Today has been a long day. I have been in meeting after meeting. The douche bag cowboys parents came in. So we talked it out with the principal.
Apparently they didn't hear the whole story. So I got kicked out of the first meeting. After a few hours I got called back in for another meeting. The kids parents apologized and he was suspended for a few days by parents pushing.
So I am late to glee club right now. We also have dinner with Kates family tonight. My fiancés have been lucky enough to go home and get ready. I still have to listen to duets.
I finally see the club doors getting closer. I'm so close to reprieve! Just a little bit more Cass. Just listen to songs and then have them vote!
"Cassandra" I'm stopped by the gym teacher Teddy right before I can enter "I see you're sporting a ring on your finger now...you using it to ward off potential suitors?"
"No im engaged" I go to open the door but he keeps it closed "Move Ted"
"I just wanna make sure this man is a good man" He smirks "I mean he couldn't be stronger than me"
"No she's cuter and more cutthroat" We both turn to see a angry and pregnant Maribel "Now I believe she said MOVE!"
"You don't have to marry her because she's pregnant" Ted gives me a sincere look "You could always bat for the real team"
"Ted this is your fifth sexual harassment" Stu walks over and gets between us and Ted "My office now! You are being handled with!"
Ted shakes his head and gives me a glare "If you ever wanna not be on the bad side call me" Stu pushes Ted and he pokes Stus chest "Watch it!"
"Pack your things" Teds eyes go wide "You're fired!"
Ted scoffs and storms away. Stu gives me an apologetic smile and walks away. He has things he has to deal with now. I look over at Mari and see her holding her stomach.
"You ok?" She looks up at me and nods "What's wrong?"
"Nothing" She smiles and grabs my wrist "Feel"
I get a hand put on her stomach and feel nothing. After a few minutes I feel something hit my hand. I smile and look up at her. She has a huge smile and tears in her eyes.
"I can't wait to know what we have" We share a quick kiss and I open the doors "Now to get a duet decided"
She chuckles and follows me into the room. Everyone is talking in their own little groups. Class as normal thankfully. Just hope I have some tryouts.
"Alright sorry for the delay class" I walk to the front and look out at everyone "Who is ready for their duet try out?"
"We are" Sam stands up and looks toward Kate "I mean I think we are...maybe we aren't"
"You already volunteered" I move to sit in a seat "Come on down"
Sam walks down slowly followed by Kate. I really hope Sam is able to get over her nerves. She deserves to get her time to shine. She's never really sang before.
I really hope they can do well enough to get them the duet.

The club claps as they take a bow. Sam truly has a lovely voice. They slowly make their ways back to their seats. I look to see if anymore hands go up.
"Anyone else wanna try?" No one stands up or raises a hand "Uhh ok then! Our duet goes to Sam and Kate! I didn't really have much else planned...glee dismissed"
Soon everyone is talking and leaving the room. I stay in my seat a little hurt. No one tried to do anything. Am I that bad of a teacher?
I hear the girls talk about fighting for spots all the time. Am I really just not that good? Will my students fail in the future? Did I really choose the wrong job?
"They agreed to not go" I look up at Sugar "Little confidence boost to the two"
"You're a great teacher" I turn toward Jasmine whos smiling "Next competition is when we'll all fight for spots"
"But for now" I turn to my left and look at Pamela "We have a dinner to get ready for"
I sniffle and smile "Thank you" I stand up with a smile then look at Maribel "What did you come for?"
"Shelby said she saw a creepy dude when she was here" Mari smiles "He's gone now though so now I'm just here to be here! Why do you want me to leave?"
"We need to leave to get to Kates house" I walk over and grab her hands "But you can come back whenever you want"
She smiles and we share a quick kiss before leaving. Now it's time to get ready for a possibly awkward dinner. I can't wait to go. First I may need a change.
