Ethan: The next chapter in our story is now unlocked.
PDR: With Amy's top marks, she is qualified for the final round of national practice exams, taking place at Mugen School.
Ethan: Of course, being at the home base of the Heart Snatchers, you can expect that trouble will soon arise from another of the Witches 5, now down to 2.
PDR: There also might just be something special that births from this inevitable struggle.

Chapter 31
Byruit's Nanotech Overload! A Power Beyond!
It's a cold day in the city of Tokyo. Thomas, Tina, Amy, Lita, Mina, and Raye are outside of Raye's temple, figuring out a book that was found recently.
"So, Sylvester and Tweety found this book during their last scouting around in Mugen School." Thomas informs.
"An assignment book?" Tina wonders.
"I guess it belongs to someone who goes to Mugen High." Mina figures.
"It's the perfect excuse to visit there, since getting in is really tough to do." Lita says.
"Yeah, really tough." Amy agrees.
Serena runs over to the group to pass on the great news she's heard.
"Hey, guys! Guess what, guess what? It's about you, Amy! You did it! Way to go! It's official!" Serena expresses. "And the top grade on the first round of the natural exams goes to Amy, of course!"
"Wow! You're ranked number one?" Mina exclaims.
"Congratulations, Amy!" Raye expresses.
"Thanks, but... actually, I'm only tied for number one. So, pride level aside, there is someone else perfect." Amy informs.
"Who?" Serena asks.
"Her name is Julie Budou. She goes to Mugen High." Amy names.
"She might know whose book this is." Raye says.
"This is great, Amy! The next trial exam is at Mugen School. If Amy passes, we'll check it out. We can go with you and investigate when you take the test, okay?" Mina suggests.
"One problem, though. Tickets to watch the exams are all sold out." Tina informs.
"May I suggest the art of stealth for this mission?" Thomas asks.
"I guess it's what we will probably have to do." Lita says.
"Seriously, it's nuts that we have to buy tickets to watch some big test!" Mina complaints.
"Yeah. I mean, I understand sporting events or even special gaming events like with chess. But, national exams? That sounds weird." Tina ponders.
"Believe me, Tina. I've seen weirder in some other worlds." Thomas says. "Ohh, like for example-"
"Save the stories for another time, Thomas." Raye interrupts.
"Uhh... right." Thomas sweatdrops.
"Regardless, I want to be there to see Amy take the exam." Mina says.
"Umm... if you would allow me to speak, I did find out. Since I tied for number one, I automatically get to take the next round of tests." Amy informs.
The other girls sweatdrop.
"I guess the art of stealth is not needed, then." Thomas says.
"In that case, Amy, you can sneak us in!" Raye smiles.
With the snow starting to fall around the city, the gang makes their way to Mugen School, but have to wait a rather long line to be able to enter the school.
"Ooooh... it's quite chilly out, today." Tina shivers.
"It sure is taking a while for us. Here, Tina, let me keep your warm." Thomas offers.
Thomas holds Tina, allowing her to keep warm.
"This is nice. Thanks, Thomas." Tina blushes.
"Ohhhh... I wish Darien was here to keep me warm." Serena frowns.
Minutes pass, but the line's position is still the same.
"When is this line going to move?" Lita wonders.
"I just checked, and it looks like they haven't even opened, yet." Amy informs.
"I don't get it! These students are willing to line up, outside, in the middle of a snowstorm, on a Saturday, to take an exam?" Serena questions.
"I would rather watch a movie if Amy wasn't a huge part of this." Tina says.
"You definitely have the right idea, Tina! They sure take their studies seriously!" Serena comments.
"Some people are like that, Serena." Thomas says.
"Yeah, they aren't like you... who loves to eat sweets, play video games, and read weird magazines, meatball buns!" Raye grins.
Serena sweatdrops and argues at Raye, "Get off my caaaase!"
The others in the group laugh at their silly argument.
And watching high near atop the school are Dr. Tomoe and Kaorinite, with Kaorinite taking a hold of Dr. Tomoe's arm.
"Hmm. This is some good turnout." Dr. Tomoe notices.
"Mmhmm. The nationals are a prestigious academic event. It draws the best and brightest." Kaorinite agrees.
Taking a look at the monitor, currently shown on it are Serena's group. Serena is eating chips.
"What's that pest doing here, then?" Dr. Tomoe wonders, looking at Serena.
"You don't mean the girl next to that muscular boy, do you? The one who visited Hotaru from time to time?" Kaorinite asks.
"Not her. She's been good to my daughter. I'm talking about the blonde girl with buns." Dr. Tomoe points out.
