Ch 18 Day 3: Fun

Jane went grips her hand, feeling the cursed quill's mark still burning with pain. 'Damn bitch,' she winced at the pain. She was near the moving stairs when voices caught her ears. "Who was that?" she followed the voices to a nearby hall, peeking from the corner.

"I haven't detected anything on my side of the area, Archer." Jane peeked to see the man who appeared in the circle talking to a green cloaked man.

The man nodded, "Same on the east side of the forest, to think finding Avenger of the Gallows would be an easy task." Robin scoffs. "I'm starting to think she's having help,"

'Who's Avenger of the Gallows?' Jane listens in to them converse.

Watanabe agrees with the Rogue. "I have to agree with you on that Archer, I suspect she has a master and a few Rogue Servants on her side." The Heavenly King suspected.

"I'm surprised you're willing to help master out even if you were just summoned." Robin chuckles, he doesn't mind the help for his master. "Hey, I have a question for you Saber." he looks at him.

"What is it?"

"What decided you to help master out like that? I understand the other three are like just the counterparts to our own versions." Robin asked the Saber, seeing what his answer is. "But you, I heard from the others you fought master back at the Lostbelt and joined him after you encountered Alter Ego's puppets."

'Lostbelt? What is he talking about?' Jane observes the conversation between the Servants. 'What's going on?' she looks closer.

Watanabe inclines his head. "Indeed, I have fought our master once and I cowardly went to him after encountering those demons. I felt utter shame." The Saber repents his action. "I manifested to his call, a way to repent for my cowardly actions. I am determined to serve his every need no matter what danger awaits." He looks at the Archer.

Robin sighs, scratching his orange hair. "I guess you sound sincere with your words, Saber."

"Oh yes, he does sound serene with his words, Archer." The two looked to their right seeing Aphrodite smoking on her cigarette. "As someone specializes in that kind of field, I can tell when someone is telling the truth. This includes Servants." The Goddess smiles at them.

"Ap-Assassin, what are you doing here?" Robin asked the Goddess of Love. "Shouldn't you be at the Border?"

Jane saw the Assassin, hearing what Archer called her. 'Is she one of Ritsuka's Servants? She got to be. She has fucking wings!' She continues observing the Chaldeans from where she's standing.

Aphrodite smokes to the side, smirking at the Servants before her. "I can do whatever I wish, Archer. Besides I'm here to support that Human."

"You mean master," Watanabe interjects, not trusting the Goddess.

"Master, human, still the same thing Saber." Aphrodite huffed before eyeing the corner. "So are you two going over that corner and deal with that female, or should I?" Jane froze getting the feeling that they saw her.

'Shit, what am I going to do?' Jane panics before gripping her hand from the pain.

"You know we already know you are hiding here." Robin materialized in front of her. Jane looks up at the Rogue,

The others joined in as well, seeing her gripping her hand. Watanabe notices her wince, "What's wrong, lady Jane?" The Heavenly King asked the 'sister' of his master.

"N-Nothing is wrong-"

"Quit your lying human, and show us your left hand." Aphrodite raised her voice not wanting any time to be wasted by this ridiculous hesitation.

Jane gritted her teeth before giving in. "Fine," she showed her left hand to the Chaldeans, receiving a disgusted expression on their faces.

"I must not tell lies," Watanabe reads the scaring from her hand, gritted his teeth. He already knows who is responsible for this. "Is this how she treats children?" His voice a bit of rage to his tone.

Robin scoffs, seeing how anyone could show such cruelty to any child. "I swear if she-"

"Archer, Saber report this to the Headmaster or Professor McGonagall," Aphrodite told the Servants, receiving a questionable look toward her. "I'll take her to Fujimaru to get treatment."

"Alright," They both dematerialized, doing what they've been told.

Aphrodite took Jane's right hand, tugging her to follow. "Ow- hey wait!" Jane protest. The Goddess of Love is incapable to love again after the Olympiamachia. However some of her former emotions slowly returning due to the body she possesses, feelings such as love for children and partners.

"Wait, this is nothing." Jane protests seeing the classroom up ahead. "I can just bandage it up and-"

"'Shut it human, accept my help. Your wound is already scaring and infected." Aphrodite scolded her for being an idiot. "You are an idiot if you're going on like that." She opens the door, making her way to her master's office.

