romance yet?"

"Well, I guess it just sorta happened. When me and Robbie got together, it just...sorta did." She said with a shrug before sighing. "But then he fully changed and well, I had to cut it off."

"Is it because he wanted to eat your brain?"

"Yeah, kinda, also the smell was just too much." She said with a sigh as she scratched the back of her neck. "The best thing I'd say is try to keep an open mind and don't go for any uptight jerks."

"Alright, thanks!" She said before pausing. "Uh, Wendy...is your neck supposed to be green?"

"What are you talking about?" She asked before pausing. "No….no no no no no!" She said as she dropped the magazine and rushed to the bathroom. "Damn it!"

"Wendy?" Mabel followed her and put an ear next to the door. "Wendy, are you ok?"

"No! It's finally happening, the full change! Damn it!" She groaned.

"But I thought you were already all changed?"

"No, I have one last step, my skin's gonna change, I'll be green!" She groaned.

"Oh, well that's not so bad." admitted Mabel.

"It's not just that, after someones fully changes the new instinct kicks in and it SUCKS!" Wendy groaned. "I knew I should have just skipped work today."

"It can't be that bad, can it? What's the worst that could happen?"

Wendy poked her head back out. "When Robby changed, I had to wack his head off his body four times when he started craving my noggin'."

"Oh…..well uh… that won't happen to you, right? You're not a zombie?"

"No, but I know it won't be good." She groaned while rubbing at the spot as she let out a low growl. "Go get Stan, I'm gonna go home early."

"Ok, you got it!" She said as she raced off to find Stan, right as Dipper began to head to the bathroom.

He was jotting down some new notes he had been trying to organize while in the bathroom Wendy tossed her hat to the side and felt her body burning.

She groaned as she felt her body changing, with her growing two extra feet in height as her skin began to quickly change into a dark green color. Her hands started growing claws with her teeth becoming more sharp, but nothing too big, and her shirt and jeans started to tear slightly from the increase of muscle. "D-Damn it….why did I think this wouldn't happen?"

The door opened with Dipper entering, but bumped into something. "Oh, sorry about-Wendy?!" He cried as he looked up at his friend, who was hunched up in the bathroom as she gritted her teeth. "Are you ok?!"

"NO!" she let out in a deep growl by accident, breaking the sink off when she grabbed it too hard. "Dipper ... Get out...of here!"

"Wendy, what's going on, what's happening to you?!" He asked, transfixed at the sight and also too worried to move.

"Changing...last step...go!" She groaned as she opened her eyes and looked down at him.

Dipper gulped as Wendy stared down at him, realizing she was even taller than usual and took off out of the bathroom. "A-Are you going to be ok Wendy?" he called, only to hear a loud crash as the door came off its hinges. 'I'll take that as a no!'

"Dipper….come back!" Groaned Wendy as she pulled herself out of the bathroom. She growled and started running after him, not bothering to open the door to the shack and barged right through, going after him as he booked it down the road.

"AAAAHHHHHH!" He cried out in fear. "Wendy, snap out of it!" He glanced back and saw her charging after him, making him really run as he tried throwing his notebook back.

"RAAAGH!" She roared, gaining on him fast.

Dipper looked around for something to either distract her, or stop her altogether. 'Wendy's a troll, right? What do trolls like?!' He thought before spotting a bridge up ahead. 'That's it!' with a plan in mind he aimed right for the bridge. "Come on Wendy! I'm right here!"

"AUGH!" She roared, swinging her arms out to grab him.

"Woah!" luckily Dipper was too short and ducked from the hands. "Look Wendy, a bridge!" he called as he pointed forward, making her eyes widen. "Don't you wanna go under it?"

She began to slow down, forgetting Dipper as he turned off and saw her keep running towards it and right under it before she stopped. She chuckled as she looked around, a grin on her face.

'Huh, I guess the tale of the three billy goats gruff has some credibility.' he thought as he stopped. He took a moment to catch his breath, glad she was calm before making his way back to the shack. 'Glad I dodged that bullet, I hope Wendy will be ok though.'

(Later)

"Man, I did NOT mean to do that." Sighed Wendy, now under control and cleaning up the mess she made with Dipper lending hand. "All I remember was trying to keep it together, the next thing I know I'm chilling under a bridge. Sorry if I wasn't myself dude."

"It's fine, it was just a one time thing….out of curiosity, what would you have done if you caught me?' he asked as Wendy paled.

"Well, uh….according to dad there are a few things that would have happened, Trolls ARE known to kidnap people and uh...let's just say it would have been bad and embarrassing in the end."

Dipper blushed as both of them didn't look at the other, but he did glance up at her hair. "Uh, you know, I think you look good without the hat, n-not that it was bad when you have it on!"

"Thanks dude, though it's not like a hat will fit me now.' She sighed, rubbing her new large horns. "Eh, maybe I'll order a new one online, after Stan doesn't cut my pay to fix the damages."

"We told him it was a Manotaur." Dipper said as she grinned.

"Thanks dude." she patted his head while he blushed a little. 'Nice kid, if he was a few years old- no, bad troll brain, bad!'

"Heh, no problem." He smiled.

(Few days later)

"And over here we have the mysterious and horrifying SheBat!" Called Stan, gesturing a crowd of tourists over to what looked like a stuff bat wearing a fake wig and a bra.

"Oooooh." they let out, completely ignoring the fact the wig looked like it was hastily glued on.

