It was an unnaturally scorching and humid three o'clock in the afternoon on a small isle named Meishu Island located somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The remote island basked under the glorious rays of the sun unprotected due to the significant lacking of clouds in the sky. The ocean breeze was usually enough to be a natural cooling agent for all of the inhabitants of the island. However, this was not the case this time. The only space that was cool enough to lounge in were any of the buildings in the area with built-in air-conditioning units. As much as the campers of the island wanted to stay inside their enclosed spaces, they were forced to come out under the sun and make an uncomfortable journey to the radio shack.

The campers' leaders, Naoki and Kaya, discovered a new transmission. As soon as they have received the message, they have asked their loyal lackey, Kaoru, to inform and gather everyone to the shack. Immediately, Kaoru went around the island informing everyone he could find about the transmission and his leaders' request for another meeting. Some were not particularly excited by this while others were looking forward to the new transmission. One of these people who were excited about the transmission was Mitsue.

After being informed by Kaoru, Mitsue quickly grabbed his monopad from his cabin and went outside. I wonder what could the transmission be about. I hope it will be good news for all of us. We really need anything that can lift everyone's spirit. After the tragic fate of Kia and Orie, I don't think this group can handle any more unfavorable news.

Waiting for him was Connor who was still standing in front of Mitsue's cabin. Once Mitsue stepped outside of his porch, Connor waved to him, "Hey dude! I thought we could go to the shack together, if that is fine with you, bro."

Nodding his head, Mitsue replied, "I don't see any problem with that. Let's go ahead. We don't want to make people wait for us."

"Oh, dude, before we go, Kaoru asked me if we could wait for the others he can find staying in their cabins. He said it would be better if all of the people he can find here could go together and I told him that we could totally wait for them. Is that cool to you?" Connor asked.

"I am fine with that. I am sure it wouldn't take long for Kaoru to round up the others." Mitsue commented, looking at Kaoru knocking on someone else's door.

After a few minutes, Kaoru rejoined the two with two other people following him. Waving at Connor and Mitsue, Kaoru shouted, "Sorry for making both of you wait. It must have been dreadful for both of you to wait under the sun. I am really sorry about that!" Mitsue looked at the two men Kaoru found. Kaito and Hiroto… Of course, they are the ones Kaoru found staying in their cabins. They are loners after all. Where else would they stay?

Mitsue turned to Connor. Right away, he saw Connor's face lit up with his lips curving into a big beautiful smile. Why does he look so excited to see these three? I wonder what goes on inside this man's head.

"Totally not a problem bro! Both of us could have waited longer for you dude!" Connor replied to Kaoru, waving his hand.

"We did not mind the sun that much." Mitsue waved his hand denyingly.

"Hello Kaito and Hiroto!" Connor greeted the two.

"Hi Connor…" Kaito greeted Connor, awkwardly raising his hand. On the other hand, Hiroto simply glared at Connor.

"Don't be so cold to me bro!" Connor patted Hiroto on the shoulder smilingly. I don't know what made Connor think it is okay for him to approach Hiroto like that. Can't he see Hiroto does not want to be touched by him? Connor, can't you sense the irritation from Hiroto?

Hiroto was scowling at Connor. Hiroto hates it. Connor should distance himself from Hiroto. He might get reprimanded by him. I don't think he will take it well if Hiroto does.

Suddenly, Mitsue tugged Connor by his sleeve and pulled him away from Hiroto. Looking at Connor straight in the eyes, Mitsue said, "I think we should give him his personal space." Mitsue tilted his head towards Hiroto.

The two of them looked at Hiroto whose glare intensified. I understand now how Kaito felt as the receiving end of that death stare. I do feel like his eyes will pierce through me. Now, I get why Kaito immediately hid behind me yesterday. I would run away from that cold stare.

Letting go of Connor's sleeve, Mitsue asked, "Do you understand what I said?"

"Completely dude!" Connor nodded. "Totally my bad! Sorry about that Hiroto! I will not do that again to you my bro! Just tell me dude next time if I bother you again."

All of a sudden, Hiroto's stare relaxed back to his normal cold aloof glance. It looks like he has calmed down. For whatever reason, I am thankful for it. I don't think I will be able to go on any longer if he continued to look at us like that. I really want to know what makes him snap. I want to understand him more.

After a few seconds of silence, Kaito, awkwardly raising his hand, asked Kaoru, "Should we go now? Aren't Kaya and Naoki waiting for us?"

"Oh, right! The four of you should go on ahead." Kaoru answered, gesturing to the four to go.

"What about you Kaoru?" Mitsue asked.

"I still need to go around and look for the others. It seems that the others aren't here. Do you have any clue where they could be?" Kaoru asked the four.

"Some might be in the hall right now." Mitsue suggested.

"I will go there and check it out then. You should go." Kaoru replied, nodding to Mitsue. Right away, Kaoru continued with his search. As he was walking away from them, the four could hear the aromatherapist mumble, "Why can't all of you just stay inside your cabins? Who stays outside of their cabins under this heat?"

With only four of them left, Connor shouted, "Let's go to the radio shack then."

The three other men agreed and made their way to the shack. At the beginning of their journey, the four of them were fairly silent. Going to the shack, Kaito and Connor led the group while Mitsue and Hiroto tailed the two. At first, no one speaking. The uncomfortable awkwardness between the four was palpable, not until someone pointed it out.

Turning to Mitsue and Hiroto, Connor commented, "Guys, what is up with this vibe? Bro, this is totally awkward. Aren't you three like a squad? Don't you guys hang out usually?"

Kaito and Hiroto were surprised to hear this. Upon hearing this, Kaito suddenly stopped walking making Hiroto bump into him.

"Phobos and Deimos! I am sorry Hiroto!" Kaito immediately turned to Hiroto. "I didn't mean to bump into you. Please don't glare at me." Don't tell me Hiroto will glare at Kaito again.

Instinctively, Mitsue looked at Hiroto. Surprisingly, Hiroto only had a blank expression on his face. He minded Connor earlier but he does not mind Kaito right now. What is up with you? What does make you snap? Help me understand you.

Laughing at Kaito, Connor commented, "Dude, why are you apologizing to him as if you stabbed him? What you did bro is only an accident and is nothing compared to what I did earlier to him. I think you are safe from his unholy death glare."

"Huh?" Kaito asked, looking at Connor.

"Look at him. He is not even angry about it." Connor added, pointing at Hiroto.