"Human! Wake up!" Aphrodite pounds the door. "Open this damn door!" she yelled.

Jane jumps hearing her yell at the top of her lungs. "(A-Assassin! What are you doing? You're going to wake up the whole sc-)" She froze hearing the sounds of an infant crying behind the office door. "A-A baby?"

Sounds of shuffling can be heard from behind the door, the door was unlocked by Ritsuka in a black tight short sleeve shirt, blue pajama pants, and slippers coving his bare feet. The sound of an infant crying echoes in the dark classroom.

Ritsuka blinks, seeing Aphrodite standing before his office. "A-Assassin what are you doing? It's eleven at night." He said to the Goddess. "What is it that you need to wake me and my family up?"

"Well human, I need you to take care of this girl in my hands here." Aphrodite pulls Jane forward, showing her to Ritsuka.

"Jane? What did Assassin get you into?" Ritsuka crosses his arms, assuming that Aphrodite has her up to something.

Aphrodite scoffs, pushing the human girl towards him. "Don't get me wrong, I still don't feel any love, human. But I can clearly see when a child is endangered." She walks off, going wherever she pleases. "You're rubbing your sense of justice on me, Fujimaru. I only did this because it's what you would do."

Ritsuka sighs before seeing the scaring on Jane's hands. "Jane, where did you get this scar?" he took her hand, examining it.

Jane was too preoccupied with the crying infant to answer him. "Jane?" she snaps out of her daze, looking up at Ritsuka.

"S-Sorry, what did you say?"

Ritsuka took Jane inside his office, turning the light on by a switch. Jane got a good look at what his office looks like. Like the classroom, it's white. The only word that would describe the room coloring, even the shelves with different books and photo frames. "Sit here, I'll be with you shortly." Ritsuka ran up the stairs to the bedroom where every Professor lived to tend with the crying infant.

Jane soon spots a little playpen; the fences were colored like a rainbow with toys scattered on the colorful matted floor. 'So he does have a child.' She ponders before seeing the photo on his desk.

'Is this…his family?' She picks up the frame seeing the picture up close. In the photo was his assistant in a cute swimsuit being held by Ritsuka in blue pattern swim shorts. They were kneeling on the water with an infant with violet hair in their arms.

"Violet hair?" Jane looked at the child in the photo frame, sharing the same features as Ritsuka, minus the hair color. "Is this his wife and son?" She puts the pieces together, violet hair, same features as Ritsuka. This child is definitely his son, her nephew.

"I see you noticed my family picture, Jane." Jane turns around seeing Ritsuka walking over to her with a medkit and a bag.

"Y-yeah," She looks at the photo in her hands. "What's his name? Your son's name." Jane asked, having a feeling she wants to know more.

Ritsuka walks over to her, placing down the medical kit and bag on the desk. "Romani, Romani Wodime Fujimaru. He was named after the acting director Romani Archaman and Team A's leader, Kirschtaria Wodime." He smiles sadly

"I-I see, those two must've meant a lot to you." Jane felt sorry for Ritsuka, losing people he cares about. She can relate to him.

Ritsuka examining her hand. "Yeah, they do." he sighs after examining her injury. "That's what I thought." The Magus said to himself, rummaging in his bag.

"What?" Jane asked, not getting what he meant. She saw him taking out a green gem with a strange rune on it. "What is that rune?" She asked, never seeing one like it.

"It's a rune from ancient Scandinavia during the end of the Age of Gods, also known as Ragnarök," Ritsuka explains, he placed the rune given by Thrúd as a present. "A friend gave it to me as a present for my birthday, she said to use it if anything comes to harm to anyone." He quotes what the Valkyrie told him.

"B-But shouldn't you use it on one of your Servants or family?" Jane tries to convince him not to use something this valuable on her. This type of rune is difficult to make, even the Rune Professor, Bathsheda Babbling had been trying for years to make a healing rune. Her many attempts lead to many failures. "It seems wasteful for you to use something like that on me."

Ritsuka shook his head, "No it isn't. My belief is to help anyone in need, you are a person who needs medical care." He said, activating the rune with his Mana.

