Angel: I decided to do another songfic, since I really like this song, but I chose a different version. For...Hans and Stalyan to be siblings, even in an AU, is just not possible. For one, he has only BROTHERS, and no sisters. And I don't even like Frozen that much anymore yet I know that fact. He didn't even physically appear in the sequel, and that came out a few months before the Tangled Series ended. Two, he'd have to be related to Morgan as well, and she and Stalyan don't have brothers. Not to mention that at this point, he is exiled, and that would be distracting for me and probably other people to suddenly reveal that they're all related. And they don't even look anything alike.

I personally do believe that Elsa and Anna are related to Rapunzel and Harmony as cousins. But the same cannot be said for the villains for me. Especially when we already know the family tree of all the characters at this point. It's definitely unique, but I just personally don't see Hans and Stalyan as being siblings, even if it wasn't canon.

As for Lady Caine's father, I'm pretty sure all her dialogue, as small as it is, implies that he's dead. I'm not even gonna argue that one.

Sorry this took so long to get out. Not only did I have writer's block, but I went on hiatus from my Tangled stories. Two of my other stories were ending, so I had to get those out of the way, and they were eating up my time. But I am now back!

This is set in the modern world, and the sisters are normal girls as they are in high school again.

Summary: Varian sees a girl at the dance and tries to get her attention. Song: Kiss the Girl by Ashley Tisdale.

Varian fumbles with his tie in the bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror. He sighs at his neat appearance. He's wearing a black suit and blue tie, like his eyes themselves. His hair is slightly combed, and he was wearing a nice pair of black shoes. Tonight was the Seashell Dance, in honor of the movie, the Little Mermaid. One of his best friends, Rapunzel, apparently picked the theme since she loves the movie.

He didn't want to go, but Rapunzel managed to convince him. Dances weren't his thing, and he didn't even have a date unlike Cass, Lance, and Eugene and Rapunzel themselves. He'd have some fun, and probably leave within the hour. He didn't mind he'd be going alone either, because he focuses mainly on his studies and not dating.

Quirin knocks on the door, bringing him out of his thoughts as he looks up. "Varian? Your friends are here."

"Coming, dad!"

He runs down the stairs and reaches the front door, seeing Eugene and Rapunzel standing at the porch. Rapunzel is wearing a pink and white gown, kind of like the one Ariel had on during her dinner with Eric. Except Rapunzel's is slightly less poufy, and her sleeves were less poufy as well. She has pink flowers in her hair, and white earrings. Eugene is wearing a green jacket, a white shirt, and black pants, along with brown boots.

"You look so handsome, Varian!" Rapunzel smiles softly at him.

"Hoping to find a special someone tonight, Goggles?" Eugene nudges Varian playfully.

"Not really. But I'm hoping to see what you guys did to the place."

Rapunzel was on the committee for decorating the dance, while Varian was not. He usually stuck to his homework and his frequent experiments in his room.

"It's gonna be so much fun! Come on!" Rapunzel waves him forward and he steps out, saying goodbye to his father before leaving.

The three step in with Adira, Lance, Cass, and Andrew. They look around the gym, which is decorated with a light blue. The lights were hanging from the ceiling as water droplets, and they blink in a lavender color. The walls are sparkling blue, like the water from Ariel's kingdom. All of the food had to do with the sea, from crab cakes to shrimp. And there was a cake in the likeness of the moment when Ursula died...Cass' choice, not Rapunzel's. She personally found it too dark, but was willing to compromise since the cake actually looked authentic.

Varian was admiring the décor when he freezes, seeing a girl talk to Vex and Morgan.

Kiss the girl

His eyes widen at the brunette between Morgan and Vex.

Kiss the girl

Rapunzel notices his look and follows his direction to see her.

There you see her

The girl Varian has his particular eye on is in a sleeveless dress, the top in black in a sweetheart neckline. Her knee-high skirt is a midnight blue, decorated with silver dots, meant to represent stars. She has on a pair of black heels, her brown hair with blue bangs down as it's long and flowing. There's also a big royal blue bow in her hair, just like Ariel's was when she wore her dress exploring the kingdom with Eric. She laughs at something Vex says.

