Everyone in the clearing just stared at Kari, or whaever it was with Kari's appearence, confused by the words that she just said.

"K-Kari, what are you talking about?" Tai questioned, believing he was still talking to his sister.

Killua grabbed his shoulder. "Tai, You heard Gatomon and Wizardmon, that isn't Kari."

Tai looked back at her sister's look-alike and his temper started to get the best of him. "Then where is she?! Where is Kari?"

Gatomon stepped forward, putting her hands up in a placating manner. "Tai, calm down! We told you she isn't an enemy!"

"We saw everything that happened," Wizardmon joined. "This entity and Kari talked just a few moments ago."

While her brother and friends discussed about the reason why Puppetmon was with Killua, Kari entered the forest, following the sound of a calm and warm voice. Kari couldn't help but felt some sort of connection with it, just like she had a connection with Gatomon.

She stopped in an open space, with barely any trees around, and saw marveled as lights danced across it's place. Gatomon and Wizardmon were watching her far behind, without her knowledge.

"What is she doing?" Wizardmon asked.

Gatomon shook her head. "I have no idea."

While Kari was watching those lights, Wizardmon and Gatomon couldn't see a thing. And where Kari heard a voice, Wizardmon and Gatomon didn't.

The girl tilted her head at the lights. "Are you our enemies?" She asked with innocence.

There was silence, yet at the same time a response for the girl.

"What a relief, you aren't," The girl sighed.

Then the little sparkles of light gathered and form into a bright light. Kari felt a warm in her chest and saw her Crest glowing with an intensity she never saw before. She lifted it towards the light and it was absorbed into the Crest.

This action illuminated the whole clearing where the girl and the two Digimon watching her were standing.

When it faded, Kari was still standing there, unharmed, nothing seemed different. Wizardmon and Gatomon ran towards her to make sure she was safe. "Kari!"

The girl slowly turned and gave the two a small smile. "Greetings."

The two Digimon paused. Gatomon watched her partner with concern. "Kari?"

Kari shook her head. "No. The Child of Light is sleeping right now, she agreed to lend me her body, so I could finally communicate with you."

She walked forward and grabbed Wizardmon and Gatomon's hands in a form of handshake, the two feeling at ease with the presence that reside inside of the girl's body.

The entity smiled with Kari's mouth. "My name is-"

"- Homeostasis," The being possessing Kari finally revealed her name. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

It was quite for a moment as the group took in on the being's presentation until...

"YOU!" Puppetmon screamed. "YOU'RE THE CHEATER THAT BEAT US THE LAST TIME. YOU AND THE OTHER ANOMALY!"

Homeostasis didn't seemed remotely intimidated by Puppetmon's sudden exclamation. If anything she seemed amused "How curious; a being of darkness with the Digidestined."

Puppetmon was ticked off by her remark and casual dismissal. "Why you!"

He jumped into the air with his hammer raised above his head. "This is for cheating last time! Puppet Ha- AGRRGFFRGALHB!" Mid-air Puppetmon fell to the ground, body covered by a large discharge of electricity. He stayed on the ground with his body twitching and smoke sizzling out of him. "-mmer..."

Killua just gave the puppet Digimon a blank stare. "Don't attack a possible ally of ours!"

Homeostasis giggled at the curious interaction between the anomaly and the Dark Master. "Well this is certainly unexpected, but welcoming. Just like last time, the anomaly is a Wild Card."

Killua sighed and narrowed his eyes. "Everyone keeps saying that. Last anomaly, last time, something about my predecessor. Yet no one gives us an explanation about what that's all about."

Homeostasis' smile never left her face—If anything it brightened. "That's why I'm here for." She grew serious. "You are all wondering since you came to this world why were you chosen. Out of million of children in the world, why you?"

As she made the question, she eyes Mimi, who looked sheepish at being stared by the enigmatic entity.

"I'm here to answer all of that," Kari's body started shining as the power of Homeostasis started filling the clearing. "I will clear any doubts you have about your purpose here."

