And for the final chapter in my friend's series! Also, not this girl telling me she noticed continuity errors in the chapter she sent me to post yesterday. So if you really care, I suggest rereading chapter 36 because she added and changed some things. Nothing too major but it was important enough for her to do.

So enjoy! Please leave feedback for me to send back to her. She really liked this and I bet if you're really nice, she might come back and help me with my other stories and stuff.

Sam sat in the front passenger seat of the truck with tears rolling down his face.

"Sam?" John asked. "We're here."

Sam didn't even move, let alone notice that the truck was now sitting outside the hotel room.

"I have to go back and help your brother. I want you to go inside, clean up, and try to get some rest, okay?"

Sam still didn't move.

"Samuel," John said more sternly.

Sam quickly wiped his face on his sleeves and climbed out of the truck. His hand shook as he tried to use the key to unlock the hotel room. John watched him through the driver window. He dreaded this day since his boys were born. At least with Dean's first broken heart at thirteen, he holed himself up for the night and bounced back the next day as if it never happened. If he was hurting, John never knew about it. But Sam was more sensitive and emotional than that. And John definitely knew he would be hurting for a long time.

"Damn it Mary, I wish you were here," John said quietly to himself. "I have no idea how the hell I'm going to deal with this one."

John started the truck up and pulled out of the hotel parking lot back to the house.

How did we get here?

"What do you mean your boyfriend's a hunter?" Bethany screamed.

"Oh please! Don't act surprised! Daddy always warned you if you were going to keep using magic irresponsibly that you would get caught!" Brooke screamed back at her.

Sam sat on the couch in-between the two as they stood in the living room arguing. He had never felt more awkward in his life.

"I have not been using magic irresponsibly!"

"Uh let's see… You used a romance potion on that one boy who then killed himself because he loved you too much. You gave everyone such bad déjà vu by changing back time from always being late to curfew that the Mandala Effect is a thing now. And you literally rewrote history because you didn't like how you embarrassed yourself at your tenth birthday party!"

"Wow… That's… Intense," Sam commented.

"Shut up geek! No one asked you!" Bethany yelled at him. Sam leaned back into the couch. This was going to take a while. No way was he going to be able to sneak out of here now.

"Wait a minute, are you the reason Daddy's in the hospital?"

"What if I am?"

God does this girl really not give a fuck about anything? Sam couldn't help but wonder.

"What did you do to him?" Brooke asked, her tone sounding more scared than angry now.

"I couldn't take it anymore! Daddy has always been wicked smart and it's obvious you got a brain to match. So I used a potion that allowed me to live on his smarts. He took one half, I took the other, and then his smarticle particles or whatever moved from his brain into mine."

"Is that how you passed that final last month?"

Bethany smiled and nodded. She was so proud of herself.

"You've been living off of his knowledge to pass a stupid ass test!?"

"Hey! College is hard! It was either that or sell my soul."

"How did you get to be the one with the powers?"

"Simple. I was born first."

"And now you're going to die first." said a male voice.

Dean sat on the couch. His head was spinning, trying to comprehend what exactly just happened tonight. He felt nauseous and dizzy and could tell a migraine was coming on.

"What the fuck are you doing?" John asked, coming back inside the house. "Come on. We gotta stage it to look like an accident."

"It was an accident," Dean said quietly.

"Uh uh. Nope. You're not allowed to break down on me too."

"But Dad-"

"No buts! I already gotta figure out how to deal with your brother. I'm not going to deal with you too."

Rage built up inside Dean.

"Put these on," John said, handing him a pair of disposable gloves. "Now help me move the bodies."

Dean stood up, but instead of going into the other room to help his dad, he flipped the coffee table over and screamed.

"Now what the fuck are you doing?"

"Staging it to look like an accident."

John ignored Dean's nonchalant tone. Dean took a deep breath and the two got to work.

John and Dean rolled up to the house. Wes' plan involved him going to the hospital to handle the parents and John and Dean were responsible for the daughters.

"Remember, we gotta waste both of them." John said.

"Technically we just gotta worry about her sister," Dean mentioned, trying to remain hopeful. "Firstborn of every generation has the powers right?"

"Right. But that means that if Brooke lives, who's to say that her kids won't have powers? We gotta stop the line which means we go after her too."

"Wizards don't seem as evil as witches though! Maybe she can live from her experience and raise her kids to use their powers for good?"

"What do you think this is? A fucking action movie? This is our job Dean and I don't like it anymore than you do. But it needs-"

"Needs to be done. I know."

The two sat in silence for a minute waiting for the right moment to bust in the house.

"You saw the evidence," John said after a while. "Now that we know it was Brooke's sister, it was a lot easier to find dirt on her. She has hurt people before Dean."

Dean didn't respond.

Eventually the two exited the truck and quietly walked up to the front door. Dean used his lock pick to open it and the two snuck inside.

"You've been living off of his knowledge to pass a stupid ass test!?" Dean heard Brooke scream.

"Hey! College is hard! It was either that or sell my soul." Dean assumed this second voice was the sister.

"How did you get to be the one with the powers?"

"Simple. I was born first."

"And now you're going to die first," John said, revealing himself and Dean.

"Oh look! It's a whole family of hunters!" the sister said.

"What are you doing here?" Sam asked, running over to them.

"Sammy go outside." Dean said, hating the situation more and more each second.

"No! Why are you two in here waving guns around? I can handle this!"

"Yeah looks like family therapy's going really well from the couch," John said, not taking his eyes off the girls.

"She's not evil! She's just really stupid!" Brooke told them.

"Hey!"

John eventually broke his gaze and looked directly at Sam.

"Sam, your brother gave you an order-"

"Screw his order!"

"Samuel-"

"No Dad! There's got to be another way!"

"Don't make me-"

"Why does someone always have to get hurt!?"

No one noticed Bethany took this moment to charge at Dean. Dean held his own but she tried to go for the gun. John couldn't get a clear enough shot at her and didn't want to risk harming Dean.

"Get off him!" he yelled.

"Bethany what are you doing?" Brooke asked.

"Brooke, we gotta go," Sam said, thinking he could just grab her and get her out of the scary situation.

It was too late.

Dean's gun went off.

Brooke was hit.

Dean managed to push a screaming Bethany off of him.

He didn't notice Sam was screaming too.

John finally took his clean shot to Bethany.

After a minute, John went to go check on both girls.

"Sam go outside," he said as calmly as possible.

This time he didn't have to tell Sam twice. He booked it out of the house.

"Dean, give me the gun." John said, turning his attention to his other son.

Dean was too busy watching his brother in shock that he didn't realize his dad talking to him.

"Give me the gun son."

Dean did as he was told and handed him the gun. John unloaded it to prevent anymore accidental shootings.

"Start cleaning all this up. I'm going to go find Sam and then I'll come back and help."

And he left, finding Sam running down the street, getting him in the car, and taking him back to the hotel.
