Welcome back to the climatic showdown of Insurgence, where Natasha would face off against her greatest foe in a battle for the ages. It'll be one wild ride from beginning to end, so I hope you're all looking forward to it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokémon Insurgence; it is the property of its creators.

Stepping into the vast halls of the Throne of the Hegemon, Natasha soon laid eyes on her enemy, the group staring back at her. There were at least 2 dozen cultists standing on the sidelines, all of them as silent as a ghost as they watched her walk into the center of the room. There, she saw another pair of cultists standing behind Nora, making sure she didn't break free from their grasp, the green-haired girl turning to face her friend. Standing beside them was another figure, wearing a similar outfit to the cultists, only it was a lot more pristine and was adorned with a few precious gemstones. Additionally, they were considerably taller than the other cultists, leading Natasha to believe that this was the Mistress they followed.

"Natasha, you came!" Nora called out to her.

"Hang in there Nora, I'll save you!" The purple-haired girl pledged, turning to face the cult leader. "Let her go; she has nothing to do this this."

"Ah, but she does, Natasha…" The Mistress replied, slowly approaching the teenager. "I've been watching you for quite some time. my apologies for kidnapping your…friend, but it was something that needed to be done. Otherwise, you wouldn't have made your trek here."

"Now look at what you've done. You've blundered into her trap out all because your friend got kidnapped! Ugh, some 'hero' you are." Jaern spat at the purple-haired girl, attracting the Mistress' attention.

"So you came as well, usurper? Still under the belief that you are more than just a minor piece in this millennia old game of chess? Perhaps these next few moments would prove to you just how irrelevant in the grand scheme of things." She retorted, causing the blonde man to scoff in annoyance. "Natasha, this sacred place was where the worlds were made. But before I begin, allow me to introduce myself. I am Nyx; someone who is in an unfortunate situation, just like yourself."

"I remember hearing bits and pieces from the cultists; how you're forced to wear those suits, and that the Distortion World is teeming with horrible monsters. I wouldn't wish that fate onto anyone, not even this asshole besides me." Natasha replied, pointing her thumb at Jaern.

"Likewise, I wouldn't wish our suffering onto your people." Nyx replied, briefly turning her head to the side. "You've met the Timeless, right? The group of trainers who protect the crystal from me and my comrades. Warriors from across time and space who are bound by the orders of Arceus, or whatever nonsense they spew. Their stinginess knows no bounds; after Arceus gave them the crystal to guard, there wasn't a way for us to get it directly. Luckily for us, we came across a man who wished for his life to have meaning, to make a name for himself. You know who I'm talking about…"

"Zenith, of the Infernal Cult. You used him to instigate the Cult Wars in the hopes of securing the crystal for yourself." The purple-haired girl replied.

"Precisely. It's not something I'm proud of, but it's easy to manipulate humans, especially those struck by arrogance and greed. I don't even need to use mind control, just a few carefully selected words can do the trick. Our main goal was to frighten the Timeless into using the crystal, but it worked even better than we expected. Thanks to Zenith, dozens of cults sprang up and caused untold chaos throughout the region. The Timeless leased it to Adam, the First Augur and your father." The Mistress continued, catching Nora by surprise.

"W-What?!" She exclaimed, turning to face her friend. "Y-Your father was the First Augur?!"

"I only found out about it a few hours ago, no thanks to my memory loss…" Natasha admitted, gesturing Nyx to continue.

"Adam was supposed to take out most of the cults before falling to Zenith, however the usurper threw a hitch in my plans. He stole the crystal and stopped fighting the cults, his lust for power ruining our plans—" She continued.

"That's enough! I was the one who'd use the crystal to stop you, not this pampered brat over here!" Jaern yelled at the Mistress, her loyal followers shooting death glares at him. However, the robed woman wasn't fazed by his comment at all.