Sitting there across the way

He opens his mouth in awe at her as she says something to her friends, but obviously he couldn't hear. He would've been paying attention to what her lips said, but he's too focused on her appearance to really make it out.

She don't got a lot to say

Rapunzel looks between her and him, gasping in realization. "Eugene!" She whispers to him. "I think Varian here might have a crush on my little sister!"

But there's something about her

Varian whips around to Rapunzel, having heard that. "Wait-that's your sister?" He blinks in shock. Looking back between the brunette and the blonde, he could see that they have similar face structures, along with freckles. But they have such different hair color and different eye color, that no one would guess that they were sisters at first glance. He had heard about Harmony before from Rapunzel herself, but they shared different lunch times, and the girls only had one class together.

"Yup! She gets my parents' hair color and our dad's eyes, I get that a lot. She's in your chemistry and art classes," Rapunzel tells him. "But she only hangs out with a few people in school."

Given that it's hard to tell that the two are sisters sometimes, he probably didn't give her a second thought in class—or anyone really. But now, looking at her, he wished she did. She looked very beautiful, and was obviously meant to represent the starry sky when Ariel and Eric were about to kiss for the first time.

And you don't know why

"What's her name?" Varian asks curiously, the others smirking.

"Harmony. Looks like someone does have a crush."

He rubs his arm awkwardly. "I-I wouldn't say that..."

"Oh really now?" Eugene raises a brow in amusement. "Because from where we're standing, we can sense the stars in your eyes, Goggles."

"I...is that what it is?"

"Don't tell me it's your first crush!" Lance replies with wide eyes and Varian chuckles sheepishly.

"Guilty...I just never noticed girls my age."

"Well, it's never too late! You're only 15, after all," Rapunzel smiles at this opportunity to set them up. He grabs him by the shoulders and pushes him forward. "Go on and talk to her!"

"What, no!" Varian protests, hiding behind the blonde. He peeks over her shoulder to continue looking at Harmony.

But you're dying to try

The girl walks off to get some punch and Rapunzel giggles a bit. "Varian, you can't go the whole dance without at least trying to talk to her."

"She's actually pretty nice once you get to know her. And coming from the Eugene Fitzherbert, that's saying a lot," Eugene grins widely and Cass rolls her eyes at him.

"If you're gonna oogle her for the rest of the night, you could at least speak to her, Varian."

You wanna kiss the girl

His throat feels dry just at the thought of that, watching her sip her punch. She stands out so much from this dance, and it was off-putting that he had never noticed her before. But then it happened. She glances up at Varian and they lock eyes. He stiffens in fear as she notices him basically acting like a creep. Rapunzel gasps at the eye contact and then Harmony smiles at him. He blushes at her smile, as it was truly beautiful.

Yes, you want her

"She's looking at you! Go on!" Rapunzel urges Varian and he takes a deep breath, deciding to go for it. He takes a shaky step forward, silently giving himself a pep talk as he gets closer and closer to her.

Come on, Varian, you can talk to a girl. She's Rapunzel's sister, she can't be that bad, right? Just say hi, smile and nod to everything she says.

He finally gets to Harmony, but when he does, Kiera and Catalina come up. They're two freshmen, and they're friends with the two sisters and the others. Catalina grabs Harmony's arm before Varian could even speak to her.

"Harmony, come check out the cake with us!"

"Oh, um, okay-" They drag her away so quickly that she drops her punch onto the floor. Varian stares after her wide-eyed, wondering what just happened. Cass, Rapunzel, Lance, and Eugene all wince at this display.

"That's gotta hurt," Cass comments as Rapunzel approaches Varian.

"It's okay, Varian. You've got the rest of the night to talk to her! You'll figure it out."

"Yeah..." He stares after her forlornly, hoping that he'll at least get a chance before the night ends.

