Cailin made her way into Maura's office and sat down, not daring to make eye contact with her sister after what had just transpired upstairs with Jane. Maura was not about to let her off that easily though.

"Am I going to regret giving you and Jess my blessing Cailin? The disrespect that took place this morning is ridiculous. I have four children in this house."

"Oh come on Maur. The kids have no clue and it's not like we did anything in front of the kids. We're not that dense. It was an accident. Her cellphone pressed against the control and turned it on."

Maura looked at her sister and rubbed her temples at the absurdity of this conversation.

"I suppose it was an accident when you took off running out of here?"

Cailin blushed.

"N-n-n-no. That was all Jess. I'm sorry Maura. It was my idea. Not Jess's. I had to talk her into it. It won't happen again I swear. Can we please change the subject? The awkwardness is killing me."

"It better not happen again Cailin. Next time you'll be put in separate rooms for the duration of your stay. So if you want to continue having sex I would suggest you keep it in your bedroom where it belongs. Do we have an understanding?"

"Yes Maura! I'll do anything you want as long as you'll change the subject!"

Maura wasn't sure how to bring up what needed to be discussed with her sister so she decided just to tackle it head on.

"Mom and I are meeting with Paddy Doyle today."

Cailin stared at her sister in disbelief as the shock set in.

"You can't be serious Maura. Why would you want to see that man? The better question is, why the hell is Jane letting you?"

"Jane is not "letting" me do anything Cailin. Jane understands why I'm wanting to do this. I need to know where I came from. I'm not doing this for mom, I'm doing this for myself. I just thought you might want to know. I hate how mom has hid things from you and that's the last thing I wanted to do."

"You've had time to come to terms with all this Maura. I haven't. My dad was a wonderful man and I just found out it was all a lie. You may be ready to accept that he's your father but I'm not."

Cailin wiped angrily at her eyes as the tears showed up uninvited.

"I don't want it to be true Maura. That man is evil. I don't want any part of him living inside of me."

"Cailin if there is anyone in this entire world that knows how you are feeling right now it's me. I may share DNA with him, but Paddy Doyle is not my father. My father, the man that raised me, is Arthur Isles. I need to hear from his mouth why."

Maura took a deep breath.

"Besides that Cailin, I need to tell you what you didn't give mom a chance to do last night."

"Oh jeez, there's more," Cailin says with sarcasm dripping from her voice.

Maura nods.

"The more important reason mom and I are going today, Paddy has a daughter. We have a sister. We're wanting to find her because she may be a match for your stem cell transplant. Half siblings have significantly better odds."

Cailin quickly shakes her head.

"Nope."

"What do you mean nope?"

"If you want to find her and have some effed up family reunion then go for it. However, no child of his will be a sibling of mine. Also, the last damn thing I want is to have to owe that man. Forget it."

Maura stood to move closer to her sister.

"Cailin,"

Cailin held up her hand and shook her head.

"I said forget Maura, we will find someone else, find a different match."

"At least let me find her Cailin. He hasn't raised her. She likely has no idea who he is just like we didn't. She's your sister regardless. Are you going to punish her for his misdeeds? She can't help having his blood running through her veins anymore than we can."

Cailin sighs.

"Fine, as long as she has no connection to him."

Cailin pauses for a moment before speaking again.

"Maur, can I, can I go with you? I mean I could care less about the man but I feel like if you insist on doing this, we should do it together. He's my father too."

Saying those last words made Cailin want to vomit.

Maura pinched the bridge of her nose.

"I don't know if that's a good idea Cailin. I mean Jane already hates the idea of me going, she may flip if you come too not to mention Jess. Paddy is not a good man Cailin, and if anything goes wrong, I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you."

"Oh, I see how it is. You can worry about me but I am supposed to sign your and mom's death certificates and smile? I don't think so. If you're doing this we are doing it together."

Maura sighs.

"OK but you get to handle Jane and Jess. They are not going to be happy."

Cailin nods.

"You leave them to me. I've got it."

Just then a knock at the door pulled them from the seriousness.

"Come in," Maura called out.

"Hey Maur, there seems to be three little girls wanting to see their mom before they leave for school." Jane said, doing her best to keep the girls at bay until Maura said it was okay.

Maura smiled before sitting up straight.

"You can let them in Jane."

As soon as the words left her mouth Jane pushed open the door and three tiny body's ran to their mom.