Looking at Hiroto, Kaito let out a sigh of relief. "Holy Triton! He isn't glaring at me." Kaito mumbled under his breath.

"He could not possibly get angry at you the way he was angry at me since you are one of his best buds!" Connor declared, giggling.

"What did you say?" Kaito asked.

"Aren't you guys like a squad or something? Don't you like hang out together like yesterday?" Connor asked.

"We only toured the new area together yesterday but that was it." Kaito shared, waving his hands frantically denyingly.

"But isn't that what a squad would do? Wait a second!" Connor shouted, holding his right hand out. What is it this time? Did you finally realize we are not actually, as what you would call us, a squad?

"Guys, is this situation because of me?" Connor asked. What? I mean it is but what do you mean by "because of you"? If you mean it is because you misunderstood us the whole time, then yes. It is because of you that we are in this awkward situation.

"Dude, are you all awkward because of me? Is it because of me that you cannot act like best friends right now? Guys, don't tell me that is the reason?" Connor asked.

Kaito's jaw dropped as he dumbfoundedly stared at the saxophonist. With his eyes closed, Mitsue shook his head in disbelief. We are awkward with each other because we are not that close. We got together just once and, during that time, someone almost disintegrated due to someone's unnerving glare.

Putting his arm around Kaito, Connor added, "Guys, don't act all awkward around me! I won't judge you three! It is totally fine with me if you all act buddy-buddy with each other. Actually, I would be totally down to be part of your squad as well!" If only I could slap some sense into him, I would. Connor, no matter how much we try, I don't think you will believe us even if we flat out tell you. How innocent can you be?

Out of nowhere, Mitsue put his hand on Hiroto's shoulder. With a stoic face, Mitsue sarcastically shared, "That is right. We are best friends."

"I knew it!" Connor shouted, clapping his hands.

"The three of us are best friends?" Kaito asked, pointing at all of them.

"Just go along with it…" Mitsue whispered. Then, Mitsue looked at Hiroto with his left eyebrow raised.

"We are best friends…" Hiroto nodded.

"Now that we got that out of the way bros, I want to join your bro squad as well!" Connor shouted.

"Sure…" Kaito unsurely nodded to Connor.

"Yeah! I am so happy guys!" Connor shouted. Connor… I admire your innocence. I wish everyone can be like you. I wish I can be like you, someone who can be upfront when it comes to asking people to be their friends. I don't even dare to admit to people I enjoy their company.

"That is enough talk about our friendship. We should get a move on. Kaya and Naoki are waiting for us." Mitsue reminded the group as he pointed forward.

"That is right my buddy! Let's get going!" Connor shouted.

The four of them continued their journey under the scorching heat. As they made their way, Connor had his arm over Kaito the whole time while Mitsue and Hiroto continued to walk behind them. Throughout the walk, Connor was the one who had been talking, keeping the conversation going. Most of the time, Kaito was the one who engaged with Connor's lighthearted talk. From time to time, Mitsue would chime in, mostly because Kaito would look at him with his eyes begging for help. I never knew acting like a friend is tiring. How do people with more than one friend manage to maintain their energy all the time?

After a few minutes, the boys finally arrived at the shack. Immediately, they went inside where there was an air-conditioning unit. As soon as they entered, Kaito commented, "I missed the cool air. I love observing the sun but I am not going back out there when it is that hot."

Connor sat down on a chair. Looking at the three, he commented, "Dude, that was a fun walk, wasn't it?"

I don't have the energy to comment on that. Whatever Connor. Perceive however you want to perceive that walk. All I know is that it felt like I was slowly walking on a bed of charcoal in hell while I had three fools tagging along with me.

After a while, the four had finally settled in. Looking around the shack, Mitsue noticed that, except for Kaya and Naoki, they were the only ones in the room. We were the first to make it here? Where are the others? They must be on their way but are having a hard time because of the fucking sun!

The two leaders were sitting in front of the radio looking worriedly at each other. In Naoki's hand was the cassette tape. That must be the new transmission. I wonder what it could be. I hope it is something to look forward to.

Turning to the four of them, Kaya asked, "What took you so long?"

"Sorry for making you wait!" Kaito replied.

"Where are the others?" Kaya asked.

"The little dude is still looking for them." Connor answered.

"Kaoru should hurry up finding them. Everyone needs to hear this tape immediately." Kaya commented, nervously tapping on the table. Is there something wrong with the tape? I have never seen Kaya worried like this.

"Is everything alright? What is in the tape?" Mitsue asked.

"Listen to it to find out for yourself." Kaya answered.

Kaya's answer only made the four men worry.

"Naoki, what is wrong?" Mitsue asked.

The private investigator was silently sitting in his chair with his jaw clenched and his hands curled into fists. His anger was spilling out of him. It was as if steam was coming out of him. What made him angry like this? Is it because of the tape? I have never seen him fuming like this before. I need to hear what is in that tape.

"Can you play the tape now while we wait for the others?" Mitsue asked.

"No, we will only play it when everyone is here. We will wait until all of us are gathered here." Kaya answered.

After that, the six of them waited in silence for their fellow campers to join them. Occasionally, Connor would try to start a conversation but no one would engage with him. All of them were too preoccupied with the tape.

As time passed by, the shack grew livelier with campers filling up the place one by one oblivious of what they were about to hear. The last one to arrive was Akari who was escorted by a tired Kaoru. Once the two arrived, Kaoru immediately sat on the floor while Akari looked for a chair. What is up with this pompous display? Does she not care she made everyone wait for her?

"Where have you been?" Kaya asked the two.

"I am sorry my great leader! It took me a while to find Akari. It turned out she was sleeping inside her cabin. That is why when I knocked on her door earlier multiple times, she did not answer me. I was lucky enough that I have awoken her."

"Is there any chair left for me to sit on? I cannot stand for too long." Akari asked the group.

Unfortunately for her, all of the chairs had been taken. Rolling her eyes, Akari shouted, "I cannot deal with this. I was in the middle of my beauty sleep. I am going back to my cabin. You can all just tell me what is in that tape later."

As Akari was walking towards the door, Kaya shouted, "Stop right there! Where do you think you are going? Who said you can just leave like that?"

"What is wrong with me sleeping? I can just find out what the tape has from the others later. I don't get what the big deal is with this tape? It isn't like a tape will magically transport us back to our homes." Akari replied, flicking her hair off of her shoulder.

"This tape is a big deal! Just stay put, shut up, and listen to it!" Kaya shouted.

