Sam come to cross the girl on the floor and she said, "Hey."

it was Mary who said "Hey. Richard Allen Wesley is dead." hand Sam a newspaper.

Sam asked, "You're kidding."

Nessa informed her "Killed in a prison fight." Rosie had come with Danny that found the girls on the floor talking she was here to talk to Sam about Wesley.

Delinda adds "It was all over MSNBC this morning." when the girls all look at her she adds, "What? You guys don't think I watch the news?"

Rosie said, "No."

Delinda admitted, "Okay, my manicurist told me. But she saw it on MSNBC."

Mary asked, "How's it feel knowing the man who tried to kill you is never coming back?"

She glass at Rosie and she nodded and still with her eyes on the article Sam said, "Like I just won $1 million."

Nessa asked, "Speaking of $1 million, we were just wondering about the legend… of Gardy Grissom's buried silver."

Sam asked, "What?" Rosie looks at the three girls, she shakes her head at them.

Mary stated, "If the legend is true, you're the only one who knows where it is."

Nessa adds, "You said you'd never talk about it until he was dead, and Wesley is dead, baby."

Delinda said, "We were thinking maybe we could help you find it. For a cut, of course." Rosie blinks at that, she ? if these girls knew Sam at all. It is Sam, were not they paid any attention night of 20 questions.

Sam asked, "Are you being serious?"

Girls said, "Yeah."

Sam asked, "There's no silver. who buries treasure in the desert?"

Mary said, "Oh, I don't know. Rich, eccentric millionaires like Gardy Grissom."

Sam said, "Yeah, but this guy could weave a tale. So this was just one of them."

Nessa said, "We'll never know until we start digging."

Delinda said, "We'll take the day off. It'll be an adventure."

Sam said, "I can't go, freaks. I have to work. I have a client coming in… and he owns

half the tanning salons in California."

Delinda asked, "Do you mind if we look for the silver?"

Sam said, "Well, okay. But you're just going to waste your time."

Nessa said, "Well, it's our time to waste."

Mary adds, "Please?"

Sam said, "Fine. I'll give you the supposed map. But if you guys find any silver, I get my cut." something about Sam voice that tells Rosie that the girls were wasting their time and more than that it was Sam, do these girls really know they friend.

The girls said, "Of course." Sam walked away. Rosie goes to finding Danny at the coffee shop.

Ed walked over to Mike who was waiting at the door and asked, "What are you doing'? You missing a valet?"

Mike said, "No. I'm just… waiting' for Clint Black to show up. Don't tell the brothers, but I'm a big fan."

Ed said, "No, not a soul. But, you'll be waiting' about 24 hours. So you might want to think about goin' back to work."

Mike asked, "Isn't he checking in?"

Ed answered, "No, he's not. He's staying with some friends."

They see a beautiful lady with the baby and bag walk to the door Ed opens the door and said: "Welcome to Montecito."

She said, "Thank you." and asked, "Do you happen to know where Danny McCoy is?"

Ed asked "Danny McCoy?" she looks down at the baby...

the lady said, "Yeah. I think, he works in surveillance."

Ed said, "Yeah. I think he was headed for that coffee shop. It's right through there."

the lady said, "Thank you." lady walked toward the coffee shop where Danny had coffee with Finn.

Mike asked, "you think?" ask if Danny would be the baby's father.

Ed and Mike look at each other and said, "Nah."

Lady with the baby walked into the coffee shop and she sees man and woman have coffee with a folder of paper on the table. He looks like a photo that she sees, she knew that he been back a little over a month, and paper on the table seem to be items for a wedding. She called, "Danny?"

Both Danny and Finn look up to see the lady with a baby. Danny takes few minutes to try to work out where he sees her from and says, "Yeah." both Finn and Danny stand.

Lady said, "I'm Connie Beckner. Sgt. Beckner's wife? I was his wife."

Danny recover and said, "Connie, of course. I've seen your picture." while Danny talked Finn clean the table up of all the paper.

Finn said, "Your husband, was a good Marine."

Danny adds, "A good man."

Connie said, "He thought the same of you. You're probably wondering what I'm doing here. You don't know me… but he always talked about you when he e-mailed or called.

Danny said, "It's great to finally meet you. I meant to call you when I got back, but… you know, things just..."

Connie said, "I know."

