Glinda wakes up worried. She had a weird night where she woke up several times. Every time she dreamed about how she broke up with Elphie. The next scene was Glinda doing everything she could to make it right, but Elphaba didn't want anything to do with her anymore. After the fifth time she looked out the window and saw that it was already morning. Tired and with a headache, she gets out of bed and gets ready for breakfast. When she walks into the breakfast room she sees that Oscar doesn't look much better than herself.
Oscar gives her a small smile. ''Didn't sleep either?''
Glinda shakes her head. ''Every time I slept, I had the same nightmare.''
Oscar nods. ''I understand. Although we will not have the same dream, but I kept dreaming that we were late. I walked up to her a couple of times to make sure she's still alive. It felt so real.'' Oscar brings tears to his eyes.
Glinda takes his hand and squeezes it. ''I get it. But after a good breakfast I feel better and I will heal her.''
''Do you mind if I'm there?''
Glinda really wanted to act alone so that she had no distractions, but when she looks at Oscar she only sees a worried father. ''Sure, nothing will happen right away, but I can use all the support I can get.''
Oscat nods gratefully. Madame Morrible came into the breakfast room and later Chistery joined us. Glinda noticed that Chistery didn't say much and when he said something it was difficult. But she decides not to say anything about it.
During breakfast they discuss the day. They decide to write a letter to Dr. Dillamond to make him a temporary headmaster until a replacement comes. Glinda is happy that they are using her idea. She is sure that Doctor Dillamond is up to the task.
After breakfast Oscar accompanies Glinda to the doctor's office. They have to wait a while because the nurses are busy taking care of Elphaba. In the meantime, the doctor informs them of Elphaba's first night. ''There have been no further complications. She once muttered something about Glinda to the nurse. But otherwise she slept.''
Glinda blushes and is curious why her love calls her name. But quickly shake off the feeling.
After ten minutes they entered the room.
''Are you ready for it? I mean as long as she sleeps she has no pain and the doctors give her something for the pain. You also have to think about yourself.'' Oscar said, putting his hand on Glinda's shoulder.
Glinda nods. I`m ready for this. Let's make her better.''
''The physical pain is the last thing I worry about now,'' Glinda mumbles as she walks to Elphie's bed. Oscar has heard and wonders what Glinda means by it. But he decides to let Glinda do her job before distracting her with questions.
Glinda picks up her notebook where she wrote the spell after using it for the first time. She takes a few deep breaths and starts casting the spell. Oscar sees Glinda's hands light up and then Elphaba. Glinda feels that her powers are diminishing rapidly. This time Elphie is more injured than last time. But Glinda is determined to make Elphie better. She moves her hand across Elphie's body.
Oscar sees Glina start to shake and wonders if that's the intention. The light first gets weaker and then it gets back. He sees Glinda start to pant and is worried about her. Before he can say anything, Glinda falls to the ground. Oscar rushes to her and calls for help. A concerned nurse and doctor soon enter the room. ''What happened?''
''Glinda tried to heal Elphaba with a spell and then she fell to the ground. I think she used too many powers.''
The doctor nods and checks Glinda's eyes. Then he checks that she has no broken bones. Then he feels her forehead and grunts a little.
''She feels warm. I want to keep her here for the day and maybe the evening.''
''She feels warm?'' Oscar asks concerned. ''Does she get sick? Is it bad?''
''I don't know,'' says the doctor truthfully. ''But she has been through a lot yesterday. I assume she slept badly last night. She came here to heal Elphie and it takes strength too. It could be a warning from her body that she's done too much.''
Oscar nods. He hopes it isn't too bad for Glinda. The doctor looks questioningly at the nurse who is examining Elphaba. ''Most wounds have healed, but not all. I can't check her arm and ankle because of the cast.''
The doctor first sends Oscar away to get a bed that is in the other room. He knows to make Oscar do something for distraction. Currently, the Wizard was a nervous overprotective man who could explode with grief or rage at any moment.
After making sure Glinda is well in bed, the doctor orders Oscar to occasionally replace the wet cloth on Glinda's forehead. Oscar himself comes up with the idea to write Glinda's parents. After half an hour he comes back into the room with all his work material. He is determined not to lose sight of the girls for a second.
Meanwhile, the doctor and nurse are busy removing the cast. They gently touch Elphie's arm and ankle.