'Hehe, suckers.' He thought with a small chuckle. 'This just gets easier and easier.' "And if you'll turn your attention to our latest attraction, you will see it's the one of a kind, rare, and extremely real, Little Mermaid!"

"Hi!" Waved Mabel, who was currently in a fish tank with a fake seafoam green tail over her legs with a shell in her hair, and for some reason still wearing her sweater. "I'm from the ocean, glub glub!"

"Wow!" The crowd said as they rushed to take pictures.

"Any pictures cost extra! If you wanna get a photo right up close, it'll cost double that." He called with a grin. "And this isn't all folks, around the corner I have another oddity I've captured, the rare and usual, exotic and strange, snake boy!"

They turned over to what looked like a sandbox with Dipper sitting there with his arms crossed, with a fake snake tail going over his legs, with slitted contact lens.

"Hiss." He let out in a tone that showed he did NOT wanna be here.

"Yep, this is a rare, one of a kind specimen, I guarantee you will never, ever see something like this again!" Smiled Stan with confidence while behind the crowd was Pacifica.

'Ugh, what are these idiot humans gawking at now? Did that stone buffoon manage to lure another gnome in here?' She thought while staring at her phone. 'Why did I even come here anyway? I should be back at home getting my tail massaged.'

"That's right folks, just five dollars to get a picture with the mermaid, and ten for one with the snake boy!"

'Snake boy?' She thought, looking up from her phone. 'What snake boy?'

"Yup, why I'm so confident he's the only one of his kind, I dare anyone to say otherwise."

'The only one of his kind?' She frowned and pushed through the crowd. "Out of the way, watch it, I'm rich."

"Hey, watch i- hey, a snake girl!" Called one of the tourists, making Stan and Dipper freeze.

'Not her…' Dipper thought as Stan sweated.

'What's she doing here, she never comes here, crap am I gonna have to pay one of these suckers money?'

When she got to the front her eyes widened. "You...YOU!"

"Um….hi?"

"What are you doing with that stupid costume on?!"

"W-What costume, this here is a real genuine snake boy!" Stan said quickly.

"No, I know for a fact that dork and her sister are humans."

"Uh ... .um, well…." Stan started before grinning. "Yes folks, it's true, this snake boy is fake...because he was bait to lure out his girlfriend, a real snake girl!"

"Ooooh."

"What?!" Dipper and Pacifica cried as Stan pushed them together with a grin.

"Yep, it's the old classic story, beauty and the beast, but who is the beast in this couple?' Stan called, the crowd clapping.

"Gross! I am NOT this loser's girlfriend!"

"Uh-oh folks, it seems like these two are going through a rough patch!"

"Stan what are you doing?" whispered Dipper in panic.

"I'm making sure I don't have to give a refund, now kiss the snake girl." he whispered with Pacifica's hair hissing at both of them.

"Try it and I will END YOU!"

"For the record this is not my fault, this is all Stan's idea."

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" The crowd chanted, making both Dipper and Pacifica blush.

"Not on your lives!" She cried out with a hiss. "I'm leaving now!"

"Awwww." the crowd and Mabel groaned.

"Sorry folks, I guess you'll have to come back another day to see the two love birds kiss."

"NEVER going to happen you decrepit lawn ornament." Pacifica hissed as she began to slither away.

"How about I give you a gerbil?" Stan called as she hissed in annoyance.

"I can buy and SELL you old man!" She called as she shook her head. 'Honestly why would he think I'd be willing to kiss Dipper….I-I mean that stupid human!'

She slithered out with the tourists turning to Stan with frowns.

"We want out money back, she didn't kiss him!"

"Uh...uh….WENDY! Get in here!"

"Can't, on break." She called, making him groan.

"Damn it…."

"You said he was a one of a kind snake boy!"

"I said he was bait to get his snake girlfriend here, and besides, no refunds!" He spoke before jumping through the window and took off running before they took off after him.

"God, I can't believe he tried to get me and Pacifica to kiss…" Dipper groaned, taking off the snake costume.

"I know, and me without having my camera too." Mabel sighed.

"..Mabel, are you ok in there?"

"Yeah why?"

"Well, you're in a fishtank, how are you breathing?"

Mabel blinked before popping out from the top. "I don't know, I guess I'm so good at holding my breath I didn't notice."

"I...I guess?" Dipper said, still unsure. 'Maybe I'm overthinking it.'

"But now I know what I'm gonna do~" she gave a smile while holding her cheeks. "Find a summer love for me, and you~"

"...no, no no no nope no no no." he spoke up while taking the fake tail off and walked off. "Not happening."

"Come on Dipper, it'll be fun! I think you might have a chance with Pacifica~"

"Nope!" He called back firmly. "Forget everything that happened today!"

"Never!" Mabel called as she began to climb out of the tank. "NEVER!"

(Later)

"Surrender child!"

"Not happening." frowned Dipper, looking at a small gnome with a beard, currently standing on a table with him sitting down. "I've waited too long for this to just give it up."

"You have no ideas the power you are messing with. The gnomes are a powerful race! Do not try and-woah!" he let out as Dipper picked him up by the hat and put him on the floor. "Hey!"

"I'm not gonna fight you over my pie again." Dipper rolled his eyes before taking a bite out of his pie, shown he was at the diner while his sister was braiding some other gnome's hairs.

"You will rue the day you messed with me. Rue it!" he declared shaking his fists while an older woman in a pink outfit and apron over it, with an eye closed and wearing a red hat similar to his own walked over.

