Happy Valentine's Day people, and welcome back to Highschool of the Dead: Resurrection. The finale of this arc is upon us, let's see what explosiveness I shell out this time.

Saya and Kohta were on their way back from the last block of houses the group lived at, and kept a lookout for more zombies...with Kohta using the SAW once again, with each of them wearing a bookbag.

"Nice to see the place is exactly how we left it." Saya said.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Kohta asked.

"Well...zombies and Ghosts roams around for one thing, but for another...the people could have collapsed because of a structural failure none of us knew about." Saya said.

"I don't know, we checked each place pretty thoroughly, then again..." Kohta trailed off.

"There could have been an explosion around here before we arrived, or a malfunction in a heater that caused a fire, or maybe mold ate away at a support to the point where something stored inside the house made it give way and bring down a whole section of the house." Saya said.

"We...might be overthinking this a bit." Kohta said.

"Well, these things can happen." Saya said.

"Right." Kohta said and the two kept looking around as they continued their trek. Saya then watched Kohta more carefully...and noticed no signs of fatigue.

"Why did you have to bring the SAW?" Saya asked.

"Well, I haven't used it in a while, and...who knows? We might need it." Kohta said.

"Nevermind the fact that we haven't seen a single zombie around here, and how are you not exhausted? I mean, I get we've been getting our hands dirty for months on end, but this is a little odd." Saya said.

"Well, it's like you said, plus...well, I've been working out quite a bit in my spare time." Kohta said.

"Have you now?" Saya asked.

"Yes, I have. I had to get in shape, and...deep down, I want to be like Corporal Toriyama, minus that unfathomable rage." Kohta said.

"Well...as long as you don't lose anything you already have, you've got my vote." Saya said.

"Deal." Kohta said...then they spot a horde of zombies in the distance.

"Do you think we should kill them?" Saya asked.

"Corporal Toriyama would..." Kohta said.

"But he's not us, and he's not here...but he would also be quite happy to hear want we did..." Saya said, and the two stared at each other, then the horde, then shrugged.

"Let's get them!" Kohta said before charging off to engage them with Saya right behind him. The moment they got close enough, Kohta set up the SAW on a car's hood, and opened fire, one bullet at a time. Even with the SAW, each bullet hit a zombie's head, with Kohta taking his time with each shot since the zombies were too far away. Once they got closer, Kohta started firing bursts...then the gun jammed on him.

Saya then looked around, and saw more zombies coming from all sides, so she got to work on gunning them down with her M4. Kohta then got back to firing at the main crowd, and scored multiple head shots with each burst. Saya meanwhile continued watching his back as she spun around and gunned down the scattered number of zombies, while keeping an eye on Kohta's progress...which was just as staggering as her own.

Eventually, the two mopped up the last of the zombies, then went down the street home.

"Next time we're taking the bus..." Saya said dryly and Kohta snickered.

"...and we kicked alot of ass on the way back." He said as they entered Masato's apartment.

"These zombies are like cockroaches, no matter how many we crush, other take their place." Saeko said.

"It doesn't matter; we'll kill them all. Every time they enter a place they save us the trouble of finding them." Masato said.

"Speaking of killing zombies, how are you feeling sir?" Kohta asked.

"My bones have healed, and I have every intention of getting back into the field." Masato said.

"Not without us you aren't." Saya said.

"Right. Me and Itachi have been training in Kenjutsu, and I intend to teach him everything I know, plus I want to learn archery." Saeko said and everyone stared at her.

"You lost me at Kenjutsu." Saya said.

"I'm teaching him my art. He side his disregard for guns aside, and he embraced the basics of how to use a sword without hesitation. Saying that he's proven himself is an understatement. The Itachi Fujinaga that we've been despising for weeks is dead; a new one has taken his place in full." Saeko said.

"Alright I trust you; I just hope you know what you're doing." Saya said.

"I know exactly what I'm doing. Besides, he can only become more useful in this regard." Saeko said.

"That is true, and the more skills we all have, the more effective we can be on the whole, and by ourselves." Masato said.

