Part II
At first, Helga was on her way to Hillwood High to begin her senior year. She was only just a couple of days behind classes and had many more days ahead of being ridiculed. When she was close enough to see the school grounds from a distance, she chose against it and headed over to Dinoland instead.
It was a public and common area, yet still substantial enough to hide from everyone and be alone with her thousands of indignant thoughts. She hid well with the attire of a grey hoodie covering her blonde hair and wore camo pants with white sneakers. The sunglasses were a considerable bonus to cover herself. Especially since the point of the sunglasses is to hide her father's reaction to the whole situation.
Since she was seven years old, Helga has always sneaked into Dinoland. It was a significant area to spend in her earlier years, like fourth-grade when days were simpler. There was a time when she went to Dinoland and other family-like areas with Bob and Miriam, but they always focused on Olga. It was always like Helga wasn't even there at all, which was no surprise. The best times were with her friends. Playing sports in Gerald Field, the arcade, and even enjoying ice cream treats from the Jolly Olly Man. And every - single - time, he was around.
The sight of seeing fortunate families who looked cheerful spending time together doesn't make the teen felt any source of joy. Her own family neglects her. Seeing little kids eating cotton candy and running being happy meant nothing to her.
"Poor little souls. Let them have their fun," rambled Helga. "Eventually they'll get a lifetime of disappointment smacked into their faces. They're going to figure out that life is nothing but a big grim joke," she went on musing to herself.
The girl spends her day wandering around the amusement park with no type of agenda besides the desire to be alone. She would do homework to pass the time, but there's no homework to do as she kept skipping school. Helga was so confused about what to do. She wants her diploma, but does it matter? Many successful people dropped out of high school. Why can't she? Knowing Bob, he'll make it impossible. A Pataki being a whore? Sure. A Pataki that's a school drop-out? NO way that'll fly with Bob.
The next best thing she could do is run away. But to where? She barely knows the world outside of Hillwood. Maybe just live in the streets. Or even better, live in the subway and tell people "get out of my house!". She had thoughts of running away before, but it always led back to the question of where to go. The teen made a sigh. No need to mix confusion with the furious thoughts already in her head. If there was a light switch where she could just shut off the thoughts, she'd flip that switch in a heartbeat.
Helga got a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Nothing would amuse her more than relaxing in her room with the pink piece and just smoke some of her marijuana. Too bad she smoked it all and stupidly thought it would burn all the emotions away. The sooner someone implants that light switch in her head, the better.
But - the cup of soup was an acceptable alternative, and it technically was her breakfast. She enjoyed herself as the hot herbaceous and earthy taste of broccoli mixing with cheddar smacked her lips. There was a hint of bitterness, but it still satisfied her enough to enjoy. At least she felt some sort of positive emotion. But that emotion was short-lived, as the same hot treat matched the boiling rage that was inside her blood. It was not a nice combo.
What felt like an hour had passed, the teen noticed when she was wandering around the Tyranno Scare-Us Rex ride.
"Criminy..." she said to herself. The last thing she needed was memories of him driving inside her subconscious. The trip to Dinoland turned into a rotten idea. The girl couldn't catch a damn break. Everything had to remind her of him. To avoid what was flashing before her, she tightly shut her eyes for a few moments, only to open them with no success. One of her memories of him was coming back to her, and all because she had to go to Dinoland. She wanted to be in a place to have peace, but that was also impossible. She closed her eyes again tightly, only to open them again to see a now-former desired memory.
Helga and Arnold hid in the enormous area around the Tyranno Scare-Us Rex roller coaster ride. Surrounded by huge steaming volcanoes, artificial T-Rexs, Styracosaurus, Pterodactyls, and other types of dinosaurs. The area reminded the teens of being in the jungle many years back. The filling voices of families and joyful screams from the close-by roller coasters were a nice add-on to their session. Helga's ears filled with the sounds of slurping and the enjoyment of her lover.
Arnold signaled he was going to climax inside Helga's mouth. With no hesitation, she grabbed him by the hips and pulled herself in so she was at the point of deep throating. She pulled herself in even harder as fluids were going running down her throat like she was drinking straight out of a water hose. She made a few taps on his chest to make him look at her. Slipping away and making a pop sound, her blue eyes connect with his green eyes as she swallowed everything he gave her. Arnold exhaled so heavily as his pupils doubled and looked frightened, but appreciative. All Helga did was to take a deep breath after savoring his treat to her.
"You looked like you just saw God," Helga effused, looking at the eyes of her football-headed lover. Arnold glanced at Helga after that her statement.
"I think I just did..." he replied, only to have Helga snickered at such a response.
"I just need a moment, okay?" he told her while sitting down on a rock. Being too drained to even pull his jeans back up, Arnold just stared into space. Helga rolled her eyes as she wanted to continue exploring the park with him.
Helga finally snapped out of it as her hand crushed the soup cup from the irritation she was feeling from her memory. The steaming warmth of melted broccoli chucks and cheese dripping from her Ol' Betsy hand barely disturbed the girl. It was easier when she thankfully had enough napkins that came with the soup to wipe off the chucks from her now burning hand. She turned on her phone for the first time in a while. Naturally, the first thing she looks into her phone is the time.
"It's only 9:54 am?! Are you fucking kidding me?!" she thought to herself and thought about how only second-period classes have ended. She couldn't believe how time was slowing down when she felt she was in the park for a few hours. She had an entire day's worth of hiding and sadness to look forward to. It started in no time after tears began running down her cheeks.
She went to the amusement park to find comfort, but as usual with Helga's life, things just ends with disappointment.
A/N: Feeling a tad superb with this new direction on this story.