All of the children and Digimon started glowing, except for the captives, even Puppetmon who was still twitching in pain after the discharge Killua gave him through the collar.

"W-what is this?" Joe asked as they all started floating.

Homeostasis smiled in a soothing manner. "I will show you something that happened thousands of years ago in the Digital World."

For a moment a bright light engulfed the Digidestined's world. And the next, in the clearing, only stayed the four captives...

But a figure was watching all the events prior to Homeostasis appearing in front of the group.

A tall Digimon that resembled a cherry tree growled as he make his way out of the forest. "So Puppetmon has decided to betray the Dark Masters. This has to be informed to Lord Machinedramon, since Lord Piedmon doesn't want to be disturbed for the time being."

Cherrymon, a Digimon that worked under Puppetmon since the beginning, was completely livid at the childish Digimon betrayal. All those years of servitude and minding his words to not make the puppet angry to prevent his annihilation at his hands, all gone to waste!

Now he was going to make him pay! He will be renowned as a hero by his remaining lords! And he will take pleasure of seeing the bastard puppet being crushed back to data and he will absorb that data himself!

He chuckled darkly. "My time has come!" He declared as he abandoned the forest section, to never go back.

As the blinding light fade away the Digidestined, their partners, and their three companions found themselves in a world of pure whiteness.

"Where are we?" Tai asked as he looked around.

Chuumon woke up and looked around. "Mimi what...?"

She patted his head. "Shhh... I think this might be important, I'll explain you later."

The Digimon looked confused at the white scenario, but nodded. He also shrink further in her grasp at seeing Puppetmon in the ground.

Homeostasis stood in front of all of them. "Long ago," She started. "When in your world the first network was created, so was the Digital World."

The white fade away and instead it showed the Digital World. Not the corrupted and twisted version of the Spiral Mountain, but a happier and prosperous place where Digimon lived in harmony.

"But where there's light and peace, there's darkness and chaos," Homeostasis stated.

Soon this peaceful world disappeared and instead a chaotic one took place. With many Digimon fighting to the dead and looking to gain more and more power, everything out of sheet greed.

"This is... Awful," Sora muttered.

Everyone else looked shaken at the scenes shown in front of them. Digimon were killing each other just for the sake of gaining power and gaining the ability to evolve.

"So, the Digital World like any system needed a way to keep balance within itself. That is my job," Homeostasis said.

"The meaning of Homeostasis is that of a group of factors and phenomenon that allows the maintenance and regulation of the stability and constancy needed to function properly," Izzy mused.

The being in Kari's body nodded. "That's right. I was created with the gathering of positive energies and the light in the Digital World, but like all the Digimon I have a database in this world only one without a body, that's why I can be in tune with the Child of Light, or with a child with a great amount of light in their hearts, and ask them to let me manifested," She confirmed. "And so, I managed to bring peace to the Digital World for a while... But the darkness eventually grew larger and a new threat appeared."

Dark clouds filled the world and from them the Dark Masters appeared and started to wreck havock in the Digital World.

"The Dark Masters?!" Tai exclaimed.

Puppetmon incorporate himself and looked at his past self in awe. "Oh! That's me! HI, ME!"

Obviously the past Puppetmon didn't listened to him.

"Well that's rude on my part," The actual one mumbled, everyone ignored him as well.

"My power wasn't enough to stop them, so I started to look for a solution before the power of the darkness consumed me..." The being explained. "I already knew of the existence of the Human World, since that's the place where our own world was created. But I also discovered the existence of another world."

Killua caught on quickly. "My world, right?"

Homeostasis nodded. "That's right. I found a world different yet similar to the Human World of the Digidestined. And learned all about it, including that ability you possess."

"Nen," Killua guessed again.

Homeostasis nodded. "Exactly. So, I used everything I had to do the four things: The first was to create the original Digivices."

