Daybreak Great Hall – Ballroom
Night…
The soulful music ends as Zero flutter his eyes open to reveal his emotional swirling in his amethyst orbs. He has received applause from his audience since his performance was truly majestic. However, he couldn't control the tears coming from his eyes as he forced to hold them back. From his sight, he can only see the blurry. The silver-haired hunter stood up from the leather piano bench, effortlessly and gracefully that he slipped off the stage and stride toward out of the ballroom skillfully. He needs a private moment alone.
Once he walked down to the hallway and instantly threw himself in the fancy large men's restroom. He steps toward the sink and placed his gloved hands onto the counter between the sink. His amethyst orbs stare at the reflection of his mask face. His eyes are filled with turmoil with overwhelming emotions. When he started playing the piano for the first time in forever, the memories have been invading in his mind.
All the goods and the bad memories.
However, one thing that hit him the most.
[A young Ichiru was currently sitting on the window seat with sunlight shines through the open window. His innocent eyes twinkle at the photo in his hands. Slowly, when he looked up and saw young Zero who approached him with curiosity. Ichiru lifted up the photo, turned it around, and display a beautiful young woman. A young Zero leaned to observe the mystery woman confused and puzzled then he shrugged his shoulders. Young Ichiru turned the photo back to him and hugged it. Young Zero didn't understand but decided to leave it alone.]
Zero recalled that old memory. At that time, he didn't know why Ichiru kept that photo for months before his family was murdered by the pureblood vampire. He didn't understand what is so special about that unknown woman until he now.
The silver-haired hunter recognized that woman from the photo.
It was Miwa, their birth mother.
"Ichiru… did you know? That time…" Zero whispered, puzzling as he wonders if his younger twin brother knew the truth. If his twin knew that Miwa was their biological mother, then why didn't he tell Zero about it?
Most of all, how did Ichiru knew Miwa?

Daybreak Great Hall – Ballroom
Meanwhile…
Kaname searches for a silver-haired creature while gliding through the crowd with a confused frown. He couldn't find Zero anywhere as he was hoping that he could ask the beautiful creature for a dance. The Pureblood Prince furrowed his eyebrows, wondering where on could the standoffish prefect is.
"Kaname-senpai!" a light feminine voiced out that Kaname easily recognized. He paused, turned halfway, and saw Yuuki quickly rushing toward him with a shy smile on her face. His auburn eyes observed her appearance as he knew she looks pretty. He waited for Yuuki to get close while examined his feelings toward her.
He feels….
Love.
Platonic love.
Kaname hummed with interest that he didn't realize his feelings for Yuuki has changed. He didn't know how, nor when but he couldn't do anything about it except accepted it. Kaname still cares about his sister, of course. He wants to make sure she is happy and safe. When Yuuki is near, Kaname smiles politely at her.
"Hello, Yuuki." He greeted Yuuki warmly. Happy to see his sister as it's not often he gets to interact with her outside of the school ground. "I'm happy that you're wearing the dress."
Yuuki blushes happily and nervously. "Ah, hai. I wanted to say how thankful I am for the dress." She bowed politely. "Thank you."
Kaname smiles as his auburn softens. "That dress looks really nice on you." He knew that his sister is very naturally pretty. 'She looks remarkably like Juri…' he mused, they could pass off as twin sisters. Yuuki blushes hard as she glanced down shyly with a small smile.
The music started playing and soon, couples start dancing. Kaname feels like it would be respectful and polite to ask for his sister to dance. He offered his hand toward her. "Would you like to dance?" he asked, even though, deep down as he wanted to dance with a silver-haired hunter.
"A-ah…hai." Yuuki accepted his hand and soon, they both start to waltz by the romantic music in the ballroom of the dance floor. Kaname recalled how he teaches Yuuki to dance years ago and was proud that she is naturally wonderful with her dance moves.
It was a pleasant time for the pureblood vampire and his amnesia human sister.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the Great Hall, Takuma who wore black suits with a blue ties and an elegant mask of gold and blue is enjoying dancing with his lover, Shiki. Shiki wears a black tuxedo without tie, and a maroon red mask with black gemstones. The blonde-haired vampire smiles lovely at his mate. "Are you enjoying this ball, amore?" he whispered, wondering as he hopes Shiki is having fun.
Shiki hummed with a nod then leaned his head against Takuma's shoulder. Takuma was content and satisfied as it was his job to make sure his mate is happy.
