Lucy wasn't always the most sentimental person however after her father's passing, she found herself growing to be. When the majority of her homeroom class brought up Miss Bustier's birthday and how they all wanted to get her a gift, Lucy couldn't help but want to be a part of it. The tall ginger teacher was a beacon of kindness. Someone who you could tell took their job and the care of their students very seriously. Miss Bustier wanted nothing more than for her children to feel safe and accepted in her classroom, showing them love and structure the best way she could.

"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives." Bustier pointed to a projection of the solar system. "The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor, and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

Deciding on a gift for the woman who Lucy could almost guarantee was everyone's favorite teacher had proven to be more difficult than anticipated. She had decided on giving her a painting. Simple yet homemade, therefore meaningful. Lucy entered the school with a medium-sized, plain white box. Wrapping presents was never a skill Lucy seemed to be able to master, and instead topped it with a big pretty purple bow. As she made her way to her locker she looked around at all the gifts in her peer's hands and smiled. Everyone had come with such unique and personal ideas. A tap on her shoulder, grabbed Lucy's attention as she was brought face to face with Adrien.

"Good morning Lucy." He greeted politely.

"Mornin' Adrien."

"Is that a present for Miss Bustier?" He asked, pointing to the box in Lucy's arms.

"As a matter of fact, it is." She answers bringing the box to her chest.

"Well come on, give us a look!" Adrien said as some more classmates came closer to see. Lucy gave a playful eye roll and opened the box. Inside was a heart-shaped piece of wood that had been covered in pour paint and finished with epoxy. The lovely blues and purples swirled together and the shiny coating made a glass-like effect. Murmurs of admiration filled Lucy's ears and a slight tint of pink covered her cheeks.

"That's really pretty Lucy!" Rose complimented.

"Thank you," Lucy said closing the box.

"She's gonna love it," Adrien said, placing a hand on Lucy's shoulder. The sight of Marinette gained Adrien's attention as he asked her what her present was. If there was one thing that he was positive about, it was that whatever Marinette got for their teacher would be awesome. Marinette shyly displayed her handmade bag. It was small and pink, good for change or perhaps makeup. Embroidered into the material were the words, "If we wish to change the world, we must all learn to love each other." Something Miss Bustier had said to them at the beginning of the year.

"I also got her this lip balm in her favorite color!" Marinette said holding up the tube. The class complimented her choice in gifts and reminisced on their admiration for their literacy teacher.

"What did you get Chloe?" Adrien asked, making the rest of the students look in her direction. Chloe doesn't reply and it would seem this is a tradition because the majority of the class groaned at her in disappointment.

"Nothing," Marinette spoke. "Just like every year since kindergarten." Her tone was a spiteful one which didn't surprise Lucy. Sabrina, always quick to Chloe's defense came in front of the girl.

"It's not her fault, okay? Chloé just doesn't like birthdays! She never remembers them, just like her mom."

Ah. There is was.

Chloe looked at Sabrina, annoyed that her friend could be so dense. "Yeah, well, you don't have to tell 'em my life story, either." She pushed Sabrina back behind her. " Anyway, all that stuff about compliments and love? Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!"

"That girl has no heart," Marinette said to Alya, not quite enough for Chloe to miss.

"Uh, of course, I have a heart! Daddy will even buy me a second one if I want."

"Wow. Okay." Lucy said as the bell rang. As the rest of the students left the locker room, Chloe and Sabrina stayed behind. Sabrina warned Chloe that they would be late to class if they didn't get moving but Chloe had one thing she needed to do. Opening Marinette's locker she pulled out her gift for Miss Bustier. Taking out a sharpie, Chloe scribbled a drawing over the words stitched into the purse Marinette had made. The funny thing about being told how horrible you are all the time is that sometimes it just makes you want to show just how horrible you can be. It wouldn't fix anything. Wouldn't make anyone feel differently about her. It just embeds the information that everyone thought they already knew about Chloe. People expected her to be the bad guy, so fine, she would be the bad guy.

OoOoOoOooOoOo

When the time came, everyone walked into Miss Bustier's room, placing their gifts on the counter. The teacher was overjoyed and Lucy wondered if any of her other classes got her gifts as well. After all, she had plenty of other students. Nonetheless, everyone took their seats and Miss Bustier thanked them before reaching to open some. Marinette's gift was the first to be selected but when Miss Bustier opened up, a look of confusion came to her face. Marinette quickly made her way to the front to find her gift had been scribbled on. She didn't need to guess who had done it, and Chloe made no notion to make belief otherwise. Miss Bustier told the class to calm down not wanting her birthday to be tainted with negativity. She insisted that she liked the little purse anyway and that she would be able to think of both Marinette and Chloe when she looked at it. The ginger teacher had a kind heart. Lucy admired her for it. But her dismissal of Chloe's actions wasn't something Lucy could agree with. Then again, she supposed that Miss Bustier, much like herself knew that even if she had told Chloe what she had done was wrong, the words would fall on deaf ears. Why bother? Marinette, clearly upset by the outcome was asked to step outside with their teacher, leaving Lucy and the others to chat amongst themselves. Many of the peers threw insults Chloe's way, telling her how much of a jerk she was. Chloe looked to Adrien who sighed at her sadly, disappointed in her choices. She then turned her head to Lucy who peered down at her with a frown before looking away. Chloe glared up at her and crossed her arms.

