Of You, Me, and Us

Summary: "I like you." When those words left her lips, Botan had expected to hear him utter words of apology. After all, she didn't think he felt the same way about her. She didn't expect Kurama looking straight at her in the eyes before leaning closer to kiss her. And although he didn't say anything, one glance at the expression on his face was enough to tell her: she was his now.

Chapter 50: Catching Up

"Yo."

Botan recognized the all too familiar voice before she could even look up from her desk, a bright, wide smile spreading on her lips as she averted her gaze from the paper in front of her to peer over the tall figure of Koenma's teenage form stepping inside through the automatic sliding doors. The trademark pacifier was evident between his lips as his mouth slanted upwards into an impertinent grin.

"Koenma-sama! Been a long time since I've seen you," the deity greeted with her habitual cheerful beam.

"Yeah," Koenma expelled a short-lived bout of laughter as he took a seat on one of the chairs reserved specifically for patients neatly placed against the wall close to the reception counter where Botan and a couple of her patients were gathered at. "I wanted to check up on you, aside from seeing you to disclose some news." He paused as he discerned the slight twitch at one corner of Botan's lips as her smile nearly wavered. "Happy news, I can assure you," he briskly reassured her, the grin latched on his mouth broadening ever so slightly.

Botan parted her lips to sound out a response when the sound of the sliding doors slithering open once more reverberated in her ears. She directed her lilac irises back to the entrance just in time to see her husband trudge into the thresholds of her clinic as their twins trailed closely behind him. He met her warm stare with his equally loving one before he aimed his eyes slightly to the side to catch sight of the all too familiar demons perched on the patients' seats in front of the counter. A single, delicate scarlet eyebrow rose to disappear in his fringe as he levelled a curious ogle at the two.

"Yomi? Shura? What brings the both of you here?" the red-headed fox inquired in a thoughtful manner as he ambled towards his former partner and his son. He proffered his wife a doting, chaste kiss on the forehead before gesturing another question, "Is either of you suffering from any injuries or…"

Yomi swiftly waved a hand at him in a reassuring manner once Kurama's concerned baritone echoed around them, prompting the blind demon to let out a low, amused fit of chuckles. "No, nothing of the sort, Kurama. I really wanted to stop by to see how you were doing. Last time I visited, your lovely twins were about the sizes of toddlers. I see time has passed by quite a lot." He then craned his neck a little to the side to where Ume and Tsubaki were hovering over Kurama's shoulder for some added emphasis.

Ume bent her back in a form of a humble bow, though her brother was adamant in sustaining his macho exhibit as he crossed his arms over his chest and stuck his nose in the air in a haughty manner. This arrogant posturing, however, didn't last long as Ume immediately grabbed his head and forced him to assume a similar reverent bow.

The baffled, single thin line on Kurama's lips sloped upwards into an equally amicable smile as he responded to Yomi's cordial slant with his own. He proceeded to ignore the high-pitched bickering of his litter as they shortly indulged in another heated mouth-war.

"You could have given me some kind of warning beforehand that you were coming. You even brought Shura along I see," he answered with a laughing tone as he diverted his peridots over to where Yomi's son in question was seated. Shura sounded a scoff before rolling his eyes to the side in uncurbed annoyance. He appeared to have outgrown his child-like physique, Kurama briefly noted, as his body seemed to resemble Tsubaki's teenage form.

"Shura's having his teenage rebellion phase as you can tell, so I do hope you pardon his lack of manners. Not that his immaturity wasn't established already back when he was younger," Yomi articulated in a calm timbre, though the scintilla of impatience was latent beneath. His son sputtered behind him but he paid no heed to the indignant tantrum Shura was instigating as he shrewdly went on, "And I wanted the visit to be a surprise, you see. I was on my way to your house when I came across Botan-san over here," he spared himself a moment of respite to nod his head once at the former ferry girl for a hint of accentuation, "and walked her over to her clinic. She informed me that you would be coming by a little bit later so I opted to keep her company in the meantime. Your wife is a pleasant partner for chattering as usual."

"Goodness, Yomi-san. You always praise me so," came Botan's sheepish riposte as she coupled it with a refined, girlish throes of giggles.

"Perhaps a little too much," Kurama murmured under his breath as he seized a gentle hold on his wife's hand before conferring another affectionate kiss on the golden ring wrapped around her finger.

