I am not JK Rowling, you know that by now.

Albus Dumbledore paced in his study, a habit, he thought ruefully, that he was doing far too often these days. It had been a month since the massacre on the Hogwarts Express, and the Neither the Aurors nor the Order had managed to find anything on the attack. And Harry Potter was still missing. Dumbledore was fairly confident that the boy was alive; if Voldemort had killed Harry, the news would have been made public, if only to strike a serious blow to those who fought for the light.

Dumbledore's pacing was interrupted when there was a knock on the door.

"Enter" said Dumbledore.

The door opened and Alastor Moody, Remus Lupin, Hestia Jones and Kingsley Shacklebolt entered the study.

"Searched everywhere Albus, no sign of the boy, or Voldemort either. " Moody growled.

Lupin came up to the desk and sat down.

"We've got to find him Albus, and those other students. Sirius is going crazy waiting for news. He's been threatening to look for Harry himself."

Dumbledore stood to the side of his desk, looking out the window. Something didn't add up with the attack on the train. Voldemort was cunning, operating in the shadows unless directly confronted. Whereas the attack had been direct, brutal and open. Not for the first time did Dumbledore wonder if some other terror group had been responsable.

He turned to face the two, three if you counted Moody, Aurors.

"Have the Aurors picked up any word on a new group?" said Dumbledore, though he thought he already knew the answer.

"I'm afraid not Albus. I have a dedicated squad searching for possible new threats, but nothing to suggest this. " said Kingsley.

Another light knocking sounded, and Severus Snape entered.

"A word if I might Dumbledore?"

"No, Severus. It's time, as the muggles say, to put all our cards on the table. Gentlemen, Miss Jones, Severus has been operating as a spy for the Order in Voldemort's movements. To Voldemort, he appears a faithful servant, purposefully feeding him bad Intel while appearing to give solid information. But his true loyalty lies with us. Severus, what have you heard?" said Dumbledore, directing his question at Snape.

Appearing rather disgruntled that Dumbledore had outed his double agent status, he said "The Dark Lord maintains he had nothing to do with the attack. He at first believed that you were somehow responsable; he knows of your efforts with the Muggleborns. Then he believed that some of the Death Eaters had gone rogue. He tortured Avery and Rowle for a long time, since both have shown a tendency for acting on their own. He is now convinced it was someone else. Someone who would gain more if the Death Eaters and the Order were busy fighting each other. "

Dumbledore nodded, for once, he and Voldemort were on the same page.

"Remus, Kingsley, recruit more people to the order. Use what's left of the seventh years, Aurors, anyone you can think of. " said Dumbledore, "And tell Sirius to start looking, but he must remain in his Animagus form. "

Dumbledore looked out the window, trying to ignore the cold feeling in his gut. Over a hundred students had gone missing with Harry, Miss Granger and the Malfoy heir. True, Malfoy had returned and been thouroghly questioned. So had a little over a dozen students who had shown up, but none remembered what happened. To those who remained in his office, Dumbledore appeared calm and pensieve, clearly thinking about what to do next. Inside, he was screaming in frustration. Harry, where are you?Siberian tundra, undisclosed locationThe castle of Durmstrang was a huge sprawling affair, but short and long in its layout. It consisted of five floors, but had an enormous opposing wall, 150 feet high, that encompassed the main edifice of the school. It contained a grand total of seventeen turrets and tower, the tallest of which was 400 feet high and observed the massive grounds, several times larger than those of Hogwarts. The tower housed the dormitories and common rooms for Durmstrang's four houses: Volkovio, Korolevskiy, Knigav and Skuchnyy.

Volkovion students were similar to Slytherin, basing it's students strongly on blood purity and cunning. Korolevskiy was more scholarly, like Ravenclaw and were highly academic.

Knigav students were the artistic hard workers, essentially like Hufflepuff, and Skuchnyy was the only house that allowed half-bloods.

Harry and Neville had arrived three weeks ago, disguised as 11 and 12 year old brothers from a prominent wizarding family in Russia. Although a week of term had already started, the boys were inducted into the school. Harry had concocted a story that he and Neville had been caring for their sick mother, but after her passing, their father had insisted on their education.

The Sorting Ceremony of Durmstrang was for the students to submit to a blood purity test, and engage in a duel.

Due to Hermione's foresight, Harry had been given a potion that contained a drop of blood from Draco Malfoy, (Draco's family had a distant cousin in Russia) so the inconsistency would be overlooked. Neville was already a pureblood, but he had taken the potion as well, so that his blood and Harry's would match.

They had passed the blood purity, and then been made to duel a randomly chosen fifth year student from each house. Harry had had to fight harder than ever, but due to his newfound liking of the Dark Arts, successfully turned two of the four into a flobberworm. The other two had used wandless magic to revert back to human and stunned Harry. Neville had also defeated two, though surprisingly, a Volkovion had been one of them; Neville had slipped his guard and cast a non-verbal blood burning curse.

Harry and Neville had been sorted into Volkovio for Neville, and Korolevskiy for Harry.

Using the Invisiblity Cloak, Harry snuck out and to a room he and Neville used to meet.

"It's gonna take us a little longer to convince people than I thought Neville." said Harry. He stretched his arms behind his back. The glamour spells made him and Neville appear as short, 11 and 12 year old boys with dark hair and blue eyes, and though they actually maintained their full size, it made their backs cramp up.

"I don't know Harry. The Volkovion students are sharp, all about blood purity, but not all of them are actually prejudiced against muggles or Muggleborns. If I can convince them to join us, I think the rest of the students will get in line. How are things going with Korolevskiy?"

"A bunch of Hermiones. They actually sleep with a book under their pillow. But they appear to have a neutral stance about Voldemort. Give it another month, unless Volkovio makes the right step. If not, we use plan B. "

Neville nodded before casting a disillusionment charm.

"See you later Igor. " he said.

"Yeah. Keep your head down Arkady." said Harry, ducking under his Cloak.

A/NHarry's alias is not based on Karkaroff. It's a play on Daniel Radcliffe as both Harry Potter and Igor from Frankenstein. Second, Iam going to try to make the chapters longer, and next chapter, part three, Voldemort's strategy, is going to be more dark. What do you expect from the Dark Lord?
