This is the 32nd chapter. This is the fourth part of this fight between Kamigari and Maken-Ki which 'Ouken' has gain the upper-hand. Takeru have met Tesshin the Fatal Hand and the female members of Maken-Ki were having trouble fighting against Gouken, but it would appears that all hell has breaking loose.
Okino Island, White Mirror Waterfall
'Ouken' have gained the upper-hand when he knocked out Minori, leaving her all battered up with bruises and her clothes were tattered up which her cleavage have exposed.
'Not yet...It's too early to give up...If I quit now, who'll protect my students...from that...psychotic old man!' Minori mentally thought with her serious expression, panting heavily as 'Ouken' then walk closer to the Principal with his fist ready which he wasn't even breaking a sweat. Meanwhile at the cliff, Miyabi was a bit beaten by Jin since he's combat experienced.
"Looks like the match has been decided. And of course, Lord Ouken is victorious." Miyabi said with an arrogant smile. "So with that being said, you can glare at me all you want, but that won't change anything."
"Don't count Maken-Ki out just yet, Miyabi." Jin told her with a glare. "Minori may not outmatch 'Ouken', but there is someone else who would."
"Oh, do tell." Miyabi said with a challenge.
"Zane Shinatsu and Takeru Ooyama." Jin answered simply, causing Miyabi to burst with laughter. "Laugh all you want, but the result of Ouken will be a loss along with Kamigari."
That got Miyabi to stop laughing, glaring at Jin as Aki spoke.
"I'm the school nurse, but I'm a doctor as well." Aki stated. "And as a doctor, I can't give up until I've tried everything. Especially if the situation involves any of my students."
Aki then begins to activate her Maken that was coming from her eye, leaving Miyabi shocked.
"Maken Debugger: Valhelm" Aki unleashed her Maken that looked like an eye scanner as she analyze Miyabi.
'Now she decides to use her Maken? But still, it's a type I've never seen before. It doesn't look too powerful, but I'll get rid of anyone who tries to get in Lord Ouken's way!" Miyabi mentally thought as Aki spoke.
"You." Aki said, pointing her. "Your shoulders are stiff. Your trapezius has poor blood circulation. Your latissimus dorsi muscle being tight might also be the cause. But the main reason is that your bra is the wrong size. You shouldn't force yourself into smaller bras to push up your breasts and make them look bigger."
"You Bitch...Your Maken..." Miyabi growled, trembling her body with anger as she yell. "All It Does Is Let You Medically Examine People!"
"Y-Yes, but it's still a Maken." Aki said nervously.
"I was fool for thinking your Maken was dangerous." Miyabi said with annoyance, rubbing her temple to prevent a headache. "You're just Tenbi's poster girl. There's no way you would've-HEY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?! It's against the rules to interfere!"
Miyabi and Jin noticed that Aki was sliding down at the cliff, heading towards the Principal which she couldn't stand here and watch her friend get hurt.
'I know I'm too weak to do anything, but I'd rather try than do nothing!' Aki thought with her serious expression. 'If I turn my life force into element and use it to treat her, then it should heal Minori and replenish a little bit of her element. I have to help her, even if it means risking myself-?!'
'Ouken' noticed that Aki was heading towards this way when he was about to use his Koto-Dama ability.
"Thunder Barret" Zane then used his lightning ability to strike 'Ouken', causing him to scream in agony when he felt shock as he then landed right next to Minori. "Are you alright?"
"Dammit...You shouldn't interfere...it's against...the rules..." Minori told him with serious expression.
"As they say, 'Screw the rules!' That old fart never followed the rules in a first place." Zane pointed out as he turned to him. "Hello, 'Ouken'."
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Zane Shinatsu." 'Ouken' said with a smirk. "I was wondering when I get to meet you."
"Well you have now." Zane said sarcastically. "I've waited a long time for having my revenge."
"Really now?" 'Ouken' questions with a chuckle. "Well, it's sad that I would've have you as an agent of Kamigari, but it's a waste."
"Not as when I see you dead and Kamigari destroyed." Zane retorts as he unleashed his Maken. "Maken Gunblade: Revolver"
With that, both 'Ouken' and Zane charge against each other when they parried and dodge each others attacks, but Zane have manage to graze 'Ouken's' cheek, causing the blood to trickle down which he scream with agony.
