Anakin and Ahsoka; Jor; Temas; and Voax (however alive his heart and mind were), trudged rapidly through the forest to get to Phellar.

Anakin did not speak to Ahsoka at all. In fact, he avoided looking at her entirely.

Ahsoka's stomach lurched. She envied the Clone Wars. She had watched so many clones die for the cause; and fellow Jedi too; some younger than herself.

However, tragedy, one after the other seemed to be thrusting in upon the. She wondered how long she was able to lift off the end of the war: her battalion's betrayal and death, her parting with Rex to face head on, her turned master with all the hope she could muster to have him returned. But the wear was settling in upon her. She didn't know is she had it in herself to fight again; to reason with Anakin; to protect Padme.

I am only failing again and again. Anakin told me there was really a thing called luck. But I don't have it with me right now. The Jedi doesn't have it. And the galaxy doesn't have it.

They could all now sense the battle in the city.

They entered the city gate discreetly. They had to conceal the weapons now.

"Stop! Who are you?" They hear. It was a Clone.

"We're travellers," Jor replied swiftly. "We were worried for our families we left in Phellar."

"They were two Jedi involved in the failed rescue of Councillor Voax's daughter." The clone said, surveying them.

The clone turned to Voax and was startled. He had found the Councillor himself.

"Councillor Voax! Come with us immediately!" There was no sympathy or empathy in his voice or manner for Voax's loss. Just plain, cold commands.

"Oh, he's not going anywhere with you, sonny," Temas went up to the clone and said.

Before the clone could fire at him, Temas shot him down.

But he could not overcome the entire battalion who would sweep down to maul him. Anakin did that for him. In a matter of seconds, he whipped out his lightsaber and slaughtered all the clones in sight.

"Thanks," said Temas. "But we've got a bigger problem now, Jedi. Now your cover's shattered."

"Yeah," Anakin said. "Repay me the favour and rush with me to the inn – your inn." He looked at Jor. They would all move to protect Padme; if she was in any danger… she or who she was carrying.