"Wait...where's Rei and Takashi?" Saya asked.

"Their in their home...drunk out of their skulls." Saeko said.

"Drunk?" Kohta asked.

"They found some plum wine, and when I last saw them, they were-" Saya cuts Saeko off.

"I don't want to know!" She snapped.

"What about Itachi?" Kohta asked, and Saeko smiled.

"He's with Alice and Zeke reading a book for them." She said.

"Itachi is reading to her?" Saya asked.

"O.k. who is he, and what has he done with Itachi...?" Kohta asked.

"Yep...I told you he's changed his ways." Saeko said.

"I know I know but...this is a bit much." Saya said.

"He has the best history with her by far; he's almost...fatherly now." Saeko said softly.

"I'm sensing some affection in your voice." Kohta said.

"Well...I do admire a man with passion, and he's got that in droves, even since we met him." Saeko said.

"If you say so..." Saya breathed out.

"He even brought up the idea of me teaching Alice Kenjutsu but...not now of course." Saeko said.

"I would hope not." Saya said.

"So, now what?" Kohta asked.

"I will continue to rest until you all have yourselves prepared, and we need to keep an eyes on the number of Ghosts and zombies who come this way, not to mention the supply drops." Masato said.

"We'll handle the supply drops, and maybe keep an eye peeled for more zombies and Ghosts." Kohta said.

"Maybe the Ghosts lost so many of their number that they gave up on this area." Saeko said.

"One can hope." Saya said.

"Anyway, the sun will go down soon, and I have some training to do with Itachi tomorrow, so...I'll see you then." Saeko said.

"Good night." Kohta said before Saeko, and later Itachi went to bed.

Ironically...Itachi is the one who woke up Saeko this time, and she stirred like he used to when h prodded her.

"Good morning." He said, and Saeko smiled.

"Good morning." She said.

"Ready to give me another hard knocks lesson?" Itachi asked.

"More like watch you blow me out of the water when I had your level of experience." Saeko said.

"Hey, I have an unfair advantage over you." Itachi said.

"Yeah yeah, I know." Saeko said before getting out of bed, and grabbing her clothes...then noticing Itachi looking her over.

"What? You've seen me without any clothes on." Itachi said.

"True...and now you get to see me half-naked. Like it?" Saeko teased.

"What's not to like? I'm sure you were looked over quite a bit yourself in school." Itachi said.

"You might say that." Saeko said as she finished putting her clothes on, then tied her hair in a ponytail.

"Wow..." Itachi whispered.

"What?" Saeko asked.

"Ponytail or straight down, I don't know which hair style suits you better." Itachi said.

"Well then that frees up my options now doesn't it?" Saeko said.

"Oh?" Itachi asked.

"Yeah, us girls dress up to look nice for a reason. Right?" Saeko said.

"Alright, enough with the foreplay, let's go whack things with some sticks...which may or may nor sound wrong..." Itachi said.

"I also want you to bring your bow...and show me how a master does it." Saeko said, and Itachi huffed in amusement.

"How about that? We're each others masters...how often does that happen?" He asked.

"Not often...not often at all..." Saeko said, and with that, the two grabbed their respective weapons, and left.

When they finally got to the top of the temple's stairs, they immediately got started on sparring...and Itachi was able to keep up with Saeko without too much trouble. He struck her, he blocked her, he even dodged her without too much issue, and her case was the same, Itachi even moved around Saeko, which forced her to return the favor. Overall, she was even more impressed than she was before...until she countered him and put her bokken at his neck.

"Holy..." Itachi trailed off.

"We haven't gone over countering have we? Well...now you now it's a thing." Saeko said.

"Will do..." Itachi said.

"But for now...I want to know about archery." Saeko said.

"Will do." Itachi said, and the two dropped their bokkens, and looked around the back...and found a series of straw targets set up.

"An entire range..." Saeko breathed out.

"You've got to be kidding." Itachi said as he looked over the wide open space, the tiling covering the floor, and the stone outcropings lining the area.