"There's always an exception. Don't worry, she couldn't possibly be competing. If I had to guess, both of them are probably spectators." Kaorinite assumes.
"Doctor." A woman with a blue outfit speaks. Surprised, Kaorinite lets go of the doc.
"Ahh. Good morning, Byruit. Everything is running as planned, I take it?" Dr. Tomoe asks.
"Ohh, yes. Smooth as silk, doctor. There's no doubt I'll collect a whole bunch of pure hearts in just one swoop." Byruit assures.
"Good. With the loss of three of our Witches, now, we're depending on your success. The pure hearts are needed to waken the Sovereign of Silence." Dr. Tomoe reminds.
"I am honored to serve, doctor." Byruit bows.
"Hmm..." Kaorinite ponders.
"One more thing before I take my leave. Kaorinite, cut the flirt act and try to make believe you actually have a use!" Byruit says.
"Hmph!" Kaorinite growls.
Rini and Shadow make a dash towards Hotaru's home. In an earlier conversation, Rini had come to Lita's home, telling Shadow about what recently happened with Hotaru.
"What?" Shadow exclaimed.
"It's true! Kaorinite came back. And now... Hotaru's gone again. After I just saw her, too..." Rini frowned.
"Hotaru..." Shadow shivered.
"Shadow, you miss her, don't you?" Rini asked.
"I do. I... I want to keep her safe. I don't know what I would do if I lost her..." Shadow desired.
"I don't want to lose her, too. She's my best friend. She's the one, valuable friend my mommy of my time wanted me to have. I don't care if she has a bad person in her. I just want Hotaru, my friend... our friend!" Rini said.
"Rini..." Shadow pondered.
"You want to go to her house, today? I don't think she'll be there. I just want to remember all the good times we used to have with her." Rini asked.
"Sure." Shadow agreed.
This leads up to why they are heading to Hotaru's home. With traffic stopping due to a red light, Rini and Shadow run past the walkway. One of the people in the cars that see the two sprinting would be Darien. He opens the car window to speak to them. They stop when he calls them.
"Rini, Shadow!" Darien calls.
"Ohh, hi, Darien." Rini greets.
"Hey." Shadow also agrees.
"Need a ride?" Darien asks.
"No thanks." Rini says.
"Gotta get going. I'll keep her safe." Shadow assures.
The two continue their run through an alley. Darien drives off. Trista, walking by, had noticed them before they moved away. Darien ends up seeing Trista through his front door mirror. Trista looks at the direction she saw Rini and Shadow ran through.
Rini and Shadow make it to the gate of Hotaru's house. They stare into the house, as they reflect on their feelings of Hotaru.
"Hotaru..." Shadow ponders.
"The house is so dark and empty. Hotaru, I wish we knew where you were." Rini desires.
She recalls the painful image of Hotaru being taken away about Kaorinite.
Rini frowns and sighs. Shadow looks at Rini. He recalls what Rini told him about Kaorinite taking Hotaru away. It reminds him of a similar situation with Maria being taken away.
"I know how it feels, Rini." Shadow says.
"Huh?" Rini wonders.
"Having someone dear to you being taken away by someone bad? That happened to me with Maria." Shadow reflects.
"Ohh, Shadow. Do you have nightmares about Maria?" Rini asks.
"Not anymore. Not only has having my brother back helped, but... Hotaru is filling the role for me that... Maria used to take for me." Shadow says.
"That's nice." Rini faintly smiles.
The two sit down as they look upon Hotaru's house.
"You want to hear the story on how I took Hotaru and my brother to the Space Colony ARK?" Shadow asks.
"Ohh, that's right! I heard about that from Hotaru, but she only told me the highlights. I want to hear all that happened." Rini anticipates.
"Okay. Let's start with... what the ARK looked like." Shadow begins.
"Is it a huge place?" Rini asks.
"It is. It's much bigger than Hotaru's home, even." Shadow says.
"Wow!" Rini exclaims.
After a bit more time, Serena's gang finally manages to enter the building. They go over what they will be doing.
"Boy, I can't believe we're here! Hahahaha!" Serena laughs. "I've never seen so many brainiacs under one roof."
"Ohhh, wow, look at them all!" Tina notices.
Tina points out that some of the nearby exam takers are intensely preparing last minute for the exams.
"They've all got their noses to the grindstone." Lita comments.
"I really can't relate." Raye says.
"They're just trying to improve their chances of getting scholarships to the best universities so they can have a shot at great careers." Amy explains.
"It must be tough for them. Having to study day in and day out just to have opportunities to make it big in life through academics." Thomas says.
"I've heard the stress can be too much for a lot of students, especially since they risk not making it to the positions they set out to strive for." Tina frowns.