In Homeostasis' palms appeared a Digivice, but this one was different. It was bigger and had a strap on his side, as if it was meant to be used around the wrist like a watch.

"Second I created five Digi-eggs with special Digimon in them," Five Digi-eggs appeared and the ancient Digivices were connected to them. "The third and fourth things were to create a gate that will allow the passage to different worlds and a set of keys that will open it."

The scenarios shifted again and they were in front of the same gatw that was in the basement of Myotismon's castle along with the set of cards.

"This way I decided to bring five children from the Human World to ours so they would help and save them," She turned to face them. "I choose children since they have innocent and pure hearts most of the time, while adults most of the time have ulterior motives." She said.

"And what was the criteria to choose them," Matt asked.

Homeostasis raised a hand. "I'll get to that in a minute." She promised. "However, I made a last minute decision before calling in the children choosen for this job." She said, getting back on track. "After learning of that world with the power of Nen and learning of what that power was able to do, I figured that it would be a great idea to bring a person with that ability to our world."

She waved her hand and the gate disappeared, instead showing a forest with six forms sprawled on the ground, along with five Digimon. "The task was hard, since most of the people that mastered this power were adults part of what the anomaly knows as the Hunter Association."

Killua nodded. "That's right. Nen is too complicated to learn, so for some it may take years to fully master it. And it's obligatory for a full fledged Hunter to learn it. Yet it has to be kept as a secret so it won't be used as a mass destructive weapon."

"So after looking into the data of that world for years, I managed to find a child with that mastered such power. It was the first anomaly. Named that way since it didn't belong to this world or the Human World," Homeostasis explained. "Not only did I choose them for the Nen, but their charisma and capability to be a leader."

Tai patted Killua on the back. "Well you guys have something in common then! You are the leader after all!"

Killua blushed and looked away. "I don't need you telling me that, idiot."

At that moment when he looked away, Killua tried to take a good look at his predecessor. At first he couldn't identify which of the children was but he thought he caught a glimpse of them for a moment, but the scene shifted again and he missed the chance to take a good look. Now the group found themselves in an all too familiar place.

"File Island!" T.K gasped, recognizing the place where their adventure started.

"In this place, the final battle between the first Digidestined and the Dark Masters took place," Homeostasis said.

"YOU CHEATED!" Puppetmon again exclaimed. "WE WERE CLOSE TO WINNING AND YOU CHEATED!"

Killua pushed the control and Puppetmon started dancing in pain. "AGIGIGIGIGII!" He yelled in pain.

Killua cleared his throat. "Sorry about that."

Homeostasis giggled while the group sweatdropped.

The mood was interrupted by an explosion and they watched the fight taking place around them.

Machinedramon was fighting with a Digimon with the form of a snake and metalic parts on his back.

A little girl, around twelve or fourteen years old, was watching the fight with worry in her face. "Megadramon!" She called in concern.

The Dark Master managed to land a Giga Cannon on Megadramon's stomach and sent him flying towards a mountain—leaving him unconscious.

The girl ran towards him and tried to shaken awake. "Megadramon! Wake up!"

The Digidestined watched powerless as Machinedramon got closer to the girl from behind, while she was trying to awake her partner.

"Get away from her!" Tai said, trying to put himself between the two.

"Tai, is useless!" Killua said. "This all already happened!"

To prove his point, Machinedramon walked past them like they were ghosts.

"It's just like when we saw Killua's memories," Gomamon said, shivering at the sight of the monster.

"Damnit! Girl, move!" Matt yelled, feeling as powerless as the others.

Machinedramon raised his claws to finish the girl and her partner. The girl turned in fear as she saw the mechanical monstrosity about to kill her.

There was no one to save her. The other Digidestined were all fighting with the other Dark Masters. Piedmon was fighting with one that looked like a mechanical lion, or a wolf, and a bipedal triceratops. MetalSeadramon with one that looked like a eight headed snake. And Puppetmon with one that looked like a hippogryph.

