The ship carrying them touched down. The animals all woke up from sleeping and looked around. They were still inside the manta ray-shaped craft.

"Where are we?" Judy asked.

Pulchra walked to the back of the ship and pressed a button. The ramp began to lower and daylight filtered into the dark craft. The animals stepped out and all of them, except Pulchra and Delphin, gasped at the huge aircraft carrier sprawling before them.

"Welcome to The Whale."

"What the fuck, Delphin!" Jack yelled. "You think I don't see this for what it is?"

Delphin looked at the angry rabbit.

"Jack, it's as a precaution. It wasn't just for Animerica." He said.

"No other country besides maybe Furssia and Chinimal would require a boat like this. Not to mention, do you have any idea how many treaties this breaches?"

"We can't worry about that right now. What we need to focus on is how to get Zootopia back. If you'd like to leave, be my guest. Take a Manta Jet and leave. But, this boat is Zootopia's last hope. If you want to bitch about it when it's on its way to save your city, go right ahead."

"Fine. But this discussion is not over." Jack said, his ears falling. The two animals walked back into the conference room.

Judy was amazed by the size of the boat they were on. She hadn't seen much of it, as they had been quickly rushed to a meeting room, but Pulchra had given them the rundown, while Delphin and Jack went outside to talk. The boat was an aircraft carrier on steroids. Its huge deck had 4 runways lined up next to each other. The boat's island was the size of 2 city blocks, making a small skyline of towers, antennas, and other things. Judy had seen multiple weapons on the ship from everything to mounted machine guns to large spherical hatches that looked suspiciously like missile silos. Judy had also seen multiple of the manta ray ships unloading citizens and directing them to their quarters.

They had all been rushed down into the bowels of the ship and led to a meeting room that looked like a normal office board room, with large curved windows looking out at the tumbling sea, a large TV monitor, and a polished wood table surrounded by black leather rolling chairs.

"This is the Whale. Sorry, no acronym, that's not our thing." Skye snickered. "The whale was created by the MOIA to give us an edge over possible... threats... that would come from land or our of water."

"So you made it for Animerica?" Nick asked.

"No. Well, yes, but it was created to help defend ourselves from any threat that wasn't in the water. It's a beautiful piece of machinery though. It is a total of 3 miles long, and about a mile wide. It's powered by nuclear fusion reactors, along with a new experimental power source."

"Which I'm guessing is classified," Sorina asked. Pulchra chuckled and nodded.

"It has a capacity of 800,000 animals. Its weapons systems include SRBM's, Torpedos, and Heat Seeking Missles. It is pretty much the ultimate vehicle."

Jack and Delphin walked into the room, neither looking very happy. Delphins face brightened slightly, however, when Pulcha kissed him on the cheek.

"I've got to go to the bridge. We need to head to the United Kingdom of Animals to drop off our civilian passengers. Tell them the plan and answer their questions, okay?" Pulchra kissed him on the lips this time and hurried off, the door closing behind her. Everyone turned to look at the dolphin.

Delphin had a lovey-dovey look on his face before he snapped out of it and realized they were all staring at him.

"Um, right! So, the plan." Delphin sat down at the head of the table. "As you know, Zootopia has been invaded by what we believe to be are the humans."

"Of course it's the humans! Who else would it be?" Taylor asked, exploding out of the chair in Taylor fashion.

"You like to do that huh?"Delphin said. All of the sudden, they heard talking outside the door.

"Yes, I'm sure. I'm the head scientist! You can let go of me now!" A familiar voice said. The door opened and in walked Simon.

"Hey, guys! What did I miss?" He said, a wolfish grin plastered on his muzzle.

"Simon! You made it!" Judy said. Everyone from Zootopia got up and rushed the hybrid, enveloping him in a hug. They all pulled back.

"Where's Lily?" Skye asked.

"She's fine. It took me a while to get here because I was helping her get set up in our room, then I had to find someone who knew where you were, then I had to convince them that I was the Head Scientist for the ZIA and to let me see you."

"Well you're here now," Jack said. Simon sat down and they resumed their conversation.

"I agree with Taylor. Who else could it be?" Judy said.

"Well, we have no hard evidence that it was humans in those ships. The humans we encountered did not show this level of technological advancement, so logic would dictate it could be a completely different species." Delphin explained. "However, we do of course believe it is the humans, and we will be referring to these attacks as such unless proven otherwise."

"What I want to know," Simon said, leaning forward. "Is why? Why lie to us? What are they trying to do here?"

"Wait! You remember how Sam told us their world was polluted and was in bad shape?" Jack said. The animals from Zootopia nodded. Simon snapped his fingers.

"So what if they're here to gather resources?" The hybrid concluded. There was a groan and a lurch as the Whale's ginormous engines rumbled to life. They began to move at quite an impressive speed, kicking up waves so high they splashed the windows of the conference room. They shot forward, going much faster than they would have expected the monstrous ship to go. Judy walked over to the windows and saw the water falling away.