"What? No pep talk about making better choices this time Lucy?"

Lucy scoffed and looked down at her casually. "What is it exactly that you want Chloe? Anytime I try and give you a word of advice you basically tell me to back off, but now you want me to say something? Is it an attention thing? Is that what all this is?" Lucy moved from her laid-back position and leaned forward on her desk, clasping her hands together. "Tell ya what. You do you, Chloe. You wanna be the shitty person everyone expects you to be? Then go for it. I have tried giving you the benefit of the doubt, I have tried being your friend. I have tried caring. But you make it so damn hard Chloe. I'm done going to you. You can come to me now. When you're ready to be more than the girl everybody loves to hate, you find me. Till then fuck off."

Chloe huffed and turned back around in her seat. Adrien looked back at Lucy who gave him a small shrug. Just as the class began to simmer down the door flew open and in came...Miss Bustier? Their once lively teacher now looked like some kind of...zombie-love-clown. Her skin a light Malachite green with moderate cerulean hair with a gray hue and arctic blue eyes. She wears black lipstick in a heart shape and her eyes are covered by a butterfly-shaped pink mask, curved on top and curving to point beneath the eyes. Her dress is primarily black with torn sleeves and adorned with a pink heart and a smaller black heart within it. The dress has pink puffy sleeves that feature a stapled design, like Frankenstein. She also has black leggings and black fingerless gloves that are connected to her sleeves with holes in them. Her hair is in a bun decorated with two pink hair sticks with large round ends. On her feet, she wears blue-violetish black high-heeled boots with pink shoelaces.

"Oh no..." Lucy groaned. "That can't be good." The woman Danced into the room, hopping on top of her desk in delight before looking to the class.

"I have got some great news for you, students! From now on, everyone's going to hug and kiss and feel the love! Even you, Chloé." She spoke, pointing at the blue-eyed girl.

"Me?"

Bustier places some lipstick on her lips and then blows a kiss in Chloe's direction who then used Sabrina as a human shield. Annoyed at missing her target the woman tried again but before she could send her kiss Ladybug caught the villain's arm with her yo-yo.

"Please stop Miss Bustier!" Ladybug shouted only to get a glare in return.

"I am not Miss Busier any longer! I am Zombizou!" She shouted, yanking Ladybug into the room. While she was distracted the students all hurried out of the class. As they ran down the steps, into the courtyard, Sabrina began to feel light-headed. Everyone stopped to make sure she was alright when suddenly she lounged at Chloe and tried to kiss her. Adrien pulled Chloe away and Sabrina grabbed Mylene instead. Ivan Lifted Sabrina off of his girlfriend to ask if she was okay but whatever spell had been put on Sabrina seemed to affect Mylene even faster as she too began demanding kisses.

"It's contagious! Don't let yourself be kissed!" Adrien shouted as he and the rest made their way to the next set of stairs. Ivan volunteered to hold the other two off as long as he could, leaving the rest to try and escape.

The class ran to the locker room and quickly hid inside their lockers, figuring it was their best until Ladybug could handle the situation. Within ten minutes of hiding, the heroin had made her way into the locker room, asking if anyone was there. Chloe jumped out of the locker in an attempt to hug Ladybug who startled by the blonde's sudden appearance, tossed her over and into another locker. Noticing her mistake, Ladybug apologized and helped Chloe up. The other students got out of their lockers and greeted Ladybug.

"Are you all okay?" She asked.

The students look at one another and nod but Nino looks to find Adrien is nowhere in sight.

"Uh...Adrien hasn't come out of his locker." Ladybug quickly goes over to the locker and opens it to reveal Adrien.

"Kissy boo..." He said sleepily and Ladybug quickly closed the door in a panic, alerting the other zombified students of their location. Thinking fast, Ladybug opened the window and transported the student to the roof to escape the mass that was breaking down the door.

In the locker, Adrien waited for the other to escape before Plagg floated out of his pocket.

"Just admit it. That was just a ploy to get a kiss out of Ladybug."

Adrien shook his head. "Don't be ridiculous Plagg, how else are we supposed to work under the radar?"