''Wizard, I have to admit Miss Glinda did an excellent job. Miss Elphaba has only broken her ankle in one place. Most of the wounds on her back have healed except for the deep wounds. But it's not nearly that bad. We actually wanted Miss Elphaba to sleep this day. Before you came we gave her another sleeping pill. When this has worn off, she will wake up one her own.''
Oscar nods. ''So everything will be fine with both of them?''
The doctor bites his lip. ''Maybe you should walk over to my office.''
The doctor left the room and the nurse looks at Glinda again. Worried, Oscar follows the doctor. The doctor offers Oscar a cup of coffee.
''Listen, physically Elphaba is doing very well. I'm more concerned about her mental condition. I heard from Miss Glinda that this is not the first time she has been abused. I've gone through her file that's known here. I'm not a specialist psychologist, but I imagine she will have many more nightmares. She will have little faith in herself and in the world around her.
Oscar turns pale. He hadn't thought of all those things yet. His first priority is for her to wake up. But the fears that come with it are of course much worse. Now he understood Glinda's comment.
Glinda has of course experienced Elphaba's mental problems, Oscar thought gloomily.
''What can I do for her?''
''I do know a good psychologist who can take care of her. Her name is Leanne Upland.''
Oscar's face brightened immediately. ''That lastname seems familiar to me. Maybe it's related to Glinda Upland. That would only be nice. Glinda said she and her mother have already worked with Elphaba a lot.''
The doctor is also looking a lot better. ''That would be very nice. With your permission, I would like to send an urgent request to get her here as soon as possible.''
''You have that permission. I don't know how I can ever thank you, Doctor.''
''You're welcome.'' Says the doctor with a nod
''How's Glinda?''
''She has only had the flu symptoms so far. We gave her a sleep pill so she is forced to rest. This pill is not as strong as the one Elphaba received.''
Oscar nods. ''Thanks again.''
''You don't have to thank me. I like to help people and Animals. as long as you do your job, I'll do mine.''
Laughing, Oscar shakes hands with the doctor and walks out of his office. He stays with the girls all morning. He goes over their lips with an ice cube every now and then so that they get their needed moisture. Oscar goes through the photo album once more to get to know his daughter's life.
Towards evening he hears Elphaba mumbling in her sleep. The murmur gets louder and faster.
''Glinda, no. Nessa I'm sorry. Mommy I'll be good. Come back. Wizard Oscar. Help. Glinda don`t go. No. Father!''
Oscar watches anxiously as his daughter moves her head back and forth more and more. Then Oscar takes her hand. ''It is okay Elphaba. I'm with you. Daddy is with you and nothing is going to hurt you. You are safe. Everyone is safe and with you.''
The words seem to help. Elphaba calms down. ''Daddy? Don`t go away.''
''I'm not leaving Elphaba. I stay with you.'' Oscar has no idea if Elphaba knows he is the one how is talking, but Elphaba's face relaxes.
''Thank you Dad.'' Elphaba says with a sigh.
''You're welcome, sweetheart. I will do everything for you.'' Oscar rubs Elphaba's hand with his thumb.
Elphaba seems to be sleeping again. Oscar feels like he's in seventh heaven. He helped his daughter well and unconsciously she called him daddy. He turns and gets the shock of his life when he sees Glinda staring at him.
''OZ Glinda, how long have you been awake?''
''Long enough to know you've calmed Elphie.'' She says with a smile. ''You are a good father.''
Oscar blushes.
''Now I know where she got that blush from. Elphie looks that way too. Just like you.''
Oscar blushes even more and Glinda starts to laugh. After a few minutes she looks serious again. ''Why am I in a hospital bed?''
Oscar tells what happened and calls the nurse. She checks Glinda and gives her something to eat and something for the headache, which is a bit less according to Glinda. ''Your temperature is still too high, but you are already getting a little more color in your face.''
Glinda eats everything and then immediately falls asleep. Oscar looks on with satisfaction and is then sent away by the nurse.
'We don't want a third person lying here. So go to bed and come back tomorrow. '
Oscar told Madame Morrible that Glinda has fallen ill. Madame Morrible gave him a brief explanation of the use of magic. She explained to him that Glinda uses too much magic in a short time. Her body now needs all its energy to process all the stress and to process Miss Claudy's spell. She reassured Oscar by being casual about it herself. They talk to each other about Oz and the girls. Madame Morrible isn't as concerned about the girls as Oscar.

The next day Oscar wakes up late. He quickly packs his breakfast and runs to the doctor's office. There he sees two boys and two girls.