"What's happening!?" Judy cried. All of them except Delphin ran to the windows and look down at the rapidly receding water. Then, something caught Judy's eyes. There was a large piece of curved gray metal that went under the boat rising out of the water farther down the hull. It broke the surface and the boat stopped rising, riding on top of it.

"It's a hydrofoil!" Judy pointed out the large foil that ran over the water, kicking up spray whenever it hit a wave.

"It's the only way the ship could be of useful function," Delphin said as they sat back down. "Otherwise by the time we got anywhere, the conflict would probably already be over. Without the hydrofoils, this thing could only go about 50 miles per hour, even with its powerful engines. But with them, its top speed hits 500."

The whine of the engines grew higher but softer. The ocean flew by. A 50-foot wave appeared in front of them, but they only felt the slightest bump as the boats smashed through it.

"This is just a 98 billion super boat," Delphin said, chuckling at the awe-filled expressions of the animals.

"98 BILLION?" Simon asked. Delphin nodded. The whine of the engine suddenly disappeared, becoming almost completely silent. Only a slight hum could be heard as the boat flew across the water.

"How can anything survive going this fast?" Sorina asked.

"They have to clear off the deck of any living animals when we go into hydrofoil mode. We tie down the aircraft, cars, and anything else with a combination of magnets and titanium chains." Delphin smiled, enjoying blowing their minds over and over again. "I'll show you guys a surprise later, but for now, black to the plan."

Delphin grabbed a remote from a cubby hole in the table and pointed it at the TV. It flicked on and They could see a map of Animerica, the Mammalian Ocean, and the UKA. A red dot flashed as it moved across the ocean, headed towards the UKA.

"That's us," Delphin said pointing to the red dot. It was already about 1/8th of the way to the UKA, making a great time. Delphin clicked the remote again and the view changed to a map of Zootopia and the surrounding area.

On the ocean sat multiple figures shaped like boats, planes, and helicopters. A large gap was in the middle, which as they watched, the Whale came through the gap and trained its guns on the city. More figures appeared in Zootopia. Floating above the buildings, surrounded by smaller ships, sat the huge warship. The warship began to turn, then fired its main gun, the same it had fired at the ZIA at the Whale. The Whale released a huge metal shield in front of it. The warship's bolt struck and the Whale dipped in the water but sprang back up. The shield retracted and multiple missiles flew forward. The simulation ended.

"You get the idea. We need to hit quick and hard, taking them out as fast as possible." Delphin stood up. "Ladies. Gentlemen. Feel free to return to your rooms, or explore the ship. You will all be given Level 8 access cards which will allow you into most rooms, except any rooms containing servers or essential components to the ship. The doors to the deck are sealed shut, and will only be opened once we reach the UKA. I wish you the best, And we will continue our discussion on the morrow. Goodnight."

Delphin walked out of the room and down the hall.

Delphin opened the door and stepped into the suite. He could hear the shower going in the bathroom.

Target acquired. He thought. He began to creep towards the bathroom door. He reached it and opened it as silently as possible. He slipped in and shut it back. The room was filled with steam and he could make out the outline of an animal in the shower.

He carefully stripped down and walked over. He reached the edge and threw it open.

Pulchra's sound of surprise was cut short by Delphins kiss and he stepped into the shower and once again closed the curtains.

"Delphin!" Pulchra hissed once Delphin broke the kiss. "One, don't scare me like that! And two, did anyone see you come in here? I do not want to explain to anyone why a male agent went into a female director's private room and didn't come out?"

"Oh? I didn't come out? My my! Well, if that's what you want." Delphin smiled at Pulchra who was turning red.

"You- I- Oh forget it!" Pulchra said. She turned away and crossed her arms. She did it so Delphin wouldn't see how much she was struggling not to smile. Delphin laughed and wrapped his arms around her.

"I've missed you, my lady orca," Delphin whispered into her ear. A smile spread across Pulchra's face as she relaxed into Delphins arms, giving a content sigh.

"I've missed you too, Delphin. It's been too long science we've had some quality time to spend together, with you always on your missions and me running the MOIA" She said, turning around in his arms.

Pulchra rested her head against Delphins bare chest and closed her eyes. She rubbed her hands over his finely toned abs and wrapped her tail around his legs, letting out another happy sigh. The warm water from the showerhead cascaded down around them. They began to move side to side slightly, swaying to a small, silent tune. Delphin kissed Pulchras head and wrapped his tail around her. He stared off into space and thought about his friend's home, and how they were going to get it back.

"Delphin what's wrong." Pulchra had taken her head off his chest and laws looking up at him, concern in her eyes.