OoOoOoOoO

On the roof, Ladybug pulled out her communicator and watched the news. Lucy and Alya watched over her shoulder as Nadja came onto the screen.

"Yet again, it seems citizens of Paris are in great danger. Since this morning, a strange disease is spreading."

Chat Noir jumped onto the roof and greeted everyone. "Hey guys, I'm all for our French greetings, but let's hold off on the kisses for now, huh?"

Lucy rolled her eyes at him as Chat sent her a wink. Ladybug smiled. "I'm glad you're here Chat Noir, look at this." Ladybug showed him the news story where they could see people all over Paris becoming infected with Zombizou's spell. The Mayor advised everyone to stay inside only for Rodger, the police captain to tackle and infect him. Nadja calls out for the mayor when a kiss floats into the room. She attempts to escape it, waving her tablet at it but fails and is soon infected as well. Zombizou comes into frame and smiles.

" I took care of your father, Chloé. Show yourself!" Chloe, who had seen the interaction backs away from the communicator in fright. "Then, Ladybug and Cat Noir? I'm coming for you. Mwah!" A kiss covers the screen. "Unless, of course, my sweethearts get hold of you first; because very soon, the whole city will be hot on your heels!" Zombizou laughs evilly before the screen cuts out and Alix turns to Chloe in anger.

"Chloé! Hunh! Always Chloé! You only think about yourself!" She says as she back Chloe to the edge of the roof.

"I don't know why we don't just give them what they want." Suggests Alya, while Nino agrees.

"It's not my fault I am better than all of you!" Chloe argued. "Um, Lucy! Hello! Now would be a great time for one of your little maturity be the bigger person speeches!"

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Maturity is when you stop complaining and making excuses in your life; you realize everything that happens in life is a result of the previous choice you've made and start making new choices to change your life. You made your bed, now lie in it." Lucy crossed her arms. "Besides. Being the bigger person. Sometimes that just doesn't do it. Sometimes people need to let loose one good time. Maybe that will make you aware that kindness is a choice, but so is violence."

The sound of feet hitting the roof grabbed a few people's attention but most were still fixated on Chloe.

"Whoa, are you guys about to sacrifice Chloe? To zombies? Well, at least they aren't the eat your flesh kind. That would be super fucked up. These ones just make out with you. Which I'll admit is kinda gross but not as gross as watching your own intestines get ripped out am I right?"

"Tigress! So glad you could join us." Ladybug said desperately wanting her to stop giving people that the idea to shove Chloe off the roof was an okay idea. "Sorry to disappoint you guys, but Chloé doesn't deserve to get hit any more than you." Chloe crosses her arms and sends a smirk in their direction. "And we need her as bait to lure Zombizou when the time is right." Ladybug clarified, not wanting Chloe to assume she was being saved just because.

"Their coming!" Rose shouts as the Zombies begin to make their way closer to the top of the roof.

Ladybug notices a bus and quickly comes up with the idea to evacuate everyone to it. Chat jumps down and extends his staff so that everyone can use his belt to slide down to the bus from the roof. One by one the students come down. Chloe, being tossed down by Kim, came zooming down full speed ahead and right past Chat. To distract the Zombies, Chat called out to them and danced on top of a car. Rose, not able to leave Chloe dangling there, went to try and help her. Chloe fell and twisted her ankle only to blame it on Rose for not being fast enough. Zombies soon took notice of the two girls and went after them. Tigress, hearing Roses scream, used her speed to quickly get the girls onto the bus while Ladybug knocked the zombified people away with her yo-yo. Chat then joined them inside the bus and attempted to drive away. It became very obvious that Chat's driving abilities were gained from a video game and not actual behind-the-wheel experience. Tigress rolled her eyes and pulled Chat out of the driver's seat and took hold of the bus, driving them down the road.

"Where are we heading Ladybug?" Tigress asked maneuvering through the streets.

"Let's take Chloé to the top of the Eiffel Tower. There'll be fewer zombies up there, and fewer places for all of Zombizou's disciples to run to." Ladybug told her.

"Less places to hide too," Chat added.

"But it's the only way if we want Zombizou to turn up in perso—" Ladybug was cut off by Julika yelling as she backed away from Rose who had been infected. Chloe runs to the front of the bus, Alix getting in front of Rose to hold her off.

"I totally trust you Ladybug!" She said in her sacrifice.

"People need to stop invading my personal space!" Shouted Chloe, earning a huff from the others. Tigress pulled up to the tower and Chat lifted Chloe into his arms.

"Stay together and follow me!" He shouted, running out to the entrance. Nino, Alya, Lucy, and Tigress followed while Ladybug trapped Julika, Rose, and Alix inside the bus. Once inside Alya called for the elevator only to be pounced on as soon as the doors opened. Nino and Tigress pulled the zombies off Alya, but the damage was done. Chat got into the elevator with Chloe and insisted the others follow. They couldn't help Alya.