"All of this while still being in high school? I'll never get anywhere. I'm doomed for failure, even without trying!" Serena sighs.
"Come now, Serena, no surrendering to despair. If you put your heart into anything you love, just as much as you do when becoming Sailor Moon, there isn't anything you can't achieve!" Tina supports.
"You think so?" Serena wonders.
"Well that, and... if you actually bothered taking your studies seriously." Raye points out.
"I did study seriously, Raye! ... Once... for apple pie Rini made for me." Serena pouts.
"Then, I guess food would be your ultimate motivation for good grades, Serena?" Thomas remarks.
Amy, Lita, and Mina laugh at Thomas's joke, agreeing with him. Serena sweatdrops of embarrassment in truth to Thomas's words.
Byruit, going under the alias name of Julie Budou, approaches Amy.
"Excuse me, Miss Amy Mizuno?" Julie speaks.
"Huh?" Amy and the others turn to see Julie.
"Ohh, great! I thought I would probably bump into you here. I've heard such great things about you, I've been bugging to meet you." Julie says.
"And you would be...?" Amy asks.
"I'm Julie. In the last round of exams, you and I tied for first place." Julie introduces.
"Whaaaaaaat? You're Julie Budou?" Serena exclaims.
"Yes. And you are?" Julie asks.
"Trust me. Do you really want to know?" Serena questions.
"Of course I want to. You're probably a pretty cool person if you're a friend of Amy. So, you have a best subject?" Julie asks.
"I'm told it's sleeping, but I think it's eating." Serena answers.
The others sweatdrop of embarrassment of Serena's answer.
"It's that seriously her answer?" Thomas whispers.
"That's Serena for ya." Tina whispers.
"That's funny... NOT!" Julie says. "Amy, if you're not doing anything right now, there's something you might want to see. Come and I'll show you."
Julie grabs Amy's hands and brings her off to show her something.
"Okay. See you guys." Amy says.
"Well, excuse me Miss 'I get good grades'... What are we, last year's fashions?" Serena argues.
"Never mind. Let's just split up and check things out ourselves." Mina suggests.
"Yeah. Let's do this, girls!" Thomas says.
They all spread out and begin their investigations.
Meanwhile, in a classroom full of students, Amara and Michelle are standing near a window.
"The sea is roaring. Darkness is coming, I'm sure." Michelle senses.
"Can you feel what it is, Michelle?" Amara asks.
"Not really. It sure is haunting me, though." Michelle says.
"I bet if these walls can talk, they would echo with words of negativity, and other shameful, no good deeds that shouldn't exist in any school or this good world." Amara describes.
"Should we search that basement room again while we're here?" Michelle asks.
"Yeah. I feel this time, the evil will finally be revealed." Amara thinks.
"Mmhmm." Michelle nods in agreement.
In a laboratory, Julie shows Amy a sphere in a machine covered in white mist. If you look inside of the mist, you can see what appears to be a planet covered in grass, with red and blue energy surrounding it.
"What is it?" Amy asks.
"It's a replica of the town nebula." Julie answers
"The town nebula?" Amy wonders.
"Dark and lovely, isn't it?" Julie says.
"I guess." Amy says.
Julie describes, "It's a little like a telescope. When you look into it, you think you're accessing another galaxy. We made it here in science club. Mugen is such a great school. You should try to get in! We specialize in five courses: Philosophy, Drama, Math, Physics, and Chemistry. The best thing is that students with top marks get to teach the classes!"
"HUH? Students actually get to teach a class here?" Amy exclaims.
"With the supervision of a professor, of course." Julie clarifies. "It teaches us great leadership skills."
"But... just because a student has really good grades, it doesn't mean she can teach." Amy disagrees.
"Ohh, no?" Julie raises an eyebrow.
"A good leader is someone who encourages fellow students to excel, not someone who rubs their noses in it! That is totally uncool." Amy argues.
Julie laughs, "Hahahahaha! You're naive. You're making an emotional argument about learning, which is crazy, especially when it comes to science."
"You're wrong about that, too! Science isn't just about theory, it has to mean something." Amy says.
"Ohh, please. Listen to yourself. A top scorer on national examination..." Julie mocks.
The school's bells ring across the building.
"I thought we could be friends... but guess I thought wrong. Time for the exams. See you later, softy. Don't emote too much on the test. Hahahaha..." Julie says, making her leave.
Amy shows a serious expression on her face. Afterwards, though, she returns to taking a close look at the inside of the sphere.
Dr. Tomoe and Kaorinite take a look at Amy, thinking that they might know her.
"Tell me, Kaorinite... don't we know that girl?" Dr. Tomoe ponders.