''Nessa is that you?'' he asks as he walks over to them.
''Oscar, how good it is to see you. We are waiting for the doctor to finish with Glinda and Elphaba.'' Nessa says relieved.
''Guys this is Oscar. Elphaba's real father. Oscar these are the friends of Elphaba. Boq, Fiyero and Milla.''
Everyone introduced themselves. They all are quite shy and honored to shake hands with the Wizard. ''We came here as soon as possible. Glinda's instructions were clear. But she didn't say much about what happened. Can you explain it to us?''
Oscar nods and leads everyone to the benches. He tells everything that happened. The girls began to cry while the boys turn their hands into fists. ''Why can't Frex leave her alone?'' Boa asks furiously.
Fiyero tries to comfort Nessa as best he can. ''I'm so sorry.'' she sobs. ''I was hoping he might change. But no. I feel so guilty.''
''Honey, Elphaba isn't going to blame you. This is Frex and Miss Claudy doning not yours and Elphaba will see it that way.''
''Yes, why does Miss claudy hate her?'' asks Milla sobbing.
''Well, Madame Morrible and I suspect it's because she's jealous. But we're not sure yet. We haven't talked to her yet. My priority is Elphaba and Glinda first.''
''Why do you think Miss Claudy was jealous? I mean they are pretty strong spells. Maybe you underestimated her?'' says Milla who knows a little bit about magic through her conversations with Glinda and Elphie.
''She's never really been talented, But in her mind she thinks she was. She has been so jealous of Elphaba that she has taken revenge. Because of her sincere anger, she was able to cast a few spells of power. Because of the negative emotions you can use a powerful spell for a short time. That is why Elphaba sometimes has outbursts of that anger. If your powers come from a positive emotion, you have much more control and you can last much longer. Therefore, Claudy could not hold Glinda in her power for long. But she has done a lot of damage to her mental health. Glinda complained a lot of headaches and was very tired. The spell to heal Elphaba was the threshold. But she was a lot better last night.''
The friends nod relieved and were unhappy with Oscar's explanation. They were exchanging stories about Shiz when the doctor comes out of the room. ''You all come for Miss Glinda and Miss Elphaba?''
They all nods. ''Good you can go to them. They had both awakened briefly during the evening during a check-up, but they were not fully conscious yet. It's a good sign. They are both asleep now but they can wake up anytime.''
Nessa immediately goes to Elphaba and takes her hand. She starts to cry. Milla does the same only with Glinda. ''You have a very close group of friends,'' Oscar says to the guys who are doubting who to go to.
The boys nod and walk between the beds to take both hands. Oscar is looking from a distance and feels proud.

They all sit together until noon, talking. Nessa shared what she had done when she received Glinda's letter. Fiyero took over when it became too much for Nessa. He was in her room with Nessa at the time.
Suddenly Elphaba begins to mumble again. She starts to move her head and her eyes open slowly. Nessa squeezes Elphaba's hand harder. ''Heey Fabala, you can wake up. Just take it easy,'' Nessa says softly.
Elphaba blinks with her eyes, she slowly becomes aware of her surroundings. ''Nessa?'' she whispers in a hoarse voice.
''Yes, it is me Fabala, wake up calmly we are all here for you and Glinda.'' Nessa says encouragingly as she runs her hand over Elphie's cheek.
''Why are you here? '' She wants to sit up straight, but her back still hurts.
Meanwhile in Oscar went to the doctor to tell him that Elphaba is awake. When he returns, he sees that Elphaba is comforting her sister.
Elphaba looks around and sees that she is in a hospital room. She slowly recalls what has happened. She sees Glinda lying next to her in another bed. ''Nessa, has Frex done something to Glinda?'' she asks in a panicked voice.
''No,'' says Oscar quickly. ''She knocked Frex unconscious with a brick with your help. She is only exhausted after such a busy day as the day before and yesterday.''
''The day before yesterday and yesterday? How long have I been asleep?''
''You slept all day yesterday.''
It took a while for Elphaba to process the information. ''What did she do yesterday?'' Elphaba asked, confused. Then the puzzle pieces fall into place. She begins to realize that she has almost no pain and that her arm is no longer broken. ''No'' she whispers as her eyes widen. She wants to get out of bed but the boys stop her.
''Let me go, I have to help her. She is magically exhausted. Is it true that she healed me?'' Elphaba asked frustrated to Oscar.
Not knowing why Elphaba is so concerned, Oscar nods.