'Impossible!? His Maken shouldn't have damaged me, unless...His Maken has a fragment of Habakiri!?' 'Ouken' mentally thought with a realization. 'Not only that he possessed the fragment of Habakiri, but he was using his Anti-Element to weaken my Dark Element. How was he able to use that kind of power!?'
"Beat Fang" Zane then began to use his slash combo and stabbing him, causing 'Ouken' sent flying as he then rushed after him.
"Fated Circle" Zane then spins horizontally while surrounds himself with energy orbs which he's close as the orbs detonates 'Ouken'.
'Ouken' was then knocked down to the ground, gritted his teeth with pain while looking at him. He now realized what he's been with which 'Ouken' have created Zane into an angry Frankenstein. Kamigari were the only one that got him into hell from Syria since they've set him and Jin up by fighting against Kamigari agents and terrorists which it was something that Zane never forgets after what they put him through. Miyabi wasn't too happy that Zane interfered from the fight which he's right about one thing; Screw the rules. It's a life and death situation.
However Aki have manage to get Minori out of her harms way when she analyze 'Ouken', much to her shock and failed to realize what they're dealing with.
'Valhelm focuses on the damage a body has and shows it in dark colors...and the part with severe injuries even darker...yet why...why does 'Ouken's' body look jet black?' Aki mentally thought with horror reaction. "How is someone like that still alive?"
Okino Island, Cave
Takeru slowly regain his consciousness during his fight against Tesshin which it proved that he actually lost his fight because Tesshin have much fighting experience. He then felt something hit him in his face as he spoke. However, the cave was starting to crumble because the two fought.
"Huh?...Why am...I still alive? I thought...I lost..." Takeru said groggily, realized that he's been carried by Tesshin. "Whoaaaa?! What The Heck Are You Doing?!"
"You're awake." Tesshin said stoically. "We must put aside our differences for now. The cave has started to crumble because of our match. We have to leave immediately."
"Okay, but...Why are you helping me?" Takeru questions with a sweat-drop. "I'm your sworn enemy, right?"
"The loser of the match...has to do whatever the winner tells them to..." Tesshin told him. "What I want is to fight you once more now that you've grown stronger."
Takeru was shocked that Tesshin wanted to fight him once more since he pretty much gotten angry at the Fatal Hand from murdering Atsuma, but realize that he admired his mother the entire time as he smiled and spoke.
"I accept...ummm...so what's your real name?" Takeru asked.
"You lost the match, so you should introduce yourself first." Tesshin stated, leaving Takeru gasped which he's gotta point.
"My name...is Takeru Ooyama." Takeru re-introduced himself.
"Takeru...My name is Tesshin Kushiya." Tesshin introduced himself as he began to climb up.
"Kushiya? That's the last name as Inaho." Takeru said with confusion.
"That's because Inaho is my daughter." Tesshin stated, leaving Takeru shocked.
"WHAAAATT?! YOU DAMN LIAR! SHE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE YOU!" Takeru yelled.
"Of course she wouldn't. We're not related by blood." Tesshin told him, leaving Takeru confused. "Inaho was abandoned as a baby. Long before I became affiliated with Kamigari and Yomatsuri, I was a stray ability user. I stayed away from civilization and lived up in the mountains. Then one day, I found her on my footstep. She was just an infant. As she got older, I realized that she was an ability user as well. That was probably the reason why she was left at my place. I decided to raise her and gave her the name 'Inaho'. I had been away from the world for so long that the only thing I could teach her was martial arts. Because of her innocence...Inaho never complained and did whatever I told her...but then...10 years ago...I decided to return to the city to visit an old friend. It was the first time that Inaho saw the bright lights of a city. I felt that if I took my eyes off her, she would leave and venture into the city on her own. Because of that, I became strict with her. And put her through cruel, severe training...I was...afraid. I was afraid that Inaho would leave me. I told you earlier that I was her father, but I know that I don't deserve to call myself that. A father who was so selfish that he hurts his own child don't deserve to be called a parent. Being imprisoned for kidnapping and child abuse was the proof of my failure. I was imprisoned as I was a danger to Inaho per Kamigari's orders."
"By Kamigari?!" Takeru exclaimed with a sweat-drop.
"Back then, Kamigari was an organization meant to 'Police' ability users." Tesshin explained. "However, after I was captured, someone else ordered for my release. It was Ouken. In exchange for my release and telling me where they sent Inaho, I was swear my loyalty to him. I accepted his terms...I learned of the person who was now raising Inaho...She was also part of Kamigari, but she was suspicious of Ouken's actions. Her name was Atsuma Ooyama."