"Despite our plans being ruined by your meddling, you were never considered a threat at all. Not only did you lose to my comrade back in Amphitrite City, but you resorted to cowardly methods to deal with Adam, a clear indication that you lacked the skill to defeat him." Nyx coolly retorted, the blonde man scoffing once more. "Due to his meddling, I had to get involved. I started out by hiring a street magician to masquerade as an oracle of old, faking a grandiose prophecy in order to lure Zenith into my trap. Just as I had hoped for, he fell for it and believed he could take you out. His arrogance blinded him, just as it blinded him back then. Our psychological tricks don't work on everyone however, especially those strong enough to be chosen by a Mythical Pokémon, such as Mew. But Zenith thought they did, and because of that, he lost."

"So the prophecy we heard back then…it was a fake?" Nora chimed in, immense guilt welling up inside her. It was no thanks to that lie that Damian is in the position he's currently in.

"Indeed. I know how painful it must've been for you to accuse your friend of treachery that day, but fear is but another tool we use to manipulate your people. Our manipulations had an endgame to them, shifting the pieces of the crystal so they could return to me. Now, all the pieces are in the room; one in my possession, and two in Natasha's." The Mistress concluded, a sense of respect welling up inside her. "For making it this far, you deserve to know the entire truth. Ask any question you want, and I shall answer it."

"For starters, I'd like to know your reason for all of this; there has to be a reason you dragged Torren through the depths of hell." The purple-haired girl requested, the tall er woman giving her a slow nod.

"I can answer that question, but I'd like to ask your friend a different question to start things off. Nora, what do you know about how the universe was created?" Nyx inquired, turning her head to face the teenager.

"F-From what I've read, Arceus made it from a golden egg. Then it made Diagla, Palkia and Giratina to govern over time, space and Dark Matter respectively." The green-haired girl answered.

"Antimatter, not Dark Matter. Those are two very different things." Nyx corrected her.

"M-My apologies. Anyway, Giratina grew angry and tried to overthrow Arceus, so it was banished to the Distortion World forever." She concluded, the Mistress nodding upon hearing those worlds.

"Correct, well that's what the narrative says. But here's a hypothetical question; say it was Giratina who won the battle. What do you think the stories would say?" The robed woman inquired.

"Well…if I was Giratina, I'd say it was Arceus who revolted against me, and that I stopped it. Just like Jaern did, I'd want people to be on my side." Nora answered.

"Exactly, history is written by the winners. And why wouldn't it? Of course, you'd want to be remembered as the brave hero who stopped the terrible villain. The story says that Arceus created the world with a thousand hands, but anyone who's seen the depictions of it would know that it has no hands. The truth is that the birth of the universe is more complicated than we can imagine. Nobody really knows how it happened, but I believe the crystal played a vital role. But the thing I do know; Arceus wasn't in charge." Nyx began, dropping a bombshell onto the purple-haired girl.

"W-What do you mean, Arceus wasn't in charge?!" Natasha exclaimed, demanding an answer.

"…do you know the difference between matter and antimatter? Matter is made of very small subatomic particles. These particles, such as protons and electrons can have a positive or negative charge. In antimatter, it's the opposite. One isn't inferior to the other, they're basically the same. The names are arbitrary, it's only what we call them that matters. The fact is, the matter that makes up the main universe? That was supposed to be called antimatter. The antimatter world is now known as the Distortion World, but it was originally the other way around. Arceus didn't like being the bottom dog, so it worked together with Dialga and Palkia to steal the crystal and overthrow Giratina. Because of this, my people are trapped in the Distortion World; we used to look like you, but the Distortion World ruined us." The Mistress began, removing her cloak and revealed her body to the duo. It wasn't made of bone, flesh or even blood; it was nothing more than an orb of light blue energy shaped like a human, her deep blue eyes gazing at the teenager girl. "All we want is our home back…"

"C-Couldn't you move into our world? Live with us?" Natasha proposed, only for the Mistress to shake her head in response.