''Claudy had her under control with a spell, then she let those bricks fly. If she also healed me when she has already had to use many magical powers, chances are she will get sick. I read and checked with Madame Morrible she said it does not occur quickly and if it prevents the person from getting seriously ill. I'm not letting Glinda get sick because of me.''
''You are not going to use magic,'' Nessa says sternly. ''Elphaba you've only been awake for ten minutes. Probably less. You're still weak. Have the doctor look at you.''
Everyone looks at the doctor who stood at the doorway. ''Miss Glinda wasn't wrong when she said you are a stubborn person.'' He said to relieve the mood.
''Listen doctor. I'm fine. I'm a little tired, but I can help Glinda.''
''Let the doctor determine that,'' Boq says carefully.
''Madame Morrible wasn't too worried about Glinda when I mentioned last night that she was sick. I don't think you should either. Take care of yourself frist.'' Says Oscar.
Elphaba immediately gives him a warning look. ''Why is everyone suddenly against me? Are you all saying that we let Glinda just lie there sick.''
''No we're not saying that, but what would Glinda say if you get sick again because you help her?'' Milla asks reasonably.
''She shouldn't have healed me at all. She should have thought of herself first.'' Elphaba answered stubbornly.
''But she did. So you're going to let the doctor to check you, like a good girl.'' Fiyero says which got him an angry look from Elphaba.
''Fabala please. I let you run around naked all over the palace if the doctor gives you permission, but now listen to us for once.''
Elphaba looked at her sister and saw a worried face with tearful eyes. She gave in with a sigh and the doctor checked her. Everyone was sent out of the room so that they had some privacy.
''Wow this day goes down in the history books that Elphaba Melena Thropp listens to someone else,'' says Boq when they are in the waiting room.
Everyone starts to laugh. ''I hope you have a big library, otherwise we will not get her on bed rest,'' Fiyer says to Oscar.
After a few teases, Milla says seriously. ''I'm glad she's awake again and being so stubborn. That means she's doing a lot better.'' They all nods.
After a few minutes, the doctor comes to the group. ''It goes well with her. Her muscles are still very stiff from all the exertion they have been given. Most wounds have already healed except for a few deep cuts on her back. She still has to take it easy for the next few days. She has to walk on crutches for a few days anyway. Her ankle has not fully healed yet.'' The doctor rubs his neck
''It was quite a fight to not get her to Miss Glinda. I made a deal with her. She is now getting a shower with the nurse. Then she is going to eat something with you. If she still has the energy to heal Glinda, she can do it. But I do not think so.'' he explained. Giving a concerned look to Nessa in the hope that he did well.
Everyone looked at each other with concern. They knew what Elphaba could be when it comes to helping her friends.
''No worries. She had just yawned during the examination. A shower doesn't sound like a tough task, but it does wear you out. If you really don't trust it, we can still put a sleeping aid in her food.'' The doctor added.
Nessa was not at all happy with the deal the doctor made with her sister. She knows that Elphaba wants to help Glinda at the expense of her own health. ''Put the sleeping aid in her food,'' she said firmly.
''Are you sure?'' Fiyero asks uncertain.
Nessa nods. ''You know Elphaba. She's going to help Glinda at her own expense. I'd like to help Glinda too, but she's not really sick yet, is she?''
The doctor shakes his head. ''It's been a mild flu so far. I just took her temperature and it has dropped slightly. My main concern is that she had so much headache and that she hasn't eaten anything today. If she's not up in an hour, we'll wake her up so she can eat again.''
Everyone was thinking. Giving someone a sleeping pill without that person being aware of it is not okay.
''Nessa is right,'' says Milla. ''Glinda goes crazy when she finds out that Elphaba is going to do something in her condition.''
''We have to protect Elphaba from herself without her realizing it,'' Boq says, putting his arm around Milla. ''If Glinda's condition gets worse, Elphaba can still help her tomorrow.''
The doctor looks at the Wizard. ''I agree. We will protect Elphaba from herself. I trust your judgment of Glinda's condition and Madame Morrible's knowledge of magic. I don't think Elphaba is now able to make good judgments after all that has happened.'' Oscar says after a moment of silence
The doctor nods and goes to get the food for his pantient. He puts the sleeping pill in it and hands the tray to Nessa.
Meanwhile, Oscar is getting lunch for the others. When everyone has settled in the room and is eating, tells the group what they had done when they received the letter from Glinda. Elphaba and Oscar are telling their side of the story. Everyone listened carefully and asked questions.