Although, his voice lacked the sliver of fused animosity and envy that usually went hand in hand with this kind of sentence, and instead, was heavily laced with a tart approach. He was aware that it was another harmless jibe made out of Yomi's sheer amusement whenever the fox would give out a rather displeased reaction to his constant compliments directed at his spouse. To this day, Yomi was still laughing over how Botan clearly had him collared and leashed.

"It's a genuinely friendly flattery, Botan-san," Yomi enunciated his reply in a respectful tonality as he gestured his head over to the blue-haired deity. Despite everything, he actually did nurture a profuse surge of purely platonic admiration towards her - both for her unfathomable depths of kindness and her astonishing capability of tying Kurama down. "Albeit, your husband over here gets a little testy whenever I applaud you for something. I see his possessive streak hasn't diminished in the slightest," he added the snide remark as his congenial smile took on the approach of a playful smirk.

Kurama opened his mouth to offer a witty interpose of his own when Botan's chortling timbre chimed in his ears, the pleasant sound effectively cutting him short. "Well, I think it's adorable that he gets so protective over me. Aren't you so cute, my little baby, Kura-chan?" Botan cooed at her mate as she cupped his chin with one hand and proceeded to tap her thumb over the plump skin of his lower lips.

Heat rushed over to the ex-bandit's cheeks and colored his skin a vivid ruby of shame as his wife's excessive baby-talk resounded in the comfortable ambiance around them. Nevertheless of his overwhelming embarrassment, he left another kiss on the rose-tinted pad of her thumb as he wisely chose to disregard the snickers he could distinctly hear coming from both Koenma and Yomi. Shura and Tsubaki's expressions appeared to reflect horrified disgust as its finest as the two's jaws fell open in absolute terror whilst Ume, on the other hand, was seemingly unperturbed.

"That aside though," Kurama started as he grazed his lips over Botan's fingers one by one a final time before setting their joined hands together on the desk and interlacing their digits together. His stare was now rerouted towards Koenma as he spoke, "I figured we wouldn't be seeing you until next month, Koenma. Is there something going on?"

The Reikai prince exhaled a loud, exasperated sigh as he perceived the fretting baritone palpable from the fox's vocal chords. "Why do you two always assume some kind of hostile adversary is trying to disturb the peace in the human realm everytime I come by? Well, guess I can't blame you though." He parted his lips to eventually apprise them of the current situation before Botan promptly pushed herself off her reception chair.

"Wait, let me brew some tea and prepare nice, delicious cookies for all of us before we talk. Feels a little bit odd to be conversing at the counter like this. That, and my butt is numb from all the sitting," Botan announced cheerfully, another howl of gladdened giggles leaving her lips as she noticed the slight creasing of her husband's eyebrows into an infinitesimal frown.

She stood on her toes and stole his lips in a brief, featherlight kiss before he could chastise her for her unabashed admission over her 'butt', and immediately went to skip over to the staff's room somewhere at the back in a not-so-subtle attempt to elude his reprimanding lecture.

"I think mom's the only one you let get away with whatever she says and does. Well, her and grandma," came his son's teasing interject as soon as Botan's happy footsteps dwindled into nothing, leaving in its wake only the amusement lingering in the air as the men in the closed space all sent him taunting, lopsided smirks.

"You say that as if I'm not being lenient as it is already with you, Tsubaki," Kurama settled with the benign retort as his lips outlined a patient smile. He ignored Tsubaki's embarrassed holler as he placed a hand over the top of his son's head and began ruffling his locks of sky blue mane.

"I wish you would stop treating me like a kid," Tsubaki grumbled under his breath in a grudging tone as Kurama continued to disregard his transparent vexation in favor of striding for the set of couches at the other corner of the area. The rest followed his actions and went to where the fox was now perched at as he flopped down on one of the four-seater sofas.

And as it regularly went, his twin was brisk in taking advantage of the circumstances to poke fun at his expense. "Maybe when you stop acting like a child he would."

"Why I ought to…"

"Tsubaki." Kurama's voice rang in a patent warning edge, the stern trace in his rich, smooth timbre instantly halting Tsubaki in his endeavors to punch a fist to his sister's face. "Our house is one thing, but you will not render your mother's workplace into a barely unrecognizable mess. I'm quite confident that she will not be pleased with you as well if you do."

Tsubaki drew his lips tight but complied regardless as he steadily lowered his arm, paying no mind to Ume's cocky snickers all the while in order to keep his composure intact. The last thing he wanted was to have his eardrums reduced to a bleeding state due to the brutal verbal assault of Kurama's rather harsh upbraiding. His father was a sophisticated man and had never even utilized coarse language in his entire life so far, but his words really did have the propensity to land a critical blow to anyone's inflated ego. What was worse than that was the notion of eliciting his mother's wrath though - if she wasn't horror incarnate, Tsubaki didn't know who else could fit the description.