Look at her, you know you do

He believes his next chance is when Harmony is looking at the decorations with her sister, both of them admiring it. Harmony also points out a few intricate details, while also pointing one flaw here and there. For example, the paint on the banner was slightly off. But Rapunzel just waves it off, telling her to have fun.

Varian bites his lip nervously, plucking a rose from a plant boldly. He hides it behind his back, slowly approaching them.

It's possible she wants you too

Harmony looks over her shoulder while her sister is talking to see Varian. He stops, staring into her eyes. There's some intrigue to them, directed right at him. She smiles bashfully, looking away briefly as a small blush comes to her face. Her sister doesn't seem to notice, but he did. His heart beat a little from her acting shy just by looking at him.

That meant that she had to like him, right?

He had no idea what was going through her head, and he couldn't exactly ask Rapunzel right in front of her.

There's one way to ask her

Harmony turns back to her sister to re-focus on what they're talking about.

"Still nervous, buddy?" Eugene grips his shoulders from behind, causing him to yelp. He sighs in relief as he sees that it's just his friend.

"A little, but not enough to chicken out this time," Varian rubs the back of his neck.

"You know what you're gonna say? Here's a tip from the dating master."

Varian raises a skeptical brow at him. "F-Former dating master," Eugene clears his throat as they glance up at Rapunzel. Thankfully, she's still talking to her sister, so she didn't hear any of that. "But I can still give you a tip: you gotta get her attention first, charm her. Find your own smolder."

"Smolder?" The boy sighs a bit, knowing fully well that the smolder is not his style.

"You know the one!"

"That's...great advice, but I'd rather just be myself..." Varian walks around him, wanting to get out of the conversation as quickly as possible.

It don't take a word, not a single word

Varian walks up to the sisters as Harmony is talking happily with the blonde. She seems to be enjoying the conversation, and so does Rapunzel as the blonde is squealing a bit. She tightly hugs her sister, who gently pushes her away. Not because she didn't want to, but because she needed to breathe.

He felt like he was going to faint right in front of them by the time he reaches the two. He's about to speak up as he was going to touch her shoulder...

Go on and kiss the girl (kiss the girl)

But then she walks off. "I'm hungry, I need some appetizers!" Harmony states to her sister as she goes to find the snack table.

Varian blinks in disbelief as he missed her—again. Rapunzel winces as she sees him standing there. He sighs, taking away from the flower from behind his back.

"Aww, Varian. You were going to talk to her again, weren't you?" She asks in sympathy and he slumps his shoulders.

"Yeah...Rapunzel, I can't do it! Getting her attention shouldn't be this hard..."

"You just need to find the right time," Rapunzel places a hand on his shoulder comfortingly. "You still have a few hours! If you want, I can help you!"

"Really? Could you tell me about her?" Varian asks eagerly and she giggles by the look of intrigue on his face.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

"Well, she loves science, particularly inventing. She's also in the archery club in school, and she's the greatest little sister ever! Well, she's my only sister, but that's just me," Rapunzel smiles happily. "You two would be sooo cute together! Oh, and she loves anything blueberry, but she also likes strawberry ice cream."

"R-Really?" Varian questions bashfully. "Wow, she and I have a lot in common..."

"You do! I just realized that!" Rapunzel exclaims in awe. "We've GOT to get you to meet by the end of the dance!"

"So what should I do?" Varian asks, a bit concerned. "I can't seem to get her attention for long..."

My, oh my

"Hmm," Rapunzel rubs her chin. "Oh! Best. Idea. Ever! We can set you two up to meet!"

"You really think it'll work?" Varian wonders in slight concern. Rapunzel is known as a local matchmaker, but sometimes it doesn't work out...

"I just know that Harmi likes you too! Now here's my plan..."

Looks like the boy's too shy

"I cannot believe I'm doing this," Varian tugs at his collar nervously. He sees Harmony sitting at the bleachers while drinking some punch. She's sitting alone for once, and he has a communication device in his ear.