Kaya grabbed the tape from Naoki and put it inside the radio. As she was pushing the play button, Kaya mumbled, "This is the reason why I hate celebrities. All of you bask in praises making you feel like you are entitled to do everything you want thinking you are immune to all of the consequences of your actions."

After setting up the tape, Kaya turned to everyone. "Everybody, listen to the tape carefully. It has an important piece of news about the outside world. Ready yourself for what you are about to hear." Kaya sat down afterward.

"This seems like this transmission will be interesting. I wonder what it will do for our group?" Kai commented. Kai gets on my nerves. Can he just shut up for a second and not instigate drama? Based on how Kaya and Naoki were earlier, I don't think this is the time for stirring shit up.

The group silently waited for the tape to play. After a few seconds, the radio began to play the recording.

"Hello! Hello! Camp 5, Meishu Island, can anyone hear me? Hello! Hello! Camp 5, Meishu Island, can anyone hear me?" A familiar voice from the recording asked. The fact that we cannot respond to these transmissions is a pain in the ass. If only the microphone cord was not snipped, we would have been able to tell these people what had happened to us and ask them to get us out of here.

"Hello! Hello! Camp 5, Meishu Island, please respond to my call. We know you can hear us. We can see from our side your radio is on. Please respond to my call." The voice continued. This is fucking bullshit! Why did Monokuma have to destroy our radio! Fuck our life!

"If you do not want to respond, that is fine. As long as you can hear me, then we can proceed. I hope everyone is doing well despite staying on an unfamiliar island. Before I begin, I would like to reintroduce myself. I am Sunako Hekima. I was also the person who last contacted you." The woman on the radio shared. That is right. She was the one who revealed to us we were transported here because of them. I wonder what she will share with us this time. I really hope it is better than what I am expecting.

"Last time, I told you that our team will retrieve you as soon as possible. Based on our initial timeline, we would have sent out our team to rescue you by now." Sunako shared. There is a "but" to that sentence. I don't like where this is going.

"That is great to hear!" Yo shouted.

At once, Kaya shushed Yo, "Do not celebrate yet. Listen to the transmission."

The group continued listening to the transmission. "This was our original plan. However, we have to postpone your retrieval due to an unprecedented development here." What is this unprecedented development? What is going on over there? Did something horrible happen while we were staying here?

"A new group of ultimates has risen up to replace the old remnants. They have dubbed themselves the 'Neo-Remnants'. They are members of The Regime. Just like the old group, they have brought terror over the country with their tyrannical reign. However, unlike the previous group, they were able to immediately take action even though they were fairly new to the public due to the undying support of The Regime." The woman continued. This cannot be real. Are we really experiencing another terror attack from a bunch of teenagers again? What is happening to our country?

"Holy Jupiter and all of his giant moons…" Kaito commented, covering his mouth with his hand.

"The group is doing the exact same thing the previous remnants have done. However, we have noticed an alarming behavior from their group. Our team has observed that the group has been kidnapping the ultimates that we were not able to secure and bring to one of our secret camps. Only one of two things happen to these ultimates after getting kidnapped. They either join The Regime or be discovered as a corpse on a random sidewalk." People are dying again. I cannot believe this. We were only beginning to get back on our feet. How can this shit happen again? Why are people this twisted? Why do they have to be this extreme?

"I cannot believe this is happening again…" Otoha commented.

"Because of this, we cannot risk your lives and bring you back to the mainland. We cannot risk losing any one of you to The Regime either as a new member or as a corpse. I hope everyone can understand our decision. This is for your own good." Sunako added. If that is the case, it would be better to stay here. There would not be any problem with our current set-up if it wasn't for Monokuma and his idiotic killing game.

"For now, please stay safe on the island. Please bear being secluded from society for a longer period. This is for your own good. We do not want to keep you away from your family, friends, job, and responsibility for this long but this is what is best for everyone." Now that they have mentioned it, I wonder how our families and friends are. Are they being persecuted by The Regime? Knowing what happened to Kaito and Orie, the remnants and their supporters can be relentless to their targets and the people that are close to them. Are they doing anything to protect them as well? Is my family safe? I hope they are safe.

"If you are still there, please tell me if you are having any trouble so that we can help you out. We will try to help you out as much as we can from our side. Do not hesitate and tell me now if you are experiencing any problem." We are in big trouble. The island has been taken over and someone is ruling over us. They are forcing us to participate in a killing game just for their sick and twisted entertainment. Two of us are already dead and one of them was gruesomely executed in front of us. I want to shout all of this through the radio but I can't. The microphone has been snipped and we are left with no other choice but to listen.

"Since no one is responding to my question, I am assuming everything is fine over there. I hope it stays that way. Stay safe. I will try to contact you again when something happens over here. Goodbye Camp 5, Meishu Island." The transmission was cut and static began playing.

Kaya turned off the radio and took the tape out of it. Waving the tape in the air, Kaya addressed the group, "Now that everyone knows the severity of our situation, I hope everyone will take our situation more seriously. The people who are supposed to help us are stuck with their own problems. We are stuck on this island while a killing game is ongoing and there is no way we can tell this to them. We need to help out one another if we want to survive through this."

"Um… Kaya is… um… right… um… We need to… um… help out… um… one another… um… We only have… um… each other to… um… depend on… um… We need to be… um… united if we… um… want to win… um… against Monokuma…" Naoki shared. They are both right. No one is coming to help us. That means the only help we can get is from each other. We need to get through this together if we want to survive. We cannot waste our time bickering with one another anymore. However, knowing everyone here, I know some of them will be a pain in making them get in line with the fucking plan.

Suddenly, Kaito fell to his knees. With his eyes closed, the astrophysicist covered his head with his arms as he trembled immensely. Kaito began mumbling repeatedly, "I am going to die. I am going to die. I am going to die." He is breaking down again.

Quickly, Mitsue ran to Kaito. At once, Mitsue knelt beside Kaito and began stroking his back. Leaning to Kaito, Mitsue whispered, "There is no need to worry. Everything is alright. There is nothing to be afraid of. You are not going to die. I will not let that happen Kaito. I promise you will not die. No one will harm you."

"My sister is coming to get me. She will try to find me. It will be only a matter of days before she tracks me down. She will come here and take me with her. She will dip my hands in acid again. No… No… She will do something way worse. She will make me watch everyone's execution. I don't want to see more people dying. I don't want anyone here to die. I don't want to die." Kaito continued to whisper to himself.

Connor approached the two. "Dude, what is happening with him?" Connor asked.

"He is having a meltdown." Mitsue answered.