Tsubaki and Ume had joined their father on the four-seater sofa, with the twin brother at his left and the sister leaving an empty seat open at Kurama's right, most likely chartered for their mother who would be returning soon. Yomi, Shura and Koenma took their respective seats on the three-seater sofa across from them as a few minutes of small talk then lasted before Botan finally pottered back into the lobby area.

Kurama was helping her set the warm beverages and plate of mouth-watering chocolate chip cookies on the coffee table in a perfectly organized manner when Yomi's voice quipped in, "I must say though, Tsubaki, you certainly did grow up to become somewhat of the opposite of your father. You remind me more of your mother with your outspoken demeanor, though your teenage habits seem similar to that of Urameshi. Not that it's a bad thing of course."

"Oh, yeah," came Tsubaki's casual response as his lips curled upwards into a broad, exuberant grin, the slant exposing his row of perfect, pearly white teeth. "I guess that's because I hang around Uncle Yusuke and Uncle Kuwa a lot. I've picked up some of their...attitude, I guess. Dad was pretty pissed at first. I guess he wanted to mold me into a younger version of him."

"I was not...miffed," Kurama muttered, his lips flattening against each other. Though the muted chagrin dormant underneath his level-headed greens served to symbolize otherwise. "Startled was more like it. But I've accepted it as a part of him at some point." He emitted another soft, defeated sigh for the umpteenth time that day.

Yomi threw his head back and expelled a wholehearted outburst of laughter as he caught on to the prominent morsel of exhaustion in Kurama's even-tempered smile. "I see that parenthood has been fairly gruelling for you as well, Kurama. With your abnormal ability to be capable of juggling almost everything with utmost ease, I had reckoned you would be able to go through being a father without even perspiring a bead of sweat. I suppose the daunting responsibilities of being a parent has also taken its toll on you." A knowing crumb was apparent in his companionable timbre as he voiced this - after all, with his own portion of frustrations over Shura's continuous display of defiance, Yomi could relate to the fox's struggles all too well.

"Yes, well," Kurama paused to take a sip of his jasmine tea, allowing a fleeting second to savor the sweet taste as it skirted down his throat, "when you have a couple of always arguing twins who are also playful fox demons, mind you, you would find it laborious and fruitless to try and keep things in control most of the time. God knows how many times they have rendered my household into a mess. Brawls are not uncommon either."

His former partner formed an unusually sympathetic smile, though his words were more of an invitation than implied empathy as they drummed out from the back of his throat, "If it helps, the two of you are welcome to stop by Makai sometime to spar with Shura. I would very much like to see how both of you fare with my son. In spite of his juvenile personality, I am quite proud of his overall strength as a fighter."

Shura's lips contoured a tight scowl as he asserted a mildly infuriated quibble under his breath, "Leave it to you to give me a backhanded compliment."

Yomi prudently opted to pretend he didn't hear that. "In any case, I can tell that Tsubaki bears a striking alikeness with him in so many ways. I was wondering if your children intend to follow in your steps and continue the legacy of horticulture manipulation."

"I'd love to inherit father's expertise in plant control," Ume chimed in before Tsubaki could, her voice heavily laced in blatant admiration and awe as her cheeks tinctured a salmon pink in a slight flush. "There are an abundance of possibilities to be explored with such a power. And I look up to my father, and would openly admit that I do - unlike my less smarter brother who often prioritizes his male pride despite his pretty clear-cut respect for father."

Tsubaki was quick to cut in. "Should I kick my foot so far up your ass for that comment?"

But Ume went on regardless, nonchalant of her brother's empty threat. "And he has this rather aggravating tendency to cover his embarrassment with painful acts of arrogance and death threats. I must say, I am unable to tell which one of us is the older one - then again, he was born a mere five minutes earlier than myself, so I suppose his five year old mentality is not much of a surprise."

That was when Tsubaki's ill-temper reared its ugly head. "Huh? Maybe I should ram my foot in your stupid mouth instead to shut you up," the offended holler rumbled through his chest as a vein visibly popped at the left side of his forehead. He levelled his sister with an icy glare, the intensity of his glower giving away his furious intent to incinerate her and reduce her into a pile of ashes. However, Ume remained poised, elegantly sipping on her tea as if she was blissfully ignorant of her brother's menacing stare.