"Are you giving a customer trouble again? What have I told you young man?"

"But my queen! The pie!"

"Hey! I told you and the others you'd get plenty of pie later. I already made plenty to last you overnight." She said with a frown. "And in exchange you agreed to not bother the customers and work in the diner, remember? Why aren't you washing dishes?"

"Well uh...you see my hands got soapy and… I just really wanted pie?" He said sheepishly.

"March on back there and start cleaning. And I mean with soap and water, no getting the squirrels to lick them clean this time."

"Hey, it is a completely normal thing, it's not weird at all!"

"Yes, it is, and it's unsanitary!"

He puffed out his cheeks and walked past her while Dipper shook his head.

"Ever considered giving them something less sweet? Kinda looks like they might have a problem."

"Nah, it's just how they are, they hate everything else except gopher flesh, and I can't afford that!" She shook her head before smiling. "They're real sweet though, can't get enough of my famous crow pie."

Dipper blinked slowly and looked at his pie as she walked away before he slowly pushed it away with Mabel plopping down across from him.

"So, what do you wanna do today Dipper?"

"Skip on the pie?" He remarked bluntly before Mabel saw it and started gobbling it up without using her hands, making him turn green. "Ugh, Mabel, use a fork, come on!"

"Sorry, but Mabel needs pie!" She let out while some of it dripped down her cheeks before she licked it up with a hum as Dipper sighed.

"I mean something fun and not so...wacky."

"Wacky? Dipper, everything here is wacky and it's amazing!" Mabel said with a smile. "Don't you like it here?"

"It's not that I don't, it's just that I feel like there could be more going on. Like...I don't know, some conspiracy going on that explains how it all got started. Like we should be hunting for clues, maybe from something with notes. Like...from a journal, or two."

"Come on Dipper, that sounds kinda silly, and that's coming from me." She said as she rolled her eyes.

"Come on, I'm serious, there has to be a logical explanation on why everyone started changing, there just has to be!" he threw his hands up. "Was it some weird disease? Something in the water supply? Some weird mutation from spores? Or maybe something out of this world."

"Dipper, I think we both know what the real answer is. Magic." Mabel said with a nod.

"Mabel, magic isn't real." Replied Dipper before his sister stood up on her seat.

"Of course there is! If there's one thing TV's taught me, it's that you don't end up famous in front of millions unless all those magic tricks they show are real."

"Mabel, it's all tricks, sleight of hand, trap doors and so o- no, you are not dragging me into this conversation again!" he shook his head quickly. "I'm just gonna stand by what I say and look at this from a scientific point of view."

"Ok Mr. Science guy, if you can explain everything tell me this, how come we haven't changed yet? If everyone in town is changing and we're living in town how come we haven't changed yet too?"

"Well….maybe it's a slow acting sorta thing." He tried to guess with her chuckling.

"Or maybe you just don't wanna admit the truth. Magic!"

"Mabel, no, there has to be a real explanation!" he declared, crossing his arms. "And I'm gonna find out what it is."

"Tell me when you find a way to turn me into a flying unicorn mermaid!"

(Later)

"For the last time no, Mabel and Dipper aren't for sale at the gift shop." Stan sighed in annoyance.

"Come on, my price is pretty reasonable."

"For the last time no Gideon, you can't buy them! Do I have to get out the spray bottle full of garlic water again?" He frowned at the tiny vampire who frowned and let out a small hiss of annoyance. "That's it, Soos! Get the broom!"

"You'll regret this!" declared Giden as Soos came out and tried sweeping him away as the vampire hissed and went crawling up the wall and out the door.

"I doubt it, annoying flying rat." Frowned Stan as Soos put the broom away. "Soos, make sure to hang up extra garlic around, that little brat might try something."

"You got it Mr. Pines!" He called with a salute. As he headed off to the kitchen, Mabel and Dipper ran into the shack.

"Stan! I have to know, did you experience any weird symptoms before you changed? Did you eat anything off? Or see any weird lights in the sky? Or-"

"Whoa, whoa, calm down kid, what are you talking about?" He called as Dipper gasped for breath.

"How did you change?!"

"How did I change? Well, it didn't just happen kid, I just woke up one day with my skin feeling rougher, after a few months it began to turn grey, and then one day I woke up with horns and a tail."

"But there must have been signs that something was happening. Something out of the ordinary. Did you do or see anything that wasn't normally here?" asked Dipper as Stan looked up and had a brief flashback of a large triangle glowing.

"Nope, not a single thing, everything was all hunky dorey, nothing out of the ordinary here." He said quickly, shaking his head. "Why are you so curious?"

"Because Dipper won't listen when I tell him it's magic."

"Because it is-"

"It's magic kid, don't worry about it." Stan cut him off quickly.

"What? But Stan, don't tell me you honestly believe that."

"Kid, I'm a gargoyle now, everyone else in town is some other kind of strange creature, can science explain that?"

"Well some cases have shown people who develop rare skin that's rough like rock."

"Well did they also have sharp claws and big wings? No? Then there ya go, it's magic." He said as Dipper groaned. "Trust me kid, you won't fully understand until you end up changing, but I doubt that'll happen." He said with a shrug.

"If it does, can I be a flying unicorn mermaid?"

"Kid, we don't get to choose what we change into, it just happens, for all you know you could end up turning into a slug girl."