Jane stayed silent observing him, seeing a faint light green glow coming from the gem. The gem shattered as the healing properties travel into the wound. "W-What did you do?" Jane asked, never seeing a rune doing like that before.

Ritsuka reaches over to the medical kit, taking out some alcohol pads, antibiotics, and bandage wrap. "The rune got rid of the curse from the wound on your hand." He explains dapping the pads on the wound.

"Curse-" Jane wince in pain feeling the alcohol pad cleaning her wound. She then feels some relief from the antibiotics being added on.

"Yes, a curse from a Dark object. From what I analyze the scar will stay with you until the day you pass." Ritsuka wraps the bandage around her hand. "I just lifted the curse with the rune, it'll now heal like any other flesh wound." He got up putting away the medical supplies.

Jane lifts her hand, examining the bandaging that her 'brother' did. "Thank you, Ritsuka." She thanked him.

Ritsuka smiles at her. "Any time, Jane."

Jane got up, feeling a bit in an awkward situation. "S-"

"D-Daddy?" Jane turns around to see the exact same child in a Fou onesie like the one in the photo frame. He was being held by Mashu in white pajamas.

"Is everything alright, Ritsuka?" Mashu asked seeing Jane with him. "Oh, Jane-chan are we interrupting something?" she asked the two 'siblings' before her.

Jane was about to answer when Ritsuka steps in. "You aren't Mashu, Jane here had contracted an injury, Assassin brought her to me to fix up her wound." He explains calmly to his wife.

"I see, well I hope you feel better Jane-chan," Mashu smiles before being patted by Romani.

"Mommy, sweepy." Romani nuzzle into her neck, eyes droopy. "Want…sweep." His eyes dripped shut, fallen asleep in her arm.

Mashu bounces their son in her arms. "It was nice to meet you Jane-chan, I have to get our little one to bed." She smiles, walking up to the bedroom going to put Romani back in his crib.

Jane watched Ritsuka's family walk up the stairs, going back to bed. "Jane, you are set to go now," Ritsuka said, walking behind her.

"O-Oh, right." Jane shook her head, coming out of her daze after seeing his family walking off. Ritsuka led his 'sister' out of his office than the classroom. Upon reaching the hallway, she turns around to face her 'brother'. "Th-Thank you for healing and bandaging my hand," she gave her thanks.

Ritsuka smiles. "It's not a problem, however, I need to inform the Headmaster, James, and Lily about this." He informs the young woman before her. "If you don't want me to then I'm sorry, it's just protocol to report these types to the school." Ritsuka saw that Jane didn't protest.

"Yeah, I figured." Jane knew that this was what to come. "Mum and dad would always say they wish had the power to let little things slide in their classes, but life isn't fair." She shrugs her shoulders, taking it well.

"Alright then, I can have my Servants escorting-"

Jane shook her head, not wanting to gain more attention than she already has. Having people following her around be a burden on her. "No, I'm fine going alone." She moves back, ready to leave. "I'll see you Monday for class, Ritsuka." Jane rushed away to the end of the hall, disappearing at the corner.

Ritsuka turns around, pausing laying eyes on his wife. "Mashu? I thought you went back to bed with Romani." He said seeing the concern in her violet eyes.

"Ritsuka, I worry about her." Mashu looks at him, hands clutched to her heart. "Seeing her, I can tell she's not thinking straight."

"I get what you mean." Ritsuka agrees with his wife. "Assassin of Grimmauld," he calls out to the Pseudo-Servant.

Flat materializes next to his master, smiling like always. "You called, master?" the Assassin asked him.

Ritsuka looks at the Servant, "I need you to keep a watchful eye on Jane."

"Ah, your quote on quote 'sister'." Flat crosses his arms, nodding on who his master meant. "Why's that?" he tilts his head, curious as to why he needs to keep an eye on her.

"I heard that she spoke out in Umbridge's class, I'm concern she might do something like that again," Ritsuka explains to his newest Servant. "Just watch her actions, intervene if the problem goes out of hand." He orders Flat,

Flat closed his eyes, nodding understanding what he was asked to do. "Got it, master. You can count me." Flat gave a thumbs up before dematerializing in his astral form, following the red-haired girl in the night.

