Warehouse - Middle of Nowhere

"Are you happy with yourself now?" Brax quietly hisses, having eyes on Kyle through a small gap in a blacked out window.

"I never wanted this to happen." Heath mutters.

They could just about see that Kyle was alive, although gagged and bound. He was also covered in cuts and bruises, they could tell he had been beaten a couple times. He was clearly scared by them, and Brax couldn't blame him. He had two guys standing behind him and more standing around. He had no idea how they were going to get him out safely, not when they were heavily outnumbered and unarmed. Heath knew this wasn't good for him, Brax wasn't going to let him get away with this after they made a promise to their family to stay on the right path.

"I'm sorry." Heath says.

"You will be by the time I've finished with you." Brax glares. "We'll get Kyle out then you're on your own."

"Brax, come on." Heath sighs. "I know I've messed up, let me make it right once we've got him out."

"I'm not interested, now get in there and pray that they don't hurt Kyle anymore, or I'll hurt you." Brax warns, shoving him towards the door, both of them walking inside.

"I was wondering how long it would take for you to arrive. You've got company I see." Gray smirks, walking further forward towards them.

"Hand him over and this can all end now." Heath says, briefly glancing at Kyle, who was looking at Brax.

"You can have your baby bro back when I get my stuff."

"I told you before I'm not into that stuff. I'm not doing that anymore." Heath says.

"I'd think about that very carefully or you can say your goodbyes now."

"Please, just hand him over and I can find you a supplier. They could get you anything you wanted whenever you needed it." Heath says, sensing Brax was about to unleash hell if they didn't get Kyle back soon. "But I'm not doing that until you hand him over without another scratch on him."

"No can do. Get them out of here." Gray orders his men, some of them walking forward.

"If you don't hand him over right now, things are going to turn ugly." Brax warns as he walks forward. "If you want someone as leverage, you take me, not him." He firmly says.

"I see you must be the eldest one, the one that always ends up getting his brothers out of trouble." He says, smirking over at Heath.

"You said it was fine for me to back out, you didn't need to take my brother!" Heath shouts, startling as the door barges open, River Boys darting in with bats.

"What's all this boys?" Gray asks, now realising they were outnumbered by them.

"I told you things would turn ugly if you didn't hand my brother over. If you don't bring here right now, it won't be us burying someone, it will be you. And I'd really like to see how you run your business with just yourself, and don't think for a second you won't be unharmed either." Brax says.

"Fine." Gray mutters, turning to one of his men to bring him over.

Brax watched on as Kyle was untied and forced to his feet. He could see how exhausted he was and was glad no force was needed to get his brother back to them. Heath didn't know the River Boys were going to turn up, he didn't even know Brax had called them, so was relieved to see that it had worked. Kyle was shoved over to them, Brax catching him before he fell in exhaustion.

"Don't ever touch one of my brothers again." Brax warns before helping Kyle out to the car. "Are you okay?" He asks, getting a nod in reply.

"Thank you." Kyle says, grateful he was saved before things got even worse with those guys. "What if they don't listen to you and come back?"

"They're not going to." Brax says before thanking the River Boys for turning up. "Things could have gone messy if you weren't there."

"What're you even doing making deals with that guy?" Dean asks.

"I wasn't making deals with them." Brax says, glaring in Heath's direction. "Find your own way home, I'm getting Kyle to the hospital."

"Brax-" Heath stops, Brax getting Kyle into the ute before driving off.

"What was that about?" Colby asks.

"I got on the bad side of Gray, that's why he took Kyle." Heath sighs. "Can I get a ride?"

"Sure, we were heading into Reefton if you wanted to come?" Dean says.

"Sure, I've got nothing better to do." Heath says, not knowing how he was going to make it up to his brothers for lying to them.

Northern Districts Hospital

"I'd be happy for you to go home today but you must rest and get plenty of fluids into you to help with the dehydration." Nate says.

"I will." Kyle nods, not having any serious injuries apart from cuts and bruises that would heal up well. "Thanks." He says as he starts yawning.

"I'll let you get home before you fall asleep okay?" Nate smiles at Brax.

"Come on, Casey needs to see you before he explodes." Brax smiles, helping Kyle up from the bed. "Thanks Nate." He says, him and Kyle walking to the lift.

"How did you know where to find me?" Kyle asks as they get into the lift.

"Got it out of Heath earlier, then we went around all their hangouts until we found you." Brax says.

"Did you know he was doing that kind of work again?" Kyle asks, getting out of the lift to walk to the ute.

"No, I really didn't." Brax scoffs, not even knowing how he didn't see it happening. "He's been secretive, I just thought it was over the affair with Trina. Something didn't feel right this morning when Casey said you didn't come home and then Ricky asked me if I was doing that work, it got me thinking. I'm just glad it got resolved quickly and it's never going to happen again, not on my watch." He says, getting into the car.

"I heard them talking about moving me to some place near Tasmania or some other country before using me to transfer drugs or something. They weren't expecting you to show up for me." Kyle says, gazing out of the window after having a brief thought in the warehouse about not getting out alive.

"You don't have to think about that place anymore, it's never going to happen again." Brax says. "Heath's not coming home, not after putting your life at risk."

"Where's he going to go?" Kyle asks.

"Don't care. He had his chance and he blew it. He knew things had to change around here and he went behind my back doing deals with the worst kind." Brax says.

"Okay." Kyle nods.

"You don't mind?" Brax asks, not able to work it out.

"They took me because he wouldn't give them what they wanted. He hated me because of those fights we've been having. What would have happened if you didn't ask him if he was doing deals again? He wouldn't have come looking for me and they weren't planning on telling anyone where I was." Kyle says, glad they were nearly home.

"It wouldn't have got that far, we would have found you." Brax says, not knowing if they would have but he wanted to keep his brother in a good mood. "Emily has been worried. Ricky text when Nate was checking you over and apparently she's been going out of her mind."

"I got a second date with her. We're going up on the headland because she hasn't seen it at night from up there before." Kyle smiles as they turn into their street.

"Told you it would go well." Brax smiles, seeing Casey walking down the drive before he parks up, both of them getting out.

"Where the hell have you been?" Casey asks, not having expected to see him in such a state. "Who did this?"

"It's been sorted, you don't need to worry." Brax lightly smirks, walking over to Ricky.

"Heath's been dealing for bad people and they retaliated when he stopped by taking me." Kyle says.

"What?" Ricky gasps, making sure he was okay before dragging Brax into the flat to find out more.

"Are you going to be okay?" Casey asks as they walk into the house.

"Yeah. Nate said I need to drink a lot because of dehydration but nothing serious." Kyle says.

"Emily wanted you to call her as soon as you could, she's been really worried about you when she heard you didn't come home." Casey says. "She said you two have a second date once you're better." He smirks.

"Yep, we talked about it last night." Kyle smiles. "It's just seeing when we both have the same night off to do it."

"Well I think you're going to have plenty after this. You know Brax is going to refuse to let you walk anywhere by yourself after this, let alone at night." Casey says, hoping it wouldn't happen to him as well, but he would understand if it did.

"Yeah, I know." Kyle says, yawning again. "Anyway, I'm going to bed because I didn't get any sleep last night. Oh and I better call Emily before she goes out of her mind any more than she probably has been."

"Okay, see you later." Casey says as Kyle walks to his room.