Kurama halted Tsubaki's fist before it could lunge anywhere near Ume's visage, whilst Botan suspired a heavy sigh, the sound indicating her fermenting vexation. "I do apologize for their rude mannerisms, Yomi-san. They have a knack of provoking each other for no reason. It's no wonder that they thrash the house all the time."

The demon in question released a short-lived howl of laughter as he gave a dismissive wave of his right hand as if in a form of reassurance. "It's alright. Children will be children, after all, and I can only imagine how often siblings scuffle. Shura is already a handful on his own," he rejoined in a courteous baritone, swerving his head slightly just in time to avoid an attack as his son attempted to propel his fist to his left cheek.

Botan gave out an understanding nod before a warm, contented smile grazed her full lips. "Well, I still find my little twins to be endearing though. I wouldn't exchange them for anything in the world," she stated her candid confession, the syllables erupting from her throat in an uninhibited, profound torrent of maternal affection.

Her husband mimicked her actions. "Agreed."

"At any rate, as long as all of you are happy, I guess the constant repairs to your house are worth it," Koenma chiselled in after long moments of simply observing their back and forth banters from the sidelines. He brought his cup to his lips and took a single, indulgent sip before proceeding, "I guess the money you two earn as a result from Botan's hard work at the clinic and Kurama's never-ending contribution to the Hatanaka Corporation is ample enough to pay for the expensive costs. That-" He spared a brief glance at the redhead, who merely arched an eyebrow at him in an inquisitive manner in return, "-and it would seem that the artifacts Kurama had managed to purloin back in his thieving days were also valuable."

The fox caught on to the moderate disapproval in the prince's timbre, but continued to feign innocence as he craned his neck slightly to the side, his eyelids fluttering in a slow, guiltless blink. "Ah, yes. The vast amount of riches I stole. They do assist me a lot."

"I guess telling you to return them to their original place and owners is going to get me nowhere," came Koenma's mithered reply, his voice holding a glaring edge of sarcasm as he spoke.

Kurama's smile was nothing short of polite, though there lingered a modicum of mockery in the slant of his lips that Koenma could detect all too well. "What do you expect, Koenma? For me to remit the treasures I managed to snatch? Goodness, sounds like a very troublesome plan. It's not as if most of the places and owners I looted them from are existent at the present. Might as well put them to good use instead of letting them go to waste."

"Indeed," the prince huffed out a dry remark, before he then bit the inside of his cheek to prevent himself from asking the former bandit about the artifacts he had purloined from Reikai's vault. Which he still made no effort to return by the way. Koenma was quite convinced that Kurama still kept them among his many priceless possessions, but he decided to leave him be.

"Ume seems to take after Kurama a lot more though," Koenma alternated the subject as he chose to disregard Kurama's mischievous, lopsided smirk. But you obviously only inherited half of his patience if you give in to your brother's provocations on a regular basis. He wanted to verbalize the additional musing, but stopped himself at the last minute out of the complete fear of being mangled to death.

"Yes, I'm the embodiment of an exemplary daughter anyone could ever hope for," came Ume's rather pompous declaration as she gestured a hand to herself, her chin held up high in an equally conceited manner.

I see Youko's cockiness has also rubbed off on you. The temptation to vocalize his thoughts crawled up his throat once more before he pushed the words down to the pits of his gut in order to salvage himself the trouble of being rendered into a bleeding mess. Instead, he forced out a half-truth of his personal conceptions of her, "I don't doubt that in the slightest. You look to be a well-educated young lady. Any man who has the opportunity to win your heart is a lucky man indeed." Save for the fact that he might get ripped apart if he so much as insults you of course. Koenma added the inward note, but wisely kept his mouth shut for the third time.

Blood rushed to Ume's head as a brilliant vermillion embellished her cheeks in the form of an embarrassed blush. "T-thank you, Koenma-sama-sir, er… I mean, thank you." Her timid answer rippled out her throat in a barely audible murmur as she fiddled her thumbs in a meek guise.

And weirdly enough, you also got your mother's easily bashful attribute when it comes to people showering you with compliments. A mirthful smile inclined at the corners of his lips and complemented the gleam of levity in his hazel orbs as he watched her stammer for a few more moments.

This lovable exhibit, however, was short-lived as Kurama's curt statement reverberated in the air. "No. Just no. Ume is too young." He said it as if his son hadn't just gotten out of a relationship.