Danny said, "I'm so sorry about what happened."

Connie said, "It's okay. I know."

Finn said, "Have a seat."

Connie said, "Thank you."

Finn said. "Wow, look at this." she could see Kent in the kid, he had Kent eyes and lips. This kid will be handsome when he gets older he will be a heartbreaker in no time.

Connie said, "This is Carter."

Danny said, "Carter. He looks just like his dad." he was holding the baby's hand and smiled down at him and the baby seem comfortable with just hold Danny's hand.

Finn said, "leave two to catch up" she kisses Danny's cheek and walked out of a cup of Joe's.

Connie said, "Kent always said if anything ever happened to him… or if I needed anything, to look you up."

Danny asked, "of course. Sure. Is there something you need?"

Connie asked, "I just drove up from Tucson for a job interview… and the friend that was supposed to watch Carter got sick. So I was wondering, could you? Possibly?"

Danny asked, "You want me to watch your baby?" he asked shocked, how could this lady he never meet what him took after her baby.

Connie said, "I don't know anybody else in town. And the interview's in half an hour."

Danny said, "Yeah. Yeah, sure. I guess I could do that." the word were out of lips before he would think.

Connie said, "Thank you. I'm sure it won't take long."

Danny said, "So, where's your interview?"

Connie said, "A management company. Stoner..."

Danny asked, "Stoner Sacks?"

Connie said, "Yeah. That's it. It's just a bookkeeping job, but it's a start. Here's the diaper bag.

Everything you need is in here. His favorite binky is on the side pocket… but only if he gets fussy."

Danny asked, "You're not going to get fussy, are you? No, I didn't think so." for second he was lost in the baby.

Connie said, "All my contact information, is on the other side pocket, including my cell number."

Danny said, "Okay. I got it. Well, you look perfect. So take a deep breath and just be yourself."

Connie said, "Okay. I guess I should get going." they both stand.

Danny said, "Okay. So if you want to have lunch or something when you get back… you know, we could talk."

Connie said, "That'd be nice. Bye, sweetie. I love you so much. I'll see you. Thank you."

Danny takes the baby into his hand and waves at her with the baby's arm.

Finn found Ed and Mike and she asked that if they could keep eye on Danny, she tell them, "he had another flashback this morning all the day for Connie to look him up, why today? This going course him more guilt issues"

Mike was first asked, "guilt issues?"

Finn said, "Sgt. Beckner was Danny's best friend in the Marines, he died in that last mission Danny was involved in." she leave out the fact that Connie was Beckner wife.

Finn smiled said, "raid, hope they run I need to good work out" she walked out open the boot of her car and take out her vest and gun and get in drives way from Montecito.

On the floor, Sam find her new client and Sam said, "Mr. Taylor? I'm Samantha Marquez, your casino host."

Taylor said, "If we're gonna be lovers, you must call me Bernard. Mr. Taylor is my father."

Sam asked, "Oh, he's still alive?"

Taylor said, "I heard you were feisty. We're going to have fun spending my money, I can tell."

Sam said, "Yes, we are, and please let me know any way that I can help you do that. Anything not involving my chest."

Taylor said, "There is one thing that would please me. No comps. I want to pay for everything, including my suite."

Sam said, "You know that's a courtesy we extend to our preferred guests."

Taylor said, "Well, I prefer not to be preferred. I've got a lot of money in this bag, and I plan to throw it around."

Sam said, "Okay. No freebies. Lots of spending. Anything else?"

Taylor said, "Yes. I want to throw a big bash tonight in that club of yours, Mystique."

Sam asked, "Mystique, yes."

Taylor said, "I hear it's very hot."

Sam said, "Actually it's scalding, but tonight is a little short notice..."

Taylor said, "Did I mention I'll pay you to double?"

Taylor said, "My wife's leaving me."

Taylor said, "Don't be. It's my fourth divorce, and frankly… I've come to enjoy them more than the marriages.

Sam said, "A little divorce party?"

Taylor said, "I'm seeing an ice sculpture, maybe champagne fountains, and… you know, caviar, P.T, cracked crab."

Sam said, "Of course."

Taylor said, "I'm also seeing the room packed with strange, beautiful women… ideally all of questionable

moral fiber."

Sam said, "That shouldn't be a problem. I'll pass the word."