"Well don't you three look pretty."

All three little girls giggled. Jane stepped farther into Maura's office and laughed.

"Yeah they're pretty now but it was not pretty for me and Em to round them up. Apparently they thought if they took long enough they could stay home," Jane said with a grin.

Maura looked at her girls.

"Now girls, we've talked about this. You have to go to school, don't you want to learn a bunch of new things and play with your friends?"

All three heads shook from side to side. Maura had to control the laugh that wanted to escape.

"We want to stay with you and ma," Amelia said, speaking for all three of them.

"Oh sweetie, I know you do and if you weren't feeling well then you could stay home. Are you sick?"

Maura asked, looking the little blonde in the eyes. Amelia shook her head no.

"Hmm, and what about you two? Are you feeling sick?"

Maura waited, Maddy and Abby looked at each other as if thinking it over before shaking their heads no.

"Well if none of you are sick then I'm sorry but you have to go to school. Those are the rules, okay?"

Amelia, Maddy and Abby all nodded.

"Now with that out of the way, give mom hugs and kisses girls so we can go. I don't want you to be late," Jane says smiling.

The three girls each take a turn giving Maura hugs and kisses before heading for the door.

"Hey what about me?"

Cailin turns in her chair to face her three nieces. Cailin gave her sister a look that warned her not to say anything about sanitizer. Three little girls came back to give Cailin hugs and kisses too.

"Bye munchkins have a great day okay? I want to hear all about when you get home," Cailin said with a huge smile, receiving three in return.

Jane leaned down and kissed her wife.

"I love you, I'll try and make it back before you leave with Hope okay?"

Maura bit her lip.

"Um about that," she said nervously. After a little hesitation, Maura decided this needed to wait.

"Never mind. I need to talk to you before we go but it can wait. We won't leave until you get back."

Jane nodded.

"Not sure I like the sounds of that, but OK. I'm going to get the girls to school. Em is going to take Adam and Callie.

Maura nodded.

As Jane made her way towards the door, a quick glance towards the living room caused her to step back and do a double take.

"Callie Grace Rizzoli Isles, what do you think you're doing?"

Callie's eyes grew wide as she spotted Jane and quickly hung up the phone before passing it back to Adam.

"I'm sorry ma."

"You just added another week Callie. You know you're grounded from the phone right now."

"Yes ma'am," Callie said, hanging her head.

Watching all this unfold, Emily stepped in herself.

"Adam, you knew that Callie was grounded. You can give me your phone now as well."

"You said you were going to hurry," Adam grumbled to Callie before passing Emily his phone.

"Thanks Em," Jane said as she took off out the door to take the littles to school and Emily took the older kids.

After Jane, Emily, and the kids were gone, Maura went to call her mom to check on things and Cailin went back upstairs to have a talk with Jess she knew she wouldn't like.

She walked in and closed and locked the door behind her before going and sitting next to Jess on the bed, who was engrossed in a book. Still peeved about earlier events, Jess pretended not to see the brunette lay down beside her.

"Hey, are you mad at me?"

Jess huffs while looking the other direction.

"Hey baby, it was just a joke."

Jess turned over and glared in Cailin's direction.

"Do you see me laughing? You just wait."

Cailin smiles while running her fingers up and down Jess's arm.

"Well, what if I make it up to you?"

Jess shakes her head.

"Nope. Not interested."

"Babe, don't be mad," Cailin says, still running her fingers up and down Jess's arm.

When Jess kept her attention on the book in her lap Cailin tried something different. Standing up she took the book from Jess's hands before straddling her.

Jess kept her attention on everything but Cailin. The brunette tangled her fingers in Jess's hair. She tried to kiss Jess but the redhead wasn't giving up that easily. She quickly turned her head making Cailin's kiss land on her cheek.

Cailin grinned before placing kisses from Jess's cheek to her neck. Jess's breath hitched and she swallowed hard when Cailin bit down lightly. She wanted to hold off but her body was betraying her.

Cailin smiled when she saw Jess holding her breath. She tugged Jess's shirt, indicating for her to take it off. She expected Jess to resist but she didn't as she quickly shedded the clothing, still braless underneath. Cailin immediately turned her attention to Jess's breasts, taking her nipples in her mouth one at a time.

As she was doing this, Jess let out a loud moan.

She couldn't help but grin.

"I thought you weren't interested?"