"Bro, how can I help?" Connor asked.

"Just give him space. Let me handle it." Mitsue said.

After nodding, Connor immediately backed away from the two. The group watched in silence as Mitsue tried to console the distraught astrophysicist. After a few more minutes, Kaito stopped whispering. However, he stayed in the same position avoiding everyone's gaze. After seeing Kaito was doing better, Mitsue stood up and left Kaito alone.

Turning to the group, Mitsue shared, "Just leave Kaito alone for now. Let him get back to his senses at his own pace."

Everyone agreed, except for one person.

With a huge grin, Kai asked, "What happened to him? What was our dear Kaito mumbling to himself? I want to know. Did you hear him clearly, Mitsue? Would you mind sharing it with us?" I don't have time to deal with this bastard! Can't he leave Kaito alone? Can't he see the person broke down in front of him? How heartless can he be to be trying to poke fun at someone in that state? Does he not have any conscience? Why does he have to be this way all the fucking time?

"Leave him the fuck alone Kai. It is not right to rattle someone who just had a mental breakdown. Let him rest. Can't you try to be a decent human being for once?" Mitsue shouted, glaring at Kai.

"What if I don't want to? What if I want to keep pestering him until he breaks down again? What are you going to do, huh? Are you going to stop me? How will you stop me? Tell me. Tell me why I should care about what you just said!" Kai incessantly asked. This douchebag is really testing my patience. You can fuck with me all you want but I will never tolerate anyone who messes with people who are already mentally exhausted.

"Kai, please stop it. You are not helping Kaito." Otoha shared.

"I know." Kai smiled at Otoha. I hate that fucking smile.

Out of nowhere, Mitsue punched Kai in the face. In a flash, Kai fell on the floor with eyes wide open. At once, Mitsue sat on top of Kai, grabbed him by the collar, and began shouting, "Never tease anyone who is already down! You don't know what that fucking shit can do to them! Your shitty words are more powerful than you think! One day, that fucking sloppy mouth of yours will harm someone and you will regret it for the rest of your life! You hear me! Change your fucking attitude!"

The shack was enveloped by total silence afterward. The group was stunned by what was happening. No one was able to do or say anything. Everyone froze, unsure of what to do. The only thing they can do was watch as things unfold.

Mitsue was about to throw another punch when Hiroto came out of nowhere and grabbed Mitsue's wrist. Turning to Connor, Hiroto asked, "Help me calm him down."

Immediately, Connor helped Hiroto forcefully remove Mitsue from Kai. Dragging Mitsue to the corner, Connor whispered, "Dude, calm down. I totally understand why you popped off bro but calm down. Try breathing slowly. It will totally help. Just don't mind that loser. Let the others deal with him."

After a few minutes, Mitsue finally calmed down. He leaned against the door and stared at the floor. Shaking his head, Mitsue whispered, "I fucked up again." I lost control again. I let my temper get the best of me. Why am I like this? Why do I always let Kai get the best of me? He is nothing but a pest. I know everything he says is nonsense. I should just pretend he is invisible. But, his words are too much to be ignored. It feels wrong to just ignore him.

Still lying on the floor, Kai touched his cheek that was punched by Mitsue. Staring at the ceiling, the drama writer smilingly commented, "Now that is what I call a punch! Wooh!" After a few seconds, he stood up. Patting off the dust from his pants, Kai added, "If finding out the remnants are back wasn't enough, I also got the drama I wanted! What more could I ask for?"

"Why are you being like this?" Yo asked.

"I don't get what you mean? I am ecstatic! I am completely over the moon! I feel like I could celebrate for days!" Kai answered.

"Aren't you disturbed by what could probably be happening out there? Why do you want to celebrate?" Akari asked.

"It is because I am a supporter! I love them! I want to see what they are doing right now! I want to be there with them giving it my all to support. I want to join them. Isn't it natural to support your idols when they come back from hiding? Yo, you are a fan club president. You probably understand how I feel. I want to get out of here and be there for them as soon as possible!" Kai answered, smilingly clapping his hands.

"Um… Aren't you… um… disgusted with… um… yourself… um… How can you be… um… happy with the… um… revival of… um… a terrorist group… um… They destroyed… um… so many people's… um… lives… um… With their… um… revival… um… more lives will be… um… devastated…" Naoki commented.

"Do I look like I care about that?" Kai replied, blankly staring at the private investigator.

"How can you be this cold? We are not only talking about your idols. We are also talking about other people's lives." Otoha commented.

"I don't care about them. All I care about is the drama my idols are about to create! I can already imagine the mayhem they will cause! Everyone will be talking about it non-stop. Every corner of the world will know their names and fear them. Not only will they rule Japan, but they will also take over the world. With that, they will be the cause of the biggest drama humanity will ever see unfold! I am so excited for what is about to come." Kai smilingly shouted as everyone looked at him with disgust shown on their face.

Turning to Naoki, Kai added, "The biggest clash of the century will happen. At the end, who will prevail? Will it be the remnants, the extremist group who wants to change the world with whatever means necessary? Or, will it be the ones who are opposed to this radical reformation and are satisfied already with the plain old boring status quo? Don't you want to see how things will unfold? Don't you want to contribute to the side you support?" Suddenly, Kai grabbed Naoki's hands, smilingly staring at Naoki's eyes.

Instantly, Naoki swatted Kai's hand off of his.

"Um… I don't… um… get why… um… you want to see… um… the world burn into… um… ashes…" Naoki commented.

"Because it is exciting! This world has been unbelievably boring! It needs drama to liven things up. And, the only way to do that is to have a villain that will disrupt the order. That is where the remnants come in. They are the ones that will disrupt the order changing this boring world into a drama I will never be able to keep my eyes off!" Kai shared.

All of a sudden, Mizuki burst into tears. The televangelist began to cry, catching everyone's attention. As her tears continuously flowed down her cheeks, Mizuki shared, "Why are we like this? Why people have lost their humanity? Why do we not show compassion anymore to the weak? Why do we revel in the misfortune of others? Why do we seek other people's damnation? This is too cruel. How did we lose our way as a society?"

Then, the little girl hugged Otoha who was standing beside her. Muffled by Otoha's clothes, Mizuki continued, "Otoha, why are people this cruel?"

Caressing her hair, Otoha whispered, "It is alright Mizuki. I am sure everyone will be able to go back to their senses. Let's continue to hope that everything will return to the way it was when everyone was happy, simply living their lives."