Somewhere, Kaito is standing by the window with his hazel eyes staring at the night sky through the glass. He is holding a full fruit punch cup while his other hand shoved in his pocket. He is alone as he managed to get away from the noble vampire. The ash-brown hunter inwardly sighed as he noted the lightening in the distance. 'It seems that it will be rain soon.' He mused, contemplative.
Kaito adores the water such as swimming in the pool, taking relaxing bathe, and even be in the rain is wonderful for him. He hummed, as he turned his head away and head to the balcony doors. Once he reached it, he slipped outdoor to the balcony.

Daybreak Great Hall – Balcony
The hunter placed the clear plastic wine-cup on top of the rail. He runs his long fingers through his hair with a heavy sigh. His hazel orbs stare up at the storm clouds that seem to swirl in the heavens and the smell of the upcoming rain which excitement his heart. He loves to be in the rain no matter what, whether he is taking for a walk, or fighting against the rogue vampires, or even just stand in the rain to feel the cold water hitting his bare skin.
He briefly recalled his older brother jokingly that Kaito was probably a merman in his past life. A sad smile appeared on his face. He wondered how his brother is doing in the afterlife if there is one. He hopes that whatever it was, as long as his brother is safe and happy, that's all that matters to him.
Thunder heard once again which Kaito blinked and could practically feel the rain coming anytime now. Then he felt his hunter instinct poked him which made his smile dropped. Somehow, he just knew that it's him again. 'I'm never going to be left in peace, am I?' he mused, exasperatedly.
A wild vampire steps up next to Kaito with a hummed in thoughtful as his burnt-orange orbs stared up at the storm clouds. "The rain is about to come any minute… would it be wise to return indoors?" he asked Kaito, curious.
"Why? Afraid of little water?" the hunter sarcastically snapped at Kain in response.
Kain turned his attention to the hunter with mirth. "Not really… I know that I have Fire ability, but I do like the rain." He said with a shrug.
The hunter made a sour face when he realized he just has something common with a vampire. He decided not to continue making any communication with the vampire so, he ignores Kain.
Unfortunately, Kain didn't allow the hunter to ignore him. The wild vampire opens his mouth as he leaned forward, placed his elbows on the rail, and clasped his hands together. "Did you know—that you can find the peace in the rain? It's so puzzling how the rain could really wash the pain away if you let it."
Kaito understood what Kain meant, however, that doesn't mean he will respond to the vampire. Then the water droplets start hitting the ground from the above. The hunter and the vampire glanced up at the dark clouds that covered the night sky as it pours down the water droplets as if they simply cannot think of anything better to do. They felt like laziness from what Kaito is feeling about his appearance.
Kain unentwined his fingers, cup his hands together as he watches the cold water gathering inside of his hands unit it was overflowing. He spread his fingers open, water pours drizzle through the gaps, and dropped to the garden ground.
Their appearances are slowly getting drenched from the rainfall as the sound hitting the marble ground that sounded like steady little drumming. Soon, the wind howls in a low pitch and the smell of storm and nature greeted the Earth. They watch the millions of droplets fall from the limitless sky.
Chill cold icy water hitting on Kaito's bare skin which he finds the pleasure of it. Kain pushed himself away from the rain and turned his eyes to the hunter. He lifted his hand toward Kaito who is eyeing it suspiciously. "Would you like to dance with me, Fox-san?"
Kaito's eyes widen in baffled and perplexed. "…excuse me? Why should I dance with you? Did you not know I'm a hunter?" he asked, warily as he narrowed his eyes at Kain.
"Something tells me that you like to dance in the rain." Kain simply answered with a half-smirk lazily.
The hunter scoffed as he steps back and crossed his arms with a frown on his face. They both ignore the water washed over their skin so strongly that it feels as if they are in the flow of a river rather than a rain shower. The rain continuously adding the clear wine-cup, washing away the color of blood to clear pure water as the wine-cup stands on the rail. "And… I personally do not care that you're a hunter." Kain added, nonchalantly.
Kaito stares at Kain with disbelief. "…why?" he doesn't understand why this noble vampire kept bothering him, attempted to get closer to him. They just met yesterday and Kain just seems to never leave Kaito alone. 'What is your game, vampire?' he mused, suspiciously.
"You… intriguing me." The lazy vampire answered, seriously as his burnt-orange eyes stare at the paranoid hunter's hazel eyes. "…so?" he cocked his eyebrow at the hunter as he rises his offering hand a little, waiting patiently.