Ritsuka turns around, taking his wife by the hand. "Let's go back to bed, Mashu. If you ask me, I'm quite tired." He turns to her with a smile. "Aren't you?" he asked.

Mashu blushed, nodding to his question. "H-Hai," She follows her love back to their room, finally getting some sleep.

The next day Jane can't shake at the fact of Ritsuka's son and wife. Ever since she got out of the girl's lavatory, she can't stop thinking of them. From breakfast to Charms, and even Potions the thought won't go away. She sat at a desk near the front, observing the items around the class.

"What are these things?" Draco saw a strange black cube with a blank screen. On its sides were smaller rectangles with tiny holes at the front. In front of it was a flat rectangle with buttons spread across and a port for something. "This is Muggle Studies, not a cube thingy class." He scoffs.

On the other side were mannequins with strange dresses. One with denim jackets, dresses, overalls, and accessories. "What are those hideous looking clothes?" Ginny sneer along with the witches who have never seen the Muggle clothes trend.

"It's disgusting, the color of those jackets!" Tracey gag, not liking the denim.

"I think I'm going to be sick if I'm wearing that." Astoria shutters, thinking of the hideous clothing.

Daphne crosses her arms, scoffing at the sigh. "You will never see me in that outfit, I mean look at it!" She motions to the mannequin with the white blouse, denim jacket, and skirt. 'It's appalling to the eyes!" she scorns at the style.

Ron nudges Hermione, her eyes widen at the variety of Muggle items display. "I-I don't think this was possible, the trends, technology, everything!" Hermione was trying to comprehend the sight she saw.

"What? Mione, they're just Muggle artifacts-"

The doors burst open, surprising the students in their seats. "Precisely! These are Mundane technology and fashion trends outside the Wizard Communities!" Everyone turns their heads, to a brunette with blue eyes in an advanced style of clothing. "These are fine examples of Mundane culture at its finest!" She announced with glee.

Her heels click on the stone flooring, walking towards the desk at the front. "I remember her," Jane said, watching her turning around. "She was with Ritsuka during their introduction."

"You're right, is she Muggle?" Neville commented, seeing her enthusiasm from her voice.

Da Vinci flips her hair dramatically, still smiling at her class. "Welcome my dear students to Mundane Culture Studies, I'm your beautiful and intelligent instructor; Professor Caster-chan!" She motions her hands to the door, singling another Caster to enter. "I would like you all to meet my wonderful assistant (Who I had set up these objects beforehand), Professor Velvet!"

Everyone turns around to a Snape like man walking forward from the door. "Seriously? He's going to be teaching us too?" Draco scoffs, watching the former Professor from the Clocktower making his way over.

Waver arrived, standing next to Da Vinci. His face still has this miserable look when facing the students. "Right, now everyone please pay close attention to us." Waver announced letting Da Vinci take over the spotlight,

"Thank you, Professor." Da Vinci smiles before gazing upon their students. "As you are now aware Muggle Studies has changed into Mundane Culture Studies, seeing how insulting the original name is." She sighs shaking her head that the Ministry would disrespect Mundane.

Waver coughs, gaining her attention. (Caster, continue.)" He whispers to her.

"Anywho, this course is now mandatory for your transcript for graduation." Da Vinci announced she walks over to the shelf behind her desk. The students watch her getting some notebooks from the shelf. "This course will no longer follow the original plan from what the previous Headmasters of this school proscribe. Instead…"

The Caster walks down the row placing each notebook on each of their student's desks as she explains her plan. "You'll all be taking notes, writing my lectures to the best of your abilities." She moves down the rows, dropping each book down.

"I'll be the one teaching you the modern-day Mundane society instead of those who just wrote they use electricity to power stuff and guns for killing and whatnot." Da Vinci explains to her class.

"Then what are we're going to learn? Muggles can't be all that special." Draco rolled his eyes, this class is ridiculous the only reason he took it because it's now a mandatory class. "All they are is lazy with those techno-something and knows constant violence." His proclamation made those with the Pureblooded was to agree with the spoiled brat.

Ron and the others sneer in disgust, their racial views are appalling to their ears. "Here we go, the Weasel is doing his thing again." The red-haired boy rolled his eyes.

Da Vinci just smiles walking up to him. "Mr. Malfoy isn't Wizards just as lazy too?" she closes her eyes, still retaining her joyful tone.