-Time skip-Samantha pov-
"Are you going to knock or not?" I turn and glare at Santana "We have been standing out here for a hour"
"She's nervous" Judy gives me a kind smile "Take your time"
"They want to see how our family is" I take a deep breath and turn toward the door "Act just like how you would at home"
I knock on the door finally and it opens "I've been waiting for that" Kate smiles and moves aside "Come in!"
We all get inside and I see the girls crawling. I smile at how confident they are doing that. Cass seems more hesitant but she's still with them and Emma. It's seems perfect.
Too perfect.
That's when I hear the voices. There's multiple people here right now. We got set up by them. I turn and see hard looks on the moms faces.
I start walking toward the voices and see a bunch of people. I stop as they walk closer. They all look fancy compared to us. They never really cared...we were played.
"Oh there is Samantha" Kates mom smiles at me "How are you dear? Is the family here?"
"Who are they?" She frowns when I spit my words with venom "Who. Are. They?!"
"Friends" A man smirks at me "You seem underdressed for this"
"I was told it was a family dinner" I glare at Kates mom "You told us it was a family dinner! Did you even care?! Have you even asked your daughter how her day went?! Did you know she's going to be doing a duet at sectionals?!"
Kates moms face is stays blank "She did not share this with us" She shakes her head and smiles again "Why don't we just go see that family of yours?"
I am pushed along toward where I left them. We are going to be all over the place. There's a difference being tell and being outed on things! This isn't right!
"Oh hello mother and father" My jaw drops as I look at everyone standing and waiting "I didn't know we invited friends to our FAMILY dinner"
"How" Kates mom looks super confused "Youre supposed to be crawling! You're supposed to be babbling!"
"You're supposed to be my caring parents" I see Kate putting on a jacket "I guess we all have failed expectations"
"You do not talk to us like that" Kates father grabs her wrist tightly "Take that jacket off now and see these kinked dykes out of here!"
"I'm one of them" Kate pulls her wrist away and steps toward me "So if they go...I do too!"
"I don't want a daughter that can't give me a grandchild anyways" Kates father turns to their friends "Let's go back to the big room"
Everyone walks out but Kates mom "You got a duet huh?" Kate doesn't respond "We gave you a childhood full of care..we have you everything after you felt left out because of your little brother! What more did I need to do? Why did you stop talking to us? What happened?!"
"Hannah" Kates faces shows nothing but guilt "Hannah was my first love and you all got her and her family shunned! Those people aren't friends! They want your money! They only laugh cause you give them expensive things! Dad is only still here because you have money! Have you not noticed Kelly is pregnant? Not noticed how close she's hanging to dad?"
"He wouldn't" It's almost like something clicks in her head and anger is flowing out "Is Jacob even mine?!"
"You can do a lot when you pay money" Kate wipes her eyes "I never had a brother..I had a sister that was given away"
"Hang on one minute please" Kates mom stands up fully and walks toward the big room "I have some...things to do"
She disappears and it's silent for a few minutes. That's when yelling erupts and glass shatters. Soon guests are running out. The last two are Kelly and Kates dad.
"Just listen!" A show barely misses his head "Fine! I'm taking my son and leaving you bitch!"
"I don't need you!" A ring is thrown at him "I just need my daughters!"
When he leaves the door is slammed. There's silence minus one set of heavy breathing. Soon there's walking around and I turn. Judy is moving around the kitchen.
"Well this was a family dinner" Judy turns "Go relax! I'll get this done soon!"
"I'll help" Maribel walks over "They can go relax"
"I honestly wouldn't mind seeing you all normally" We give Kates mom a confused look "Like how you normally are..I know tonight was a setup but I need to fix this..I wanna fix this for my all of us..I wanna make sure you don't leave Kate because of me"
"I think that can work" Shelby walks over and smiles "I think that can work very well"
So that's how we spend the rest of the night. Eating food Judy and Maribel made while being normal. Kates moms name is also Amanda and I should've know that. But I forgot so oh well.
All in all tonight became a good night. I just hope that it's able to stay good between us. I'd love it to stay good between the families. But that's to be seen in the future.
Just have to say what time says..i think that's become a family quote.