Taylor said, "No blondes. I detest blondes."

Sam said, "Number four was a blonde?"

At Danny's desk, Delinda finds her father and she tells them that she take the day off and that she needs to borrow the hotel Escalade. Ed asked, "Our Escalade? What the heck for?"

Delinda said, "Nessa, Mary, and I are going to the desert to look for buried treasure."

Ed asked, "Buried treasure? Well, you're all taking the day off then?"

Delinda said, "Oh, no. Just me. They're calling in sick."

Mitch said, "Ed, we have a disturbance on the floor."

Ed finds Danny with Crying baby and he takes control of things and asked: "You want your binky?"

Danny asked, "What the hell is a binky anyway?"

Ed said, "A pacifier."

Danny asked, "What?"

Ed said, "Binky. Pacifier. Same thing."

Danny stated, "I didn't know you knew anything about kids."

Ed could believe he asked a dumb question like that, Ed stated, "Really? Let me just ask you a question: Do you think that Delinda came into this world at 5-foot-9?"

Danny said, "Right."

Ed said, "Right. So, excuse us. Sorry, everybody. Come on. Walk. You don't have to carry him like a bowl of soup like it's hot soup. Listen. I guess you're gonna make me ask you. What's with the baby, Danny?"

Danny stated, "I'm just watchin' him for a couple of hours… while his mom's at a job interview."

Ed said, "That pretty brunette that came in this morning?"

Danny said, "Yeah. Connie. She's alone, and I sort of owe her."

Ed asked, "And you owe her because..."

Danny stated, "Her husband Kent, was one of the guys I gave the last order to." the look in Danny eye told him Ed that he was struggling with it.

Ed asked, "So, the guy I sent you to talk to, how's that goin'?"

Danny said, "Good. It's helping'. but Connie's counting on me, so I got to..."

Ed said, "I'm counting on you too, Mom. I'm counting on you not to empty my casino… which screaming, crying babies tend to do."

Danny said, "I think he just misses his mom. She'll be back pretty soon."

Ed said, "Here's your purse." hand dipper bad to Danny and walked away.

Danny tries to call Connie and leave another message for Connie. "Connie. It's Danny. Again. Listen, I haven't heard back from you and I'm getting a little worried. So, please, call me back as soon as you get this."

the security room Conner let it rip and poo his dipper and Mitch said, "Oh, my God."

Mike adds, "That's not humanly possible."

Ed walked up to them and Ed said, "Mother's not back yet?"

Danny said, "No, not yet."

Mitch said, "I'm out of here."

Mike said, "All right. Time for a coffee break."

Ed said, "You know what you got to do?"

Danny said, "Throw this kid away and get a clean one?"

Ed said, "That is somewhat funny, but no. Just change him."

Danny said, "What? No. You do it."

Mike said, "Good luck, Danny."

Danny said, "No, you do that."

Ed asked, "I do it? Why would I do it? It's your favor."

Danny said, "Because you know babies. You said Delinda was one yourself."

Ed said, "Shut up, just shut up. Okay, get me the diaper bag."

Mike hand it over and said, "The diaper bag."

Ed said, "Now, look, do this once, Danny Boy and I want you to watch and learn. I am only going to show you only once."

Danny said, "Okay."

Ed said, "First, you lift the legs like this, right? Above the offending diaper. And then, take the wipes out. The wipes! You wipe him clean. front to back."

mike said, "Gross. This is… I'm getting a vasectomy."

Ed said, "Now you take the dirty wipes and you put them into the dirty diaper… and you roll it up. Here you go." hand over Mike.

Mike said, "Oh, no." ED drop on Mike's desk.

Ed said, "Now give me a clean diaper. And you lift the little guy and slide it right under him like that… and then you lower him ever so gently, and there. Is that better, little guy?"

Danny asked, "What about this cream?"

Ed said, "You don't have to go there. That's only if he's got irritation. You know what? When Delinda was a baby she had the worst diaper rash ever."

Mike said, "Just a hunch, but she might want to keep that within the family."

Ed said, "She would sit around for hours in a wet diaper. Just all smiles, not a peep. I mean, she was a happy baby."

Danny said, "I'm surprised you didn't have more kids."

Ed said, "Yeah. I kind of wish I could have had a boy."