Cailin reached down and unbuttoned Jess's jeans and helped her remove them along with her underwear for the second time that day.

"So", Cailin says, as she starts to seductively trace her fingers around Jess's body. "Are you still not interested?"

Jess groans.

"Quit teasing me Cailin and take your clothes off."

Cailin laughs.

"Well aren't you demanding."

"You owe me remember?"

Cailin nods. "True, true," she says as she quickly sheds all her clothes and pulls the red head towards her and embraces her tightly before kissing her deeply. She felt Jess grinding against her, trying desperately to get relief from the aching she had been feeling for well over an hour.

"You know Jess, all you have to do is ask," Cailin says, as she kisses the redhead again before taking her hand between Jess's legs and giving Jess the attention she had been yearning for.

She started out slowly, picking up speed as she felt Jess inching closer and closer to the edge. She grinned mischievously as she stopped.

"Cailin, don't you dare," Jess said, her voice close to a growl.

Cailin giggled. "It'll make it better Jess."

"Baby please! I am begging you. If you don't finish soon I may just explode."

"Are you whining Jess? That's kind of sexy," Cailin says with a laugh as she shifts and settles herself between the redheads legs and starts to focus on giving Jess exactly what she was yearning for.

Within seconds Jess had a hold of the brunette's head holding on for dear life for the earth shattering orgasam she knew was coming. When it finally hit, Cailin's eyes went wide when Jess screamed.

After Jess came down from the orgasmic high, Cailin held her tight while kissing her once more before pulling away to look at her.

"Damn Jess, What was that? Thank God Maura is still in her office. I don't think I can stand another awkward sex lecture. Aren't you glad I made you wait? It was worth it wasn't it? There's no way you can be mad at me after that."

Jess quickly flipped their positions. Resting her weight on her elbow she smiled down at the beautiful brunette beneath her. Cailin's hands found placement on Jess's bare hips.

Jess leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Cailin's lips.

"It was worth it," she remarks, pulling out of the kiss with a smile.

"Just please don't tease me like that again, I was ready to climb the walls."

Jess's remark made Cailin giggle.

"I'm sorry baby, I love you."

The brunette smiles.

Jess kisses the tip of Cailin's nose. "I love you too."

The brunette watched as Jess's face turned serious.

"What's wrong Jess?"

Cailin asks, as she runs her fingers up and down the redheads back. Jess looked down at her girlfriend.

"It's not just sex for me, y-you know that right?"

Jess shifted to allow Cailin to sit up. Cailin took Jess's hands in her own before kissing her softly.

"Jess, baby I didn't, I don't think it's just sex for you. I'm sorry if I made you feel like it was just sex for me. It's not, I just wanted to have a little fun. Jess look at me," Cailin says softly.

The red head turned and looked at the girl she loved more than anything.

"Jess, I can feel how much you love me in the way that you touch me, it will never be just sex with you, ever."

Jess smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too baby, always." They kissed a few more times before both getting cleaned up. When they heard the front door close Maura called for them to come downstairs.

Making their way into the living room hand in hand they sat down on the couch. Cailin shifted a bit nervously, she needed to tell Jess that she was going with Maura and Hope.

"Um Jess, before Maura says anything I need to tell you something."

Jess looked at Cailin, confusion all over her face.

"Maura and mom and meeting Paddy today and I'm going with them."

Cailin's words caught Jane's attention as well and both Jane and Jess remarked in unison.

"Absolutely not."

Jane looked at her wife.

"Maur you can't seriously be thinking about taking Cailin with you. It's bad enough that you are going."

"It's her decision Jane. I've spoken my concerns for the matter but in the end it's her choice," Maura said matter of factly.

Jess looked at Cailin.

"Cailin, Paddy is dangerous. There's no way I'm letting him within 100 yards of you."

Cailin knew Jess and Jane's concerns came from a place of love but she needed to do this.

"Jess, I need to do this. I'm not letting Maura handle this alone. She's my sister, if she's doing this then we are doing it together. I love both you and Jane for caring so much but I've already made up my mind."

Jess huffed and sat back on the couch.

Just then the doorbell rang. Jane stood.

"I'll get it. You two don't make any more plans until I get back. Matter of fact, don't say anything until I get back."

Jane chuckled and shook her head before answering the door.

Opening the door she greeted Hope.

"Morning Hope, come in. Everyone is in the living room."