"Her uniform is familiar..." Kaorinite wonders.
"It's not impossible to think that she could be a sailor scout!" Byruit appears to them once again. "It's good that I'm in charge of science class, cause I'll try and reveal the truth about Miss Brainy Amy! Just leave this whole mess to me, doctor!"
"You're in over your head!" Kaorinite argues.
Byruit pushes Kaorinite out of the way to bow to the doctor.
"Be quiet! You're just jealous!" Byruit then turns to Dr. Tomoe. "I want to make one thing clear. This operation is my plan and I won't let some sniveling little sailor scouts or those so-called Ultimate Lifeforms get in my way! This is the best opportunity we've had to collect so many pure hearts, but there's a glitch... due to someone slacking off!"
"How dare you?" Kaorinite yells.
"Put a sock in it!" Byruit expresses. She then shows the doctor a device in her arm, the Nanocuff. "The only thing I can rely on is my Nanocuff. It carries out my commands by reading signals it gets... when my pulse changes. It's a little like a mood bracelet. Hahaha! Watch!"
By changing her pulse, she is able to power on the Master Computer of the Mugen School.
"Ahhhh!" Dr. Tomoe expresses with joy.
"The Master Computer has been activated. We can start anytime." Byruit informs.
"Excellent work, Byruit. I have total confidence in you." Dr. Tomoe compliments.
"Thank you." Byruit bows before taking her leave.
Kaorinite gets up and makes an upsetting face over Byruit, who stops for a moment to mock Kaorinite some more.
"What's the matter? Haven't you got something to do, Kaorinite? When you're done flirting, there's always trash to take out. Maybe that's a good job for you." Byruit mocks.
Byruit walks away, leaving Kaorinite seething with anger over Byruit.
"Something wrong, Kaorinite?" Dr. Tomoe notices.
"Ohhh, nothing!" Kaorinite recovers and informs.
Byruit gets into position to begin her heart snatching operation using her Nanocuff.
'The students are well settled into their exams, now. Come on, Nano, it's time to suck the pure hearts out of them.' Byruit feels.
The Master Computer is empowered and controlled as part of Byruit's ability. The students have begun their exams on their computers. Thomas takes a peek at one of the rooms to see how things are going for them.
"Well, examination pressures aside, looks like things are going well for the students." Thomas sees.
But in only just a few moments later does it change instantly. Screams of the students are heard as their hearts quickly leave their bodies.
"What the...? Their pure hearts!" Thomas gasps.
'Sacrifice your pure hearts for the Sovereign of Silence!' Byruit expresses in her head.
The pure hearts transfer into the computers, which connects to the master computer.
"... To think that they could so easy take everyone's pure hearts. This must be their home base! Time to go to work!" Thomas exclaims.
Thomas presses a button on his special watch, allowing him to transform into Ethan.
"If I had to assume, there's probably some kind of master computer that controls all of the other computers. I'll need to find it and put a stop to it!" Ethan formulates.
Ethan makes his move out of the classroom.
'I should inform the others about this, so they can start looking for the master computer, too.' Ethan thinks in his head.
Amara and Michelle run towards the basement room, heading down multiple cases of stairs along the way.
"Come on, let's hurry!" Amara says.
"You sure you know where to go?" Michelle asks.
"I'm following my guts, Michelle!" Amara says.
"Well, mine are following yours." Michelle says.
They pass through several signs that says 'Underground Laboratory' and 'Entry Prohibited.'
"The science club's this way." Amara points.
They make it to the door to the science club.
"Hope my master pass works." Amara swipes her master pass into the card reader.
With the card accepted, the door opens.
"Bingo!" Amara nods.
Through a dark room, they feel a chilling air coming out of it.
"Did you feel that sudden chill?" Michelle asks.
"Yes." Amara confirms.
"The sea is roaring in my eyes." Michelle senses.
"Could it be...?" Amara wonders.
The two gasp as they spot Hotaru, currently residing and pulsing as the Sovereign of Silence.
"The Sovereign of Silence!" Michelle exclaims.
"Right there in the flesh!" Amara exclaims.
"What do we do, Amara?" Michelle asks.
"We made a vow with Thomas not to just go head first and kill Hotaru. But... how are we supposed to deal with the Sovereign?" Amara ponders.
"You guys!" Amy calls.
"Huh?" Amara and Michelle turn around to see Amy right behind them.
"Amy? What are you doing here?" Michelle asks.
"I saw you two running as I was making my way back to take the exams. So, I followed you. And... ahhhh! Is that Hotaru?" Amy notices.
"Yeah. But right now... the Sovereign of Silence is taking over. We can feel that eerie pulse of energy and that chill down our spines." Amara describes.