But then a figure leaped at the mechanical Dark Master, fist shrouded in white energy. "KO!"

The fist connected with the Dark Master and sent him flying away from the girl, making him even bounce in the ground and breaking part of its armor. The impact of the heavy Digimon on the ground lifted a cloud of smoke that covered the area where the girl and the figure were.

Jaws dropped at the display of power and turned to see the figure. It was masculine, and it was wearing a cloak of sorts with a hood. In the middle of the attack the hood fell, but the cloud of dust covered his face. He just took out one of the Dark Masters in one punch.

Killua could've sworn he saw that his hair was blue before he covered his face again with the hood of his cloak.

There was no doubt that that was the previous anomaly. Killua's predecessor.

"Man!" Agumon turned to Killua. "Can you do that?!"

"I... Don't know?" Could he? Killua wasn't sure he was that powerful and he didn't have the courage to try.

The previous anomaly knelt in front of the girl. "Are you okay?" He asked extending his hand.

The girl blushed and took his hand to stand up. "Y-yes..." She looked flustered, wheter it was for being rescued of for something else, they didn't know.

Killua didn't know why but the anomaly's voice sent shivers to his spine. It was familiar but he couldn't tell from where.

The anomaly smirked at the girl and then focused on the fallen opponent, who was rapidly getting back to his feet.

The anomaly looked around. "This looks bad, Maki," He told the girl, named Maki. "Stand back while I deal with Machinedramon." He told her, his aura exploding with Ren.

"B-but I..." Maki seemed ready to discuss.

The anomaly didn't listened. He grinned with excitement, but the actual Digidestined all saw it with a bit of malice in it.

He charged and moved with agility to dodged the Dark Master's attack.

Puppetmon scowled. "That anomaly was mean. He always ignored me and focused in fighting Machinedramon or Piedmon!"

Killua couldn't tear his eyes away from the fight. Trying to catch a glimpse on his predecessor's face, but between the fight and the constant movement and the cloak concealing his face, it was hard.

Another Digimon landed close to where Maki and Megadramon. It was a boy with dark hair with the bipedal triceratops. "Daigo!" Maki gasped.

All around the island the partners of the first Digidestined fell, much to the horror of the actual ones. "They lost...?" Mimi asked in disbelief, fear gripping her heart.

If they lost, then what awaits them?

Piedmon hovered over them. "Now. Time for the final curtain!" He said summoning his swords.

The anomaly looked back to where his comrades were, but that costed him a hit from Machinedramon's claws that sent him to where the two children were.

"The Dark Masters took the children by surprise before they could reach the Mega Level," Homeostasis said. "So I acted."

Pretty much like Kari, Maki started shining, causing the Dark Masters to shrink away from her.

The possessed Maki turned to the anomaly, bringing the Digivice attached to the girl's wrist up. "Anomaly, bring me your powet to defear those who alter the peace."

The anomaly looked at the past Homeostasis and smirked. "Okay. Thought I feel bad that it has to end so soon~"

He grabbed Maki's hand and the girl's Digivice shined and all of the fallen Ultimates started shining with a golden color.

All of them raised to the sky and their forms started changing, except for Megadramon.

"With my power and the anomaly's combined, I gave four of them the Mega power. They were known afterwards as the Harmonious Ones."

The bipedal triceratops, the eight headed snake, the hippogryph, and the metalic lion all turned evolved to their most powerful forms. A long, blue dragon, A turtle with two heads and a tree on its back. A phoenix. And a saber tooth tiger.

Megadramon stayed the same, yet he still shined with the holy power. The four megas concentrate their power on the Ultimate and liberated a powerful attack.

The Dark Masters of the past all received it and then a bright light covered the world.

Once again, the actual Digidestined were in a world of whiteness.

"After that," Homeostasis said. "The Dark Masters were sealed in the Dark Zone. And the Harmonious Ones became the guardians of the Digital World. And the Digital World suffered a... Soft reset of sorts to bring everything back to normal."