"Oooh, then I could go all over walls and ceilings without getting in trouble about making a mess."

"Wow, there's not much that can bum you out, is there kid?"

"Stan, you let her have a grappling hook remember?"

"Oh yeah… anyway kid, there is no real explanation on how this change thing works, sorry."

"Then I guess I'll have to figure it out myself." He said confidently as Stan chuckled.

"Good luck kid, good luck." He thought with a snicker. 'Like he's gonna find out anything.'

"I'll show you, I'll find out the truth!"

(Later)

"Candy, left tentacle green."

"Alright!" Called a small purple girl who seemed to be made completely of tentacles as she maneuvered two of the tentacles onto the green spot. "Ha! I am undefeatable."

"Ok, Grenda, left hand red."

"I'm on it!" Spoke a red headed girl who had a surprisingly deep voice with red scales and claws who stretched her hand out through Candy's tentacles and touched the spot.

"Nice, now Dipper… come on Dipper, join us!"

"Too busy." he spoke while jotting down something in a small notebook.

"Come on, you need to have some fun!"

"Yeah, there's still space for a third person. I mean, if you suck in your breath a little." Grenda called as he shook his head no.

"Sorry, I'm too busy!"

"Dipper!" Mabel groaned in annoyance. "You're starting to sound like those worry warts who just do homework all day."

"Hey, just because I'd rather research the anomalies of this town than play with you doesn't make it a bad thing!" He frowned. "I feel I'm really close to cracking the mystery."

"Dipper, come on, the mystery isn't going anywhere!"

"Yeah, the only place you should be going is over here." Mabel said with a pout. "Join us, join us, join us!"

"Join us, join us, join us!" Candy and Grenda joined in.

Dipper sighed as they chanted together. "If I play one round, then can I get back to my notes?"

"Fine, just join us!"

"Well….fine, just for one round though!" he set the book aside and walked over as Mabel hit the spinner.

"Alright, right foot blue!"

Dipper rubbed his hands together and carefully put his foot on a blue spot. 'Should I just 'lose' quick to end the round and get back to work?'

"Candy, left tentacle on red."

"Got it!" She called as she reached out several tentacles,a few looping around Dipper's foot.

"Grenda, tail on orange."

"Right!" She called as she maneuvered her tail, which pushed against Dipper's chest.

"Ok Dipper, left hand green!"

Dipper moved his hand out and touched the spot, finding it awkward due to the tail.

"Alright, Candy, right tentacle purple!"

Candy slithered a few tentacles past Dipper's cheek and around his waist before landing them on the spot.

"Ok, Grenda, left hand purple!"

"Got it!" she called as she tried to reach past Dipper, barely managing to touch the circle. "Hold on, I almost got it."

"Ok, while you do that let's see...Dipper, left foot on blue!"

Dipper moved his foot over, but barely managed to get it around some of Candy's tentacles. "Uh, Mabel? I don't think I can keep this up."

"Oh don't worry, you just gotta really stretch. Candy, right tentacle on green."

"Ok!" She called, moving another tentacle. This went on for a little longer until Dipper felt like he was being crushed by Grenda and restrained by a web of tentacles.

"Ugh, Mabel? I can't move." he groaned out.

"Just try, you're doing great!"

'Easy for you to say.' He thought with a groan. 'I should have just tripped in the beginning!'

"Alright, Candy, right tentacle on purple."

"Ok!" She said with a smile as she moved another tentacle, brushing up against Dipper enough to where he began to lose his balance.

"Going down!" He cried as he fell down, dragging Grenda and Candy with him.

"Ooof! I call foul!" Grenda called with a frown.

"Sorry, you all lose because of Dipper."

"I was going to beat my record." groaned Candy.

"Well, that wasn't fun, have fun without me." Dipper groaned.

"Aw come on Dipper, we gotta have a winner."

"Then just call me a loser and have Candy and Grenda decide."

"But that's no fun."

"Well I'm not doing that again, sorry." He made it firmly clear before walking away.

"Party Pooper!"

(Later)

Dipper yawned as the sun began to shine on his eyes. He rubbed them and grumbled, not feeling like getting up. 'I wonder if I could stay in bed all day…' He thought as he tried to close his eyes again. But that's when he noticed something felt off. He frowned as he began to cautiously lift his hands up and slowly began to feel around before noticing his ears seemed to be missing, and as he felt further up he felt two soft appendages pointing out of the sides of his head.

'Please tell me this is just me imagining things.' He thought as he cautiously began to get out of bed to check in the mirror. 'This is a dream, I'm still sleeping, it's all a nightmare.'

But as soon as he got out of the bed, he fell down due to lack of proper balance. "Ugh, what the heck?" he said as he looked down in confusion only to freeze. He was looking at a set of four fur covered legs, with hooves. He gasped as he looked at them, turning around to see it was true with two still on the bed, the legs brown with white spots on them.

"A...a…..AAAAAHHHHHHH!" he screamed out loud enough to make the house shake a little.

"Shut up Dipper and get down here, your shift starts in ten minutes!"

"I HAVE HOOVES!"

"Huh?' Stan called as he began to make his way upstairs. He soon reached the room and his eyes widened as he saw Dipper. "Holy cow!"

"H-How did this happen?!" Dipper cried out, trying to avoid looking at his new appendages.

"Well uh...magic?" Stan said with a worried smile. "Hey kid, um….do you wanna take the morning off for now, get adjusted to your legs and ears?"

"I-wait, ears?!"