Conner pee on Ed tie and Mike point out, "Of course, there are some drawbacks."

Ed said, "Leave. Both of you leave. Leave me alone. Leave me alone."

Rosie walked back in she was smiling, it was almost nightfall, and Fuller was suspended for foresight without paid. He had been behind the wheel on his way to the scene when he had hit a kid not just a kid but the police commissioner's kid.

Ed asked Sam, "What's with Mr. And Mrs. Melanoma over there?"

Sam said, "Bitter divorce. He's trying to throw all their money away so she can't have any."

Rosie said, "Really? That's some kind of genius."

Ed asked, "Is he losing'?"

Sam said, "Oh, yeah."

Ed said, "I guess we should be happy then."

Sam said, "We should."

Taylor yelled, "Snake eyes! Snake eyes in honor of the old ball and chain."

Mike asked, "Divorce?"

Sam said, "Oh, yeah."

Taylor said, "Look at this. You know the house you had your eyes on in Malibu?" he trough the chip in the air...

Blond jumps on top of him and yells, "I'm gonna kill you!"

Taylor yells "Oh, no, no. Get off me. Watch the plugs! Watch the plugs!"

Blond said, "I'm sorry I ever met you."

Taylor said, "It's a little late to apologize now."

Ed and Rosie are in his office going over something when Danny walked in and said, "I have a problem."

Ed said "Yeah, I can see that." look up from the paper at his desk.

Danny was standing there with the baby strapped to his chest and said, "Connie's been gone for four hours. I've left her several messages. I even called the hospital."

Rosie said, "That doesn't sound right."

Ed said, "A mother doesn't leave her baby that long. She had a job interview?"

Danny said, "Stoner Sacks. I called there, too."

Rosie asked, "Yeah? And when did they say she left?"

Danny said, "She didn't. According to them, she never even had an interview."

Ed said, "When I put that all together… I guess she chose to disappear."

Ed and Rosie look at each other they both know if she got involved the kid would need to state care. So without a word, it was agreed that Ed and Danny would find Connie and she would track Connie's parents down.

Ed finds Danny at his desk with the baby in the career. He said, "Danny, I checked that cellphone of Connie's you gave me… and apparently, the last two outgoing calls were to numbers here in Vegas."

Danny asked, "Whose numbers were they?"

Ed said, "It was an escort service, Danny. Look, the poor woman, she loses her husband… has to raise her baby by herself… add some financial troubles, and..."

Danny asked, "Financial problems?"

Ed said, "Yeah, when you and Kent were recalled this last time… I guess the business went south, and… obviously, military pay couldn't cover the costs… and the bank repossessed the house."

Danny asked, "I don't get it, man. I mean, why me? Why not somebody who knows somethin' about kids? A brother? A sister? Anybody?"

Ed said, "Her parents live in Denver. They're on their way out now."

Danny said, "Didn't they know somethin' was wrong?"

Ed said, "They do now. Rosie tracks them down she picking them up at the airport and brings them here. Come on."

Danny asked, "Where're we goin'?"

Ed said, "The escort service. I know the place. I've been throwing those girls out of here for years."

Danny asked, "What about Carter?"

Ed said, "It's all right. Mike will watch him."

Mike asked, "Mike will?"

Ed said, "Yes, Mike will."

Danny said, "You're gonna have to feed him. He doesn't like anything green. I'd go with

Mike said, "Dude, you're killing me here. Okay, little man. Let's talk. We got to come up with some kind of understanding here, okay? Ground rules. Otherwise, this isn't going to work out. You get me?"

female lawyer comes up mike said "That is such a cute baby. Oh, my gosh. I didn't know you liked babies."

Mike said, "Who, me? I love them."

At the pimp's place, Ed and Danny talk and get a location on Connie… Ed take computer screen and throw it to the floor and Danny take bat on the table.

Pimp said, "Listen, all right, I took care of her. It's her first time, she was a little nervous… so I set her up with Harvey. He's an older guy. Two drinks and those seniors rarely close the deal."

Ed said, "I want an address."

pimp said, "Wait! He wanted to have dinner first. He likes to talk. Go figure. If she was comfortable, they were going back to his room… at the Desert Valley. Bungalow 2."

Ed said, "Okay. You can handle this on your own. He's an older guy."