"Look, she's all alone! Just go up to her and say hi," Rapunzel says into the commlink.

He gulps as he slowly approaches her and she looks up to see him.

Ain't gonna kiss the girl

He freezes at the eye contact, but then a smile hits her face and he smiles too. He gains some confidence and continues to walk up to her. He feels like they're the only two people in the room as he gets closer and closer. And he hoped that she felt the same way.

"You're doing it! I can't believe my sister is about to get a meet-cute~" Rapunzel squeals and he rolls his eyes silently.

He finally reaches the girl, who has a warm smile on her face. He chuckles bashfully at her as he finally has a closer look at Harmony. Her hair looks like chocolate, her eyes sparkling as her smile the most beautiful thing in the world. Her freckles also make her look unique, and he didn't know why he didn't see her before.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

"Um...h-"

"Harmi!" Lance comes in out of nowhere and grabs her hand, pulling her up. "I need you to take a picture of me and Adira! Trevor the Jerk isn't taking pictures like he's supposed to."

Varian gives a look of disbelief and Harmony doesn't look so pleased with him either. "Lance, now's not the time. I was just about to talk to-"

"Come on!" He pulls her away and she turns her head around to give Varian an apologetic look.

Ain't that sad

Varian sighs, sagging his shoulders as he watches them leave. Rapunzel comes out of hiding from a bush nearby, walking up to him.

"I really thought that would work..." She sighs a bit, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Sorry, Varian."

"Even when she's alone, I can't speak a word to her," He gestures to where the two went. "Maybe it's better that we don't meet..."

"No! Don't say that, you will!" Rapunzel pumps her fists. "I know it'll happen!"

It's such a shame, too bad

He looks at her and smiles lightly. Rapunzel is always determined to help a friend, and he feels glad that he has her support. Even if sometimes things look bleak, she's always there to be optimistic.

"Thanks Rapunzel."

You're gonna miss the girl

Harmony focuses the camera on Lance and Adira and snaps their photo. She rolls her eyes when Lance gives her a thumbs up. Lance is her friend, but sometimes he asks her for way too many favors when it comes to Adira.

"Ah, I'm glad we could work this out," Lance grins as she gives him a small wave. Harmony turns around and looks for the boy from earlier. Varian perks up as he notices her looking for him and his heart fills with hope.

Go on and kiss the girl (kiss the girl)

Varian weaves through the crowd as he thinks he finally has his chance.

Now's your moment

Eugene and Rapunzel look on hopefully as they see him trying to reach her.

Floating in a blue lagoon

Harmony sees him when he's in eyesight of her and she also has a hopeful look on her face.

Boy, you better do it soon

No time will be better

Harmony gets her shoulder tapped from behind and turns around to see more couples in line to get their picture taken. She gives a slightly disappointed look as she's the only one around to take the pictures.

She don't say a word

Varian skids to a stop as he sees the line. She glances over her shoulder and gives another apologetic look before she starts taking pictures.

And she won't say a word

"Oh!" Rapunzel whines as Eugene facepalms at this. The girl storms off, fists clenched. "That's the last time I let Trevor the Third take photos!" He begged her to do it for days until she caved in, and now she was beginning to regret it...

Eugene winces at his girlfriend, hoping that she doesn't run into Trevor.

Until you kiss the girl (kiss the girl)

Varian lets out a deep sigh, turning around in the other direction and walking off. There has to be another way to get her attention even for just a few minutes...

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

Harmony walks off after Trevor was found so he could actually do his job. Rapunzel really let him have it for making her sister take her time out of the dance to take pictures. She heads into the bathroom, pinching her nose in frustration.

She looks up at the mirror and her eyes sadden.

My, oh my

Harmony smiled at him and he blushed, smiling back.

Looks like the boy's too shy

She smiles bashfully at the reminder of seeing him. The boy she keeps seeing...she really wants to talk to him, but something always interrupts them. It's both frustrating and intriguing because she wants to know him. But at the same time, the delay first meetings is probably something she'll laugh about in the future.