"It's just... I feel like it's somewhat my fault for all this. Port's death. The Humans escape." Delphin replied looking down at her as they swayed.

"Oh, Delphin. It's not your fault. There's nothing you could have done. You did the best you could." Pulchra raised a hand and touched his snout. Delphin took the hand in his and kept it pressed against his cheek, leaning into it and closing his eyes.

"I was so blind in my rage, I didn't think about where to fire the rocket. I didn't even know that the rocket would go through the ship's shields. Instead of aiming for the engines, which would have been the smart thing to do, I aimed for where I believed my enemies were. The rocket hit, but It did not stop them, and now Zootopia is lost."

Pulchra leaned back and looked up at him.

"Delphin. You're beating yourself up." Delphin looked down at her and leaned down to connect his snout with hers.

"What do you say we get to that 'didn't come out' part, huh?" Delphin mumbled. Pulchra laughed and broke free of his arms. She turned around and shut off the shower. Then she walked back over to Delphin. She put her arms around his neck and jumped. She liked to do this, as a test to Delphins reflexes. Delphins hands shot out and caught her, then brought her close, so he was now holding her bridal style. Pulchra leaned up and whispered in his ear.

"I would like that very much, Mr. Golden." Delphin stepped out of the shower and stood under the fur dryer. He made sure he was just a little most and walked out of the bathroom, heading towards the bed.

Nick and Judy opened the door to their room.

"Oh my. This is quite nice! I was expecting a cold living space." Judy said looking around. The room was small, but it was well furnished and clean. There was a double bed, a small TV, and a bathroom.

"All of the rooms for the crew are like this, Mrs. Wilde." The seal who had led them there said. "This ship is prepared for anything, including mass evacuations. The only rooms that are different are probably the Director's suite and the Captian quarters."

The seal waddled off, leaving them to their own devices. Judy stretched and yawned.

"I'm beaten. How bout you?" She said, glancing over her shoulder at Nick. His head was down, and he began to snore. Judy walked over and bopped him on the nose.

"Quit playing and just say you're tired too." Nick raised his head, a grin on his muzzle. He followed Judy to the bed. They took off their dirty police uniforms and stripped down into their underwear and got under the covers. They were too tired for any hanky-panky so they just cuddled and enjoyed each other warmth as they worried for the city they had learned to call home.

WOOO. That was a long one. I had fun writing this! Here's some info for anyone wondering about some of the things mentioned in this chapter.

A hydrofoil is a lifting surface, or foil, that operates in water. They are similar in appearance and purpose to aerofoils used by airplanes. Boats that use hydrofoil technology are also simply termed hydrofoils. As a hydrofoil craft gains speed, the hydrofoils lift the boat's hull out of the water, decreasing drag and allowing greater speeds.

The hydrofoil usually consists of a winglike structure mounted on struts below the hull or across the keels of a catamaran in a variety of boats. As a hydrofoil-equipped watercraft increases in speed, the hydrofoil elements below the hull(s) develop enough lift to raise the hull out of the water, which greatly reduces the hull's drag. This provides a corresponding increase in speed and fuel efficiency.

Wider adoption of hydrofoils is prevented by the increased complexity of building and maintaining them. Hydrofoils are generally prohibitively more expensive than conventional watercraft above a certain displacement, so most hydrofoil crafts are relatively small, and are mainly used as high-speed passenger ferries, where the relatively high passenger fees can offset the high cost of the craft itself. However, the design is simple enough that there are many human-powered-hydrofoil designs. Amateur experimentation and development of the concept are popular.

Since air and water are governed by similar fluid equations—albeit with different levels of viscosity, density, and compressibility—the hydrofoil and airfoil (both types of foil) create lift in identical ways. The foil shape moves smoothly through the water, deflecting the flow downward, which, following the Euler equations, exerts an upward force on the foil. This turning of the water creates higher pressure on the bottom of the foil and reduced pressure on the top. This pressure difference is accompanied by a velocity difference, via Bernoulli's principle, so the resulting flow field about the foil has a higher average velocity on one side than the other.

When used as a lifting element on a hydrofoil boat, this upward force lifts the body of the vessel, decreasing drag and increasing speed. The lifting force eventually balances with the weight of the craft, reaching a point where the hydrofoil no longer lifts out of the water but remains in equilibrium. Since wave resistance and other impeding forces such as various types of drag on the hull are eliminated as the hull lifts clear, turbulence and drag act increasingly on the much smaller surface area of the hydrofoil, and decreasingly on the hull, creating a marked increase in speed.

For more info on these cool watercraft, visit Wikipedia to read up on their functions and how they work, or ask me a question about them and I'll do my best to answer as I have some experience with the craft. I want your feedback so leave it down below and tell me your thoughts. Heck, tell me anything and everything. I don't care. Love ya. Stay safe. Dolphins out.