Danny arrived at the bungalow and he and Connie talk the john said, " I don't want any trouble. Maybe I should give you two a little privacy."

Connie said, "Thank you. I'm sorry."

John said, "I am, too, my dear."

Danny asked, "So, when were you gonna come back for your son, Connie? Tonight? Maybe next week? Maybe never?"

Connie said, "Trying to take care of Carter and trying to pay bills… and time to miss Kent, to grieve him… that time's a luxury."

Danny said, "Why didn't you just ask me for help?"

Connie said, "Because I have all this debt I can't pay back… and a few bucks from your wallet isn't gonna help."

Danny said, "I'll get you a job, Connie. A place to stay. We'll figure this out."

Connie said, "A minimum wage job is all I qualify for. I can make $1,000 a night doing this."

Danny said, "Being a hooker?"

Connie asked, "You think this is what I want? I didn't choose this. It chose me. It's the only thing I can do to earn enough to get myself out of debt. And when I'm done, I'll come back and get Carter, and give him what he needs. What he deserves."

Danny said, "So until then, you just hand him off to me… and just say see you later? How can you just walk away from your son?"

Connie said, "I know he'll be safe with you."

Danny said, "You don't know anything about me."

Connie said, "Kent told me that you wanted a family… that you were coming home to propose to the girl next door. Rosie!."

Danny said, "Kent said that?"

Connie said, "He also told me that you were strong and kind… a decent man. I figured who better to leave my son with? Just for a little while."

Danny asked, "What about your parents?"

Connie said, "I can't call them."

Danny asked, "Why? What did they do to you… that you can't ask them for help on somethin' like this?"

Connie said, "They didn't approve of Kent. They didn't even show up for our wedding."

Danny said, "But Carter is their grandson."

Connie said, "Yeah, well they don't even know he exists."

Danny said, "They do now. They're on their way out."

Connie said, "No. I can't face them."

Danny said, "Connie, they're worried about you. They love you. Come back with me. I know you're nervous about it, but they're your parents. Come on."

Connie said, "I can't."

Danny's cell ring Rosie and telling him that Connie's parents are waiting for her. Danny put Rosie on the phone with Connie and he does not know what she tells her but Connie is crying and agree to go back with Danny. While Danny reunites Connie with her son and her parents Rosie finds Sam to see if the girls were back from their lost hunt.

Sam and Rosie catch up with the girls and the girls sound grateful to be back.

Sam said, "I was worried about you guys."

Rosie asked, "So, you didn't find any silver?"

Delinda said, "Look at our faces. Do we look rich?"

Sam said, "So I guess they don't call 'em legends for nothing." Sam and Rosie get to the lift.

Sam said, "I hate to say I told you so, but remember when I warned you? Remember when I was right? Good-bye."

The lift closed and Rosie turn to Sam and asked, "how much was it?"

Sam look said, "you heard them there no silver"

Rosie said, "I know you, there no way you would leave any kind of treasure out there for some else to find it especially if you knew the location, just between us how much was it?"

Sam said, "enough that I ever need a man to take care of me" she smiled

Rosie said, "nice"

At the Bar Rosie hang back to see Ed had just joined Danny let them talk, Ed said, "Jerry, give us a couple of doubles of my special stash there, will you?"

Jerry said, "Yes, sir."

Danny said, "If you're going to try to make me feel better, don't bother."

Ed stated, "Now why the hell would I do something like that? I mean, the truth is that everything turned out okay… so we should enjoy that for a while, you know?"

Danny said, "It's just that baby, Carter. Kent would have been a great dad to that kid… and now his son will never know it."

Ed said, "Well, he will know it. I mean, when he grows older, you'll tell him about it."

Danny said, "Yeah. Yeah. I could do that."

Ed said, "All right. Anyway, you know before, when I said… you know, I always wanted a son? Well, if I had one, he'd be about your age. And I would have been proud of him… if he handled stuff the way you did."

Danny did not say anything to that and Ed adds, "I'll see you later." he leaves to have dinner with Delinda. Rosie comes and enjoins Danny to take the drink that Ed left for Danny and down it in one go. They sit there for while before leave and call it night. She let Danny about Fuller and the raid, She also tell him that he would be a great dad someday.

He smiles at her and tells her that Connie had said that Kent told her that he had said to him that he was going home marry the girl next door Rosie, that he wants a family.