"The suits can only protect us for so long in your world. If we stayed in your world for too long, we'll disintegrate into nothing." Nyx knocked back the offer. "Nobody deserves to live in the Distortion world, whether the title goes to your world or mine. Unfortunately, this is the way it was meant to be; I will fight to save my people from their fate. As we speak, Giratina is making its way here, where it will use the power of the crystal to reform the universe into the way it was always meant to be. My people will find salvation, whereas yours will return to the mirror. Giratina will rule once more, and Arceus the insurgent will be cast aside forever. The only thing stopping me from achieving my dream, is you, Natasha."

"So this is how it will end, a showdown between the champions from two different worlds, fighting for the sake of their people. I pity you Nyx, I really do, but I will not let my people down. I will fight to the bitter end, just like you!" Natasha pledged boldly.

"As I had hoped for, a fair fight between two equals. However, as this is my home, I hope you don't mind if we play by my rules for this battle. We shall engage in an Inverse battle." The Mistress informed Natasha, catching her by surprise.

"Inverse battle? May I ask what an Inverse battle is?" The purple-haired girl inquired, with Nyx granting Nora permission to answer.

"You know how Fire is strong against Grass? In an Inverse battle, Fire becomes weak to Grass. It essentially reverses the type-matchups." The green-haired girl answered.

"Figures, you didn't even know what an Inverse battle is. And you're supposed to be our champion? Hah!" Jaern taunted, only for the teenager to ignore the pathetic man.

"I'm ready when you are." Natasha called out, sending out her Dugtrio as Nyx sent out her Aurorus in response, the large sauropod gazing calmly at the mole. Rearing its head back, the Aurorus spewed an icy cold gust of wind from its mouth, its chilly breath causing the Dugtrio to shiver on the spot. Breaking free from the relentless gust, it burrowed underground, catching the sauropod by surprise as it turned its head to the ground, expecting an attack from below. However, the Snow Mole Pokémon emerged a meter behind the Aurorus, its heads glowing a harsh orange as it tackled into the dinosaur, sending it flying several feet. Slowly getting back up, it shot a glare at the small mole, its frills crackling with electricity as it fired a large bolt of lightning at the enemy, landing a direct hit. The Dugtrio was stunned momentarily, breaking free just in time to avoid a tail sweep from the Aurorus. Nearly out of options, the mole opted to go for one last attack, conjuring up several large chunks of ice and had them encase the sauropod in a frozen prison. The chunks of ice soon shattered, the Aurorus falling to the ground as it was down for the count.

"Not bad, you're staring to understand how an Inverse battle works…" Nyx praised her opponent, recalling her Pokémon before sending out her Exeggutor. "However, you have yet to reach my level. Seed Bomb."

Upon hearing those words, the Exeggutor began barraging the Dugtrio with a series of large coconuts, the giant fruit exploding upon impact as the mole was pushed back several feet. In desperation, the Snow Mole Pokémon blew a gust of icy cold wind at the sentient tree, but it was barely affected by the attack, raising its foot in the air and stomped on the mole, knocking it out cleanly.

Calmly, Natasha recalled her Dugtrio, gazing at the Exeggutor as an idea formed in her mind. Selecting her next Pokémon, the purple-haired girl sent out her Ludicolo, the wizard meditating quietly. Cleansing its mind of negative thoughts, it powered up its mental power drastically, putting it on an even playing field with its dangerous foe. Opening its eyes, it gazed at the coconut tree, lifting it in the air with is psychic power and flung it towards the walls, leaving a sizable impact crater. However, the Exeggutor wasn't out for the count, landing on its feet and lobbed another barrage of coconuts at its foe. The Ludicolo was able to dodge the incoming attack effortlessly, rearing its head back and spewed a stream of boiling hot water at its foe, sweeping it off its feet as it landed face first into the ground, unable to continue battling.