Hope smiled.

"Good morning, thank you Jane."

When Hope and Jane returned to the living room Jane sat back down next to her wife.

"Go on Maur, tell your mom what you and Cailin have discussed. I'm sure she has something to say about it."

Maura looked at her sister then to her mom.

"Cailin is coming with us to meet Paddy."

Maura said the last words quickly then held her breath and waited for her mother to protest. What came from her mother's mouth shocked everyone.

"I think that's a great idea," Hope remarked smiling.

"What!?" Again Jane and Jess spoke loudly in unison.

"Okay, are me and Jess the only two thinking clearly here? I mean obviously we are because it seems you all have lost your damn minds. Hope, is it not bad enough that one daughter is already going with you, but now your youngest is going too?"

Jane rubbed her face and groaned.

"Jane, as I've told you before Paddy won't hurt any of us."

Jane snorted.

"What are you going to say to him Hope when he asks who Cailin is? Oh by the way this is your other daughter who I've hidden from you? Jeez."

"He knows who Cailin is Jane."

Maura placed her hand on her wife's bouncing leg.

"Jane, please calm down. You will have an unmarked following us. They won't let us out of their sight. Just please try to understand."

"I'm trying Maur, I really am."

Just then Jess cut in.

"If Cailin is going then I'm riding in the unmarked."

Cailin and Jane both shake their heads.

"C'mon ma, you can't possibly expect me to stay here. I'm going," Jess said adamantly.

"Baby, I'll be fine," Cailin says, taking Jess's hand in hers.

The worry on Jess's face and the pleading in her eyes was almost enough to keep her from going.

"Jess trust me and if not me, then trust Jane, or the unmarked that she hand picked. Please."

Jess knew this wasn't an argument she was going to win. She sighed deeply.

"Okay Cailin, but you call me as soon as the meeting is over. If I don't hear from you then I'm coming look for you."

Cailin smiled.

"Thank you Jess."

"Okay look, if Cailin is going then Riley is going to get placed with the unmarked as well. They are already on their way here. I'll call Riley to meet up with them."

As much as Jane didn't like this she trusted Riley with her life and thus trusted her with her family's as well.

A short while later, Hope, Cailin, and Maura pulled up to the abandoned warehouse where Hope had agreed to meet Paddy. Maura pulled out her phone and dialed Riley as Jane had asked her to do. Riley immediately picked up on the first ring.

"We are just about to go in," Maura said, glancing around nervously.

"Maura, I want you to keep your phone on and keep it tucked away so I can hear what is going on in there."

"OK."

"There's one more thing. Maura, if anything goes wrong, I have every intention of shooting to kill. I want you to understand that. No way will I give that man a chance to hurt either of you.Jane would never forgive me."

Maura breathes deeply before slowly exhaling.

"Thank you for doing this Riley," she says, her voice shaking.

"Anything for family, just try and relax Maura. I'm close enough to be there within a minute," Riley remarks, trying her best to calm the nervous blonde.

"Okay, I'm putting my phone in my purse now."

Maura put her phone away before looking at her mother then Cailin and back again.

"Okay, let's get this over with."

As they walk towards the abandoned building Maura shudders.

"You know mom, i've been to plenty of crime scenes that look just like this. How do you know he is not going to pull something?"

Hope stops walking and takes Maura's hand in hers.

"Maura, you and Cailin are the two most precious things in my life. If I thought for a minute he would hurt you, you wouldn't be here. He loves me and he loves you. He's not going to harm a hair on your head. I would stake my life on it."

Cailin scoffs.

"Well mom, you may be doing just that."

Just then, Maura hears a voice call out from behind her.

"Excuse me, i'm looking for Paddy Doyle. Do you know where I can find him?"

Maura nearly jumps out of her skin at the unexpected voice, not daring to look behind her.

"I apologize. I didn't mean to scare you. It's just, he gave me this address and all that is here is an abandoned warehouse. I must have written it down incorrectly."

All of a sudden Maura, Cailin, and Hope eyed each other, none of them needing words to express what they were thinking. That voice sounded very familiar. That voice was Maura. Slowly, the three ladies turned around to look at the woman that was speaking to them.

The lady and Maura stared at each other in disbelief, each with their jaw dropped trying to process what they were seeing. Maura was staring at a carbon copy of herself, only with dark brown hair. Maura turned to Hope and her expression quickly went from shock to anger.