Amy runs up a bit towards the Sovereign.
"Ohh, Hotaru..." Amy says.
"We're not sure what to do. How are going to save Hotaru?" Michelle wonders.
Julie Budou makes an appearance right behind the group. The group turns to her when they hear her voice.
"How did you get in here?" Julie questions.
"Huh?" The girls reply.
"This room is for members only, and you don't qualify! Michelle Kaiou, Amara Tenou, Amy Mizuno, I know who you are. Now, let me introduce myself!" Julie reveals.
Byruit removes her disguise and reveals her true form.
"A Heart Snatcher!" Amy exclaims.
"Another one of the Witches 5, I presume?" Amara guesses.
"Heh. Mosaic... Buster!" Byruit attacks.
Byruit sends out a combination of pure electricity and nanobots to shoot down Amara and Michelle, immobilizing them.
"Amara! Michelle! Ohh no... please get up!" Amy goes down to them.
"Amy, you have to leave us. Go, get out of here!" Amara says.
"Go get help from the others!" Michelle suggests.
"Byruit, take me! I'm the one you want out of the way!" Amy calls.
"I would commend your courage, but it's your sickening sentimentality that would be your undoing. Mosaic Buster!" Byruit calls.
Byruit sends another blast of her attack to Amy, but she avoids the hit. Instead, hitting a few balloons. Upon a closer look, Hotaru/The Sovereign is currently asleep.
"You won't escape from my attack this time, Amy!" Byruit proclaims.
"Ahhhhhh!" Amy screams.
Byruit was about to send another blast of her attack, but becomes interrupted by a Flamethrower.
"Uuuuuung! Who... just...?" Byruit questions.
"Over here, Heart Snatcher!" Ethan calls.
From the doors, Ethan makes his appearance.
"Ethan!" Amy smiles.
"Ethan's here, huh?" Michelle smiles faintly.
"I couldn't be any happier right now." Amara chuckles.
"Hurting my friends, you creep? I won't stand for it! I'm Ethan, the 2nd Ultimate Lifeform! Justice will prevail over all evil! And that evil... is you!" Ethan declares.
"You just as sickening with your goody goodness as the Sailor Scouts, Saiyan! Taste my Mosaic Buster!" Byruit strikes.
She sends a burst of her attack to Ethan, who easily avoids it, leaving an afterimage. He teleports behind Byruit and strikes her with a kick, sending her flying to several boxes.
"Alright, Ethan!" Amy cheers.
The effects of the Mosaic Buster for Amara and Michelle wear off, leaving them slightly weakened.
"Amara, Michelle... you two okay?" Ethan goes to them and asks.
"Yeah. Unng... just... give us a minute." Amara pants as she and Michelle try to get up.
"Hold on, you two! Let me heal you." Ethan suggests.
"You'll pay for that, Saiyan! Yaaaaaa!" Byruit counterattacks.
She quickly sends another blast of her attack to Ethan. Being distracted by readying his Recover, he becomes hit by the Mosaic Buster, immobilizing him.
"Ohh, no! Ethan!" Amy gasps.
"Ethan!" Amara and Michelle calls out.
"This is... unnn... this is... nothing..." Ethan attempts to get up.
"I have to help Ethan! Mercury Star Power!" Amy transforms into Sailor Mercury!
Getting up from the boxes, Byruit becomes shocked upon seeing Amy's transformation. "What's this?"
"My turn for introductions. I'm a soldier of wisdom, guiding my Mercury. I'm Sailor Mercury!" Mercury declares.
"Of course. Amy Mizuno, the genius. You smelled like one of those pesky sailor scouts from the moment I met you!" Byruit growls.
"Well, la-de-da. Aren't you brilliant?" Mercury mocks.
"Mocking me, you know-it-all sailor brat? You're going to end up like your two friends and that Saiyan! Mosaic Buster!" Byruit attacks.
"Shiny Aqua Illusion!" Mercury defends.
Mercury sends her freezing water wave onto Byruit's blast, causing the nanobots to be frozen solid.
"Yeah!" Mercury cheers.
After taking a deep breath, he focuses and becomes Super Saiyan. The energy and force of the transformation is enough to rid of the nanobots that was attacking him.
"What? How did you get free so quickly?" Byruit notices.
"Underestimating the true potential of a Saiyan of any kind will cost you big time, Byruit!" Ethan proclaims.
"In that case, Saiyan, play time is over! Haaaaaa!" Byruit charges in.
Byruit moves quickly towards Ethan, seemingly attempting to clash physical strengths with him.
"Heh. You think you can overpower me?" Ethan smirks.