"He's right." Alya agreed, looking at Ladybug. "Go save us all."

Tigress growled and shoved Lucy in the Elevator, Ladybug jumping in as well. She reached for Nino who simply tipped his hat at her. The doors shut and Ladybug looked to Tigress who also stood outside the elevator. She gave Ladybug a wink before getting into a fighting stance as the four others lifted.

"Not big on following your survival instincts are ya?" Tigress commented to Nino who gave her a small smile.

"This isn't the first time we've been in trouble together."

As Alya turned, Nino welcomed her with open arms and if Tigress had less faith in Ladybug and Chat Noir, it might have made her tear up. There was no time for that now though. Instead, she continued to toss people away until she could no longer.

OoOoOoO

Ladybug punched the elevator door, aggravated by her inability to keep her friends safe. Lucy placed a hand on her shoulder in comfort as Chat attempted to remind her that all of this was only temporary. She would save everyone in the end.

"Only the best remain," Chloe spoke in Chats arms, getting a scowl from Ladybug. The doors opened and Ladybug quickly told them all to head to office. Unfortunatly, as Ladybug jumped and avoided the zombified people, Chat, Chloe, and Lucy were less lucky. Chat alerted Ladybug as he tossed Chloe to her before getting swarmed by Zombies. Ladybug quickly brought Chloe inside the office and went back to try and help her commerade and Lucy, but it was too late. She watched as Lucy fell to the floor in front of Chat as he extended his staff to try and hold off the zombies.

"Chat no!"

"I'll stay here and chill M'lady, don't worry. Get Lucy out of here and-"

"More like get Chloe out of here." Lucy said standing, showing the kiss mark on her arm.

"You're the only one who can fix this, don't argue just go!" Chat demanded. Ladybug gave a nod and headed inside.

Lucy walked in front of Chat and placed a hand on his cheek which he leaned into.

"Never thought I would find myself on the verge of becoming a mindless Zombie." She spoke, her thumb caressing a part of Chats cheek where a lip mark was found.

"We'll for what it's worth, there is no one Id rather loose my mind with than you." Chat watched Lucy smile and close her eyes before placing her forehead against his. When she lifted it, and opened her eyes, her seafoam hues became tinted pink. The mass behind him, became too much to hold any longer and Chat excepted his fate, falling into Lucy as he did so.

OoOoOo

When Lucy opened her eyes, she as always felt dazed. The sound of a scream grabbed her attention as she watched Chloe jump away from Chat, knocking him to the ground. Lucy couldn't help but laugh as she walked over to help Chat up. As chat went to check up on Ladybug, Lucy helped up Chloe as well, leading her outside to see Miss Bustier. Chloe frowned upon hearing Miss Bustier talk about being terrible, not liking how her beloved teacher could feel guilty for hrting people when in reality it was her fault. It almost always way it seemed.

"I forgot your birthday, once again. And when I saw everyone had prepared a gift for you, I totally lost it. Because I, too, would've liked to offer you something. I'm sorry, Miss Bustier." Chloe apologized. Her teacher kneeled down and smiled, telling Chloe that her words were the best possible gift. She knew how hard it was for Chloe to admit when she had done something wrong, and was overjoyed to be able to witness this stepping stone. Chloe hugged Miss Bustier back, it felt like it had been a long time since she had gotten that kind of affection from a motherly figure. Not wanting to show she cared too much, Chloe then patted her on the back.

"Uh, yeah. Okay then, we're all good."

Miss Bustier released her and like the others began to make her way to the elevator to get off the Eiffel Tower. Chloe glanced at Lucy who stood beside her with a small smirk on her lips. Crossing her arms Chloe gave her a raised eyebrow.

"What?"

"Well look at you showing personal growth." Lucy teased. Chloe rolled her eyes.

"Yeah...whatever."

OoOoOoOoO

"You really think Chloe is changing for the better?" Adrien asked Lucy, who sat on his desk as Alya and Chloe argued. Lucy gave a small shrug while tearing her eyes away from the girls and bringing them to Adrien.

"Maybe. I mean...don't expect her to suddenly be buddy buddy with anyone but..."

Marinette pulled Alya away and brought her to their seats. Chloe then quickly placed a gift on Miss Bustier's desk right before the teacher walked into the room. As Chloe made her way to her own seat, Lucy shared a small smile with Adrien before heading to her own seat as well. Miss Bustier greeted everyone and announced they would start their lesson as always, by giving a compliment to their neighbors. It's never too late to change your life for the better. You don't have to take huge steps to change your life. Making even the smallest changes to your daily routine can make a big difference in your life. Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely. You cannot change anyone, but you can be the reason someone changes.