"What the hell else are you hiding mom? You couldn't bother to give Cailin and I a heads up?"

Hope looked between Maura and the other woman, her mouth still dropped in awe. "M-maura, I, I."

Hope was struggling, her words failing her.

"Cut the shit mom! She's me just with brown hair! Please don't try to tell me you didn't know about this? Maybe this whole situation was a mistake."

"Maura, I'm not lying when I tell you I have absolutely no idea what is happening here."

Hope's eyes were wide and tears were starting to work their way out.

Maura walks over and stands next to her carbon copy.

"Then how do you explain this mom?!" Maura asked waving her hand between her and the brunette.

"She doesn't know." A deep, male voice said, stepping out of the abandoned building.

All eyes turned towards the voice.

"She can't explain because she doesn't know. If you all come inside I'll tell you everything."

The brunette quickly pulled a gun that she had concealed.

"You think i'm going in that building with you? I'm not stupid. I'm a cop. Whatever you have to say,you can say it right here."

Maura quickly glanced from the woman, to Paddy, and back again. The fact that Paddy didn't draw a gun on the brunette spoke volumes to her, knowing he was certainly armed.

Maura chose her words carefully. The last thing she wanted was for Riley to overhear the word gun and the other lady to get hurt.

"Hey, i'm Maura. What's your name?"

The other lady eyes Maura warily.

"Kate."

Maura nods.

"This is Cailin," Maura says pointing towards her sister.

"This is our mom Hope." Maura pauses a moment before speaking again. "I promise he's not going to hurt us OK? You can trust him."

The brunette thinks that over for a moment before slowly putting the gun away.

"Let's go," Maura says, gesturing for the brunette to walk with her. They all made their way inside of the building. Once inside, Hope was the first to speak.

"What the hell did you do Paddy? My head is spinning right now."

Paddy looked at the woman who he loved so long ago.

"I did what I had to do Hope," he says, pulling a chair from the nearby table, gesturing for them all to sit.

"What exactly is it that you did Paddy? Because it looks like you cloned our daughter or better yet had someone do it for you."

Hope's words caused Paddy to laugh.

"What's so funny Paddy? I'm not laughing. Did you think cloning her would somehow magically replace her? This woman, whatever she is, doesn't have a chance in hell of being a marrow donor for Cailin, because she is Maura. Of all the fucked up things you've ever done, this one takes the prize."

Paddy raised his hand.

"That's ridiculous Hope."

"Well, please explain, because it is the only logical explanation. I know damn well I gave birth to one baby, not two."

Maura, Cailin and Kate stood, watching and listening to the absurd conversation that was taking place.

"Hope would you please sit down. I have everything here," he says, slapping a folder onto the table.

"Now I can tell you what happened which you probably won't believe or you can see it for yourself. Your choice."

Hope opens up the folder, and glances at a photo of twin baby girls. Then she pulled out the original birth certificates.

"Caitlin Shyann Doyle," Maura reads off the name on the birth certificate.

"This is Maura's original birth certificate."

She then reads the other birth certificate.

"Baby Girl Doyle."

She moved on to two sets of adoption papers. Paddy could see she was still struggling fitting the pieces together.

"I asked her adoptive parents to name her Katelynn because I knew Maura's adoptive parents renamed her. That way, a part of her sister remained with her. "

Hope looked up from the folder to Paddy, over at Kate, and back again.

"I know I had one baby that day. I feel like i'm losing my fucking mind. "

Paddy waited a moment before speaking to let the information sink in.

"You were pregnant with twins Hope."

Hope shakes her head.

"No, it wasn't. I have ultrasounds to prove it. I had one child. One."

Paddy sighed, this was going to be more difficult to explain then he originally thought.

"I know how this all sounds. When you went into labor you had to have an emergency C section. Remember? When they came out they had two babies. I knew you were already struggling so hard to give up Caitlin, I mean Maura. I didn't want you to have to do that with yet another baby. So I took her. I paid them off to not say a word about your other child. Money does things. Even your medical records show you only gave birth to one child that day. I had to protect you. I knew you couldn't have handled giving up another child."

"Um hello, I did mention i'm a cop right?"

Kate couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Paddy shrugs.

"You'd never be able to prove it."

Hope turns and stares from Paddy, to Kate, and back to Paddy. Her face turns bright red as the facts of what happened begins to register in her mind. She turns towards Paddy before speaking.

