Disclaimer:

I do not own the PJO characters.

The figures emerged from the darkness. I gasped. It was Connor and Travis.

I stood up and ran to them. They embraced me in a hug, and I began crying into their shoulders. "H-how are you- W-why are you here?" I said as I backed up.

"Well, we both had the same nightmare about you, and we knew you were in trouble," Travis said.

"So we snuck out of camp and hightailed it to the airport," Connor finished.

The brothers were eventually able to get us out of our bonds and we rushed to the stairway as fast as we could. After we were all heading up the stairs, we hear Nemesis. "Augh! How did they escape! What are you waiting for! Go find them!"

I assumed she was talking to her hellhounds that had surrounded us earlier. "Come on hurry," Calypso said from behind us. We raced up to a small opening that I hadn't noticed when we had come down this way.

"Guys, in here," I said pointing at the opening.

"That won't work, they'll notice us," Calypso said who was now ahead of me.

"Just trust me." We all squeezed into the small opening. Thankfully the walls were made of stone, so I lifted my hand and the stone started coming off the walls. I took the stones and placed them in front of the opening making a wall that had looked like it had always been there.

I turned to face the others but then realized that it was pitch black. I willed myself to glow, lighting up the small area.

We kept silent as the hellhounds passed. One of them I could here stop and sniff the wall but didn't think much of it, so it turned around and followed the others.

Once they had all passed, I let out a deep breath. "Thank the gods," I heard Calypso mumble.

"What now?" Connor asked.

"I guess we have to find a way out," I said turning back to the fake wall.

I tore down the wall and put the stones back in their original places. We kept heading up the many stairs and made sure to keep quiet so that Nemesis and her hellhounds wouldn't hear us.

We eventually made it up to the top of the stairs, but it had felt a lot longer than when we had gone down. We emerged from the stairs, but we weren't where we had originally gone in at. We were now in someone's basement.

"Where are we?" Jamie wondered.

We then found a hatch. "Wait," I said, "It can't be this easy, can it? I mean nothing is this easy for us."

"I don't know, but we at least have to try, we need to get out of here," Jamie said.

Apparently he was right because Travis opened the door and it led to someone's backyard. Just like that we were out. I was still skeptical though, it should not have been that easy.

We walked out to the street and began wondering around trying to find a place to stay for the night. "Hey Travis?" I asked pulling him to the back of the group.

"Yeah?"

"H-how's Coral doing?"

"Uh, she's doing fine, I guess. But when we had left, she couldn't stop crying, she really misses you."

I just looked at the ground. I didn't want to leave her, but I had to go on this quest.

"We were thinking of bringing her with us, but then thought that it wasn't such a good idea because of the dream we had," Connor said as he walked closer to us.

"Y-yeah," I said, "I just miss her."

We walk in silence until we had found a hotel. We walked inside and Calypso went to the counter to get us a room.

"Hey," Jamie said walking up to me with his hands in his pockets, "You okay?"

"I-I'll be fine," I lied. Jamie could tell I was lying but decided not to press any further.

After a few minutes Calypso came back over to us and said, "I was able to get us a two king sized bed room, most of the other rooms are booked."

"Thanks, one of us can just sleep on the floor," I told Calypso.

We got to the room just to find that someone was already in there.

I looked in awe, "H-Hera?"

Thanks for reading! So I'm going to mention some things that I didn't in the last chapter because I hadn't gotten the last chapter done until about 12:30 in the morning and I was pretty tired. So first off, to WiseGirl, I love that my chapter make you feel better and I'm glad that I have inspired you to write fanfic even if you don't post it. But I just want to let you know that I too didn't want to post my writing because I was afraid that people wouldn't like it, but I'm glad I did because it makes my day to read some of the reviews that people leave me. I'm not telling you that you have to post your fanfic, but keep that in mind. Second, to Bdarwin, I have a suggestion that I think you might like. Its really good and it's a mix between the Avengers and PJO. Its called The Second Trojan War: The Player and the Pawns by Star-Of-Radiance. I really like it and its very interesting so you might enjoy it as well. Anyways that's it for today and I hope you stay safe.