Ain't gonna kiss the girl

It feels like they'll never get to talk to each other, but she still holds hope. He's very cute, and he seems nice. She needs to ask about him, she doesn't even know his name...

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

She steps out from the bathroom, only to be met with her sister. "Harmi!"

"Ah!" She yelps upon seeing her, taking a deep breath. "Raps, you scared me."

"Sorry. But there's someone I want you to meet!"

"I'm sure I'd love to meet them, but I'm actually looking for someone," Harmony rubs her neck sheepishly. Rapunzel grabs her hand and drags her away into the gym.

"But he's really great!"

Ain't that sad

Harmony looks around for Varian as Rapunzel goes past the crowd. "But sis, I-"

"Trust me!"

The girl sighs in defeat and nods. Hopefully this wouldn't take too long and she could find who she's looking for.

It's such a shame, too bad

Varian places a hand on his cheek while sitting at a table, looking bored. He's just waiting for the dance to be over now as all of his attempts to meet Harmony have been failures. Not that he was giving up hope, but clearly tonight isn't the night that they meet. Maybe he could meet her at school, even if it won't be as memorable or special to him...

Morgan peeks at him from another table and grins. She's had a crush on Varian ever since the first day of freshman year, and now she gets a chance to talk to him. She was watching him try to talk to Harmony, but it clearly hasn't worked out for him.

She walks over to him, sitting to his left. "Hi Varian."

You're gonna miss the girl

"Hey Morgan," He mumbles knowingly, not wanting to talk to her. He's not rude to her, but he wasn't interested in her affections. And he's made that known several times, to varying results of success.

"I know you've been trying to talk to Harmony, but trust me, she's not interested," She leans in with a small smile. "You two haven't even said a word to each other the whole dance, and it's almost over anyway."

He glances up at the clock to see that it's almost midnight. He'd rather not be able to say a word to Harmony than to be talking to her right about now.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

"Where is he?" Rapunzel murmurs to herself as she looks around, trying to see past the crowd. Harmony looks up at her a bit impatiently.

"Sis, I don't have time for this!"

"But I promise, you won't regret this," The blonde insists to her and Harmony sighs in irritation.

Don't be scared

"Can you at least tell me who it is?" Harmony places a hand on her hip and her sister grins, looking over her shoulder.

"Varian. He's the boy you keep seeing!"

The girl gasps in amazement before her eyes widen. "Wait, what?! But what if I'm not ready? What if I smell? What if he doesn't like me?"

"Varian doesn't bite, don't be afraid, Harmi. I can tell he really likes you."

You better be prepared

Harmony blinks in shock and then smiles softly. Her heart races as they continue going past people and the decorations, but they still don't see him. She shakes in anticipation to see him, hoping that he hasn't left.

Go on and kiss the girl

Morgan gets even closer to him and he moves away. "Morgan, I think you're a great girl and all, but I don't have feelings for you."

She glares at him for rejecting her. How dare he, she's the prettiest girl in school. And yet he's too focused on a girl who couldn't give him what she could give him. She's been jealous of Harmony since day one, and it was about time that she gets to know how to feel horrible and heartbroken like she feels now.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

She glances at Harmony and Rapunzel about to reach the tables and she leans in, KISSING Varian.

The two sisters see them and freeze. The younger girl lets go of her sister's hand in horror upon seeing them. Her heart literally feels like it's breaking into two as she tears up.

Varian pushes Morgan off of him. "Morgan, what are you doing?!"

"Showing you that no one rejects me and gets away with it," She whispers in his ear and he looks to see Harmony. He gasps as by the look of her face, she had just seen everything.

Don't stop now

"Oh no..." Rapunzel murmurs at the two. "But this doesn't make sense, Varian hates Morgan. He'd never kiss her. Harmi, he-"

She turns around to see Harmony no longer standing next to her. She looks up to see Harmony walking past people in the crowd. "Harmi, wait!"

Harmony wipes her tears with her sleeve, but they keep flowing.