The silence between them as the rainfall continues hitting them, making them completely drenched soaked yet they didn't let it bother them.

Daybreak Great Hall – Ballroom
Meanwhile…
Even though it felt like hours, it has only been three hours since the ball has started. The music spun around them lifting away gravity. They continue to dance and spin as the lights were twinkling from above.
It was a wonderful lively ballroom that seems to never want to end the magical night. That was when Zero return to the ballroom after he finally calms down. He starts on his patrol around the room with careful eyes. He couldn't help but think of his old memories lately until one of the female dancers steps up to him. "E-excuse me…" a shy voice snapped out his muse.
Zero turned his attention to her with a confused frown. "Yes?"
"W-would you like to dance with me?" the Day Student in silver dress asked, timidly with blushes behind her white and silver glitter mask.
The silver-haired hunter blinked. He wasn't much of a dancer and wasn't really interested in dance. He preferred to play the piano or watch in the background. Just as Zero was about to politely reject her offer, from the corner of his eyes, he spotted a silver-haired male in the distance. His eyes widen in surprise. 'Ichiru!' he didn't think he will be seeing his twin brother in this place. He watched Ichiru sneakily back in the darkness.
"I apologize, miss. But I have an urgent business to attend." Zero informed the female with politely apologetic then instantly rushes through the crowd, after his young twin with resolute.
Unaware, that he caught the attention of few people in the Great Hall. Yagari straightens up his spine with a heavy confused frown on his face as he is standing by the stage. Kaien narrowed his eyes with concern and curiosity as he is standing next to his old friend.
Somewhere on the dance floor, Kaname doesn't know why his crush is leaving in such a rush as he feels worried. 'Did something happen? Where are you going, Zero?' Kaname mused, concerned and astonished.

Daybreak Great Hall – Outdoor
Each drop of water hits on his skin, he could feel the cold rain stealing his body heat just a tiny bit at a time. However, he ignores it as he continues chasing after his younger twin brother who is striding ahead of him across the garden.
The silver-haired hunter didn't stop running as his heart was beating fast. He is not going to stop until he catches his twin. There are so many questions he needs to ask him. He has to know. And most of all, Zero needs to see Ichiru—alive and well—in person.
Unaware, that in the distance at the balcony is where Kaito and Kain are, noticed him. Kaito frowned with baffled and perplexed while Kain dropped his hand with concern for the silver-haired prefect. "Something's wrong." Kain stated, watching Zero's disheveled appearance. Kaito glanced at the noble vampire and surprised to see Kain's obviously worried for Zero.
Kaito didn't know why Kain cares about his pseudo-brother but right now, he is concerned for the silver-haired hunter. So, the hunter and the vampire exchanged their solemn glances and then start going after the silver-haired hunter.
Back to Zero, who paused when he saw the fancy white vintage-style gazebo that seems like it was made centuries ago. He could see Ichiru standing under the roof of the gazebo. The silver-haired hunter sauntered his way toward the stairs until the shelter finally provides him with the cold rain. The loud drums of water that are hitting above the roof, along with the whistle of winds that join in the music of the storm.
Zero's tuxedo was soaked as the purple rose long gone missing somewhere when he ran from the Great Hall to the garden gazebo. His hair was wet and disheveled. His appearance was a mess except, his mask still adored onto his face. He is almost obsessively examined his twin brother across him. "Ichiru…" he whispered, longingly and anxiously.
Across from him, Ichiru's back is facing him. Slowly, oh so slowly, he turned around to face Zero. He wears a high collar black tight shirt, black leather jeans tucked into black combat boots, a white trench knee-length coat, and a white plain mask. "Hello, my dear brother." Ichiru greeted his brother, coolly.
The silver-haired hunter curled his hands into fists at his sides as his amethyst eyes soften with a mixture of longingly, affectionally, and worriedly. "H-how have you been?" he asked, wondering if his brother is okay and well. "Are you well?" he perfectly recalled that his young twin brother gets illness so easily, especially in the rain.
Ichiru raises his eyebrow behind his mask. "…well now, that's a bit unusual reaction. I was expecting to see your anger, Zero." He tilted his head as he shoves his hands in his trench coat's pockets. "Unless… you knew I was alive this whole time?"
