Kiza was beaming, heart racing, wings buzzing in excitement.
"Da," she said, voice nearly a song in her throat, "Da, you promise?!"
Her father shook his head, his face split into an uncharacteristically wide smile. It was strange for Kiza to see- but it was becoming more common. And if he was saying what he said…
"We're getting Caine back, Kiza."
Tears touched her cheeks, as she tackled her father.
But she didn't care. And when she could sustain her excitement enough, she turned to Jupiter.
"You're giving me back my brother," she told the little girl, tears still flowing.
Jupiter was crying too.
"I wished you would have told me sooner. Is there anyone else? Any money owed, anything?"
Kiza laughed, and brought the little girl to her chest, kissed every part of her face she could reach.
"No. That should be it!"