Nyx promptly returned her Pokémon and opted to send out her Greninja next, the frog eyeing up its foe cautiously. Leaping into the air, it spewed a beam of ice-cold energy at the wizard, freezing its feet in place. It was able to break free from its miniature prison, but not before receiving a devastating punch from the slender frog. Regaining its composure, the Sage Pokémon conjured up an aura of eerie energy, sending a wave of pitch-black rings at the frog, knocking it to the ground. From there, it followed up by lifting the injured frog with its mental power, flinging it into the wall before following up with a second Dark Pulse, creating a sizable explosion in the room. By the time the smoke was cleared, the Greninja had fallen to the ground, knocked out from the two-front assault.

"You've lasted much longer than I expected you too. But this is where I make my comeback…" Nyx warned the girl, recalling her Pokémon and sent out her Breloom, the mushroom chirping in determination. Eyeing up the Ludicolo, it used its superior speed to lunge at the Sage Pokémon, pummeling it with a series of powerful punches and kicks. The Ludicolo spewed a blast of hot water at the Breloom, causing it to stagger back a couple feet. But the mushroom was able to recover, delivering a swift uppercut that sent the wizard flying into the air. It then jumped into the air and swung its tail down, sending the Ludicolo crashing into the ground as it was down for the count.

Wincing in pain for her injured comrade, Natasha recalled it before sending out her Typhlosion, opting to go for a battle of speed. As she anticipated, the Typhlosion lunged at the mushroom, its body cloaked in electricity as it tackled into its opponent. The attack had sent the Breloom back a few feet, small sparks of electricity crackling on its body as the attack had left it paralyzed. However, this did not concern Nyx at all, the otherworldly human asking it to use Façade as the mushroom was enveloped in an orange aura. It tackled the Typhlosion, its status condition doubling the damage inflicted as the Generator Pokémon was sent flying back several feet. Managing to get back up, it roared at the Breloom, getting on all fours and charged up a Flash Cannon. Not wanting the attack to land, the Breloom charged at its foe once more, hoping to knock it out with a second Façade. But at the very last second, the Generator Pokémon fired its attack, striking the mushroom's head as it spun in the air for a few moments before crashing into the ground.

Sensing that Breloom couldn't continue fighting, the Mistress recalled it, opting to send out her Garchomp in response, with Jaern flinching at the sight. "My subordinate told me just how powerful Garchomp is, so I decided to get one for myself. Having tried it out back home, I can see why he praised it so much."

"It is a strong Pokémon, but it'll take more than that to defeat me." Natasha declared, with Typhlosion letting out a quick growl in response. Eyeing up the honey badger, the Garchomp lunged at it, slashing at it with its sharp claws before delivering a swift kick, knocking it back a couple feet. Shaking its head, the Typhlosion launched a bolt of lightning at the land shark, securing a direct hit and paralyzed the powerful foe. However, the Garchomp soon broke free from paralysis and swung its tail into the Generator Pokémon, causing the latter to growl at it. It's body brimming with electricity, it leaped onto its foe and latched onto it, its body beginning to glow as the Garchomp tried to shake it off frantically. Its efforts would be in vain as a massive explosion soon rocked the area, sending both combatants flying back as they crumpled into the ground, unable to continue battling.

"Hah, you're three Pokémon down! Not so tough now, are you?" Jaern jeered, only for Nora to shoot a glare at him.

"Just shut up already, she's fighting for our people! Besides, she brought Nyx down to her last Pokémon." The green-haired girl silenced him, causing the cult leader to flinch as both trainers recalled their injured companions.

"She's right; I am down to my last Pokémon. However, I have no reason to express fear over my situation." Nyx replied, sending out her Kangaskhan as her body began to glow. Within moments, the Kangaskhan was enveloped by a wonderous light, immense energy coursing through its body as it soon emerged in its Mega Form. "My form does grant me one advantage; I don't need to use a Mega Ring in order to activate Mega Evolution. All I need is a strong bond between me and my Pokémon."