"…I know." Zero admitted as he lowered his head. "I knew you are alive, and I know… that you are still with her. Shizuka." Of course, he knew, after all, he has knowledge from his other life. "She is using you—using us." He said, angrily when he remembered how that pureblood bitch used his twin against him, against their family.
The young twin hummed with intrigue. "You think Shizuka-sama is using me because of our unusual bloodlines?"
"You knew?" the older twin stated, as he has a feeling about Ichiru might know the truth. "I recalled that you've kept the photo years ago…"
A cold smile appeared on his face. "That's right… It took you so long to finally learned the truth, Zero. I honestly did thought you might never find out on your own." He steps toward the rail, leaned his back against it as his arms crossed. "Seishin, Miwa. Our biological mother. She was very beautiful." Ichiru admitted.
"How did you find out?" Zero asked, astonished and curious.
The younger twin hummed for a brief moment. "Four years ago, I had my doubt about "okaa-san" for a while. I couldn't help but think—how come we never look like her?— and that had been bothered me. Of course, I didn't inform you about it because you were too busy playing the piano with our father. I've been sneaking around, researching for anything about her; Kaori. Until I've learned that she was not our mother, just a woman who was a partner and family friend with our father. Cross, Kaori. The sister of Cross, Kaien." Ichiru explained, nonchalantly.
"And the photo? I recalled that you showed it to me." Zero asked, wondering where his twin gotten a photo of Miwa.
Ichiru's eyes sparkle. "Ah… I accidentally found the secret spot in the fireplace back in our old house." Zero knew what his twin's talking about. It was where Sanctus found the mini-album. "I unlocked it, found the small album, and saw the photos of her. Instantly, I knew that woman was our real mother. It's a feeling and turned out that I was right."
Zero steps forward with apprehension yet interest. "What do you know of her? Our mother?" he has been desperately searching for her true history.
"…well, I knew Miwa was a curse by her grandfather in order to stay well-balanced." Ichiru enlightens his older twin, indifferently. "Unfortunately, I didn't get much information about her and her history. However, I did get plenty of information about our father's history." He added, calmly. "Which—Shizuka-sama, didn't know."
The silver-haired hunter jerked his head up at Ichiru in stunned. "What do you mean she didn't know?"
"I do mean, that she doesn't know about our bloodline—us being the Blueblood." Ichiru declared. Zero didn't expect that answer from his twin. Does that mean, Ichiru isn't completely bound to that Pureblood Queen? Zero hopes so as he wants his twin back in his life.
Before the silver-haired hunter could ask another question, a different voice shouted out. "Zero!" Zero whirled around and spotted Kaito who called out his name, carrying his sai weapons in his hands while standing next to Kain who tore his mask off and glare cautiously at Ichiru. They both are few feet away behind Zero, with their guards up as they are prepared to fight with Zero.
"Well, well… would you look at that? You've gain minions." Ichiru stated, coldly amused. He tilted his head as he pushed himself away from the rail. "Not only that… I can sense two more somewhere… it seems that you've got yourself protective guardians, Zero." He huffed humorlessly. "Of course, I wasn't surprised since everyone adores you." Slowly, he unleashed his sword from his sheath to revealed his beautiful steel blade. "I'm curious… I want to fight against you since both of our bloodlines—are different from other species. So how about it, Zero? Blueblood vs. Blueblood?"
Kaito blinked in confused. "What the hell is a Blueblood?" he mumbled to Kain, temporarily forgotten that he is asking the vampire.
"You know how Pureblood is sacred?" Kain asked instead. Kaito frown but nodded his head confused. Kain continued. "Well…Blueblood is a scarce kind among in vampire society. Just underneath rank of Pureblood." The hunter's eyes widen in dumbfounded.
Yagari who is hiding nearby the gazebo, as he heard the entire conversation between the twins. He inwardly curses the heaven above and hell below. The famous hunter knew what the Blueblood, thanks to Kaien's information decades ago. Yagari didn't expect to learn that Zero is one of them. 'Only you, Zero… of course, it just happen to be only you.' He grumbled quietly. Things just got a lot more complicated.
At the same time, Kaname is leaning against the tree underneath the shelter of the branches and leaves as he barely is soaked from the rain. His eyes are widened in flabbergast when he discovered that the unofficial vampire is a rare Blueblood type. 'Of course… That is why he couldn't be controlled by the Pureblood… because he's practically a Duke among the vampire society. Above Level-B vampires. Just below the Royalty rank.' He mused, fascinated and hopeful. The vampire society can't refuse him for wanting to have Kiryuu, Zero as his eternal mate once they learn that Zero is a Blueblood.