"WHAT!? WE'RE NOT LAZY YOU SQUIB- "Pansy froze seeing her strained expression moving her way.

"Ms. Parkinson, tell the whole class why you think Wizards and Witches aren't lazy, mmm?" Da Vinci asked, still joyful.

Everyone looked at the brown-haired girl, sweating like a pig from the stares. "W-W-Well, th-they don't have magic!" She exclaims, then proceeds to point at the Caster. "LIKE YOU SQUIB!"

Da Vinci crock her head, "Squib huh?" Her staff manifested in her hand, receiving gasps of shock from the wandless magic she just displays.

Pansy sat back down, flabbergast from her wandless form of magic. "H-How? How could a Squib do magic?" she trails off her sentence.

"Caster," Waver warns the Tech Advisor.

Da Vinci waves it off, turning to face her class. "As you can see, I have a magical background as you say it." She proceeds with the planned explanation. "I have studied a different way of performing magic from what you are all used to. This way is only for a select few like me, who can do this."

The Caster looks at the shocked faces in her class. "Magic has evolved and those who showed a talent for this technique took the opportunity by incorporating the Mundane Technology with magic." She proceeds with the explanation.

"Professor are-"

"This is a Mundane Culture Class, there will be no learning of this magic." Da Vinci announced, seeing the disappointment on Hermione's faces. "Now that I'm done with my rant, I would like to discuss this class some more. Does anyone have a problem with that?" she eyed each of her students, receiving no reply.

"Good," Da Vinci dismisses her staff and continues on her class. "Now back to the topic, this class will be exploring the Mundane culture, their lifestyles, their interest, and most of all entertainment."

"What do you mean, entertainment?" Jane raised her hands like any student who respects their Professor.

Da Vinci nodded, taking some casing from her desk. "I am determined to make the Mundane world more interesting for you all to head over one day." She announced. "Mundanes have made many achievements throughout the years, thus this will be a fun course."

"Fun? What's so fun about Muggle society?" Ginny scoffs,

The Tech Advisor showed the students three cases. "The first topic for today is entertainment, can anyone tell me what these three are?" Da Vinci asked, seeing only two hands up. "Ms. Potter."

Jane stood up. "Those are movie cases," she responded, seeing them before at her grandparent's house.

"Yes, there are, can someone elaborate what they do?" Da Vinci asked once more.

Hermione stood up, knowing what they do. "They play movies on a VHS player,"

"Movies? What are movies?" A Ravenclaw asked her friend.

"I do not know." She replied. Soon the room was covered in whispers discussing what movies are.

Da Vinci and Waver smiled. "Movies are pictures that move unlike those you see on the paper, they're stories told showing graphics." The Pseudo-Servant explains. "You all better write this down." He raises his voice, seeing them scurrying to write.

"For the next few weeks, we're delving into the music and the arts of the Mundane World." Da Vinci smiles, feeling this was the right course for this class. "So pop quiz!" Everyone stares at her after hearing the word pop quiz.

"What type of movie did takes place in the stars?" Da Vinci asked her entire class, no one answered, not even Jane or Hermione. "No guesses? Then I'll let this slide." She walks over to the monitor and VHS player, sliding one tape inside. She pressed the button and turned on the speakers. Then the screen turns on to certain golden opening credits.

"STAR WARS!?" Jane and Hermione exclaim, seeing that movie before.

"Star what?" Ron questioned, like many of the students they never heard of it.

Da Vinci grins, dramatically throwing her arms out. "YES! Star Wars!" she announced. "For this class, I'll be showing popular Mundane culture such as this masterpiece." She explains with joy.

"You'll all watch the movie and do a short response questions I'll hand out once the movie is done." Da Vinci walks off, dimming the lights so they can watch the movie.

Waver stood next to her, observing the class. "They seem to be invested with it." He said, seeing them jump when Luke and Leia swung across the ledge by a wire.

Da Vinci smirks, knowing her genius mind paid off. "Of course it would work, I'm a genius after all Waver." She flips her hair. "Letting some fun in a class won't hurt their education about Mundane culture."

"I never doubt you for a second Caster." Waver moves his attention back to the monitor, fixated with the movie.