"What do you mean 'part of Kamigari'?!" Takeru shouts.
"Atsuma worked for Kamigari...You didn't know?" Tesshin questions, leaving Takeru confused. "Ouken saw her as someone who only stood in his way. I did whatever Ouken asked of me. At that time, I didn't realize that everything was going according to his plan. He probably had me captured, and then used Inaho as an excuse to make me fight Atsuma. As for what happened next...You already know, Takeru."
Takeru was shocked, realized that Tesshin and Atsuma fight was all a ruse for Ouken so he can have his way.
Flashback, 10 years ago
Both Tesshin and Atsuma fought against each other at the martial arts dojo for his daughter as he then beats her with his kick, knocking her down to the ground. Atsuma was then beaten, coughed in a bit of her blood as she then looked at him.
"Don't underestimate me...Did you really think that you could defeat me with that sickly body of yours?!" Tesshin said with his dark tone, glaring at her. "Now...give me back my daughter!"
"Is that the face you want to be making when you've come to retrieve your own child?" Atsuma retorts seriously. "Sorry, but with that way you're acting right now, I don't want to give her back to you."
'What's...wrong with her?' Tesshin mentally questions with shock. 'Are those really the eyes of someone who's dying?'
Atsuma then rushed towards Tesshin with her fist loaded, leaving him gasp with shock as she then channels her element within her fist.
"So go wash your face and come back when you're done!" Atsuma shouts as she then punched Tesshin in a stomach, causing him to cough with blood as she then began to gave him a headbutt, leaving his forehead bleeding. They then collapse down to the floor which they weren't able to continue due to exhaustion.
'Her power is the power that protects, her power is true strength.' Tesshin mentally thought as he heard Inaho called him.
"Did you come to pick me up?" Inaho asks with a smile, leaving Tesshin shocked that she still called him father. He bit his lowered lip, realized that what he has done to her and Atsuma which he doesn't deserve to be the father of Inaho as she spoke. "Don't worry! The people here are really nice, and they're really good at treating injuries! I know they'll take good care of you..."
"Did you behave yourself, Inaho?" Tesshin asks, patting Inaho's head when she then laughs. "What's the matter?"
"This is the first time you've patted me on my head, Daddy." Inaho answered with a smile.
"I see...you're right..." Tesshin said as he then pulls his hand from her head. "I have a few more things I need to take care of. Make sure you do what these people tell you to while I'm away, un-"
"Okay!" Inaho simply said with interruption.
Tesshin stood up, walking away but stopped. Young Takeru was right behind his mother with worry since this fight was too much for him.
"Atsuma, please take care of her." Tesshin told her. "As the winner of our match, that is what I want you to do."
Atsuma knows that Inaho would miss Tesshin since he did came all the way here to get his daughter back, but he had a change of heart as she spoke.
"I understand." Atsuma said. "But you have promise that you'll come back for her. She adores you and I know you adore her."
"Someday...When I feel that I've become as strong as you, I'll come back for her." Tesshins said without looking at her, leaving the martial arts dojo.
Flashback Ended
"Back then, that little boy was in bandages...Takeru...that was you, wasn't it?" Tesshin questions.
"Bandages?" Takeru repeats, placing his hand on his head with shock.
"You don't remember?" Tesshin asks surprisingly.
"No..." Takeru said, but something flashes in his memory. Remembered, that Takeru bangs his hand against a wooden pillar, tried to prove Inaho that his head was hard as a rock. 'That's right, that time I-but because of that, I've remembered so much...'
"Maybe I've said too much." Tesshin said as he continues to climb, but saw something outside of the cave. "I can see the light."
"Hurry! I Have To Get Back And Help Principal Minori, Miss Nijou, Jin, and Zack!" Takeru shouts.
Okino Island, White Mirror Waterfall
When Takeru and Tesshin have finally made their way out of the cave, they noticed that Aki was working on healing Minori and Jin was staying with the two, but noticed that Zane was missing.
Takeru then rushed towards the three which he's worried about them.
"What happen? Where's Zane?" Takeru questions.
"Minori lost her fight against 'Ouken'. So Zane was taking her place to fight him." Jin explains. "He gained the upper-hand and went on after him."
Aki have finished healing up Minori as she head towards Takeru, used her ability to heal him as Minori.