"But I am curious about one thing… you didn't drink the pureblood, yet have you?" Ichiru asked, mockingly. "After all… you'll be able to finally claimed as Blueblood."
Zero narrowed his eyes at his twin. 'Wrong. If I drink blood from pureblood—then our mother's heritage will remain slumber for eternal. And I can't do that… I have to wake that third bloodline before I go anywhere near the pureblood.' He mused, recalled the information and warning from his ancestor's lover. "…I promised someone not to touch the blood from Pureblood." And plus, not be able to control by Pureblood is better for him.
His twin hummed indifferently, then instantly, his sharp blade swing as he rushes toward Zero.
CLANG!
Zero blocked the sword with his trustworthy Bloody Rose gun. "Not bad." Ichiru smirks as his gaze stares at Zero's eyes.
Frostily cold amethyst orbs against warm broken amethyst orbs.
"I've recalled we used to get along so well because we are twins." Ichiru said, sneeringly. "Remembered that day, during the winter season? I saw her, a beautiful woman… only when you told me it was a vampire." Zero frowns while holding up his strength with his gun against the blade where Ichiru is holding. "You were so strong—and… whatever I lack in, you can always do." He said, envious and slightly angry. "That night, when I had a fever… and you were going to stay with me… Remember that?"
"Of course I remembered." Zero wouldn't forget one of his precious memories with his twin.
Ichiru scoffed humorlessly when he start reminiscence. "When I left to get myself some water… that bitch, our "okaa-san"…did you know that she complained to our father about us?" Zero's eyes sparkle with bewildered. "Of course, you didn't know… because you were waiting for me. That bitch said that you are so superior and it's the destiny in the blood of the Hunters. She doesn't care if we are close… she only cares about you to be used for the organization. She even said that I can't be used." He hisses, furiously when he recalled that night.
Zero's eyes widen in shock. "Ichiru…" he honestly didn't know that. "…I—I had no idea…"
Ichiru pushed his blade against the Bloody Rose gun and jumped back a couple of feet away from his twin. "Did you know that I was born with a darkness inside my heart? Like I'm some kind of… abomination." he asked while twirling his sword around effortlessly.
"That's not true!" Zero steps forward while tightly gripped his anti-weapon. "Ichiru… you are not abomination nor a bearer of darkness… you are my twin, my brother, and I… I can't lose you again." He said, brokenly as he shakingly reached his mask, carefully pulled it off to reveal his disheartened and sorrowful face. "I will do anything for you because you are my family." He whispered the last part with pleading.
He just wants to have his brother back.
Ichiru halted as he stared at his twin for a moment. Then slowly a small cold sneer appeared on his face. "Even after all these years… really…" he snorted as he gracefully sheathed his sword and turned around. "…you are still too kind, Zero…" he whispered, almost disappointedly then step out of the shelter of the gazebo into the dark night of downfall rain.
Zero wants to chase after his twin, stop him and save Ichiru from the darkness. However, he couldn't as he watch his baby brother's back walking away. Farther and farther into the darkness. He closed his eyes and turned his head away with slumped shoulders. "Ichiru…" he mumbled, sadly.
Few feet away from the gazebo where Kaito and Kain have been watching quietly. The noble vampire watches his friend with worried while Kaito has multiples puzzling questions through his mind that he needs answers. While Yagari feels disappointed and frustrated with himself, he failed to save the young twin and he knew, this is breaking Zero's heart. Ichiru is right there, so close to Zero and yet Zero couldn't save his young twin. 'Zero… I believe it's too late to save him.' He mused, emotionlessly.
And Kaname's heart sank when he watches his beautiful creature's sorrowfulness displayed on his face. 'Zero…' he mused, as he wants to comfort the broken silver-haired hunter, but he didn't know what to do because he isn't close to him. He feels regret that he wishes he can do something to cheer Zero up. However, how does someone cheer up a person after they reunite with their sibling when in the end, it was all tragedy heartbroken instead.

Cross Academy
Chairman's Office
Night - Later…
The ballroom was over an hour ago, many Day Students and Night Students have returned to their dormitories safely. They were content, satisfied, and blissed because they really did enjoy their experiences from the mask dance ball. It will be one of their favorite memories and they hope to have another ballroom someday.