"You cheated!" Puppetmon acussed again.

just showed him the control in his hand.

"I'll shut up, now," Puppetmon grumbled.

"But what about Megadramon?" Wizardmon asked.

Homeostasis shook her head. "Sadly, he sacrificed himself in the battle. And his data couldn't be reborn due to the reset."

"Poor Megadramon," Gatomon said, her ears dropping.

"And her poor partner!" Sora said. "Poor girl must've been heartbroken."

"What happened to the Harmonious Ones?" Gabumon asked.

"Fearing that some day the Dark Masters could return-"

"-Which we did- AGUFGGJFHDH!"

Puppetmon should have learned by now...

Ignoring the interruption she continued. "Azulongmon, one of them, created the order. Digital lifeforms that would basically do the same thing I did the first time around." The scene shifted to a group of people with hooded cloaks working on some computers. "They created the new Digivices and they also created the analysis bracelets."

"Bracelets?" Killua looked at Homeostasis. "So the things I had around my hands..."

"They were incomplete," Homeostasis told him. "They were meant to analyze you, but mainly your Nen to learn more about it in case the order couldn't ask you about it. But not to block you completly from using it, or for it to reduce your strength. The only thing we learned about Nen with the previous anomaly is that Digimon can't use it."

"We can't?!" All of the Digimon present asked.

"Make senses... Nen is used by opening the 'aura nodes' in our bodies. The Chimera Ants have it because some of them are part human," Killua explained. "Digimon are a different species so they might not have it.

"They don't," Homeostasis confirmed. "Which is why the order wanted to learn more about it and make the bracelets. The bracelets were linked to the Digivices so by them being activated the process will be accelerated. I apologize for the trouble they caused you. They were meant to help."

Killua shrugged. "Is all over now, I don't have them anymore."

"That information is now lost however, the order is no more," Homeostasis said.

"What do you mean?" Wizardmon asked.

"Before I explain, I'll solve another question the Child of Friendship made. 'Why you of all children in the world were chosen?'" She said. "I explained why I choose the anomalies, but when it comes to the Digidestined from the Human World I took other factors. The main one being..."

She waved her hand and they were all on the streets of Hikarigaoka. And up in the sky was a portal that was taking away two Digimon that were fighting.

"Those are..." Tai recognized them. "Greymon and that Digimon from four years ago!"

"Exactly," Homeostasis nodded. "Four years ago, in the Human World, a Digi-egg ended in the home of the Kamiya siblings. It hatched and grew into a Greymon in the span of a few days, when said process normally takes years, and faced Parrotmon, the bird Digimon. That's the main criteria when I decided to bring your predecessors to the Digital World. But this time there was something else."

From the portal that took the past Greymon and Parrotmon away from the Human World, eight beams of light shot out from it and illuminated eight children.

"Hey, that's me!" T.K gasped, poiting to a four-year old version of himself, standing beside a 7 year old Matt. Both of them watching the event from a balcony.

"And me!" Joe said, poiting to another balcony. His eight year old version had a cellphone with him.

"Oh! That's me!" Mimi pointed to her version, that was trying to get a better look at what was happening from her balcony.

"Exactly," Homeostasis said and they all started floating towards the portal. "Tai and Kari both raised the Digimon that came out of the egg until he was a Greymon and he defend them against the wild Parrotmon."

They all crossed the portal and were back in the lab of the order.

"I don't get it," Tai said. "How could Kari and I raise a Digimon to make him evolve without a Digivice."

Homeostasis shook her head. "The Digivice isn't the mean to acces the Digivolution, but to accelerate it. Just like they did with the bracelets. All you need for a Digimon to evolve is to form a bond with them and the Digivice will strengthen that bond to make the Digivolution easier."

They noticed something new in the lab. A showcase with eight Digi-eggs, the Digivices and Tags.

"Those Digi-eggs!" T.K gasped. "They are...?"