"It's been a while Minori Rokujou, Jin Kitamura." Tesshin said seriously.
"It has, Tesshin." Jin said with his serious expression.
"Dammit! This isn't the time for sitting here and rest! I have to chase 'Ouken'!" Minori exclaimed, but held back by Tesshin.
"No, you're resting." Tesshin told her. "Takeru, Zane, and Ouken are going to fight."
"What are you talking about? Ouken is my opponent!" Minori retorts.
"Which is why you need to rest, Minori." Jin pointed out. "You're in no condition to fight."
"You Mean You Want Me To Sit Around While One Of My Students Is Killed In Front Of My Eyes...Is That What You're Saying?" Minori yelled, causing Jin to bonk her head.
"That's not what I'm saying, you dumbass!" Jin retorts with a yell. "What I' m saying is you gotta let Zane fight against 'Ouken' and try to have a little faith in those students. You need to realize that you can't fight against Kamigari alone."
Minori knew that Jin was right about that since she's been fighting against 'Ouken' alone.
"How is she?" Takeru asks.
"She'll live." Jin answered simply. "She can still move, but only for a while. Her natural surplus Element must have protected her body from further damage."
"E-Even more so...If I can't do anything-"
"The reason I'm here is because I believe that Takeru and that boy 'Zane' will defeat him." Tesshin interrupts.
"Perhaps the reason why he can use 'Blood Pointer' is!?" Minori shouts, leaving Tesshin nods as she sighed with relief. "I see...That's good. It's because I wasn't able to become that guy's strength..."
"You're wrong. I felt your guys presence from inside that cave." Tesshin told her. "Initially, Takeru couldn't withstand the power of 'Blood Pointer', but within a short period of time, he's been trained beyond recognition. Zane have been able to withstand his abilities and gained his new abilities, but he has the power fragment of Habakiri within his Maken. It's all due to both of your guidance, you two we're blessed to have pupils who thinks the same way you do. Regardless, there's no one who can win against Ouken. Therefore, you can use my element."
Takeru was shocked of seeing Tesshin lending his element to him.
"You're...Kamigari right?" Takeru questions with confusion.
"I heard some time ago, that Ouken has betrayed his morals and now only abducts females for his pleasure." Tesshin explains. "For a while I questioned Ouken's behavior, but he went on with his malicious deeds. I cannot watch Ouken fall any further."
"I got it." Takeru nods with an understanding. "But, when you stare at me with your cold white eyes, you seem pretty unapproachable. It's scary."
"If it pupils...I have them." Tesshin told them, showing his eye which it's really tiny as Takeru then burst with laughter. "You really can't grasp this situation."
"Knock it off, Takeru." Jin said, bonked his head. "This is very serious."
"Sorry." Takeru apologized, rubbing his sore head. "But he seriously helped me out. This debt too, I'll definitely return it."
That got Tesshin come up with an idea as he spoke.
"This debt 'too', huh? If that's so, you can pay me back with something sweet." Tesshin said. "Oh...get me 'Age-Manjuu' from Asakusa. They taste nice and sweet."
Takeru then remembered that Inaho was also into sweet tooth as he smiled.
"What's up?" Tesshin questions.
"Nothing...Let's get this done and over with." Takeru told him. "Zane may need some help."
"It's good that you suddenly became motivated...After this you will fight to protect." Tesshin told him with serious expression. "It's not enough to just help your friends. Your opponent is very similar to you as he also has teammates to help him...Therefore, you and your friend definitely need to come back alive."
"You're here for that reason...Leave it to me." Takeru said with his confident smirk. "I'll help Zane beat Ouken up, and return together with Himegami."
Meanwhile in the forest, both Himegami and Leo were having trouble fighting against Hakuto which he was too fast for the two since his abilities have been enhanced because of the drug.
"How is it? Did my previous attack surprise you?" Hakuto taunts them which he then jumps from tree-to-tree with his enhanced speed. "Well, if you can't see your opponent, you can't avoid their attacks!"
"Shit! He's really fast, he used his 'Mist legs'!" Leo exclaimed, leaving Himegami confused. "They say that this guy can move faster than the speed of sound. It is named after the shock wave released when he activates it. Moving at sonic speed while emitting sound waves, in other words, he manipulates 'sound'."
"As you've already guessed, I can even freely manipulate sounds." Hakuto stated. "To the extent that I used the voice of that non-element users daughter to catch him. There isn't a way I cannot wield it!"