Except for a handful of people are in the Chairman's office. Kaien entwined his fingers as he rested his chin on top of it as his elbows rested on his desk. A solemn frown on his face as he carefully observed his pseudo-son, the hunter, older hunter, Pureblood, and noble vampire. They all are still in their tuxedos, except their masks are taken off.
"So… Ichiru was there." Kaien stated, gravely.
Zero nods his head as he is standing between Kaito and Kain while Yagari is standing by the window and Kaname leaned against the wall near the door. "Hai… and he knew about bloodline." He muttered, hesitated. He wasn't sure if he could explain this room about his real truth. The only knew about the "truth" about him was Kain.
"What do you mean by bloodline?" the ex-hunter asked, questioning.
The silver-haired hunter runs his fingers through his semi-wet hair. "…remembered earlier… months ago when I asked for a personal week off since I want to research for something?" He glanced at Kaien's hazel that glint with realization. "It has something to do with that. I wanted to know the truth about my family's background. My father—Kiryuu, Tsukiya—was the only one who had awakened his bloodline. The bloodline from my ancestor."
"Who?" Kaito asked, curious as he leaned on his leg with his arms cross.
Zero closed his eyes resignation that he can't keep it secret longer anymore. It seems that he will have to reveal his relation to his vampire ancestor—Sin. Except he refuses to inform anyone about his mother's background. Even though, there's hardly any information about it. "…my ancestor, he was one of the Quintet of Ancestors." All gazes on him were astounded and speechless, except Kaito's whose confused.
Kaname stares at Zero's back with disbelieved dumbfounded. 'No—there's no way…' he mused, astonished.
"Apparently, everyone seems to know that but I don't." Kaito opens his mouth with a confused frown. "So, I'll just go ahead and say it… what the hell is Quintet of Ancestors?" he blurted, straightforward with puzzled.
Yagari clicked his tongue as he grabbed his cigarette pack from the inner pocket of his blazer. "Quintet of Ancestors is the first vampire kind. The first ever existence on this Earth thousand years ago." The older hunter informed one of his brats.
Kaito raises his eyebrow at this by surprise. "And your bloodline… you are connected to ancestor first ever vampire?" he asked Zero who nodded his head silently. Kaito whistled slightly amaze and stunned. "Well, damn."
The silver-haired hunter opens his eyes half-way. "And because of that bloodline, it's now mixed with Hunter's bloodline. Which makes me—Ichiru and I—the Blueblood."
"Guardian-san's bloodlines are very dangerous. A mixture of Ancestor Pureblood along with Hunter's blood is practically one of a kind type." Kain added, lazily.
'And there is the third bloodline from my mother's side which I still don't know yet.' Zero mentally added.
Kaien lowered his hands to the desk. "Does that mean you are official a vampire? A Blueblood?" he asked his pseudo-son with a mixture of hope and anxiety. He thought that means Zero is not in danger to lose himself. Which means he won't become Level-E. Hopeful swells upon his heart.
"Not… exactly." Zero grimaced as he attempts to explain carefully while contemplative. "My body is still unofficial."
"Why?" the ex-hunter asked, puzzled.
Kaname speaks up in response this time. "Because he hasn't touched the blood from a Pureblood." He stated, understandingly. His auburn gaze thoughtfully studied the enigma creature in front of him silently. Zero nodded his head that the Pureblood Prince's correct.
Yagari rolled his cigarette between his lips. "…which means Zero will have to drink your blood?" he frowned as he is eyeing Kaname who just smiles civility at him.
"No." all heads turned to Zero who stared at the ground as his hands curled into tight fists at his side. "Not yet. I made a promise to someone that I can't drink their blood." He refuses to break that promise that he made with his ancestor's lover. "For the meantime, I am satisfied with what I have to calm my thirst."
The Chairman leaned back against his chair. "The tablet still helps?" he was surprised when Zero shakes his head sheepishly. "Oh? Then…" he trailed off, confused.
Zero cleared his throat, feelings lightly embarrassed while Kain rubbed the back of his neck. "Guardian-san is using my blood." Kain blunted out in the open.
Silence in the office. Kaito glares suspiciously at Kain while Yagari twitches as he attempts to held back his urges to use his shotgun while Kaien raises his eyebrows at the noble vampire. Kaname frowns deeply as he feels a flare of jealously and envy in his heart. His fingers curled inside to control his sharpen claws and as crimson-red flickers in his auburn orbs. The Pureblood Prince attempt to calm his emotion as he doesn't want to be too obvious to outsiders.