Don't try to hide it

Varian grits his teeth at Morgan. "Morgan! You just ruined my chance to get Harmony to like me!"

"Serves her right. It's about time something terrible happened to her. How about we get you out of here so you can forget her? We can go to Monty's-"

He scrambles onto his feet and runs after the girl. Because she had a head start, it's harder to catch up to her. He zips past Eugene, Cass, Adira, Andrew, and Lance. "Whoa! What's the rush, Goggles?" Eugene calls out to him. Rapunzel reaches her friends, frowning.

"Harmi saw Morgan kissing Varian..."

How you gonna kiss the girl

"She did what?!" Cass hisses in anger as the others are shocked.

"Wow, I knew Morgan hated Harmi, but that's a new low," Lance frowns, feeling bad for the two.

"So where is she now?" Eugene asks in concern.

"She ran off, Varian's trying to catch up to her now.

Go on and kiss the girl (kiss the girl)

Harmony reaches the door to the girls' bathroom and slams the door shut. Varian rushes over to the door and bangs on it.

"Harmony! I-it's not what it looks like! I know you don't know me, but my name is Varian, and I didn't want you to see that."

The girl just sits in a stall, tears streaming down her face. All she could see was them kissing and she hates that...why did she have to see it the exact same time she wanted to talk to him? Why couldn't she have talked to him sooner?

Kiss the girl

Varian knocks on the door again. "Harmony, please come out. I just wanna talk..."

There's no response and he groans, his forehead slamming into the door. The one time he's actually talking to her, and it had to be because of a misunderstanding...

Rapunzel walks up to him along with Cass. "Wait here, Varian. We'll try to get through to her."

Kiss the girl

Some people have started to notice them and start whispering as the girls walk in.

La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

"Harmi? It's us. Can we talk?" Rapunzel asks gently as they stand in front of the only closed stall.

"I don't think there's anything that needs to be said, sis," Harmony whispers from inside the stall. "I'm so embarrassed! I can't believe I thought he actually liked me..."

"But he does! Morgan's always chasing after him, she probably kissed him," Cass insists to her. "Are you really going to take her word over his?"

"Cass," Her friend places a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I felt like this when Stalyan tried to become between me and Eugene last year, remember?"

Cass winces at the reminder.

Go on and kiss the girl (kiss the girl)

Harmony sniffs, hugging herself as she squeezes her eyes shut. "I appreciate your concern, but just go. I'll see you when the dance is over."

Rapunzel's eyes sadden at this. "...Harmi..."

"Go!"

Her sister sighs sadly and nods. "Okay. I get it."

"She needs to be alone," Cass whispers as she leads Rapunzel out of the bathroom. Varian turns to them hopefully.

La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

"I'm sorry, Varian, but she wants to be alone," Rapunzel tells him and he frowns. He couldn't believe this, he had such high hopes for himself. But now it seems like all of that was for nothing now that the dance is going to be over in 30 minutes.

He rubs his chin, trying to figure out how to fix all of this. Then he snaps his fingers.

"Guys, I have an idea! But I'll need everyone's help."

Go on and kiss the girl

Harmony checks her phone and sees that it's midnight. She steps out of the stall in relief and washes her tear-stained face. She just wants to go home and hopes that she'll forget that all of this ever even happened.

She walks out of the bathroom and is floored to see everything has been cleared out. Beautiful lanterns are strung in the ceiling, some gold and some pink with blue and purple. The ones that aren't gold look handmade and she looks up in the ceiling in awe. Varian is standing in the middle of the gym with no one else around.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

She sees him and flinches. She gulps and slowly walks towards him. She didn't know what it was, but something was drawing her to him right now. Varian smiles weakly as he hears only her footsteps, hoping she'll forgive him.

My, oh my

Harmony finally reaches him, rubbing her arm nervously. He smiles sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. Now that she's in front of him again, he didn't know what to say because of what she saw.

Looks like the boy's too shy

"Hi..." He murmurs shyly, causing her to look up at him in surprise. Then she bites her lip, giving a small wave.