Koenma raised an eyebrow at him in a rather amused manner. "I can briefly recall you brazenly claiming that you wouldn't be the overprotective dad when it comes to your daughter, Kurama. Whatever happened to that, hmm?"

Kurama drew his lips tight as the mocking barb struck a nerve in his forehead.

"That aside, Koenma-sama," Botan shrewdly interrupted before her husband could supply a smart retaliation, ignoring his childish scowl as she successfully garnered back Koenma's attention and he rerouted his gaze towards her. The deity was tracing the curvaceous shape of her cup's handle as she cautiously asked, "mind if I ask what the news you wanted to apprise us is about? The curiosity is killing me."

"Ah- right. I almost forgot about that." He paused for a fleeting second to mull over the right choice of words, before ultimately deciding to go out on a limb instead. "Well, I dethroned my father." His blunt, almost matter-of-factly manner of speaking bubbled out of him in such a natural and detached set of letters that everyone had to blink twice to actually register the abrupt bits of information.

It felt like an interminable silence had fluttered by them before the shock eventually entered Botan's system. Her mouth fell open and clamped shut like a fish as she stumbled over her words, too taken aback by surprise to actually form a coherent sentence. Kurama, who had considerably recuperated his presence of mind a lot faster than his wife did, attempted to verbalize her questions in her stead.

"How did that manage to occur?"

"I found out he was brainwashing demons and letting them loose to cause havoc in Ningenkai so that he could reinforce his position as a protector against demons a lot more," he carefully answered, his voice controlled, though a hint of disappointment was quiescent beneath. "A lot of falsified documents were involved too. Which is why I decided to take over instead - to get rid of the injustice against demons and to finally make things fair between the three realms. It's the least I could do."

The air suddenly grew tense as his elucidation echoed through the walls. Everything was hushed for a couple of pain-staking moments before Botan eventually broke off the silence. "Then...about my position as ferry girl...and the ban on relationships between different kinds…"

"They are retracted," Koenma affirmed in a genuinely joyous tune as the solemn expression on his features dispersed to give way to a warm smile. "But I won't force anything on you. Whether you choose to reinstate your work as a ferry girl or whether you opt to stay and continue your duty here at this clinic, it's entirely up to you."

The deity conferred him a few blinks as she pursed her lips in thought. It was a good minute before she finally made her decision, a rueful, but gleeful grin spreading on her lips. "Perhaps one day, Koenma-sama. Admittedly, I do miss my job as a grim reaper. I miss flying on my oar," she droned, her timbre attentive as if she was afraid of saying the wrong thing before she slowly drawled out the words, "but I really am enjoying my life right here in Ningenkai. And the reason I even founded this clinic to begin with is to cater to supernatural beings like us. Demons, reigens, it doesn't matter. I love what I do here. It wouldn't be fair to them if I were to abandon this clinic just like that. So many of my patients see this as their safe haven."

The Reikai prince offered her a reassuring and understanding smile as if to alleviate her concerns that she might "I see. If that's what you want, then I won't object." He permitted himself a fraction of a second of respite before going on, "Just know that the position remains open for you for an indefinite duration of time. You can come back whenever you want. And when and if you do, we would discuss the shifts of your schedule firsthand so that you would be able to spend some time with your family as well."

"Well, considering the whole prohibition on my union with Kurama is revoked," Botan let out a girlish giggle, "I wouldn't mind if you, Ayame, Hinageshi and George are willing to come by. I would reckon that the bargain of seeing each other once a year is also repudiated."

"Of course," Koenma snorted at her. "Why you'd be foolish enough to assume we wouldn't bombard you with countless visits is beyond me. Expect my habit of suddenly appearing behind you to invade your personal lives soon."

"As long as you don't end up stalking behind me in the shower, then we're good," Tsubaki crudely responded before Kurama gave him a sharp elbow-jerk at his ribcage. The abrupt assault succeeded to silence his snarky remarks.

"Not like you have anything I don't already have, brat," Koenma spat at him in return.

Tsubaki rolled his eyes at him in barely contained sarcasm as he mumbled a tauntingly ironic riposte under his breath, "Says the guy who has an actual toddler form."

Koenma parted his lips to sound out a snappy reply before Botan quickly leaned in to clamp her hand over his mouth in a graceful, effortless effort to muffle the savage curses no doubt leaving his lips.