"Why are we always fighting about this?" Out of nowhere, Yo asked the group. Everyone looked at her as she stared at the ceiling, swaying her head from left to right.

"What do you mean?" Akari asked.

"We keep fighting about matters from the outside world. I just don't get it. We have a more pressing problem which is our current situation but we somehow still keep on fighting about things like this. Can't we just work together for now and fight about this later when we are already in the outside world? Shouldn't our main priority be surviving here?" Yo asked everyone. I didn't expect this to come from Yo but she is right. We keep fighting about labels that do not matter on this island. Despite having different opinions, we should work together since we all have the same goal which is to survive on this island.

Then, Yo looked at everyone. Instantly, waving her hands, Yo added, "But I am a nobody though. Those were just my opinion. You don't need to take it so seriously." Afterward, she stuck out her tongue.

After the whole fiasco, Kaya told everyone they may leave. One by one, the campers left leaving Kaya and Naoki alone in the shack.

It was already nine in the evening and the light blue sky had turned pitch black. The scorching sun was replaced by the luminous crescent moon in the sky. The stars had come out and began twinkling in the clear night sky. The sea breeze had been replaced by the cool land breeze rustling several trees and bushes as it made its way to the sea. The island is bombarded by different pop of colors as it is lit up by several bioluminescent objects found on the little isle.

Unlike the afternoon, the night was as peaceful as it could be. Most of the campers were already done with their day. They have secluded themselves inside their cabins after eating their dinner. The only thing left for them to do was lie down on their bed and wait to fall asleep.

Out of the twelve remaining campers, there is still someone who has not eaten their dinner. After waiting for everyone to finish their meals, Mitsue finally decided to visit the hall for his supper. Along with Rafiki on his shoulder, Mitsue snuck inside and quickly looked for something to eat. As he made his way to the kitchen, he instantly spotted a plate of food left out for him to eat on the table the group usually eats at. Just like the meals he had recently, the plate had a written label beside it with his name on it.

Taking a look at the plate of food, Mitsue grabbed the note. Who keeps giving me food to eat? I really want to thank them. I don't know why they would do something like this for me but I am thankful they do. If only I had something to compare this handwriting with, then, maybe, I will be able to determine who wrote this and left it out for me. He put down the note beside the plate of food and went to the vending machine.

Turning to Rafiki, Mitsue asked, "What do you want this time?"

Mitsue only watched the monkey's eyes as it scanned through the whole machine. After a few seconds, the monkey's eyes stopped. Mitsue looked back at the machine to see where the monkey's sight landed on. Peaches… You are in the mood to eat peaches for dinner. Okay then. Let me get it for you.

Right away, Mitsue chose the peaches for Rafiki. After a few seconds, he was able to collect the bag of peach for the monkey. Then, he walked back to the table where there was food left for him. Before beginning with his meal, Mitsue opened the bag and gave the peach to the monkey. Rafiki happily grabbed the peach from Mitsue. You are a glutton, you know.

After giving the peach, Mitsue's focus turned to his meal. What do we have for tonight? We have lobster on top of a bed of noodles and what seems to be a clear broth served in a separate bottle. For dessert, we have a mooncake. And, I have a glass of water. It looks like I will be having an amazing dinner tonight!

Grabbing his chopsticks, Mitsue began digging in. The noodles with the broth are so delicious. And, the lobster only makes the dish more lavish than it already is. Whoever saved this for me is spoiling me for my dinner. After a few minutes, Mitsue was already done with his noodles and moved on with his mooncake.

As he was eating his dessert, Mitsue watched Rafiki enjoy its juicy peach. You are not just a glutton. You are also a messy eater, Rafiki! Look at the juice spilling on the table. And, your fur is soaking in it as well. It is a good thing you are eating here, not in my room. I would have to clean up so much of your mess if you did.

While still eating his mooncake, Mitsue rested his head on his hand, staring at the monkey. You look adorable eating that peach. You do not give a fuck if you get messy. All you care about is eating that damn peach. I wish I can be as carefree as you right now. Look at me properly eating this mooncake. Rules have taken over my life. Everything I do is based on a rule. Why do I have to be so rule-driven? Maybe I would be having more fun just like you right now.

Shaking his head, Mitsue commented, "I never thought I would see a monkey enjoy a peach this much up close." Staring at the monkey, Mitsue let out a short giggle.

I cannot believe I am actually fine with being like this with you right now. I didn't think I would be okay eating with you. Just this morning, I really thought of tossing you out of my cabin. When you messed up my room, I wanted to do something despicable just to get back at you. How come I am fine with this now? What did you do to me, little monkey?

After a few seconds, the monkey was done with its peach. It threw the stone into Mitsue's empty bowl. Then, it walked towards Mitsue. "Are you done eating?" Mitsue asked the monkey.

The monkey only smilingly stared at him. Noticing the drippings of the juice on its fur, Mitsue grabbed a tissue and carefully wiped it off from Rafiki. If you are going to be a messy eater, learn how to clean after yourself. What if I don't have the conscience to wipe off the juice? Will you stay sticky until for some reason the juice is removed from your fur? What if nobody is here to take care of you? What then?

Suddenly, the monkey grabbed Mitsue's finger. "Let go of my hand! I am still cleaning you!" Mitsue said as he tried to shake the monkey off. Unexpectedly, Rafiki hugged his hand, making Mitsue stop. Why are you like this? Don't hug my hand. Stop doing anything adorable like that. Refrain from doing anything that makes you more adorable. Please make it stop.

He let go of the tissue and let Rafiki continue to hug it. As he took a bite of his mooncake, he continued to watch Rafiki. I guess these are the moments that made Kia choose you as her best friend. Anyone who is as isolated as her would love this kind of lovely physical contact. You must have made her felt wanted. I will let you continue to hug my hand. You must have missed that kind of physical contact. I will let you have it until I am finished with my mooncake. But, once I am done, I am pushing you off of my hand. Just be prepared for it little monkey, okay?

After a few more minutes, Mitsue was done with his mooncake. Just like he told himself, he tried to push the monkey off of him. It is time to let go of my hand. Mitsue began slowly pushing the monkey away from him. However, Rafiki continued to cling to him. "Rafiki, get off of my hand. Please give me my hand back. I need it already and you've hugged it for a long time already. Fine! After I count to ten, let go." Mitsue began counting. As soon as he reached ten, he forcefully pushed him off of his hand freeing it from the monkey. I am glad to have my hand back!