"Yeah, you got two deer ears kid, fits with the whole look I guess."

"Wha-no!" Dipper groaned. "This couldn't possibly get worse!"

"Mmm….quiet….need sleep…." Groaned Mabel from her bed.

"Mabel, wake up, you need to work Dipper's shift, he just started changing."

"Five more minutes…."

"Up and atem Mabe-" Stan called, pulling off her blanket only to freeze. "...Well Dipper, at least you still have legs…"

"Oh my gosh! Mabel wake up!"

"Dipper! I need sleep!" groaned the girl opening her eyes with a frown.

"Your legs!"

"What about th-" She started only to realize she couldn't feel them. She blinked and looked down, only to scream when she saw she had a pink scaled fish tail flopping on the bed. "AAAAHHHH! Why do I have a tail?!"

"You've changed too!" Dipper cried out, making her look at him and scream once more.

"You're a cute deer now!" she pointed at him while it was shown she had matching fins on the sides of her head. "With a bushy tail too!"

"Shut up, you just have a fishtail now!" He fired back as Stan groaned.

'Fuck, I thought they wouldn't change, it took everyone else years to change….but then again these two have been sleeping on top of the portal for weeks, they might as well been curled up against a nuclear reactor.' Thought Stan who cleared his throat. "You know, I'll just get Wendy to pull in over time while you two try not to fall over yourselves."

"Stan, i-isn't there a way to fix this?" Dipper asked nervously, trying to stand upright.

"If there is I haven't seen anything." He said with a shrug. "Just stay up here now you two, you need to rest and get adjusted."

"No, I'm not gonna sit around, there might be a time limit before this is permanent!" Dipper declared, making his way to the door.

"I wouldn't recommend that, but knock yourself out kid." Stan said with a shrug.

"Oh man, I'm a genuine mermaid….I can't decide between terrified or happy." Mabel said as she looked down at herself in amazement.

"Don't worry kid, tomorrow we'll get Soos to make you a wheelchair so you can get around."

(Later)

"Ugh! This is bad, this is bad, this is bad, oh gosh is this bad." Muttered Dipper tugging at his hat as he paced back and forth while Soos changed a bulb.

"It's not that bad little dude, you're doing pretty well for your first change." He said as he finished screwing the bulb in.

"But I can't stay like this! Not with four legs, fur, and a bushy tail. I look ridiculous."

"You look fine dude, besides, I think Wendy would like how you look." He said as Dipper groaned.

"I can't let anyone else see me like this, it's humiliating!"

"Look on the bright side, now you can run much faster. I heard deer can outrun a normal person easy."

"I can barely walk without tripping over my own le-wah!" Dipper cried, once again falling down as he mis-timed a step. "Ow, see?"

"Well uh… gosh, I guess it could be worse?" Soos suggested. "Do you need some help dude?"

"No, no I gotta get up on my own." he groaned, pushing himself up and trying to get balanced. "Besides, I can only imagine how much harder it is for Mabel."

"Wheeeeee!" Mabel cheered, wheeling past Dipper with a grin on a strange wheelchair that seemed to fit her new tail. "Out of the way for Princess Mabel, super mermaid!"

"Something tells me she's adjusting batter." Soos chuckled.

"Wait, did Mabel say she's a mermaid now?" Called Wendy from another room, making Dipper pale.

"Oh no! Soos hide me!"

"On it!" he quickly moved in front of Dipper right as Wendy walked in.

"Hey Soos, did you hear Mabel just now?"

"Yeah, she went into that room." He said as he pointed to the room behind him.

"Did she actually have a tail or was this one of Stan's scams?"

"Nope, it's real, they changed last night."

"Oh w-wait, they? As in both?"

"Oh! Uh...well ya see what I meant was…." Soos trailed off as Wendy frowned.

"Soos, you can tell me the truth, we're friends, right?"

"Of course."

"Then just tell me, did Mabel AND Dipper change, or was it just Mabel?"

"I….well….uh….."

"Soos, get in here, I need help stocking the gift shop!"

"Coming Mr. Pines!" He called as he turned to leave, momentarily forgetting the reason he was standing so still before.

"Soos wait!" Dipper cried out as the handyman rushed off, making him freeze and slowly turn to see Wendy looking at him in surprise. "Um….hi?"

"Dipper?"

"Yeah, it's me…." he pulled the front of his hat over his face.

"Woah, so that's what you look like changed." She said as she looked him over, slowly approaching him. "Not bad, you look good...kinda cute too." She said as she reached out and picked him up by his deer half.

"I-I-I do?" spoke Dipper with wide eyes and a bright red face.

"Yeah, you kinda remind me of a baby deer."

Dipper instantly felt his pride slip away as Wendy noted his tail and chuckled.

"So, how's it feel?"

"Embarrassing and weird…" He groaned. "I can't even walk straight without tripping over myself."

'Just like a baby deer.' She thought as she tried not to snicker. "Well, it's your first change, it happens, but I gotta say, I'm surprised you came out looking like this."

"You're telling me. If I knew I was gonna change, I would have at least tried to see if I had some choice in the matter. Or to see if there was some kind of pattern to show me HOW everyone changed in so many different ways."

"Sorry Dipper, but it wouldn't have helped, the process is completely random, the only way to guarantee what you'll turn into is to have your parents give birth to you after you change, then you're guaranteed what you'll be." She said with a shrug. 'I wonder if he tastes of venison….no! Bad Troll brain!'