Although, in his angry tirade, the prince of Reikai had accidentally maneuvered his leg in the form of a sharp kick directed at the coffee table between them. Koenma's barely audible vicious insults died down in his throat, Botan steadily removing her hand from his face as the cup of tea in front of Shura was knocked down from the force, the warm contents immediately spilling on his pants.

If the day hadn't taken a turn for the worse, it surely was going to be a hellish turn of events from now.

"Shura…" Yomi started, his voice a firm warning edge as he eyed his son's visage contorting into the way it would whenever he was about to go on a childish, wrathful tantrum.

...Unexpectedly enough, however, the situation was instantly rectified.

"Please calm down," Ume calmly told him, causing Shura to shoot daggers at her direction. But the glower swiftly faltered from his face, replaced with a cute blush as Ume leaned in over the table to study the stain tainting his white pants. Her hand outstretched to touch his knee, the contact serving as a propellant to his embarrassment as the rose-colored flush on his cheeks intensified into a bright scarlet.

Kurama scrutinized the events transpiring before his eyes, suppressing the urge to summon his Rose Whip as Shura seemed to scan his daughter's features. The slight purse of his lips was a sign that he appeared to like what he was seeing, the token of his adoration coupled with the averting of his gaze to the left as Ume eventually peered up at him. From across him, Kurama could sense the subtle spike of Yomi's demon energy, as if he was prepared to attack in case the fox were to endanger his son.

"I think my father has a spare pair of jeans somewhere around here," Ume thoughtfully murmured to herself than to Shura before whirling her head around to proffer Kurama a curious stare. "Right, father? Mother mentioned you left your pants here once."

Kurama didn't think it would be wise to disclose the tiny, inappropriate detail that his wife and him had been having their own sexual rendezvous at her workplace, nor was he capable of comprehending what sort of subject could have driven Botan to give out the information in the first place. But it was true regardless, that he had forgotten his pants somewhere in her clinic - mostly because he was changing his clothes to...a more proper attire. He also didn't think it was necessary to mention that his wife had a kink for uniforms either.

"Yes…" he droned, cautious and tight. "I suppose so. Though I can't say I remember where I put them."

Ume nodded once, seemingly oblivious to the murderous glint in her father's emeralds as she darted her eyes back to Shura. "Wait here. I'll go find some spare clothes for you - and I'll prepare the mixture to get rid of the stain as well. It wouldn't be good to let it stay on your pants for too long. It's more prominent on white after all."

Shura, too, was seemingly oblivious to the murderous glint in Kurama's emeralds as he was more preoccupied with admiring Ume's well-proportioned features. "Huh? Oh, uh, right, of course. Thanks."

He then proceeded to fix a steadfast stare on her form as Ume stood up from the sofa and ambled her way towards the staff's room. Shura's gaze lingered on the alluring wave of her long, red strands as they shimmered in his view before the girl eventually disappeared from his sight, shutting the door closed behind her.

"She's...cute," the involuntary hushed whisper rippled out of him before Shura could stop himself.

Botan stopped Kurama just in time for him to brandish his whip.

saillovelypines- Lmao, the fact that you tried reading this in the car makes me honored and worried for you at the same time. Welp. Here's Yomi. Don't know if I did this chapter any justice though.

Tashio- Lol, if Ume was the one who got cheated on, imagine Kurama's reaction. He'd totally flip and go on his berserk mode of course. I was so tempted to have Ayumi being rendered into a crying mess under Kurama's harsh verbal assault, but that's a story for another chapter. XD You'd betcha that he holds grudges for a very long time lol. He'll do anything it takes to make his family's tormentors suffer, that's for sure.

I was thinking of a proper job for her until you mentioned Botan having a clinic that caters to supernatural patients in particular lol. And I also used other things you mentioned in your review, including the part where Koenma overthrew his father and Kurama's stolen goods lmao. It's semi-au though, considering that this chapter took place a few years later than the one in the manga. A little deviation here and there, but I still went and used it anyway lmao. Thanks for the wise input!

kyoandyuya- I can imagine a vast majority of siblings argue with each other lol. Hope you enjoyed the inclusion of Yomi in this installment of the compilation.

Lol, you reminded me that Genkai used to be called Jeremiah. Poor Kurama gets mistaken as a girl by even a whole Philippines studio. The man has it rough, though his delicate features are to blame XD. It still cracks me up. I looked it up, and apparently the dubbers thought he was a legit woman and named him Denise before they realized he was a guy and changed it to Dennis. They also made it sound like he was disguising himself as a girl at first. Lol. Something I read on wikipedia though, could be wrong.