Once his hands were both free, Mitsue began cleaning up the table. As he was about to stand up to go to the kitchen with his used bowl and utensils, the door of the hall slowly opened. Watching this, he could faintly hear the person on the other side of the door sing.

"I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter… Dancing through the fire… Cause I am the champion… And you're gonna hear me roar… oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh…" The person sang. I feel like I have heard this singing voice before? When did I hear this voice in the past?

Seconds after, the door was finally opened and it was none other than Naoki. Once Naoki saw Mitsue, he stopped singing. The two of them stared at each other clueless about what to do in that situation. It was Naoki! I remember it now! I heard him sing a song before. Was it Teenage Fever or Teenage Dream? But regardless of its name, it was sung by the singer in his list of likes. This must be another song of that singer.

"It looks like whenever we are alone, I would hear you sing." Mitsue commented, giggling at Naoki.

"Um… It seems to be… um… like that…" Naoki replied, slowly nodding his head.

"What were you singing this time?" Mitsue asked.

"Um… Roar by… um… Katy Perry…" Naoki answered, avoiding Mitsue's gaze.

"It is the same singer of the song you sang last time right? What was the song again?" Mitsue asked.

"Teenage dream…" Naoki answered.

"You really like her songs, don't you?" Mitsue added.

Naoki simply nodded. Naoki can be adorable when singing his favorite songs. I wish people can see this side of his as well. I am sure I am not the only one who will love to see him like this. But, if he does, I am sure Yo will go crazy for this and Kai will tease him for it non-stop. Nevermind. He should keep this to himself while he is still stuck with a bunch of weirdos on this island.

Looking at the clock in the hall, Mitsue saw the time. It is already half past nine. What is he doing here anyway? Shouldn't he be sleeping right now? He has a long day ahead of him tomorrow. He needs all of the sleep he can get as a leader. What does he need from this place?

"By the way, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" Mitsue asked.

"Um… I have been… um… monitoring… um… the radio shack… um… with Kaya… um… just in case… um… we receive… um… a new transmission… um… Because of… um… that… um… I haven't had… um… dinner yet…" Naoki answered.

"Oh! You are here to grab dinner?" Mitsue asked.

Naoki nodded.

"Do you want me to cook for you? Just tell me what you want and I can whip up something quick." Mitsue added.

"Um… There is… um… no need… um… for that…" Naoki waved his hands frantically. Oh, that is right. He does not want me to cook him food. Why would he? He probably does not trust me. He is wary of me right now.

"Of course… Why would you want food cooked by me?" Mitsue mumbled, lowering his head.

"Um… It's not… um… like that…" Naoki commented.

"Are you going to cook your own food?" Mitsue asked.

"Um… I don't know… um… how to cook…" Naoki shared.

"So, what are you going to eat then?" Mitsue asked.

"Um… As usual… um… cup noodles…" Naoki answered. What does he mean by "as usual"? Does he regularly consume cup noodles? Doesn't he know it is bad for him to consume so much of it?

"Do you regularly eat cup noodles?" Mitsue continued with his line of questions.

Nodding his head, Naoki answered, "Um… Even… um… before getting… um… stuck here… um… my regular meal is… um… cup noodles… um… since it is… um… filling… um… cheap… um… and quick to cook."

"There are a lot of cheap and easy-to-cook recipes online. Why don't you try learning how to cook?" Mistue suggested.

"Um… As much as I… um… want to… um… I don't have… um… time… um… I am… um… always busy with my… um… work… um… and… um… I have… um… no one to… um… teach me…" Naoki replied.

"What about your parents? Can't they teach you?" Mitsue asked.

Naoki was surprised by Mitsue. He only stared at him. What happened to him? Did I say something wrong?

"Did I say something?" Mitsue asked, pointing at himself.

"Um… My parents are… um… dead…" Naoki answered. Oh my gosh! I forgot about that! Monokuma told us about it as part of his motive last time. How can I completely forget about something that important? Get your head straight, Mitsue!

"I am so sorry for bringing that up! I completely forgot about it." Mitsue apologized.

"Um… It is… um… alright… um… I know you… um… did not… um… mean to…" Naoki replied.

"I am really sorry! I truly mean it!" Mitsue said.

Naoki nodded. Pointing at the vending machine with cup noodles, Naoki said, "Um… I will… um… go grab… um… my dinner…"

Mitsue nodded. With Rafiki on his shoulder, he went to the kitchen and left the used bowl and utensils in the sink. Why did I say that? I am so dumb! It must have been extremely uncomfortable for him for me to bring up his dead parents.

Turning to Rafiki, Mitsue asked, "Why did I say something so stupid like that? Do you know why? You are so lucky you can't speak because you will not be able to say anything you will regret." For a few seconds, Mitsue stayed inside the kitchen suffering in silence as he repeatedly looked back at what he said.

After he has calmed down, Mitsue went on his way. Going out of the kitchen, Mitsue stopped when Naoki was in front of the door. I should probably say something…

"If you ever want to learn how to cook, you can ask me to teach you. As the new leader, you should take care of yourself since a lot of people depend on you. You should eat healthier. You shouldn't be eating cup noodles constantly." Mitsue offered.

Naoki chuckled.

"Did I say something funny?" Mitsue asked.

"Um.. No… um… It is just that… um… Kaya told me… um… the same thing… um… as well… um… about my… um… eating habits… um… before coming… um… here… um… Thanks for the… um… offer… um… I will… um… take note of… um… that…" Naoki answered.

"I will get going then. Enjoy your dinner." Mitsue waved Naoki a goodbye and left.

With Rafiki on his shoulder, he went straight to his cabin. Strolling in the peaceful night, Mitsue marveled at the beautiful glowing objects. I feel like I am in a whimsical amusement park with these glowing trees and mushrooms. I rarely have time to appreciate them. I should try to admire them as much as I can while I am walking.

Mitsue continued with his stroll. Eventually, he reached his cabin. Once he did, he changed into his sleeping attire and quickly went to bed with Rafiki sleeping beside him.

It was only minutes before five in the morning and the sun still has not risen. The sky was pitch-black and the stars were still visible. The island's bioluminescent flora is still glowing, lighting up the isle. The morning breeze swirled through the island swooshing its way through trees and branches and scattering the leaves that have fallen to the ground. The campers on the island are still sleeping peacefully, except for a few of them. One of these campers is Mitsue.

Already changing into his casual clothes, Mitsue was preparing for the day. Hiroto must be awake already. He usually wakes up this early to rake. I cannot let him do that on his own this early now that I am his partner. It would be unfair for him to do it alone. I need to be useful to the group even though I am not the leader anymore. I will still remain to be the responsible me. Mitsue nodded to himself.