"Weeeee!" let out Mabel zipping on back and going around Wendy's legs. "Check me out Wendy!"

"Huh? Well damn, looking good Mabel!" She called out with a grin. "Not even 16 and you can already drive? Might have to get tips from you." she joked.

"I'm unstoppable!" Mabel laughed as she wheeled away.

"At least one of us is having fun…. Hey Wendy, can you set me down?"

"Oh, sorry dude." she set Dipper down gently while Mabel stopped the wheelchair.

"This is the greatest thing in my life! I think I'll call her….Grezilda."

"How are you so happy about this, you lost your legs!" Dipper cried out, starting to pace back and forth once more. "You have a giant fish leg for goodness sake, and...wait, don't you need water?"

"For what?"

"To breath. As in, what fish do in water."

"Aw come on Dipper, I've felt just-" she was cut off when she gasped and grabbed at her neck. "Losing….air….can't….breath!"

"Ah! She needs to get into some water!"

"I got her!" Wendy called as she grabbed Mabel and rushed her to the bathroom. She ripped the sink off by accident, causing the faucet to gush out with Mabel getting a face full of the water, who gasped in relief and smiled.

"Oh yeah, that's the stuff, thanks Wendy."

"No problem, I guess you just gotta be wet every now and then."

"Oh! Does this mean I get to have a fish friend I can ignore all the time?"

"I think Dipper's already got that covered." Wendy said with a chuckle. "So, what do you think of the new change?"

"I don't know. On one hand I can't run around as much as I want, but on the other I can zoom around on a cool wheelchair." Mabel grinned as Wendy chuckled.

"Well, at least you're happy, and hey, maybe Gideon will leave you alone now, he's allergic to fish."

"He is? Oh thank goodness." she sighed with a smile.

"Yeah, though between you and me I'm kinda worried about Dipper, he doesn't seem to be reacting well to the change, plus the whole being part deer thing can be dangerous in this town…"

"You're right. Who knows how many people will wanna touch his bushy tail."

"Yeah….that and there are a few carnivores too, he's not exactly at the top of the food chain." Wendy said with a nervous chuckle.

"Oh come on, it's not going to be that bad." Mabel said as she rolled her eyes.

"Keep telling yourself that, but you might wanna keep on your t...uh, tail just to be on the safe side." Wendy said as she turned to leave. "I gotta get back to work, have fun, and be prepared to be part of more of Stan's schemes in the shack!"

"Ok!" she gave a thumbs up as Wendy left before it clicked and she groaned. "Oh great."

"Wendy, why is the ceiling dripping?! It's melting the rock candy people exhibit!"

"Had to get Mabel some water now that she's got gills."

"Oh, ok…" He called. "Hey, where's Dipper?"

(Later)

"I think I'm starting to get the hang on having four legs." Dipper said as he walked through the giftshop, trying to ignore the tourists taking pictures.

"And I can handle using this sweet sweet chair without falling off." Mabel called, her voice a bit garbled due to the mask like device over her mouth that had water pumping through it.

"And it'll keep you from snacking on too many sweets." he joked.

"Jokes on you, I can pour sugar into the water!" She smirked while pouring some sugar into an opening in the mask, causing it to get pumped around the mask while she lapped around it with her tongue.

"Mabel, no, you'll get another cavity!" Dipper groaned. "You're gonna regret that later on in life."

"I'll never stop!" Mabel cackled with a grin.

Dipper rolled his eyes while getting a chill up his spine when he noticed several people they passed by with hungry looks in their eyes. 'What...what is going on? Why are they looking at me like that?'

"Hey Mabel!" Called Greta as she and Candy waved to her. "You changed! You look great!"

"Hey girls! Check out my new ride and tail."

"It looks awesome! Hey, do you wanna come with us? We learned where we can find a unicorn!"

"A unicorn?! Lead the way!" She called as she and her friends raced out of the mystery shack, leaving Dipper alone.

"Sometimes I worry about that girl." He sighed, only to suddenly get the same chill again. 'Maybe I should have gone with her?'

"Hey, aren't you that one human kid?" Called a voice as he felt someone tap him on the shoulder.

"Ah, well uh, yes and no? I used to be a few days ago." He admitted turning to the person.

"So you changed, huh?" remarked a teen older than Dipper with two pals beside him, all of them with green skin and teeth jutting from their lower lips. "Into a deer?"

"I didn't really have much of a choice." He said with a sheepish chuckle, getting a bad feeling. "I guess it was just luck of the draw?"

"I'll bet it feels great don't it?" Asked one as he rubbed his chin. "Four legs, must feel nice, huh?"

"Yeah, when I'm not tripping over them."

"Well we might know a spot where you could really stretch them. You know, some wide open space to run around and get the blood pumping." The third said as she grinned, showing off a row of sharp teeth.

"Really? Well, thank you, but I should really stay here in the shack in case Stan needs me." He said, starting to feel nervous. "Someone's gotta take inventory after all."

"It's cool dude, I got it." Soos called as Dipper gulped as the three teens chuckled.

"Well, it seems you're free now, isn't it?"

"Come on, you'll love it."

"And then afterwards we could grab a bite to eat, our treat." One said as the other two chuckled.

"Well, uh… I guess it couldn't hurt?' He said as the three began to lead him to the door. 'I'm starting to feel like I don't have a choice!'

"Hey Dipper, I need you to get that weird hobo out of the trash cans again." Stan called, making Dipper sigh in relief.