Homeostasis, again, nodded. "Yes, your partners. All of them created to be linked to the Digivice and Crests made from the data we gathered from you."

"I get that Kari and Tai were chosen because they raised the original Digi-egg," Izzy said. "But why the rest of us?"

"After running several tests of different scenarios with the data gathered, we discovered that all eight of you had the potential to raise a Digimon correctly. That's why we also created the Crests. Unlike the Digivices that are an... Upgrade of sorts from the ones I made all those years ago, the Crests were created from the data we gathered from you," She smiled. "All of you know their meaning by now, right?"

The kids all looked at their Crests. "Courage!" Tai said.

"Love," Sora said, feeling proud of finally learning the true meaning behind the word.

"Hope!" T.K said, waving his Crest in the air.

"Purity." Mimi was starting to slowly understand the reason why she was her, even if she still felt fear. Chuumon looked at her and put his hand on hers. Mimi smiled at the pink creature that at first caused her so much disgust, now she just saw a cute little and loyal friend.

"Knowledge," Izzy would never forsake his thirst for knowledge. Be it by investigating or by having experiences along his friends.

"Reliability," Joe dreamed to be a doctor and help people, he guessed it was fitting for him.

"... Friendship," Sometimes Matt felt he didn't deserved this Crest. He was always questioning the ideas of others and in an occasion he insulted Joe, Tai and Killua—And even T.K—When he lost his temper. Then again... He was ready to burst in Puppetmon's mansion for Killua after he gave himself up to them.

"Just like the anomalies were chosen for their potential as leaders, you were chosen for having those traits deep within yourselves," Homeostasis explained. "Without them, you could have used your Digimon in an egoistical manner. But those traits shouldn't be forced to come out, or it would trigger a wrong evolution."

"Like Skull Greymon," Killua guessed.

Tai clenched his fist. "Because I put myself in danger on purpose, I was reckless not brave or courageous. That's what triggered it."

"But you learned from it and knew the true meaning of Courage," Homeostasis smiled.

Killua looked at the eggs. "What happened? If you were all so prepared for the Dark Masters' comeback—Not a word out of you, Puppetmon, or I'll fry you!" He warned the puppet who had his mouth open for a witty remark. "Then what happened to the order? And why were the Crests dispersed across the Server Continent?"

Homeostasis looked down. "We underestimate the Dark Masters. They reemerged from the Dark Zone sooner than we expected and attacked the Harmonious Ones, sealing them and stopping them from acting."

Puppetmon bit back a chuckle as he remembered that.

"And so they attacked the research center when the order had their guard down."

The door on the lab bursted open and an army of mechanical Digimon appeared and started attacking all of the members of the order.

"They arrived!" Wizardmon gasped.

Izzy identified the Digimon as Mechanorimon and Guardromon. They all started causing chaos, attacking the members of the order without any mercy.

Tai clenched his teeth. "Damn those Dark Masters!" He turned to Puppetmon. "How could you do something like this."

"Hey, I wasn't even there! Piedmon said he was the one to take care of this!" The puppet said.

That didn't make Tai any less angry.

Killua placed a hand on his shoulder. "Relax. I know it's frustrating but right now we can't do anything, and we still need Puppetmon as an ally."

Tai let out a curse and looked away. "Damnit!"

Once again, just like the battle the first Digidestined had, they were powerless as the army attacked the research lab.

Out of the smoke and debris, none other than Piedmon appeared and started getting closer to the showcase where the Digi-eggs were. "Hahahaha!" He broke the window and grabbed the Tag with the Crests.

"Get away from them!" A member of the order said.

That member dashed at Piedmon with a sword in hand. The evil Digimon blocked it with one of his own. "Gennai!"

Everyone did a double take. "Gennai?!"

The hood fell and they saw a, definitely younger, version of Gennai from the past.