After a few minutes, Mitsue was finished dressing. Afterward, he went to his bedside table to grab his monopad. Grabbing his tablet, Mitsue looked at Rafiki who was still sleeping on his bed. As he was watching it, the monkey turned its face away from Mitsue. Keep sleeping little one. Don't mess up my room again like you did yesterday when you wake up or else I will seriously kick you out of this cabin.

Once he got his monopad, Mitsue put it inside one of the pockets of his hoodie. Then, he walked to his door. Before opening the door, Mitsue turned around to look at Rafiki one last time. "I am serious. Don't do anything stupid. I will kick you out if you do. I do not want to kick you out." Mitsue whispered, pointing at Rafiki. After that, he went out.

Walking out of his room, he immediately spotted Hiroto already raking. I knew it. He was already raking. I should help him out already. At once, Mitsue ran towards Hiroto. Once he was in front of the model, he stopped.

Waving hello, Mitsue greeted, "Good morning Hiroto!"

Suddenly, he stopped raking and looked at Mitsue. Waving his hand as well, Hiroto monotonously greeted, "Good morning to you too." That was a surprise. I did not expect him to greet me back. Thinking it was Hiroto, I thought he was only going to nod. He must have woken up at the right side of his bed for once. I wonder what else he would do today that he would not normally do.

Unconsciously, Mitsue smiled at Hiroto.

Looking at Mitsue straight in the eyes, Hiroto asked, "Why are you smiling?"

Surprised, Mitsue asked, "Was I smiling at you?"

Hiroto nodded. Shit! Why did I smile at him? Stop being weird and do your job. Don't make Hiroto feel uncomfortable. You do not want to get Hiroto's death glare. He will lose his focus on his task. Don't distract him. Just help him. That's what you should do as his partner.

"Sorry! I guess I was surprised that you greeted me back. It was kind of nice to be greeted by you normally." Mitsue explained himself.

Turning his back to Mitsue, Hiroto shared, "I left your rake by the tree over there. Just grab it and start raking."

Patting on Hiroto's shoulder, Mitsue said, "Thanks for grabbing the other rake for me." He really is focused on his task. He even grabbed my rake so we can do it quickly and I would not waste time looking for it in the tool shed. He says he is not diligent but look at him doing things like this for a task.

Mitsue ran to the tree and quickly grabbed the rake. As soon as he had the rake, he began with his chore. While Hiroto focused on the area near the men's cabin, Mitsue raked nearer the women's. The two men were fairly quiet while doing their tasks. Neither of the two minded each other. They would only exchange words when it is about their task.

Focused on his task, Mitsue did not notice he was humming the song Kaito played for both of them. As he raked, he mumbled random words while he softly sang the tune of the song. A little more and I will be finished with this area. Mitsue continued raking like this for quite some time. After a few more minutes of unconsciously singing gibberish, Mitsue stopped.

"I am done in this area. I will begin raking near Mizuki's cabin." Mitsue shouted.

As Mitsue began to rake again, Hiroto asked him, "Are you going to sing again while you rake?"

Mitsue asked, "Sing again? I don't sing?" What is he talking about?

"You were singing while raking earlier." Hiroto pointed out.

"I was? I am sorry if I bothered you." Mitsue replied. I was singing? What was I singing? This is so embarrassing!

"It is alright. I actually found it hilarious that you were singing…" Hiroto added, still raking.

"Did I sound that bad?" Mitsue asked.

"Not really. It was just that you were making up words as you sang." Hiroto explained. I was making up lyrics? How embarrassing! The sun hasn't risen and I have already embarrassed myself in front of Hiroto twice. How else can I fuck up my morning?

"What was I singing? Was I making up the tune as well?" Mitsue asked.

"You were singing what Kaito played for us." Hiroto answered. At least the tune wasn't made up. Why am I acting like this today? Please don't let it be some kind of omen of bad luck.

"What song did Kaito play for us again?" Mitsue asked.

"Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi." Hiroto answered.

"When Kaito played it for us, it was my first time to hear the song. I guess the tune got stuck in my head." Mitsue shared.

"It is a catchy tune." Hiroto commented.

"Did you know the song?" Mitsue asked.

"I do. It was once used as background music for one of my modeling gigs." Hiroto shared. That is right. He was humming it when Kaito played the saxophone. From what I can remember, he did sound okay singing. I wonder if he sings when he is alone.

"Do you sing? I heard you were humming the song as well the other day." Mitsue asked.

"When did you hear me?" Hiroto asked.

"When Kaito was playing, I turned around and heard you were humming it." Mitsue answered.

"Please forget about it." Hiroto replied.

"Why? You didn't sound bad. I thought your voice was fine." Mitsue asked. I guess he is embarrassed about his singing voice. But, he has an okay singing voice. He shouldn't be that ashamed of it to ask someone to forget about hearing him.

"I don't like singing for people. I only like singing for my own." Hiroto added.

"That is a shame. I thought you sounded wonderful. I would like to hear you sing properly someday." Mitsue shared.

Sighing, Hiroto stopped. "Mitsue…" Hiroto called, turning to Mitsue. This is the first time I heard him say my name.

Mitsue stopped as well. Looking at Hiroto, he asked, "What is it?"

Suddenly, the model began singing. As usual, Mitsue was unable to identify the song. However, he was enjoying Hiroto's impromptu performance. He can sing. His voice sounds like velvet. For some reason, his voice matches his looks. I don't know how to describe it other than saying he sounds handsome. If women heard him sing, I am sure they would have gone mad for him. Yo would probably say he is an idol-material. With his talent and looks, he seems like he has a lot of opportunities in the entertainment industry. If that is the case, I wonder if he thought about it. But knowing what he told me earlier about only wanting to sing for himself, he probably shut down that idea. But, if that is the case, why is he singing to me right now? He is so confusing.

"Like a bridge over troubled water, I will ease your mind…" Hiroto ended his singing.

"You sound wonderful when you are properly singing." Mitsue commented, clapping his hand.

"Now that I have sung in front of you, don't make me sing ever again." Hiroto added. Did I make him sing for me? I don't recall asking him to sing for me. Maybe he misunderstood me. But, I am glad because I was able to hear his voice.

"What song did you sing?" Mitsue asked.

"Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water." Hiroto answered.

"Why did you choose to sing that song?" Mitsue asked.

