Ezra has never been a good sleeper. Like you've seen, even before he was born, baby kept his poor mom awake. Now, that's not to say that he necessarily cries more at night than usual, but he's one of those babies who are wide awake at like two in the morning, vibing. Needless to say, Pixal and Zane are very tired.

Before Maya goes to bed every night, Skylor makes her a cup of strawberry milk while she has a video call with Kai. He blows her a kiss through the camera every night before he says goodbye.

Emma has a comfort item that she sleeps with every night. Mr. Cuddlywump the II, maybe?

Nighttime is really a time to unwind for Cole and his daughters. Sometimes they ask for braids, so he combs their hair so gently. On the weekends, Cole lets them pick out a movie to watch, and he doesn't mind if it's the same princess movie each time.

In the days after Emma is born, she is dressed in a onesie with ladybugs on it. Echo gleefully tells her while holding her that he will call her "Bug." Jay eventually tags on, calling her his lightning bug.

Before they leave, Cole always gives his daughters a hug and a kiss.

Jay collapses immediately after his daughter is born, of course, after stepping out of the room. Cole slaps him out of it. Literally.

In conversations behind closed doors, Dr. Julien attempts to talk Pixal and Zane into giving up the baby for adoption. Zane's horrified that his father would suggest a thing, especially in front of Pixal. She's left speechless at the suggestion, especially with the sort of guilt-baiting he's doing behind the scene.

"You're a nice girl, Pixal. Very smart. And I know this was never in your plans. But you have to think logically, here. This isn't just about the interests of Zane, but the interests of you, and this child."

"I-"

Cole's daughters adore Zane. Here's a snippet from the valentine's drabble I'm writing.

"Zane's here! He's here! He's here!" Cole heard Nina yell as she ran to the front door. At the sudden exclamation, Eleni, who was sitting by the Cole at the kitchen counter, pushed herself off the seat, following Nina to the door in similar fashion.

Cole chuckled, before following her out of the kitchen. They were twisting and untwisting the lock in an attempt to open the front door.

"Girls, girls, let me get the door."

Edna is absolutely one of those grandmothers that at the first news of the baby, they immediately begin knitting. Emma was always bundled up in knit hats, and had a couple of handmade baby blankets in nice pastel colors.

I'm not sure how, but I'd like to think that the rest of the ninja found out that Skylor was having a baby in a pretty (random?) (unexpected?) moment.

Zane is such a sweetheart. Pixal ends up going into labor two weeks early, and Zane does everything he can in his power to support her. He whispered encouraging words in her ear, rubbed her back as labor began to grow more intense, and was there for her to hold on to as strong contractions racked her body. He wiped away stray tears, breathing with her. And while she brought their child into the world, he never once let go of her hand.

I think that there are several times where Jay reverts back to a kid while he's playing with, doing something fun with his daughter. Like, I can see Nya constantly calling out, saying, "Jay! Watch your daughter!" While he's like, rolling down a grassy hill for fun or something like that.

Highkey think Ezra is the one that begins to call Christopher "Cryptor". Syllables are hard for toddlers!

You already know Nina and Eleni would be the flowergirls at Zane and Cole's wedding.

Poor Chris, is made victim to many of Pixal's late night craving runs.

"Chris. Psssssst. Chris!"

The door creaked open, and while he definitely heard it, he pretended not to. He actually liked sleeping ay ungodly hours of the night.

Given no further response from Pixal, he believed he had won. ...Until he heard her step closer to the bed, and indent as she sat down.

"What?" He groaned.

"Can you please take me to go get some chocolate?"

"Okay, tomorrow. a-after school." He said, a yawn escaping past his lips.

"Come on, it's for the baby."

He sat up. "No it's not, it's for you!"

Pixal squinted at him.

Unfazed, he buried his head back into the pillow.

"...Okay I'm taking the car. Bye!"

He sits up so fast it gives him whiplash. "Okay, okay! I'll take you."

Oh Maya, her hair is so pretty. But of course, it's about extremely finnicky as Kai's. She always wakes up with such an impressive bedhead.

Biggest puppy eyes user? Emma. Combined with Echo, those two are practically never told no.

I know I said Ezra is a bad sleeper. But he is the most likely to wake up at night, sneaking snuggles in his parents' bed and sleep with them instead.

Picture this: When Pixal has a test coming up, Zane takes it upon himself to take Ezra out of the house, and together they go to the park and feed the ducks.

Cole is totally one of those dads that lets their daughters paint his nails / do his hair.

Emma wanting to make pillow forts turns into such a grand affair back at the monastery. It eventually becomes an impromptu movie night with all the ninja.

Sadly, not everything is happy for the child of an active ninja. Emma is seven years old the first time she sees her dad return badly injured. Maya has nightmares about Kai getting hurt.

Cole. He has to do the silly voices while reading at bedtime for the girls. Always.

Jay. Master class engineer when it comes to building/designing vehicles. But for some reason, has a very very difficult time putting together a crib.

Kai. Probably one of the most protective dads around.

Zane. He feels so incredibly proud of his son in the first few moments after he's born.

Sorry if my thoughts are kind of all over the place lol. I felt like talking again haha. I've been super busy with school, although I really want to get the valentines' drabble and a couple others out as soon as possible. Thank you all so much for reading! I'll be back!