"I see…" Natasha replied, unsure on how to respond to her comment. The purple-haired proceeded to send out her Charizard, the skeletal dragon roaring at its foe. Taking to the skies, the Charizard breathed a stream of ghostly fire at its foe, with the Kangaskhan conjuring up a wall of light to protect itself from the attack. Once the coast was clear, the Kangaskhan lunged at the Charizard, smacking it to the ground with a powerful punch, with its child following up with a second punch. Getting back up on its feet, the Skeleton Pokémon growled at its opponent, breathing a powerful blast of draconic energy that paralyzed the Mega Pokémon on the spot. It's opponent rendered vulnerable, the Charizard took to the skies and spread its wings, collecting the darkness from the edges of this forsaken place. Once it was fully powered up, the dragon fired a large beam of pure darkness at the Kangaskhan, scoring a direct hit as it was sent flying back several feet in the ground, promptly devolving as neither the mother nor the child could continue battling. But despite this loss, Nyx was unfazed by her defeat, a calm expression on her face.

"I'll admit defeat here, but the battle isn't over yet. There's still one last opponent you have to face." She replied, the room quaking as a large rip appeared behind her, a massive figure emerging from the portal. Giratina, the supposed rightful ruler of the world has descended onto the battlefield, gazing at Natasha in a sense of…amusement? Perhaps it enjoyed whatever resistance she was able to offer up. "Forgive me for losing to her, Giratina. I didn't expect her to defeat me, however I have a piece of the crystal within my grasp. Use it and show her the power you used to create the universe!"

Accepting the crystal from Nyx, an ancient power soon coursed through Giratina, its body taking on a new form as Natasha stared at it in a mix of terror and awe. Its body was now long and serpentine, more than twice as long as it's Origin Forme. Its legs were long and spindly, its pitch-black wings growing in length as each one was now adorned in a scythe-like spike.

"Th-This is…" The purple-haired girl began, her eyes locked on it as her Charizard flinched at the sight. The Giratina gazed at Natasha once more, silently informing her that the Inverse rules Nyx had put into place were no longer in effect. Realizing that this put her at an advantage, Natasha began the offense, ordering her Charizard to use Dragon Pulse. The skeletal dragon charged up a multi-colored ball of draconic energy in its more, before firing a pulsating beam of light at the Renegade Pokémon. The attack struck the Giratina directly, the teenage girl cheering to herself, only to clam up when she saw that it didn't do a thing. "B-But how…?"

"I-I don't know…L-Let me do a quick analysis!" Nora called out, taking out her Cybernav and started scanning the primal Pokémon. Within moments, the Giratina took to the skies, disappearing into the shadows as the Charizard paused to search for its foe. Seconds later, the Giratina emerged and struck the skeletal dragon from behind, knocking it to the ground as a small cloud of dust blanketed the area. Natasha knew for a fact that her Charizard was knocked out and recalled it, gazing wearily at the Giratina. Just then, the light pinged on Nora's Cybernav, the green-haired girl gasping in surprise. "N-Natasha! Primal Giratina has an incredible power; the power of Omnitype."

"Omnitype?" She inquired.

"A name I just came up with for its power. All moves used against a Pokémon with Omnitype will factor in the weakness and resistances of all types at once. Not only does it grant Giratina a total of EIGHT immunities, but it's also has type-based immunities to statuses such as poison and burn. The only type that can deal super effective damage to a Pokémon with Omnitype is Rock." Nora informed her, an idea forming in Natasha's mind.

"Rock types? I only have three of them, and two of them are weak to Ghost." She spoke to herself, her mind wandering over to her safest option, Delta Glalie. Opting to go for it, send sent out her Glalie, the Fire/Rock type glaring at the Giratina, only to flinch when the Renegade Pokémon glared back. "I know you're scared, but the fate of the world rests in this battle. Please, fight by my side, if only for Meloetta's sake."