"It reminds me about a friend of mine." Hiroto answered. He has a friend? I am shocked to hear that. No offense to him but he looks like a total loner like me. I wonder how he became friends with that person. I bet that person had a hard time making Hiroto open up. Who has the patience to befriend someone like him? It must be someone like Connor. I am impressed with whoever that person is.

After that, the two men continued raking. Mitsue only had one area left to clean up. It was near Orie's cabin. As he was doing his task, he could not help but steal glances at the empty cabin. This cabin is extremely quiet now that Orie is gone. Although we weren't that close, I could tell Orie was a sweet girl. It was so sad how things ended up for her. She was blinded by rage and ended up killing Kia the way she did. Anger can turn the sweetest girl into the most vile monster. If only she controlled her temper… But, who am I to judge her? I don't know how much she was suffering. She must have been traumatized beyond imagination. And, between the two of us, I am the one who needs to learn how to control his temper.

As he stared at Orie's cabin, he was reminded by what happened during the trial. Her execution was brutal. And, the way it was done was disgusting. It was as if the execution was done as torture porn. It is the only way I could describe it. Everything that could have been done to her was done to her. She was cut, bruised, and stabbed to the point that she became unrecognizable. And to top it all of, her corpse was burnt to crisp. She wasn't even given a proper funeral.

This whole execution system is based on an antiquated belief. An eye for an eye… What an outdated principle to live by. Ironically for Orie, the ideal that was used for the execution was the same with the ideal she had that drove her mad. She wanted so bad to get even with Kia that she killed her. In the end, the justice system on this island wanted to get even with her for killing Kia as well.

As he was raking, he imagined himself being in the trial room. Kia is on my right while Orie is on my left. If we ever have another trial, god forbid, I will be sandwiched between two empty podiums. I will be isolated from everyone. How lonely would that be? I hope there won't be any more trials in the future.

Even the way Orie was dragged out of the room was painful. As he was reminiscing, a thought popped into his head. Before Orie was dragged out, she told me something. She told me to take her notebook from her cabin. Why should I take it? It doesn't seem important to me. But, maybe she knows something. I need to check it out after I am done with this.

The two men continued raking for a few minutes more until they were done with the whole area. Once they were finished, Mitsue approached Hiroto. "Where do we keep the rake?"

"Just put it on your porch so that you can grab it anytime easily." Hiroto answered.

After that, Mitsue left his rake on his porch. He went inside to check on Rafiki. Once he opened the door, the monkey jumped onto him. Surprised, Mitsue commented, "Oh, you are awake already. Did you mess with my shit inside?" Mitsue peeked inside and saw nothing was out of place. That is good. I don't have to kick you out.

After seeing everything, Mitsue closed his cabin and went straight to Orie's. As he was walking up to Orie's porch, someone called him.

"Mitsue, what are you doing there?" Hiroto asked.

"I was going to check out something. Orie told me to grab a notebook before she was executed." Mitsue answered.

"Can I join you?" Hiroto asked. Why does he want to come? Maybe, he doesn't trust me. I understand that though. Also, I don't really have any reason to turn him down. I don't have anything to hide.

Mitsue nodded, gesturing his hand to come with him. As soon as the two went inside, they quickly began looking around.

"What kind of notebook are you looking for?" Hiroto asked.

"I am not sure. Orie only told me to grab her notebook with no description of what it is." Mitsue answered. How will I find a notebook I have no idea about? I hope I will be able to find it quickly.

After that, the two men split up and began their search. Mitsue first looked through Orie's cabinet. Immediately, he noticed something about it. It is empty. But, where are her clothes? There is no other place in this room where Orie could have kept her clothes. What happened to them? Did it suddenly vanish?

Mitsue continued his search in the bathroom. Just like the cabinet, it was empty. It seems like this room was vacated as soon as Orie was executed. Where are her belongings? Who would take them? Where would they hide it?

After a few minutes of aimlessly searching for the notebook, Mitsue found nothing. After the tiring fruitless search, he sat on the bed beside Hiroto. "Did you find anything?" Mitsue asked.

Hiroto shook his head. Where could Orie's notebook go? Not just her notebook though, everything she owned is missing. It was as if someone ransacked her cabin clean. Whoever did this must have Orie's notebook.

"Where is Orie's notebook?" Mitsue asked.

"Are you looking for this?" A voice from behind him asked.

The two men turned around and found Monokuma on the bed holding what looks like a red notebook. Caught off guard, they stood up from the bed and stared down at Monokuma. Is that Orie's notebook?

"Are you looking for Orie's notebook?" Monokuma asked, waving the notebook in front of them.

"How did you know?" Mitsue asked.

"Idiot, I have a wide surveillance system throughout this island. I can easily pick up everything you say, evern if you whispered it softly." Monokuma explained.

"Can we have it?" Mitsue asked.

"I am sorry but it is camp policy that every object a camper leaves will be confiscated by the head camp counselor." Monokuma answered

"That is not true! Nothing like that is stated in the rules!" Mitsue replied.

"It is now!" Monokuma shouted.

Suddenly, Mitsue's and Hiroto's monopads buzzed. Taking out his monopad, Mitsue saw a new rule was posted.

Rule #21

Every object left behind by a camper is to be confiscated by the head camp counselor.

"What are you trying to hide from us in that notebook?" Mitsue asked.

"I am not hiding anything. I am only being respectful to their previous owner's privacy. I don't want their dirty little secrets to be exposed to the public. After all, it is the least I can do as the head camp counselor." Monokuma answered, acting innocently. What a load of bullcrap was that. You are definitely hiding something and Orie knows it and has written it down in that notebook. If anything, this only makes me want to get it more.

"If you truly want to be respectful, hand me the notebook. Orie wanted me to have it before you killed her." Mitsue shared, reaching out his hand.

"No can do! Sorry! You can only get your friend's belongings during your final assessment." Monokuma shared. Final assessment? When will that be? For all I know, it might be too late then to use whatever it has as leverage against Monokuma.

"I will get my hands on that notebook someday." Mitsue declared, pointing at the notebook.

"I will be glad to see you try. Hahahaha! Anyway, I have to run! Gotta do my morning announcement. And, stay tuned for my surprise." Monokuma disappeared. What surprise is he talking about?

Suddenly, an announcement was aired. "Good morning campers! It is time to wake up! Today will be an exciting one! Hahahaha!"

What was that about?

All of a sudden, Mitsue's and Hiroto's monopads buzzed again. They took it out and found a new notification.

"You got mail?" Mitsue read out loud.