"I don't have to." Byruit smirks back.
"Huh?" Ethan widens his eyes.
Byruit had charged energy into her Nanocuff before going in, for the plan to attack Ethan with a charged up Mosaic Buster. Ethan becomes swarmed with more power Nanobots, making him become immobilized once again.
"But... how...?" Ethan wonders.
"My Mosaic Energy Blaster has much more power compared to the Mosaic Buster. I've taken into account your Super Saiyan powers, and have counteracted them with Nanobots so beefed up with energy, that not even your more powerful state can withstand them. That also includes those jewels that you have inside of you as well." Byruit explains.
"D-Darn it!" Ethan curses.
"So, even Ethan's unable to... take on Byruit." Amara frowns.
"Ohh, no..." Michelle worries.
"Don't worry, Ethan, I'll save you!" Mercury prepares an Ice Beam.
"No, you won't!" Byruit shouts.
The still frozen nanobots from earlier shatter from their frozen state and strike Sailor Mercury.
"AHHHHHH!" Mercury screams, as she falls to the floor in pain.
"MERCURY!" Ethan shouts in shock.
"Mercury!" Amara and Michelle gasp.
"My lovely, obedient Nanobots. They're small, yet deadly to those they feast on. With a concentrated enough blast, they dissolve the bodies of those they attack. Soon, you and Ethan will be nothing, only leaving your precious, sweet pure hearts for the taking! Hahahaha!" Byruit laughs.
Mercury falls to the ground in pain, unable to move.
"First I'll take your heart, Amy Mizuno, then the Saiyan's heart will be next!" Byruit exclaims.
Something deep inside Ethan begins to bubble up, as he struggles in his mind that one of his closest friends, his family, could die in mere minutes.
The other Scouts arrive for backup, but before they give their speech, they gasp, as Jupiter points out Ethan.
"Guys, look at Ethan!" Venus points.
"Ohh no, he's hurt, too!" Heart worries.
"Wait... I, I feel something from him." Jupiter senses.
"What's happening?" Mars wonders.
'Can it really be...?' Jupiter thinks.
Blue electric sparks form around Ethan's body, as his energy levels rise rapidly.
"What's going on with Ethan?" Amara wonders.
"... What is happening?" Byruit questions.
A flashback begins. Lita sees Ethan, who is in his normal state, having the blue electrical arcs and the golden aura also grown in size. It expresses a more fierce state compared to the other experimental Super Saiyan stages at the time.
"It's incredible, Ethan! You didn't have those electrical sparks around your body when you became Ascended Super Saiyan or Ultra Super Saiyan." Lita recalled.
"It is different compared to those two forms. This one... feels closest to my normal Super Saiyan form, only stronger and without any immediate drawbacks." Ethan sensed.
"Wow! Are you going to use it?" Jupiter asked.
The power of his new state dissipated.
"I can't. The real issue is that it uses up far too much energy to maintain for very long. And besides, I still have yet to master my original Super Saiyan power." Ethan realized.
"Do you think there will come a time when you will be able to use that power?" Lita asked
"When I have mastered my original Super Saiyan and when I grow even stronger, myself. And only then... just like my first Super Saiyan form, probably out of an emotional trigger." Ethan figured.
The flashback ends. A voice in Ethan's head rings inside of him, remembering the words of Maria before she sent Ethan and Shadow away with her sacrifice.
"Shadow, Ethan... I beg of you... please, do it for me... for a better future..." Maria's voice echoed in his past. He then gets a new kind of vision in his head, one that feels like Maria, now, is speaking to him. "Just... let it go... and protect the world I love very much."
Ethan screams, shaking the entire room with ferocity. Everyone becomes shocked by such intense power. And somehow, Hotaru/The Sovereign is still snoozing.
Ethan transforms once more. With blue electrical arcs surrounding his entire body, and aura that is bigger and more fierce, even the more powerful Nanobots stood no chance at withstanding his new state, Super Saiyan 2!
Everyone who sees Ethan becomes surprised by his new powered up state.
"Ethan..." Heart wonders.
"He looks so... fierce." Moon describes.
"He finally did it. He really, actually did it!" Jupiter cheers.
"Did what?" Heart asks.
"There was one form that Ethan briefly made when he was experimenting with his Super Saiyan states at the time. I didn't want to tell you guys at the time, cause I was waiting until he actually needed to use it, and when he could use it." Jupiter explains.
"Could use what?" Mars asks.
"Super Saiyan 2!" Jupiter names.
"A higher Super Saiyan state?" Heart gasps.
"No... it can't be. How are you capable of becoming even stronger?" Byruit questions.