"You son of a bitch. You stole my child from me."

As those words left her mouth Hope slapped Paddy across the face hard, leaving a solid red handprint on his face, sending an echo of the sound throughout the building.

Maura jumped. "Mom!"

Paddy rubbed his face with one hand while waving the other at Maura.

"It's alright Maura. I can't say I didn't see that coming. Your mom was always a feisty one."

Silence falls over the room for a bit before Kate breaks it.

"Mom?"

Hope turns towards the brunette and just stares. Maura slowly steps forward and places her hand on Hope's back.

"I've been in her place. All her life she has searched and had questions. This isn't her fault mom. She just wants to know her mom. I can guarantee that's why she's here right now. I know this is a lot to process, but don't put a wall up on her. She deserves to have this moment just like I did. Look at her. She's yours."

Hope slowly walked toward the brunette and stared at her a moment before pulling her into an embrace. As she did, she began to sob.

"Oh my God. I didn't know. I am so sorry. If I would have, I didn't know. How could I not know?"

Kate stood stiff for a moment before wrapping her arms around Hope. What started as an unsure embrace turned into a tight hold. She held onto Hope almost as if thinking if she left go the woman would disappear. No words could be said for the emotions coursing through her. She had finally found her biological mother, maybe not in the way she had thought about so many times before, but she found her nonetheless.

The brunette had so many questions, so many things she wanted and needed to know but for the time being she just held Hope close. After a few minutes, Kate pulled away and looked at the other two women standing in the room. She walked over to Maura, finally finding her voice.

"So, you're my sister," she says with a smile. Maura smiles back.

"Yeah, it would seem that way."

Both women tilted their head to the side. Noticing this, Maura chuckled.

Kate, not wanting to make Maura uncomfortable asked.

"Would it be okay if I hugged you?"

Maura smiled softly and nodded, her eyes filled with tears. Had someone told her years ago that she had sisters much less a twin she would have never believed them.

Cailin stood awkwardly off to the side, watching the two reunited sisters embrace .Catching a glimpse of her sister, Maura pulled away from Kate. Following Maura's gaze, Kate smiled.

"Is this your daughter?"

At that statement Cailin busted out laughing.

Maura shakes her head.

"No, this would be our annoying little sister."

"You know you love me," Cailin says, with a cheeky grin on her face.

As Kate stepped towards Cailin, Maura found herself yelling without thinking.

"No!"

Kate jumped at the sudden change in Maura's demeanor.

Kate glanced at Maura with horror written on her face.

"What did I do?"

"Please don't hug her. She has Leukemia and she is undergoing chemotherapy right now."

Cailin glared at Maura.

"Come on Maur. You're being ridiculous again. She's my sister."

Cailin looks at the older brunette and smiles.

"Have you had any cough, fever, stuffy nose, sore throat, any of that stuff that can kill me?"

Kate shakes her head.

Cailin smiles and holds out her arms. Seeing Kate hesitate, Cailin walks to her and embraces her. As she pulled back from the woman, she stared from Kate to Maura, and started to cry.

"Hey, what's wrong Cailin?" Maura looked at her sister with concern.

"I'm sorry. I don't want to ruin this moment. It's just, I realized you are obviously identical twins. That means she won't be a match either."

"That isn't necessarily true. We could be fraternal. Sisters can look like twins all the time."

Maura turns to Kate.

"Would you like to come to my home for dinner? We could all sit and talk?"

Kate hesitated.

"Are you sure I wouldn't be a bother?"

Maura shakes her head.

"Not at all."

Standing nearby, Hope and Paddy had watched all the interaction between their girls.

"Look at them, Hope. They are all beautiful. You know, I've screwed up a lot of things in my life, but there are three things I can say was not a mistake."

Hope turned to Paddy.

"Why Paddy? The things you do, they are not mistakes, they are choices. Your choices destroyed this family."

Paddy hesitates.

"It's the only life I know Hope. These girls, they deserved better than me. Even if I could have, I didn't want them growing up in this life because there is no way out."

"Bullshit! It's a choice Paddy. Make the fucking choice. Do you know our daughters were petrified to meet you today because they were afraid you were going to hurt them? Is that the legacy you want your children to have? That their father is evil?"

Paddy shakes his head.

"You know I would never hurt them. I will kill for them."