"Hi..."

"Did...did you all do this for me?" Harmony wonders as she looks back up at the ceiling. Varian coughs a bit awkwardly.

"Your sister said that on your birthdays, you release lanterns from your backyard, and I thought I'd make some for you. I actually made the pink ones, but with some help."

Ain't gonna kiss the girl

She blinks, touched that he took all that time to do that. Her eyes soften a little and she clears her throat.

"You and Morgan...you aren't-"

"No! Not at all," He denies rapidly, shaking his head. "I never had feelings for Morgan, and she kissed me. She knew you'd be coming to talk to me, so she decided to get back at you. I guess she's still bitter from the time that you won Homecoming Queen last year."

"Yup..." Harmony glances away knowingly.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la

"Look, I'm so sorry you had to see that. I never wanted to hurt you, and...I was hoping to meet you all night," He tells her gently.

"I was hoping for the same thing, but...I believe you."

He looks up at her with wide eyes and then smiles. She smiles back at him and he holds out his hand.

"Would...would you like to dance with me?" He bows to her.

"But we don't even have any music," She giggles at him, finding this adorable.

"I think after what happened tonight, that's the least of our worries."

Ain't that sad

She takes his hand and he wraps his other arm around her waist. She blushes and they start to move. It felt like something out of a dream. She didn't think that she'd get to dance with him tonight, but now they were the only two people in the room.

"How am I doing?" He questions a bit nervously and she giggles, pressing her forehead to his.

"It's good enough for me."

It's such a shame, too bad

He grins at her answer and kisses her palm softly. Her knees weaken at this action, blushing as she closes her eyes in bliss. She wished they could stay like this forever...

You're gonna miss the girl

The only sound is their breathing, but that's all they needed. Varian glances towards the doors of the gym, seeing his friends and Rapunzel silently cheering them on from outside. He smiles happily, grateful for their help. If it wasn't for them, he probably wouldn't be dancing with her right now.

La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

"What's on your mind?" She asks quietly and he turns back to her.

"How much I had to go through for us to get to this point."

She chuckles at his confession, hugging his neck and resting her chin on his shoulder. He stares down at her in surprise.

"It was to the point of ridiculous, honestly."

He hugs her waist and they continue to sway.

Go on and kiss the girl

Already he feels so bonded to her, as if he's known her his whole life. Judging by her closeness to him, she felt the same way too.

The lanterns glowed above their heads, giving the room a fairy-like feel. They danced around the ceiling, changing colors softly around the two.

Go on and kiss that girl

"Can I ask you something?" Varian whispers loud enough for her to hear.

"Yeah," She looks up at him and he leans in closer.

"M-May I kiss you?"

Her heart races as she looks into his eyes. Varian looks like he's about to panic.

La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

"I-I'm sorry," He stammers to her. "I shouldn't have asked that, we barely know each other. I must've sounded crazy...I-"

She reaches up and has her lips meet his. His eyes widen at her as he feels her soft and sweet lips. His eyes close as his hands touch her cheeks. He caresses his thumbs lightly against her cheeks as he starts to enjoy the kiss.

Go on and kiss the girl

Butterflies form in both their stomachs as she finds his lips soft and warm. She plays with the tuft in his hair, earning a hum from him.

Go on and kiss the girl

The kiss becomes more passionate as he continues to kiss her. They either didn't seem to notice the others taking pictures or they didn't care.

Kiss the girl (kiss the girl)

He pulls away softly, both of them blushing with small smiles on their faces. Harmony opens her eyes as they touch foreheads again. She giggles, reaching out and rubbing her thumb against his lipstick-stained bottom lip.

Go on and kiss the girl

"You finally managed to get the girl to kiss you, huh?" She murmurs and he grins.

"Wasn't it my moment to kiss you?" He asks teasingly as he brushes a stray bang away from her ear.

"That's true..." She rubs her chin. "But you can have a do-over."

He smiles and kisses her again, not regretting going to the dance anymore.