Recalling the promise it made to its friend, a wave of courage coursed through the Glalie's body, the Rock type crying out in defiance as it breathed a stream of fire at the Giratina, landing a direct hit. Though the attack didn't deal that much damage, it was able to leave behind a few burns on the dragon's body, causing it to scowl at the Delta Pokémon. It disappeared into the shadow's once more, causing the Glalie to pause as it began searching for its foe. Moments later, the Giratina struck from behind, sending the Flaming Face Pokémon to the ground, but it wasn't knocked out. Floating back up in the air, the Glalie's head began glowing a harsh blue, the Rock type spiraling towards the Giratina as it smashed itself into the Renegade Pokémon's head. The attack did catastrophic damage to the primal Pokémon, the serpentine deity staggering on the spot as the Glalie hovered beside it, dizzy from the powerful Head Smash. Barely managing to regain its composure, the Giratina knocked it to the ground with its tail, finishing off the injured Pokémon as it collapsed onto the ground.

"I'll make sure your hard work will not be in vain." Natasha recalled her injured Pokémon, eyeing up the weakened Giratina. All she needed to do was land one final attack, and she will emerge victorious in this battle for the ages. And she knew who to send out; with a quick flick of her wrist, the teenage girl sent out her Delta Volcarona, the large moth gazing at the Giratina in determination. The Giratina attempted to slip into the shadows once more but soon collapsed onto the ground, slowly getting back up as Nyx and her followers stepped back in surprise at the sight. How could the one true god be on its last legs, by the hands of an ordinary antimatter human nonetheless? No, she wasn't an ordinary human; she was their champion, their last hope for salvation.

"Forgive me for this, Nyx. If only our worlds were on equal footing, we could've been allies. Should I be lucky enough to see Arceus, I'll convince it to work with Giratina to save your world. But for now I must end this; Power Gem." The purple-haired girl apologized, turning her head as her strongest companion conjured up a series of sharp crystals and flung them at its foe, securing a direct hit on its foe as the Giratina collapsed to the ground, devolving back into its Origin Forme before disappearing from the area, returning to the Distortion World.

"She did it…she actually did it!" Nora gasped, taken aback by what she just saw as immense joy overcame her. Breaking free from her captors, she leaped onto Natasha and embraced her firmly. "T-That was incredible, Natasha! You save the wor—no, the universe from destruction."

"It was the hardest battle of my life, but I couldn't have done it without my Pokémon. They deserve just as much praise, if not, even more than me." The purple-haired girl replied, making her way to the third piece of the crystal and picked it up. "See Jaern, I told you that I'd save the day!"

"Whatever…" He huffed, a look of anger on his face. After all this time plotting in the shadows, betraying anyone and everyone to secure power, his dream was reduced to dust, by the child of his sworn enemy nonetheless. It was no surprise to Natasha that he was a very sore loser, but what surprised her was how accepting Nyx was of her defeat, even though one could tell that she was in despair.

"So this is how it ends; my millennia-long battle for my people ending in defeat." She commented, crestfallen over her impending fate. One by one, her cultists faded from the area, returning to the Distortion World where they will remain for the rest of their lives. "At the very least, I was able to fight a worthy opponent, who fought for her people just as I fought for mine. It's funny; had Arceus made our worlds truly equal, we could've been allies, just as you said. Perhaps…perhaps if what you say is true and Arceus would be willing to show mercy, then there may be hope for my people after all…"

Seconds later, Nyx disappeared from the Throne of the Hegemon, leaving the three antimatter humans behind to mull over the prospect of peace between the two worlds. "So, that's it then. After all this time, it's over. You essentially took down every cult in the region, as well as Giratina in its strongest form. If there's anyone worthy of stepping in the First Augur's footsteps, it's you." The green-haired girl stated, a sense of accomplishment welling up within the purple-haired girl.

"The only thing left to do is become the new champion of Torren. I'll be more than honored if you could join my side during this final leg of the journey." She replied.

"Definitely. After all, you're the closest friend I've ever had…" Nora smiled, only to be caught off-guard as her friend embraced her. "N-Natasha?"