Piedmon parried Gennai back, but he went again with an diagonal swing. Piedmon dodged and put himself behind Gennai's back, he introduced a black ball on the young man's back causing him to grunt in pain.

Gennai realized this fight wasn't one he could win. So he jumped over a Mechanorimon and opened its cockpit. "Get out of there!" He said to a Bakemon that was inside of it, manipulating the machine Digimon.

Now inside of the robot, he took the eggs and the Digivices and escaped by opening a hole in the ceiling.

Piedmon pointed his sword at him. "FOLLOW HIM, NOW! BRING ME THE DIGIVICES!"

Many Mechanorimon followed the man through the hole.

Homeostasis make them all float again. "We should follow too!"

As they leaved the base of the order behind, Killua grew curious. "When Gennai first contacted us, he said it was Devimon who sealed the Tags and Crests. But you just showed it was Piedmon. And why wouldn't he just destroy them? Not that I'm complaining about that part..."

"That black ball Piedmon put on Gennai's back had been affecting him negatively," Homeostasis said. "He wasn't even supposed to age and yet he did. That's why he forgot so much about the order, and his mission. Only remembering about the Crests and the Digidestined. He even forgot your role in this, anomaly."

"And Piedmon couldn't destroy the Crests no matter how hard he tried!" Puppetmon said. "So he sealed them away through the continent. Then because other Digimon were appearing wanting the same thing as us we said "Hey, why not?" And decided to take some vacations before regaining our full power!"

Killua nodded, satisfied by both responses and feeling empathy for the old man as well as a bit of guilt. Now he knew he wasn't cryptic without a reason, he had forgotten about his past because of the Dark Masters. "Other thing: Were you the one who send the mail with the combination to go back to my home?"

Homeostasis nodded. "Yes. I watched as you were unable to access your full power due to the incomplete bracelets and could feel the conflict within you because of the situation of your world. So I decided that it may have been for the best to let you go home, since the Digidestined all had the same choise. If worst came to worst, and the Digidestined weren't enough to deal with the Dark Masters, I would have used the door again to bring you back."

Killua scowled at that thought, of being called back and forth like some sort of slave. But couldn't fault the entity, since making sure this world was safe was her duty and she needed him to fulfill that duty. He didn't like the idea, but understood it and respect it—If reluctantly.

They watched as Gennai took down the other Mechanorimon in a battle through the air. But one blast from the enemy hit him, causing him to drop a Digivice and an egg.

"That's me!" Gatomon gasped as she saw her egg fall. Her eyes narrowed in sorrow "Now I see why I wasn't with the others back then..."

"Well you are now," Wizardmon commented. "And if it wasn't this way, we may have never met."

Gatomon smiled at her old friend's comfort. "Right!"

Gennai beat with ease the other enemies with ease and reaching the place where it all began: File Island.

He dropped the eggs and Digivices there and flew off, to fool any future persecutors.

The group landed on the island and Homeostasis narrated. "And after some time, the eggs hatched."

She was right. Days and Nights passed in an instant and the seven eggs hatched and the Baby forms of their friends appeared, holding the Digivices on their mouths.

Agumon smiled. "I remember! I was always holding the Digivice waiting for someone to arrive! And the moment Tai fell from the sky I knew it was him!"

The scene shifted. The Babies were now In-trainings and from the sky eight children fell. All seven In-trainings started celebrating at seeing them.

Then, back to whiteness.

"Now you understand?" Homeostasis asked. "You have all unique traits and potential to help rid this world from the shadows."

"Puppetmon," Killua turned to the former Dark Master. "What is exactly the Dark Masters objective?"

"Honestly? I don't know?" He shrugged. "I just know that one day I existed and Piedmon said that together we had to rearrange this world to our image. And since he is kind of the leader we all followed him... We didn't wanted to get stabbed." He muttered the last part.

"Whatever the case, you have to turn this world back to normal," Homeostasis said. "That way the system will be able to fix the distortions that are causing both worlds to merge together. And to do that, first you'll have to beat the Dark Masters together."