Elphaba had to admit she was very exhausted after the shower, but she wanted to help Glinda. During the meal she felt more and more tired. The group saw her fight against herself to sleep. Nobody said anything about it because they know it's a losing fight. After ten minutes, Elphaba was asleep.
Everyone ate until they were sure that Elphaba is asleep. After half an hour the doctor comes to wake up Glinda. Glinda was still not quite fit and is still complaining of a headache. But she was happy to see her friends again. She is relieved to learn that Elphaba had already been awake once. She ate her lunch hungrily as the group told their story for the third time. Because Glinda has a little more energy than Elphaba, Nessa talks about her date with Fiyero while the rest get a tour of the palace.
Oscar shares his plans to make Oz a better place during the tour. Everyone was deeply impressed by the wonderful wizard and she recognized the passion that Elphaba always shows when she wants to achieve a goal.
Soon Milla stayed with Glinda to show her present from Boq while the others take a walk through the garden. Oscar had to go all the way to his throne room to receive the people. Then he had an appointment to open the first Animal School in the Emerald City.
Madame Morrible has been content with the Wizard's new vision. She still has her power and people are treating her with more of the respect she ever got. Although she sometimes misses teaching, she loves to command people.
The nurse also thought it would be a good idea to have Glinda shower and change clothes. Then she was given an early dinner and fell asleep exhausted. The group of friends was very reassured but still concerned on the after effects of the traumatic experience for Elphaba and Glinda. Oscar was able to reassure them by saying that Leanne is coming to the palace tomorrow to take care of the mental care.

The next day, Elphaba wakes up early. She'll never admit it out loud, but she's glad they didn't try to help Glinda yesterday. She felt very tired and was still very weak. She looks at her bedside table and sees a book entitled 'The wonderful life of Elphie.'
Amazed, Elphaba looks into it. She starts to chuckle softly. ''My sweet Glinda, you made a photo album of all the fun activities. You are wonderful.'' Elphaba whispers as she looks at Glinda in love.
Elphaba silently tries to get out of bed to go to Glinda. But Glinda wakes up anyway. ''Elphie?'' she asks in surprise in a hoarse voice.
''Hey, it's just me. Drink this here.'' Elphaba grabs a glass of water while hopping to Glinda.
''I think you should be in bed,'' Glinda says playfully stern when Elphaba hands her the glass. Glinda sits up against the headboard.
''What can I say? I can hardly listen.''
Glinda chokes on her drink laughing. ''Lie in bed with me,'' Glinda says when she sees Elphie standing on one leg.
Gratefully, Elphie sits down next to Glinda. Glinda gives her glass back to Elphie who then puts it back on the bedside table.
''Glin, I want you to answer seriously.'' Elphie says after a few minutes of silence in which they both enjoyed each other's presence.
''I think this is indeed the time when we can talk without being easily disturbed by the others.''
''Are you still sick?'' Elphie asks seriously.
''No, my headaches are less and I feel less weak than yesterday. I think I can leave this bed today.''
Elphaba nods. She wants to ask a lot more things but Glinda is first.
''Now it's my turn to ask a question.''
Elphaba closes her mouth and looks at Glinda.
''Are you, I mean I know you know it was Miss Claudy. But are you. Did you believe⦠"stammers a blushing Glinda.
''Glin, ask what you want to ask. It's not like I can run fast with my ankle.''
Glinda grins and nods. But is still nervous to ask the question. ''How is your ankle?''
Elphaba is a bit disappointed that Glinda clearly asked a different question than she actually wanted, but didn't show much of it. She knows she has to give Glinda a chance to process things.
''My ankle is fine. I can't walk proply on it yet, but it hurts less.''
Glinda nods in relief.
''Thank you, by the way. I heard you've already healed me. I hope it will not become a habit.''
''You're welcome. Thank you for saying it.''
The girls paused. Both unsure of how to continue the conversation. ''By the way, how did you know what spell I was saying when I was casting that brick?'' ask Glinda when her curiosity gets too great
''I recognized Oscar's voice and I'm not sure what he said, but it felt good. Then I felt your presence. In the corner of my eye I saw something flying. I focused on your presence so much that it gave me strength. Then the words just entered my brain.''
''Magic is and remains difficult to understand,'' says Glinda with a pout.