"They have a longbow here, it's only natural they have a range. Maybe this place was used to train samurai centuries ago." Saeko said.

"How fitting then." Itachi said, then looked over his bow.

"Well? Try it out." Saeko said, before Itachi notched an arrow, and pulled the string back before loosing the arrow into the center of a target. He then trembled as he looked over his bow.

"This thing handles like a dream..." He whispered.

"May I try it?" Saeko asked.

"Take it before I fall hopelessly in love with it..." Itachi said as he handed it over, and Saeko took it, and an arrow before notching it.

"Alright, what should I know?" She asked.

"Well...pull the string." Itachi said, and Saeko pulled the arrow back ready to loose it.

"Can I shoot?" She asked.

"Might as well." Itachi said, and Saeko loosed the arrow, and hit the lower corner of the target.

"How was that?" She asked.

"Eh, at least you hit the target." Itachi said.

"You hit the center though." Saeko said.

"True, but this is your first time, and I just now noticed the wind is picking up." Itachi said.

"Yeah, that doesn't help either..." Saeko said.

"Well, we're here to learn right?" Itachi asked.

"Right." Saeko said before taking another arrow, then pulled the string back.

"Wait...let me see your posture." Itachi said.

"O...k..." Saeko said, and Itachi got in her personal space, and looked her body over...before putting one hand on her belly, and the other on her upper back, making her blush and her heart spike.

"You were bending too much. Keeping yourself straight not only helps your breath, but also keeps your am stable, just like using a gun." Itachi said.

"Oh...right, of course..." Saeko breathed out before deflating, then resting for a moment. She then composed herself, then loosed the arrow...and hit just below the center.

"Much better." Itachi said.

"I'm not going very fast though." Saeko said.

"Accuracy now, speed later." Itachi said before handing over another arrow, which Saeko used to hit just above the target to the side.

"Damn, this wind does not like me." She said.

"Yeah, wind's a bitch for an archer, and I've had it easy with the lack of it. Actually, I think there's a storm coming..." Itachi said.

"Here's hoping it doesn't come too soon, especially when we're on the way back." Saeko said.

"Amen to that. Now, what to try some more?" Itachi asked.

"Might as well." Saeko said before Itachi gave her an arrow, then she loosed it into the area just to the side of the center.

"Damn, that was your best showing yet." Itachi said.

"O.k...one more shot..." Saeko said before taking another arrow, composing herself...then loosing it into the center.

"Hell yeah!" Itachi exclaimed.

"Thank you so much for this Itachi." Saeko said.

"Eh, quid pro quo." Itachi said.

"No...really, I probably feel as empowered as you do." Saeko said.

"That's quite a feat Saeko." Itachi said seriously.

"I know..." Saeko said, before they looked at the cloudless sky.

"I...should probably get my arrows back..." Itachi trailed off.

"That would be wise." Saeko said before Itachi ran over to get his arrows, then ran back. When he got close enough, Saeko offered his bow back...then they both held onto it, and looked it over.

"This bow...it's not just a replacement." Itachi said.

"No...it's an icon; a symbol of not only your redemption, but your rebirth." Saeko said softly.

"And the other one can go straight to hell and take my inner demons with it." Itachi said seriously.

"If I didn't know better, Alice was sent to you by god to help you conquer those demons." Saeko said.

"Bless her heart..." Itachi whispered before the two locked eyes...and then Itachi pressed his lips against Saeko's as they continued holding the bow. Both of their breathing and heart rates spiked as the softness of their lips, and the raw intimacy sunk in. Itachi then removed his lips from hers and she caught hr breath.

"What was that...?" She breathed out, and Itachi smirked.

"That was my first kiss." He said softly.

And what a kiss it was, hell of a way to start Valentine's Day huh? Anyway...that's the end of this arc, and I've got a more mellow arc on it's way, so be sure to Rate, Review, and Share while I keep scrambling my brain, although I think I'm done writing multiple chapters at once, at least for now. Stay tuned...

P.S. How would you like some lemons to squeeze next arc?
