Chapter 32: Theories and Side Effects
"Midoriya, Shinsou," Aizawa called. "Please wait after class."
Izuku and Hitoshi looked at each other in confusion while their friends looked on in worry. They didn't remember doing anything to get in trouble... Did they accidentally turn in an assignment written in Latin?
Izuku and Hitoshi waited for the class to while out on edge. Aizawa looked unnaturally serious; the tiredness that usually clouded his face missing.
"What's wrong, sensei," Izuku asked when the last person had left the room. "Are we in trouble for something?"
"No," Aizawa and shortly. "But, we're going to have to have a serious discussion."
The two teens tensed, and William came closer to the surface; his thoughts were restless and his fingers continued to twitch.
"Why," Izuku asked, tone casual yet cautious.
"We're still waiting for somebody," Aizawa said. "He's planning to meet us at your apartment."
"And," Izuku asked, now genuinely worried. "Why?!"
"Midoriya," the underground hero said. "I know you and Shinsou are hiding something. Allmight said he told you to come talk to me. I was going to wait, but recent events convinced me otherwise."
Izuku narrowed his eyes and took a deep breath. How dare he! This was none of his business!
"It's not school related...,sir," Izuku said firmly, with forced politeness.
"But, it could effect my students," the raven haired man said just as firmly. "I think I need to know."
"What he needs to do is to keep his nose out of our business," Springtrap said with a derisive snort.
"Hush," William said with a small, amused smirk—but he didn't disagree.
Izuku just clicked his tongue, annoyed at the whole situation.
"Will," he asked.
"We'll listen to his questions," the purple haired man said after a moment of though. "No need to make the man more suspicions. Besides, listening doesn't mean we have to answer."
"Fine," he ground out, mentally sending his agreement to William's previous statement, and the pro smirked.
"Zuku," Hitoshi whispered, confused with his friend's sudden agreement.
Izuku gave him a look that said to drop it for now, and he'd explain later. The violet haired teen sighed, wishing he could be apart of the three's silent discussions, but nodded in understanding.
"Hopefully William can handle it," the teen thought.
"Now that we're all on the same page, let's go," the underground hero said.
The two tensed, but nodded.
"Good," Aizawa drawled. "Mic's driving us. Follow me."
The two dual haired teens looked at each other, but followed their sensei out.
William was in the back of Izuku's mind, watching just in case.
Contrasting the typical setting these events would have caused, Present Mic smiled and joked with the teens for the whole drive. He even teased Eraserhead, much to their sensei's consternation. And, seeing how comfortable it made them—to the voice hero's confusion—he constantly spoke in English.
This confused the underground hero, and he struggled some to keep up with the conversation. Thankfully, he's been friends with Yamada since they were in school, and the blonde voice hero forced him to help him practice and learn the language. However, this just added another question to his—frustratingly—growing list.
Despite the light hearted conversation, the two dual haired teens refused to let down their guards. Oh, they played along, sure, but they refused to let anything slip until they had all the information they needed.
William was proud of this paranoia that the two have cultivated. It would end up keeping them alive.
And, from what he could see, the underground voice hero was studying them through the rear view mirror. For all the respect that he had for the man, he wanted to be able to glare the man to submission now. Maybe even release his toxic tongue.
It was with bitter sweet relief that they said good-bye to Present Mic. They almost wanted him to stay to help keep the tension defused. However, they didn't want any more people in on their secrets as it was, and the voice hero needed to stop by his studio before his patrol.
Izuku sighed as the voice hero drove off.
"Come on, brat," William said. "Let's just get this over with."
Izuku drew back his shoulders and sent Hitoshi a held tilt. He could see the violet eyed boy gathering himself too.
Without any words, they both turned to head up the stairs. They both hoped that Inko would be at work. Most likely, William would have to take control of this conversation, once again. And, while she was comfortable with him now—if not Spring; they didn't want her to see William verbally spar with a pro hero.
"Zuku, Toshi," Cipher yelled as he zoomed over to the two teens, causing Aizawa to activate his quirk in surprise. "You're home!"
However, Izuku couldn't hear the small bunny. His heart was beating widly, and, to his immense horror, he felt springlocks going off. The green and purple haired boy screamed in agony as he fell to his knees.
Springlocks were tearing through his stomach and sternum, blood was flooding his lungs, and he couldn't breathe.
He reached out for William, but nobody came.
He reached out to Springtrap, but nobody came.
Why weren't they answering?!

"Izuku," Hitoshi yelled as soon as the first cry of pain left his friend's lips.
The violet eyed boy panicked further when Izuku fell to his knees.
What was going on?!
He turned to look at his sensei for direction—the only adult in the house at the moment—and he noticed the red eyes and floating hair.
Hitoshi immediately felt cold. Ever since the first day of class, the four of them theorized what would happen if Izuku's quirk got erased. It wasn't a normal quirk, and how it developed was even unnaturally strange as well.
Now they knew.
"Stop," the violet haired boy whispered at first, until he just up and yelled at the pro. "Stop! You're hurting him!"
The underground hero's eyes widened in horror as he immediately shut off his quirk.
"Zuku," Cipher yelled as he ran to the downed teen, and Hitoshi followed the little bunny's example.
Izuku's eyes were distant, and he was panting as he held his chest.
"Zuku," Hitoshi whispered as he knelt next to his friend. "Are you okay?"
However, Izuku didn't answer.
"Izuku," Hitoshi asked again weakly.

William was panicking from the mindscape. His connection to Izuku was just cut.
The connection to his brat was cut and he was being springlocked. Again!
William repeatedly beat on the blocked connection yelling for Izuku, and then he yelled expletives when nothing he did worked.
Springtrap wasn't much better. In fact, it could be argued that his state was worse. He was back to his rage induced haze as he clawed at the block. His eyes were glowing a vicious red, and the anthropomorphic bunny was snarling threats at the man who unknowingly put them in this situation.
If William wasn't so ticked off at the man himself, he'd pity the underground hero.
"I'm going to kill him," Springtrap hissed, voice deathly low. "I'm going to rip those eyes of his from his head and make him eat them!"
"We'll discuss this later," William said, eyes and voice full of dark promises. "Right now, we need to worry about getting to Izuku!"
Then, the barrier broke, and William didn't even wait to sigh in relief; he just immediately pulled his brat into the mindscape.
"Watch him," William ordered as he took the reigns; wishing he could be with his brat as well, but knowing that he needed to deal with Aizawa.
"Give the man hell, Will," the humanoid rabbit ordered.
William's smirk sent shivers of fear and excitement up Spring's spine.
This will be good.