''You got that absolutely right. That's why it's so much fun. We can discover and learn new things just like in life sciences. It never ends.'' Elphie looks enthusiastically at Glinda who looks at her confused. ''Sorry, I was a bit too enthusiastic,'' says Elphie sheepishly.
''Don`t be sorry, You were just you.''
''How did you escape from Claudy's spell?'' Elphaba hopes she doesn't push the subject for Glinda now, but she's very curious herself.
''Through the kiss.'' Glinda says, blushing after a short pause.
''I knew it would help.''
''After I was told to hit you and walk away, I felt different. I recognized your lips. It felt good but I felt terrible that I hit you. I ran away and Claudy's strength decreased. After talking to Oscar about us, I started to remember and feel things again. I walked back to the library, where it all became too much for me. I fell unconscious to the floor. When I woke up I was myself. Miss Claudy thought I was still unconscious in the library so she hadn't focused on me anymore. She was trying to convince Madame Morrible that you are a worthless witch''
''Well for the first time I'm happy that I got all the attention from her.''
Elphie, you shouldn't joke about this. It was very serious what happened.''
Elphie sighs. ''I know. I`m sorry my sweet. I was just so scared when I was told you were sick. I was afraid Frex had hurt you too. I'll do anything to protect you.''
Glinda looked into the concerned brown eyes. ''Is that the reason that you walked with Miss Claudy without too many problems?'' Sammy and the other guards had reported what had happened. Sammy had said that Elphaba did not resist and that is why they thought she was guilty of harassing Glinda
Elphie swallows and nods. ''Claudy said she was going to do the same to you. That they go after me is one thing. But I can't get it in my heart that they hurt you too.''
''Even though I ... I mean you did it. But I treated you horribly.'' Glinda said with tears streaming down her cheeks. ''Ooh Elphie I'm so sorry I said those things. I will never break up. I was under the influence. I didn't mean it.'' Glinda says sobbing.
Elphie gives a small smile. ''I know you would never do such a thing. You gave all silly reasons to break up. In addition, I missed the sparkle that I always see in your beautiful blue eyes. You don't get rid of me that easily. Not after everything we've been through.'' Elpie's lips gently touch Glinda's lips. Glinda presses her lips a little harder against Elphie's.
''It was exactly what they needed to reconnect. I love you,'' Glinda whispers. ''We'll get out of this together. You are my life.''
''Of course my sweetheart. But now you have to rest.''
Glinda shakes her head. ''I feel fine. I'm so glad you're not mad at me.''
''I will never be mad at you. Maybe annoyed, but never angry. Are you reassured?''
Glinda nods. ''I do, but you don't.''
Elphie looks confused. ''I don't need to be reassured.''
''Are you sure?'' Glinda asks with a raised eyebrow.
''Glin, I'm fine. My muscles may be a little stiff, but I'm fine.''
Glinda keeps looking at her the same way. ''So you haven't had a weird dream? Not a nightmare?''
Elphaba remains silent and doesn't look at Glinda. ''I don't want to talk about it ,''she says softly.
''Elphie we do this together. Talk about it.''
''It's my problems not yours,'' Elphie says angrily. But she immediately regrets her outburst. ''I mean. I...''
Glinda kisses Elphie softly on the lips. ''Elphie, you don't have to feel okay. You can say that too. You have told everything that happened but you haven`t said how you felt about it.''
Tears come to Elphie's eyes. ''Glin, I ...''
''Elphie. I was just afraid of your reaction about how I've behaved throughout the mess. Do you really think I'll get angry about your feelings?''
Elphie bites her lips and shakes her head. Slowly tears fall down her cheeks. ''I was so scared. So terribly afraid for you. I was afraid I couldn't save you. I was so mad at Oscar that he allowed all of this. I feel so guilty and...''
Glinda pulls Elphie closer and gently rubs her back. They are crying in bed together. ''It's okay. Elphie. Everything will be fine again. We will work it out together.'' Glinda whispers in Elphie's ear when they have calmed down.
"Together," Elphie says, kissing Glinda's neck.
A few hours later, the nurse comes to have a look and is surprised that Elphaba is in Glinda's bed. She gently wakes the girls and checks how they feel. After a small check up, the friends come in with breakfast. 'Yes, finally food, I'm hungry,'' Glinda says happily.
Elphie rolls her eyes. ''You only think about food. Aren't you happy to see the rest?''
''Of course yes, but now I'm extra happy because they have food.'' Said Glinda with a pout.
Everyone laughs at Glinda's childlike behavior and is happy that they are doing better and better.