Hope groans.

"You're never going to get it are you? Damn it Paddy, I love you but you love the life you are living more than me, more than your children."

Paddy takes Hope's hand in his and gently kisses it.

"I wish it was that simple Hope. I really do. I can never get out. They would kill us all. Don't you understand that? It is what it is."

He stares at the redhead for a moment before pulling her to him and slowly bringing her lips to his. As they were lost in the moment, it was quickly interrupted by two of their daughters.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me," Cailin and Maura said in unison.

Hope quickly pulled away from Paddy and stared at her daughters.

"Girls, I can…"

Maura holds up her hand.

"We don't even want to hear it mother. We're leaving. Stay here and have your love fest with the mob."

Kate stared at Maura as confusion washed over her face.

"Did you say mob?"

Maura nods.

"We'll explain later. Let's go."

"OK, that is our father right?"

Maura nods.

"Yes, but trust me that's one reunion you don't want to have."

As the ladies headed towards the front of the warehouse, Paddy called out behind them.

"I love you. All of you."

Maura looked at Cailin then Kate before turning around and walking back towards Paddy. Cailin leaned over and whispered to Kate.

"Maura's about to blow," she says looking at Kate.

Kate looks at Maura.

"What's she going to do? Better question is how the hell can she move so fast in those heels?" Kate asked, causing Cailin to laugh.

"Years of practice," the young brunette says, tuning back to the situation. Maura had made it back across the room and was standing face to face with Paddy.

"What did you say?" She asked, her words full of anger.

"I said, I love you, all of you."

Maura scoffed.

"You wouldn't know what love was if it bit you in the ass! The only person you love is your damn self! Just because you laid with our mother and helped make us does not make you a father. You can keep your "love" and shove it while you're at it."

Maura looked at her mother. "We are leaving, are you coming?"

Before Hope could answer, Paddy spoke again.

"She wouldn't be here if I didn't love you," he says pointing towards Kate. "When I found out I had another daughter and she was sick and Hope asked me if I had another child, I immediately set out to find her, knowing that the truth would come out. Knowing Hope would find out what I did. I still did it because I love that child, the one I never even met. Do you have children?"

"It's in your best interest not to ask about my children. You stay away from them. I have a wife that can and would kill you. She will protect them at all costs."

"Good, sounds like we have something in common. The point is without me your sister is going to die and you can't even bother to say thank you."

" Don't feel like you are doing any favors for me. We owe you nothing. You seriously want to swoop in here and act like you are some hero? How many people's blood is on your hands?"

Cailin could feel her anger growing by the second.

"He doesn't hurt women or children." Hope says in Paddy's defense.

Cailin takes a step back and stares in disbelief at her mother.

"Are you seriously justifying this man mom?"

"He has his limits. It's all business. The people he hurts are bad people."

"What in the actual fuck mom? So what, because he only hurts bad people, that makes his actions excusable? Are you even hearing yourself right now?!"

Maura shook her head.

"You know what, I'm done with this whole conversation. Mom you can stay, go or whatever the hell you want to do but I'm taking Cailin home."

Maura begins to make her way back over to her sister when she stops abruptly and faces Paddy one last time.

"You say you love me, us right?"

Paddy nods.

"Then why? Why did you give us away? Why did you not keep us, and protect us like a father is supposed to? Why Paddy?"

Maura's anger was slowly turning into hurt and sadness.

"My father would have killed you. He would have killed Hope. He even would have killed me. The best thing I could do to protect you, was to make sure you grew up as far away from this life as possible. I don't have a choice. I was born into this.My children though, you will never face that decision. You would have been given the same curse I was even if you did manage to not be killed. I didn't want that for you. I have always protected you."

Maura begins to cry as the tears start to pour down her face.

"You have a choice Paddy. You just walk away! There are options out there to protect you. If you love us as you claim you do, walk away from it and prove to us you love us."

Hope shakes her head.

"He won't Maura. Trust me, i've tried that. Let's go home. There is nothing more for us here. We got what we came for."

As they turn to leave Hope turns back to face Paddy once more.

"When you're ready to give it up, to come home to your family, you let me know."

With that, she followed her girls out of the building.

Down the road in the unmarked, Riley's head was reeling from everything she had heard. She shook her head from side to side.

"Jane is not going to believe this." She pulls out her phone to call her partner and let her know Maura and Cailin are safe.