"On it Grunkle Stan!" he called before walking back with the teens frowning. "Sorry guys, maybe next time."

"Oh, I don't think so, grab him!"

Two of them grabbed Dipper and yanked him backwards before they started carrying him out.

"Hey! Let go! Stan!"

"Hey, hands off Dipper! Wendy, sick em!"

"On it!" Wendy let out a roar as she took off after them, busting through the door when it slammed in her face.

"Wendy help!"

"Come on, hurry! We got the food!"

"Food?!" Dipper went wide eyed as they rushed into a car.

"Yeah, you!"

"You can't eat me!"

"Of course we can, we haven't had a fresh deer in months!" Laughed one of the teens as they began to tie Dipper to the hood of the car as one of them distracted Wendy.

"Give back the Dipper or else." Warned Wendy while cracking her knuckles.

"Screw you, we got him first!"

"I warned you." Wendy picked the teen up by the front of his shirt and tossed him to the side like a frisbee before running at the car.

"Go go go go go go!"

"I'm trying!" Growled the one at the wheel as he kept turning the key. "Did you remember to get gas in this thing?"

"Of course, now punch it!" Cried one of the teens as Wendy got closer to the car, right as it began to start.

"Not so fast!" She jumped and landed right on the hood, making it get too weighted down as the tires moved, but the car didn't. She punched through the roof and began peeling it right off like a can, making the teens look up in shock. "Give up the kid or I do the same to your heads."

"H-Hey, maybe we can compromise, maybe we can give you a leg?"

"Hey, aren't you Robbie's girlfriend?"

"...ya know you had me for a sec, but just for that, not anymore." she reached down and yanked them up with ease before pulling her arms back. "Here's a tip, try not to land on your heads."

"Wait wait wait wait!" Cried one before they got tossed out into the forest. "AHHHHHHHHH!"

"Yo Dipper, you alright?"

"I-I've been better! Can you untie me please?"

Wendy got off the car and moved over before easily snapping the ropes off him. "You ok little dude? How did those goblins even get you out here?"

"Kidnap is what it's called. They told me about an open spot to run around in to help me get used to my legs, but they looked off. Like…"

"A starved coyote going after a beaver?"

"Um...kinda?" he said as he scratched the back of his head. "Is that normal?"

"Sounds to me like some people are starting to see you as more of a meal now that you look like Bambi." She said as he paled.

"W-What?!"

"Yeah, sorry dude."

"B- But I can talk, I'm a person!"

"And lots of people around here have got real sharp teeth."

"Oh no, oh no! You mean now all of them are gonna wanna eat me?!"

"Well, kinda? Among other things, normal human morals are kinda gone now."

"Oh come on!" He cried out with his ears drooping. "What about….oh no! Mabel!"

"She'll be fine, or at least I think so? It's pretty weird what kinda monsters people consider to be food."

"This is so unfair!"

"Hey, this process isn't fair Dipper, sorry."

"Ugh...wait, do you...do you consider me to be food?"

Wendy stiffened up before chuckling and shook her head. "Come on dude, it's me. Do I look like I'd go off and chow down on my buds?"

"R-Right, of course not, what was I thinking?" Dipper said as he sighed in relief, missing how Wendy licked her lips.

"Come on, let's get back before Stan has a heart attack." 'Note to self, have a huge lunch away from the shack.'

(Later)

"No, get out of here Pacifica, you can't see Dipper."

"And why not?"She hissed with a frown.

"Because I don't trust you snake girl, what if you try to eat him?"

"Why would I want to eat a human?!"

"Because he's….uh….sick. Yeah, kid's been puking his guts out, ALL day." Fibbed Stan quickly, realizing she didn't know the truth. 'One less crazy monster the better, especially a rich one who could buy and sell us on a whim!'

She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "You're hiding something."

"What? No way, you must be crazy!"

"My snakes say differently."

"Aw come on, who you gonna believe? A bunch of scaly worms on your head, or an honest to goodness business gargoyle?"

"My snakes, and not a cheat and scam artist."

"I resemble that remark thank you very much."

"Enough of this, I demand that you let me see Dipper!"

"Come on kid, don't you got something better to do? Like getting yourself waxed or something?"

"No, I need him to tell me what has been happening in the world, I want to hear it from a human."

"Can't you just find out like any normal person? TV was made for a reason ya know."

"I don't watch TV, that's for poor people, I want to see Dippe-"

"Hey, what's going on? Pacifica?" Called a familiar voice behind Pacifica, making the others groan.

"Finally. Now di-' She started as she turned to him only to pause. Her snakes stood up still as all eyes stared at the ears, deer legs, and bushy tail. "D-D-Deer?"

"Yeah? What's wrong?"

"You're….a deer?"

"Yeah?" He asked as she moved closer. "Uh, Pacifica?"

"Hey! No eating the employees!" Spoke Stan quickly pulling a spray bottle out.

"I am not going to eat him you nincompoop!"

"Oh thank god." sighed Dipper with relief. "Wait, but then why are you here?"

"I uh...I wanted to hear...the news?" She said, trying to remember what she was originally at the shack for.

"You mean changing?"

"Uh...yes." She lied quickly.

"Well I just woke up like this, and...yeah that's pretty much it."

"So...you just woke up like a deer...wow." She said as she looked him over. "How's it...how's it feel?"

"Kinda weird, it's hard to move now with two extra legs." He said before frowning. "Also someone tried to eat me earlier."

