This will technically be a three part chapter, for reasons you will see as you read them. For those waiting for action, it will come soon.

Potter Manor, September 6th.

Hermione, Harry, Luna and Neville were in the large drawing room of Potter Manor, going over their plans.

Of the one hundred and four students who had followed them from the train, ninety-four had chosen to stay, while the ones who chose to leave had their memories modified before leaving.

The students who remained were assigned a number of spells to master, many of them were Dark curses. Of those, many familiar faces had joined Hermione including Parvati and Padma Patil, Katie Bell, Seamus Finniagan, Blaise Zabini, Theo Nott and Terry Boots.

By unanimous decision, they had decided to call themselves Grims, after the supposed death omen.

At the moment, Hermione was waiting for Draco to arrive. Hermione felt a sense of satisfaction at how Draco had completely fooled Voldemort and was even now her official spy at both Hogwarts and in Voldemort's operations. As she was contemplating her plans, Harry, seated at her left, as had become his habit, leaned over and whispered "Remind me to thank Draco for recruiting Zabini and Nott. Those two are very knowledgeable about old curses. Once Draco arrives, I want to suggest we include one of them into these meetings as our defense coordinator. "

Hermione looked at her friend, nodding. Through most of their years in Hogwarts, Harry had been more or less the leader of their group, but he had allowed Hermione to take the lead. At that moment, the door creaked open and Draco, dressed in a black suit, stepped into the room and took his seat on Hermione's right.

"My apologies. Dumbledore held me up, asking more questions about the attack on the train. " he said, by way of explanation.

"No matter Draco. You're here now. " said Hermione. "Would you like to deliver your report first or listen to our other reports?"

"I think I will listen first. I've heard some things, and this may fill in some gaps."

Hermione nodded, then turned to Luna, "You deliver your report first then Luna. "

"Yes my Lady. " said Luna.

"Our current number stands at ninety-nine, many of which have already received training from Harry in the DA, of course we need more but I have a suggestion that may help us. " Luna gave Hermione a smile that the old Luna would have never used.

"Go ahead. " said Hermione.

"According to our surveillance, Dumbledore has more than three hundred experienced witches and wizards in the Order. I'm guessing Voldemort's forces, " Luna nodded at Draco, "Are probably twice that. So, what if we make up for our lack of numbers with brute strength. We use a page out of Voldemort's book and use Dark creatures. "

Harry grinned as Luna finished her proposal, Neville sat up a little straighter and Draco actually chuckled. All turned to Hermione.

For several minutes, she said nothing, thinking it over. In wizarding history, war was not as common as with muggles, consisting of guerilla tactics, strike and retreat assaults. Hermione wanted to make a statement in a bold move.

"I think, " Hermione began, "That might be a good idea. We likely won't get more Grims until we have openly begun our campaign. I suppose you have some creatures in mind?"

Luna nodded and looked at Neville, who pulled out a sheet of parchment, handing it to Luna.

"Indeed I do. For starters, have a look at this... " Luna handed the parchment over to Hermione, who read it, once, twice. Then looked up at Luna. Harry, who had seen the depiction chuckled and said, "Ron would likely have a heart attack."

Hermione reread the parchment.

African Wizards train Acromantulas for hunting purposes

Below the heading, was a drawing of an enormous spider with a wizard riding it. Hermione looked up at the others.

"Can you ensure that they wouldn't kill us too?" said Hermione.

"Absolutely. The same charm used to for post owls. But I think we need at least two people for something as large as acromantula. Second, might I also suggest Erumpants? They are nearly indestructible. "

Hermione looked down at the drawing again.

"Experiment with it first. We'll revist the Erumpants. As for lack of numbers, that's where Harry will come in. Harry?"

Harry looked at the four others.

"Much like Draco is our eyes and ears in Hogwarts, I will be our eyes and ears at Durmstrang. Using certain glamour spells, I'll disguise myself and try to convince others to join our cause."

For a moment, no one spoke, then Neville said, "If it's not a problem, I think I should join you Harry. Malfoy has some of our people with him. You will be on your own. "

Harry looked over at Hermione and Draco.

"He makes a valid point. Two would be better than one, and until my Grims are better trained, I'm not going to put them in a potential situation. " said Hermione.

"Then it's decided. I leave for Durmstrang in the morning Neville. " said Harry, eager for the adventure to begin.