"Piximon mentioned something about our true potential," Sora said. "Do you know what that is?"

"I do, but I can't help you reach it. Only you can," She said. "Just follow your hearts and do what you believe is right. That's what brought you all so far, right?"

The whole group smiled and nodded. And, once again, there was a blinding light.

Kari stirred awake. She opened her eyes to see the worried faces of Gatomon, Tai and Killua. "Brother? What happened?"

"You don't remember?" Tai asked.

"No... I think I had a dream with beautiful lights," She said as she got up.

"We'll tell you later then, don't worry." Killua reassured her with a smiled and Kari nodded.

The group all gathered in a circle in the clearing. "Now that we finally know why we are here, are you all prepared?" Killua asked.

Mimi tightened her grip in Chuumon. "I do... Doesn't mean I'm not scared, but I don't want anyone else to suffer."

"I do so too," Matt said. "What now, then?"

"If what Puppetmon said is true, then Machinedramon is planning to take out the resistance group," Killua said. "Then I suggest this: We separate in two groups, one that goes to warn the resistance and other that takes out Machinedramon," He looked at Matt and Tai. "You'll have to be in different groups, so each group has a Mega to lean on."

"Got it," They said at the same time. Then Tai said. "I want to go after Machinedramon! I prefer to stop him before he attacks."

"And with VictoryGreymon's Dramon Breaker we have a bigger chance to win!" Agumon said.

Kari grabbed his hand. "Then I'll go with you." Tai nodded and gave her a smile.

"Then I guess I'll go for the resistance," Matt shrugged.

Joe raised his hand. "I'll go with the resistance. They might need medical help and even though they are Digimon I wanna help them!"

"Me too! " Mimi said. "I'll go with Joe, then!"

Chuumon looked at her. "Then I guess I go with you," for the first time the pink Digimon had an optimistic tone in his voice. Mimi smiled at him.

Killua nodded. "Good idea. In that case," He turned to Wizardmon. "Go with them. In case they have injured."

Wizardmon looked at Gatomon, who gave him a thumbs up. "Got it."

T.K took his brother's hand. "I'll go with you!"

"T.K?" Matt looked surprise. "I thought you didn't want me to coddle you..."

"Mom said to look out for each other," T.K said with a smile. "So I also have to go with you to make sure you are safe!"

Matt chuckled. "Hehehe. Guess your right."

"Four out of five," Killua said. "I'll go against Machinedramon too... After seeing the previous anomaly in action I... I think I could try and fight him..." He said clenching his fist.

Tai clapped his back. "You'll do great, pal!"

Killua nodded. "Puppetmon you are obviously coming to keep an eye on you!"

Puppetmon smiled. "I wanted to go anyway! I want to beat the crap out of Machinedramon!"

"Just when Killua stopped swearing," Sora sighed. "I'll go with you guys, in case you need areal support." She said patting Piyomon's head.

"I'll go too," Izzy said. "You'll need my scanner in case Machinedramon pulls our a weir trick."

Killua clapped his hands. "Then it's decided! Once Machinedramon is beaten, us along with the resistance will take on Piedmon!"

"YEAH!" They all raised their hands in triumph. Feeling motivated.

And so, both groups went on separate ways

On another area of Spiral Mountain.

"I told you, my lord! Puppetmon has betrayed us!" Cherrymon said.

Machinedramon stared at the screen. His mechanical face not betraying anything.

"So in exchange of this information, I ask for a position as your equal!" He said. "And to give me the chance to kill Puppetmon by my own hand."

Machinedramon was quite for a moment. The he turned around and shot his Giga Cannon at the cherry tree Digimon before he could even try to defend himself.

'Demanding such things is ridiculous. And Piedmon would never accept something like that. Puppetmon will be punished for his betrayal, but at our hands, not in the hands of a greedy Digimon.' Was what he thought but from his mouth came a growl. "Grrrr..."