"What?! That's horrible!"

"Yeah, they tied me to the hood of their car and everything before Wendy stopped them." He said as Pacifica hissed in anger. 'Huh, I didn't know she cared about what happened to me, maybe I misjudged her?'

"I'm gonna feed them to my hair!" She hissed. "It's clear you aren't safe in this rotting death trap, just anyone can kidnap you!"

"Hey! This is a rotting death trap that's also a business!"

"A business? Please, you're a con man, why I bet you'd sell your own nephew…" She said before trailing off, an idea coming to her.

"I find that offensive. Even I got standards." He said as he crossed his arms.

"Two million." She said, making him pause.

"Huh?"

"Two million. That's how much I'll buy him off you."

"What!?" They cried out as they looked at her in shock.

"Are you trying to buy me?! WHY?!"

"And for two million? I'm insulted!"

"Fine, three million." She said casually.

"I'm literally right here!" Dipper protested. "Come on Stan, this is crazy, right?!"

"Yeah! Three million? I wasn't born yesterday."

"Wait, are you actually considering selling me?!"

"Four!"

"Ha! Don't make me laugh little missy." Stan said, trying his best to play it cool. 'FOUR MILLION DOLLARS?!'

"Five-fifty." She said as Dipper groaned. "Come on old man, you know this is more money than you'll ever earn in this shack."

"Stan, for the love of all that's good, do NOT sell me!" Dipper cried out. "For all you know she's buying me to eat for herself, and you can't sell your family!"

"I would never eat you!"

"I've been told that before!" He cried out as Stan groaned.

"Ugh, I can't do it, I can't sell my family me-"

"What if I rent him for half a week for the rest of his life?"

"...how much we talking?"

"Two million, if I can't buy him outright then you don't get the initial price I offered." She said as Dipper shook his head.

"Nice try, but Grunkle Stan would never do something like that."

"I'll go get a contract written up." Stan said with a grin, making Dipper's jaw drop.

"WHAT?!"

"Glad to hear it." She said smugly.

"No, no way, I am not going through with this!" Dipper argued.

"Yeah….I'll work for free if I can get him!" Wendy offered up. 'If Stans willing to sell him I might as well try.'

"Wendy?! What are you doing?!"

"Eh, I'm curious how this would work, and I'm barely getting paid, plus if I get you then the snake doesn't." She said with a shrug.

"Hmmm, on one hand I get free labor, on the other hand I get a lot of money…" Stan mused. "So many choices…"

"STAN!" Dipper shouted. "Think about this, are you really going to sell me for the summer?!"

"Well when ya think about it, summer comes and goes so fast you almost don't notice." He justified as Dipper looked at him in shock.

"Wha…. this can't be happening, are you insane?"

"Maybe, who knows, changing into a monster probably messed me up." He said with a shrug.

'He's kidding, this won't actually happen, right?'

(Later)

"Damn it, I just want to be back to normal!" Dipper groaned as he walked into the shack, brushing off what looked like chopped off vegetables. "Being a deer sucks! Everyone either acts weird or tries to eat me! Or both!"

"On the upside, you've been getting way more exercise than you did before." "Mabel offered up with a grin. "I personally love this, being a mermaid rocks!"

"Except now you need to constantly get soaked or you're nearly gasping for air." Dipper pointed out.

"Aw, is someone still grumpy Grunkle Stan is renting you out for two days a week now?" Mabel teased.

"What do you think?" He groaned. "I can't believe he made me agree to this! One day with Pacifica and one day with Wendy!" He groaned. 'It's so weird, Pacifica keeps looking at me weird and I swear Wendy sneaks peek at some kind of cookbook when I'm not looking!'

"You say that like it's a bad thing, don't you have fun?"

"It's the principal! It's like if he sold you out to some guys to spend time with."

"That sounds like fun!" She said as he groaned.

Suddenly the shack began to shake violently, making them both try to hold their ground as a beam of light suddenly appeared from the floor.

"What's going on?!"

"I don't know!" Dipper cried out as what looked like a triangular portal began to slowly open up as a maniacal laugh began to fill the air.

"Hahahahaha! Hello world!" Laughed a certain demon as Bill Cipher came through the portal. "Say hello to your new overlord, things are about to get weird!"

"Is that….a pyramid?" Dipper said as Bill looked down only to pause as he saw the deer parts.

"Uh...am I in the right place? Gravity Falls, Earth, a boring place?"

"Uh….yes?"

"Ok, so am I in some monster den or?"

"No, everyone here is a monster now, we're not quite sure how but uh...yeah?' Dipper said, feeling unsure how to respond.

Bill slumped down and crossed his arms. "You mean to tell me this place is already all weird and out of place without my help?"

"Yeah, I guess? I mean...I'm sorry?" Dipper said as the lights died down and the portal closed.

"Well that's great, that's just GREAT!" Bill groaned. "I had this whole plan, I was going to turn the world upside down and somehow something or someone beat me to it! Is there at least some kind of government or law I can dismantle?!"

"Um, that's pretty much non-existent here, I mean people try to eat me every now and then and I don't think they ever go to prison so…."

"Then my whole plan is ruined!" Bill groaned. "What's the point in causing the weirdmageddon if everything is already weird?!"

Both twins just looked at each other in confusion.

"Uh….I dunno?" Dipper said as Bill collapsed, letting out a small cry. 'Well that was weird.'
