A/N: Drabble for Murder of Crows.

"Baby, I'm home," Kensi called a little more loudly than she normally would. She was ever so slightly tipsy after her night out with Fatima. It was after 1 in the morning and usually she'd be tucked in bed with Deeks, grateful for the chance to sleep, but tonight she had other plans. "I'm in desperate need of a pair of strong arms to hold me."

She didn't get any response as she meandered through the kitchen and dropped her keys on the table. There was a single light on in the living room and she sighed as she came closer and found Deeks sprawled out across the couch. It looked like he'd fallen asleep while waiting for her.

Kensi sighed regretfully and dropped down beside him, gently brushing his hair off his forehead. She hated to wake him, but she knew from past experience he'd have a killer back ache in the morning. Eventually she woke him up just enough to stumble to their bedroom and on top of the covers.

Kensi watched him sleep, suddenly feeling completely sober. She'd enjoyed spending time with Fatima, but now she kind of wished she'd joined Deeks at the bar instead. Sighing again, Kensi changed into a t-shirt and shorts and curled up next to Deeks.

"Do you feel like we're drifting apart?" Kensi asked the next morning as they drove into work. Deeks snorted, dismissing the idea.

"What? No, of course not." When Kensi didn't say anything else, he glanced at her, frowning. "Wait, do you think we're drifting apart?" Kensi sighed deeply, glancing out her window for a moment.

"No. Maybe." She looked at him again and admitted, "It seems like we never spend any time together anymore. When we're at work, I keep getting paired with Fatima-which I love, but she's not you-and then you're always at the bar…" She trailed off, shaking her head.

"I know it takes up a lot of my time, but you know that you are always my first priority," he said quietly, seriously. Kensi smiled sadly and grabbed his hand.

"I know. And I'm not blaming you for anything, I just miss…us. I miss when we spent more time together, just the two of us, and weren't always too tired to fool around after work or drive down to the beach for long walks."

"We can still do all those things, Kensi," Deeks assured her. And maybe himself too. "We just have to make the time."

"Yeah, I guess." As they drove, fingers still linked, she couldn't quite shake the melancholy from the night before.