"We could be more than friends, my love…" Natasha suggested, planting a gentle kiss on Nora's lips as the latter began blushing up a storm. Though taken aback by the sudden display of affection, she wasn't opposed to it at all, embracing her friend in response to her kiss. A few seconds later, they broke it up, shooting a quick look at Jaern. "As tempting as it is to leave him here, I'm sure the police want to throw him in jail. Do you mind helping me out?"

"No problem. There's a mysterious purple mark on the back wall, similar to the ones I saw in other places within Torren. If memory serves me, Hoopa uses them to create portals in order to warp to other places." The green-haired girl replied, making her way to the bound Jaern and kept an eye on him as Natasha got to work activating the portal. Once it was open, she gestured for her lover to step through, with Nora happy to do so as the purple-haired girl followed behind her.

Nexa Town

Upon stepping into the portal, the duo somehow ended up in Nexa Town, the small town beyond Narra Town that served as a rest stop for trainers before taking on the perilous Victory Road. However, the duo were soon confronted by a familiar figure, the king they had met before in the Crystal Caves. Behind him were several police officers, all of them making their way towards Jaern in order to apprehend him.

"I'm impressed, you actually did it. The big threat that's been terrorizing our reality since the dawn of time has been defeated. I must say Natasha, you've done us all an unforgettable service, and we will forever be grateful for your bravery. Now, if you'll hand over those crystal pieces, that'll be appreciated." The king requested.

"Certainty; such power shouldn't be in the hands of humans." She accepted, handing the pieces over to the regal man. With Nyx no longer a problem, the Timeless should be able to keep the crystal safe. Bowing in respect, the older man made his leave, leaving the Police to deal with Jaern.

"Don't worry about this traitor, you two continue your league challenge. Victory Road is right ahead." An officer called out, with Natasha giving him a nod of respect as she and Nora made their way onto Victory Road.

Torren's version of Victory Road was a little different from the other regions; while the others had challenging puzzles on top of rugged terrain to test a trainer's capabilities, this place had the worst challenge of them all; obnoxious trainers. Everyone she saw dressed up like a figure from various mythologies and spouted the lamest taunts of them all.

"You will meet your end here…"

"You will die without leaving a legacy…"

"I've gotten further than you, and I'm only half your age…"

Easily the most try-hard nonsense of all time. Natasha swore to herself; when she becomes champion, the first thing she'll do is a complete revamp of Victory Road. No more of these edgy put downs by losers masquerading as gods. She just hoped that something, anything could put her in a better mood. And as luck would have it, she found exactly what she was looking for. Resting idly by the water was a Delta Lilligant, its body made entirely out of water. It had several short tentacles all over its body, the tips a vivid red and were as hot as a Charizard's tail flame. Additionally, it had a small flower resting atop its head, a small flame flickering brightly in the center. Licking her lips in anticipation, Natasha threw a ball at it, the small device ensnaring the Pokémon. It wiggled for a few moments before resting in place, indicating a successful capture.

"Phew, guess this trip wasn't a complete pain after all." The purple-haired girl smiled, picking up the ball and pocketed it.

"You know, I never imagined our first date to be at a place like this. I expected a park, or even a restaurant." Nora chimed in, gazing at her surroundings.

"I figured we'd do something a little unorthodox so to speak, spice things up a—" Natasha began, only for the taunts to return.

"Another crutch for you to shoulder your burdens on…"

"You only got this far thanks to the Delta Pokémon; without them you're worthless…"

"You're a failure of a human being…"

"Oh, to hell with this. Come, Nora!" The purple-haired girl called out, the duo quickly running down the path to escape the endless taunting. All of a sudden, life in the Distortion World was looking very pleasant.

And that wraps up this chapter, nice and neatly. With her final victory over Nyx and her followers, Natasha has dealt with the cults once and for all, as well as confess her feelings to Nora. Now, the next three chapters will cover the Elite 4/Champion battles, so I hope you're all looking forward to that. Additionally, I'll be working on a new fic that incorporates elements from The Divine Conspiracy, so make sure to check out my Archive Of Our Own page for when it comes out. Thank you all for reading, I'll see you in the next chapter.