"Damn! I can't use my Maken at this rate!" Leo cursed as he turned to her. "Hey, if you got an ideas, now the time as any!"
'It'll be a waste to use my element now, but-' Himegami thought, but felt 'Ouken's' dark presence was coming here as she spoke. "I have yet to fight against him. Since you've rebelled, do you think you can fight against Kamigari?"
"It's obvious that you know my answer." Leo answered with a smirk as he and Himegami then comes up with a plan.
Hakuto then noticed that something was off about those two as Himegami extends the plant ball to him. Leo then channels his lightning element, throwing at Hakuto which it was a miss.
'Are those electricity balls? No, just plant lumps...They are just holy basils surrounded in electricity...What are you planning to do, huh? Even if you use element to raise the electrical power, there's no way I can be hit...' Hakuto mentally thought since those electric balls were missed as he then spoke with a smirk. "Do you think you'll get a hit with multiple shots? You must be joking with that kind of insane plan. Your ability is as good as nothing if you have an ability, you should use your Maken and fight, right?"
"Little man." Himegami said with her serious expression. "Whether the person has the ability or not, whether they're strong or not. Because you fuss over trivial matters, you and Ouken have lost sight of the truly precious things."
"Still provoking me, huh? That's okay." Hakuto said as he then rushed after the two. "I will destroy you as you wish!"
When Hakuto was about to kill them, he got entangled by those threads from the trees which he was shocked.
"You didn't notice?" Himegami rhetorically asks with a smirk. "I increased the elasticity and adhesiveness of the natural rubber thread, and wove it is between the trees. As result of your arrogance and shooting about the place, you moved around enough to get stuck and entangled."
"Any last words, jackass?" Leo said with a smirk, readied his Maken.
Hakuto then got angry as he then used his ability to break the threads, leaving Himegami obscured her vision.
"It Seems Like The One Who Got Cocky And Lost Is You! Kodama Himegami!" Hakuto yelled as he then charge after her, but suddenly got shocked. Resulting him collapsed down to the ground when he felt the numbness all over his body, didn't understand what happened.
"This trap went according to plan. How fun, you're pulling a face that says 'I don't understand what happened.'" Himegami mocks with a smirk. "The trigger activated when you cut this piece of thread, and the electricity came from the electrified plants Leo threw just now. Leo wasn't aiming for you, he planned to hit the rubber threads woven between the trees, which then acted like a slingshot. When trigger was cut, the binding thread would blind and the would shoot towards the middle where I was standing. You took my bait and moved the way I expected. You're right about one thing, 'You can't avoid what you can't see' right? Well in this case, 'You can't avoid what you can clearly see'."
Leo then leaps after Hakuto when he charged his element.
"Lightning Fang" Leo then slams his fists at Hakuto, leaving him scream with pain and agony as he was then unconscious.
Leo and Himegami then began to tie Hakuto in the tree with a rope.
"Sorry, Nozuchi. I didn't mean to use your energy for something trivial." Himegami apologized with a smile.
"Kodama, I'll be happy if I can be of service." Nozuchi told her with a smile.
"In order to preserve element, I won't summon you unless I absolutely need to." Himegami told her.
"Preserving? Oh well, not that I'm complaining, but let's just be glad that this jackass lost." Leo shrugs.
"You did excellent. I want to thank you." Himegami said with a smile when they heard Hakuto laughs.
"I might have gone easy on you, but you will regret it." Hakuto said with a smile. "It's good you caught me instead of Lord Ouken."
"You bastard, you think I care about the opinion of a loser dog like you?" Himegami questions with her dark tone, stomped his head. "If you're saying people like Ouken aren't your enemy-"
"Leave him be." Leo interrupts. "He's the bottom and lost his mind anyways. If Zane didn't knock my ass, I would've beat him. I don't want to look like a fool to him."
Until, 'Ouken' was then got crashed against the tree which he was all slashed and a bloody mess. He then slowly looked up when he noticed Zane stared at him with his killing intent aura and the lion aura that surrounds him while carrying his gunblade.
"Damn you...Zane...I should've killed you...when I have...the chance..." 'Ouken' said weakly.
"Well you didn't." Zane retorts.
Himegami noticed that Zane have already given 'Ouken' a major beaten as she then joins him.
"Save some for me Zane." Himegami told him. "Because I wanna fight him as well."