"Didn't I tell you about underestimating a Saiyan, Byruit?" Ethan reminds.
"Ggggh..." Byruit struggles.
"I regret ever defying Ethan, now." Amara admits.
"I wonder what this will mean for your rivalry." Michelle chuckles.
"Yeah..." Amara wonders as well.
"Now, I have to deal with this blasted Saiyan, again? Can it get any worse?" Byruit freaks out.
"You bet it can, you science shrewd!" Moon calls.
"NOOOOOO!" Byruit shouts, realizing that the other scouts have arrived.
"You can you think wipe out our closest and dearest for your own selfish games? You better think again! Cause I'm not gonna let you get away with it!" Moon declares.
"We are the Sailor Scouts. And your trouble meter has just... skyrocketed!" Heart declares.
"Ready to give up, yet?" Ethan asks.
"Give up? Hmph. Not on your life, Saiyan." Byruit denies.
Ethan charges, "Then here I co-"
"Hold it!" Byruit interrupts.
"Huh?" Ethan wonders.
"Make one step closer, Saiyan, and Mercury's gonna get dissolved." Byruit threatens.
"Tch..." Ethan has no choice but to stay put.
"Ohh, no... Ethan!" Heart worries.
"Heh heh... Mosaic... Buster!" Byruit decides to attack the scouts several times. But, they all dodge each attack coming to them.
'I can't do anything from here, but Amara and Michelle can. All I need to do... is transfer my energy to them. And with this new power... I can transfer from a distance.' Ethan closes his eyes and concentrates.
Ethan transfers only a bit of his new power to Amara and Michelle, who rapidly recover from their attack earlier.
"Can you feel it, Amara? Ethan's power..." Michelle senses.
"His power is outstanding. I feel like I can take on the world!" Amara pumps up.
'Go get her, you two!' Ethan smiles.
"Uranus Star Power!" Amara transforms into Sailor Uranus.
"Neptune Star Power!" Michelle transforms into Sailor Neptune.
"Huh?" Byruit senses a power surge, and sees that the two have also become sailor scouts.
Uranus and Neptune hold one of their hands together and brings their other hands close to each other. They combine their planet powered abilities together.
"Deep Worlds Collide!" Uranus and Neptune attack.
They send out a large, platinum colored planet attack with two rings on it.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Byruit screams, taking major damage.
Ethan quickly teleports to Mercury and uses his chi to release the nanobots that were enveloping her.
"Th-thank you... Ethan." Mercury smiles and pants.
"Glad you're okay, Mercury." Ethan smiles and nods. Mercury nods back at her.
Ethan teleports over to the scouts.
"You just keep getting stronger and better, my love!" Heart infatuates.
"It was you all that helped me even be able to achieve this incredible power. That, and... a bit of help from Maria." Ethan smiles.
"Maria?" Heart wonders.
"Sailor Moon, Sailor Heart. Turn Super. We're going to show Byruit what our ultimate combination's full potential is really like!" Ethan expresses.
"Yeah!" Heart pumps up.
"It would be my pleasure, Ethan!" Moon agrees.
"Heart Elegant Power!" Sailor Heart becomes Super charged.
"Moon Cosmic Power!" Sailor Moon also become Super powered.
Super Sailor Moon charges love energy into her scepter. Super Sailor Heart charges lots of energy into her hands as a double rainbow appears for her. Super Saiyan 2 Ethan's energy levels spike up, his body glows gold, and an indigo ball with a gold hue forms on his hands.
"Galactic Rainbow Annihilation!" The three shout out.
The three super attacks fire and combine to form a giant Platinum colored super beam with a heart induced aura.
"Noooooooo! Nano, dissolve those Heroes." Byruit commands.
Byruit uses her Mosaic Energy Blaster to try and counteract. But, the sheer overwhelming power from the three attacks dissolves the nanobots instantly, and she becomes outpowered by the three's combined power.
"AHHHHHHHHHH..." Byruit falls to the ground in serious pain.
Her Nanocuff breaks, forcing the super computer to become destroyed and releasing the captive pure hearts back into their owners. The students wake up from their unconscious states.
"It's over. Byruit has failed." Dr. Tomoe notices.
"The pure hearts are gone." Kaorinite adds. She then smirks, expressing a hidden joy to Byruit's demise after how much she has talked back at her. 'Serves her right. So arrogant...'
'Those Sailors and that Saiyan have ruined my plans for the last time.' Dr. Tomoe thinks.
With the numerous nanobots having nowhere to go, they begin dissolving on Byruit.
"Nano... what are you doing? Stooop! Ahhhhhhh! Your target's not meeeeee! Whyyyyyyy?" Byruit struggles.
