Hello everyone. Enjoy the chapter!
Rhiannon was now in the process of driving Harry home to his relatives. Harry and Daphne rode in the backseat, and together, they were doing a bit of browsing through Harry's copy of A History of Magic.
Harry found himself very interested and invested in this book and was highly eager to check out the rest of his textbooks. It was understood too, of course, having grown up in the Muggle world, not even believing in magic until that great reveal at the island cabin that night.
Daphne couldn't help but notice that Harry seemed most interested at the moment in looking up the names of historic magical people and creatures.
"You seem to be quite interested in name-finding in this book," she said in acknowledgment. "What's the occasion?"
"I'm trying to decide what to name my new pet owl," Harry replied. He then looked up at her and smiled. "You're welcome to help if you'd like."
"Oh, that's right! You just got an owl. That was a birthday gift from Hagrid, right?" Daphne asked.
"Yep," Harry said.
"I'd be honored to help you name... is it a boy or girl?"
"The shopkeeper said it's female," Harry told her.
And so Daphne began helping pick out a name for Harry's new owl. After discussing it for a little while, they had decided on the name Hedwig. In truth, Daphne did actually feel a bit proud that Harry had allowed her to help him name the owl.
Finally, Rhiannon was driving up to a certain house.
"Harry? Number Four, Privet Drive. This is it, right?" she asked him.
"Yes, this is it," Harry replied, unable to suppress the sinking feeling in his stomach as he remembered that he was now about to be with the Dursleys again for another month.
A few minutes after dropping Harry off and was on her way back home, Rhiannon thought back to how the Dursleys responded to Harry being brought back. These people clearly didn't seem as the most friendly type, and this beefy man whom Harry had said was his uncle seemed in a hurry to get him inside the house. Furthermore, that fat kid's reaction to seeing Harry was just plain odd. He had screamed in terror and rushed inside the moment he saw Harry.
As of now, Rhiannon wasn't sure what to make of these people. However, she couldn't stop the ringing of the alarm bells that were in her head.