"And—" the silver-haired hunter believes that it is time to accept the offer. "—I'll transfer to Night Class and move in Moon Dormitory on two conditions."
Once again, everyone was surprised as their attention back to the silver-haired hunter who turned around to stared at the speechless Pureblood Prince. "First, I continue being Hunter." Kaname blinks as he calmly crossed his arms with a neutral polite face. "And I still continue being the Prefect of this Cross Academy. Those are my conditions."
Kaname carefully examined Zero with contemplative while inwardly, he is very excited and happy when Zero finally accepted to transfer with his own free will. "I accepted those conditions as long as you respect and follow the rules as Night Student." The silver-haired hunter nodded his head understandingly.
"Wait—are you serious?" Kaito protested with a heavy frown.
Yagari wants to protest as well, but he was hesitant because this way, he could watch over Zero in Night Class since he is one of the Night Teachers.
"I believe that is a wise choice." Kaien said, calmly with a serious face. "Especially now that we knew, Zero-kun won't be in danger to students because of his bloodline. But I must ask, when will you become an official vampire?" he asked, wondering.
Zero turned his gaze back to his pseudo-father. "When the time is right. For now, I'm fine with being unofficial vampire Blueblood." He answered, coolly.
The hunter and the older hunter exchange their glances for a moment. Kaito sighed loudly as he reluctantly resigned while Yagari grunted in defeat.
Kain smiles lazily at his silver-haired friend. "Well… this is going to be really interesting once you become one of us—Night Student of the Moon Class." He couldn't wait to see the rest of the vampires' reactions. It would be glorious to him.
The silver-haired hunter just hummed in response while Kaien smiles proudly at him. "I'm glad you are taking this serious, Zero-kun." He is truly relief that his pseudo-son will be in a safe environment. "There are still things we need to discuss more, however, it is getting very late. So, we will save this meeting in a later time in the future. For now, I will prepare the transfer papers in the morning and take care of everything." He informed the hunters, vampires, and his pseudo-son. "Have a nice night." He dismissed them, gently with a warm smile on his face.
Soon, when everyone left his office. Kaien sat quietly in his office while staring at his desk thoughtfully. 'Tsukiya… did you know that your son—both of them—are Blueblood? Not only that, your younger son, Ichiru is alive…' he sighed heavily.
How is he going to explain Zero's transfer to Yuuki? He knew that it's time for his adopted daughter to learn the truth about Zero's situation. "Oh… Yuuki-chan is going to be heartbroken…" he whispered, guilty and sadden for her.
However, he hopes that she will accept it and stay positive.

Later…
The Pureblood Prince decided to have a private talk with Kain later as he wants to be alone in his private room. He has learned a lot of shocking information tonight. Kaname hasn't expected so many reveals about Zero. He ambled around the room as he gently set his mask on the desk, reach for his tie and start to loose them. 'To think that Zero is related to one of the Quintet of Ancestors…' he mused, still astonished by that piece of news.
He went to one of the bookshelves, extend his hand over one of the books, and pulled it out. He dropped it on the ground, grabbed another book, pulled it out, and dropped it to the ground. He continued it a couple more times then reached the back of the bookshelf then pressed it.
A sound of click heard as the wood automatically opened to reveal a small vintage silver metal box. He gently grabbed it not unkindly, stride over to his bed, and sat down. He opened the lid to expose the trinkets, age-old parchment papers, and few objects inside. Kaname dug through carefully until he found one that he was seeking.
He set his box next to him, while holding a black pouch in another hand. He untied the strings, then he leisurely opens the pouch as the sound of bell-like heard from the inside. The Pureblood Prince took out five metal chain with a gemstone pendant. His auburn examined the necklaces. One of the necklaces has a sapphire stone with a name on the back. "Vera." He recalled a beautiful and peaceful Ancestor Pureblood woman with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Then he picked up a necklace that has an emerald stone with a name on the back as well. "Euphemia." A flash of a feisty yet beautiful redhead Ancestor Pureblood woman with fiery green eyes. Then his gaze shifted over to the necklace with garnet stone with a name on the back also which he knew that it belongs to him.
And then he turned his attention to two last necklaces, one of them has moonstone and the other has an amethyst stone. He grabbed both of them and turned them over to read the names on the back carefully. Kaname wondered which one of them is Zero's ancestors. "Sin… Sanctus…" the names are familiar however, there is one problem…
…why can't he remember them?