"It's your super logical computer, created without love, that has ended up betraying you." Mercury states.
The nanobots quickly dissolve Byruit, being destroyed by her own creation. Her broken Nanocuff is the only thing remains. Sailor Mercury picks it up.
"Science gets you nowhere, unless it's for the love of mankind. Too bad she never learned that." Mercury states, as the Nanocuff turns into dust.
Ethan, unable to retain his Super Saiyan 2 state for long, returns back to his normal form and becomes exhausted.
"Ethan!" Super Heart notices.
"Whew. Just as I thought that would happen. Super Saiyan 2 takes up way more energy... even compared to when I first awakened my original Super Saiyan form." Ethan figures.
"Well, guess you have more training to do, huh?" Jupiter smiles.
"Haha! You know it!" Ethan gives a thumbs up.
Suddenly, a surge of energy rises in the throne of the Sovereign, as she wakes and floats the throne in the air. The other notice and turn to her.
"It's the Sovereign of Silence!" Uranus calls.
"Hotaru!" Super Heart calls.
"Let this be a warning to you, Saiyan, Sailor Scouts. The battle has only just begun! Hahahahahahaha!" The Sovereign crackles.
She disappears in a dark vortex.
"HOTARU!" Super Moon shouts.
Still sitting outside of Hotaru's house in the falling snow, Shadow finishes his story with him, Hotaru, and Thomas in the Space Colony ARK. Darien and Trista, holding an umbrella, approach the two, and was about to confront them out of worry for Rini.
"Hahaha! A whole space station. I wonder what it's like... looking up from outer space!" Rini dreams.
The two stop when they hear Rini's voice.
"It's something not many people get to experience. I'll take you there one day, Rini." Shadow hopes.
"You promise?" Rini asks.
"I always keep my promises." Shadow nods.
"In that case, I want the four of us to go there next time." Rini hopes.
"The four of us?" Shadow wonders.
Rini lays her head down at his arm. "Me, you, Tina... and Hotaru, when we finally get her back."
Shadow briefly looks at Rini, believing so hard that Hotaru will come back to them. Thinking of how to correctly put it, he says, "Only if we can get her back... can I promise that."
"... If?" Rini says with a worried tone.
Shadow smiles at her, then says, "No matter what it takes, though, we will get her back!"
"Thank you... Shadow." Rini smiles warmly.
Darien and Trista stay where they are, giving a positive look of each other, and allows them to stay like that for a while longer.
The next day, the gang meets up with Amara and Michelle, who called them up to meet up.
"What's up, you two?" Thomas asks.
After a moment of silence, Amara speaks, "Amy, Thomas... thank you. Your bravery and your tenacity to never give up has saved our lives."
"I'm just glad you decided not to try and take out Hotaru." Amy says.
"So, does this mean that you've made your decision?" Tina wonders.
"Yes. We want to help you bring Hotaru back." Michelle nods.
"Really?" Serena gasps.
"Michelle and I had no clue on what to do when we encountered the Sovereign. And... when we saw you convert Mimet and release her darkness from within, it's then that we saw that... you are capable of helping Hotaru, moon fa- uhh, sorry, I mean Serena." Amara corrects.
"Additionally, while you do not possess the ability of using the unlimited power of the Purity Chalice, you have basically mastered much of its capabilities by this point." Michelle notices.
"Who knows, maybe Serena could potentially tap into its true form." Thomas guesses.
"Anything's possible when it comes to Sailor Moon!" Amy assures.
"I hope so..." Serena smiles. "We'll need it if we're going to bring Hotaru back."
"This is great to hear, you two. I can't wait to let Shadow and Rini know that you are fully on our side!" Tina smiles.
"You all mean a lot to us, and we never wanted to abandon the times we had together. We treasured those precious memories we had with you all, but we let our pride and our unwillingness to change... take over putting our trusts within you." Michelle frowns.
"If would be nice if we could hang out some more, as friends. And even as family with you, Thomas." Amara smiles.
"Great! Ohh, but... I kind of want to have Trista be a part of it, too!" Thomas desires.
"Trista?" Amara blinks.
"Hahaha! I'm sure she'll be all aboard on it!" Michelle laughs.
"Welcome back to our family, you two. Let's hope we never break apart, again." Serena smiles.
Serena holds out a hand to Amara. After staring at it for a few seconds, Amara takes her hand and holds it.
"Same here." Amara agrees.
Michelle nods in agreement. With that, the entire group has now come together, ready to take on the Sovereign and Dr. Tomoe.
Ethan: Alright! Good to have the whole gang on board once again!

Ethan: Well, what comes next is the beginning of the end. See you all then.
