Disclaimer: Just so we're clear, this chapter starts on the same day Richie and Rocky talked over the phone, just an hour after that. Enjoy!

Paw Patrol X: The Hearts of Truth

Nephilim arc Episode thirteen: One Adventurous Bulldog

Nathan Sharp's cover of the Overlord opening theme played with Charm's eyes opening after a transition of sorts. Flare was then shown to be blocking a punch from Trickery as Nathan Sharp was heard singing. "Can someone give me the (Flare kicks at Trickery, who dodges the kick with ease) a-answer, (Marshall is shown to be tending to a wound Skye gained in the fight) to my (Richie is shown to be shooting at Charm, who dodges the bullets with ease) que-estion? (Chase is shown to be taking out some robots with Snow beside her) Where's my (Rocky and Everest smash a robot's head into the ground with full force) soul?"

A stream of grass was shown as the words Paw Patrol appeared on the screen from gun shots going though them, followed up by the X being made with two sword slashes as the music continued. The Hearts of Truth then appeared through a blazing flame going across them with the Paw Patrol then shown, leading up to Flare giving a peace sign as the song continued with the lyrics coming back.

Flare was shown to be gaining some kind of dark power during his battle with Trickery. "It's like a virus in my body (Flare dashes at Trickery and grabs his neck) while I'm (Flare starts choking Trickery, who likes the feel of the moment, disgusting Flare) dreaming. (Marshall finishes tending to Skye's wound and gives her a thumbs up) When I wake up, all that's (Marshall scratches his head and laughs innocently as he looks at the screen with his eyes closed) left of me are bones."

Richie was shown regaining his balance after a brutal kick from Charm as the song continued. "I'm in a panic! (Richie dashes at Charm and aims a punch at him) Get out, (Charm grabs Richie's fist with Richie trying to knee him but failing) hurry. (Chase throws a soldier at Snow with full force) Oh there are mysteries, (Snow kicks the head of the soldier, knocking him out instantly) and many miseries. (Rocky is seen roundhouse kicking a soldier to the floor) Dead of alive, I'm on the brink (Everest stomps on the soldier's face and kicks him aside brutally with a creepy smile) of self destruction."

Skye was watching the battle before grabbing a gun and aiming it at some soldiers "As I'm (Skye starts shooting the soldiers, catching the others attention) roaming, (Rubble gives a thumbs up to Skye) from left to right to (Skye smiles in response to Rubble's gesture) An invitation, (Zuma is shown to be casually using a soldier as a pinata) to come disappear . (Flare knocks Trickery to the ground and glares at him furiously) We're dancing one, two, three steps (Flare snaps out of his trance and grabs his head, gaining an immense headache) on this dark stage."

Charm was rising up in an elevator as he looked at all of the destruction he was causing in certain towns and cities. "Raise your flag, march and fight. Break your mask and show some pride! (Charm takes out a soda can and takes a sip with a proud smile) While this war just sends a shiver down my crooked spine. (Charm is shown to be speaking about the future) Wars and swords, tears and blood. Feel my heart begin to race. (Charm chuckles devilishly as he gives an evil grin) As I laugh through this bloodbath we've made!" Charm is shown to be in Flare's nightmare, waking him up and giving him anxiety.

Richie was shown to be having some kind of demonic surge in his body that he tried to fight back "Can someone give me the (Rocky is shown to be trying to get to Richie with Marshall holding him back) a-answer, to my (Flare rushes over to Richie without warning once he sees that he starts turning evil) que-estion? (Flare hugs Richie, who smiles upon his gesture, only to suddenly go crazy again without warning) Where's my soul? Where's my heart? (Richie's body heats up and ends up sending Flare back, sending him into a tree) Am I losing my own self?"

Rocky was shown looking at his sword in some sort of bus, seeming to be on edge about how the mission went. "Don't you hesitate, go this way-ay-ay. (Flare looks over at Rocky, seeing that he's feeling down about something) I don't know. And I don't care. (Flare puts his paw on Rocky's shoulder to comfort him with a smile) Tell me, are you not entertained now?"

Richie was fighting back against his demons in his mind with his power as he slashed at his demonic side with his sword "I'll just keep (Richie's demonic side grabs his sword and crushes it) surviving, (Richie kicks his demonic side, sending it back with full force) I just cannot hide it all. (Rocky is looking at a picture of him and Richie with sadness surrounding him) I am not to fall a victim, (Rocky punches the wall out of rage and sadness) I'll continue living in this, (Zuma puts a paw on Rocky's shoulder, who starts cring and hugs him) misery driven (Zuma pats Rocky's back, knowing he's going through a hard time) world!" Flare was sitting under a tree as he thought about Richie with Snow walking up to him to see how he was doing. Flare clenched his fists with confidence that they could save Richie as the song ended with Paw Patrol X: The Hearts of Truth being shown above him.

Flare was training in the lair with Rubble as Marshall and Snow watched with Marshall noticing how much Flare has improved since the beginning. "Flare's definitely ready for the upcoming battle against Charm. Just look at him Snow. (Smiles proudly) That's gonna be your husband one day."

Snow flinched at Marshall's sudden comment on her feelings for Flare, wondering how he figured them out. "And just how did you learn about that? I didn't say anything to you about how I felt about him. (Starts thinking) Actually now that I think about it, we haven't had many interactions together at all."

"Well the fact that you were a tsundere when we first met you is one thing." Marshall pointed out, and then Snow chuckled nervously and smiled as she remembered how rude she was back then as Marshall pointed out how she's matured. "You've seen noticeable improvements though. I haven't seen you being as rude to the others much, and you seem to be more cheerful and open to having fun."

"In case you forgot, I DID spend the day with Flare after Charm destroyed that city." Snow reminded Marshall, though she could see where he was coming from. "I mean, you're right, but I've never been against having fun. I guess it's because I'm glad to finally be reunited with Everest."

Marshall got an infatuated look on his face when Snow mentioned Everest, and then gave a bit of a sly grin to her. "Ya know, Everest and I have been hitting it off since she got here. Maybe you could-"

"I doubt you'd be able to handle Everest at her max level." Snow warned Marshall, leaving him to look concerned as he thought about Everest's max level. "Trust me. You're better off not knowing, at least until you're eighteen."

Flare and Rubble were still training as the two of them slammed two robots heads into the ground with Flare low sweeping another one. Rubble then kicked the robot into the wall to finish it off, levaing just three robots left. Flare and Rubble then grabbed the heads of one robot each and slammed their heads together before throwing them into the air. This led to the last robot charging at them before Flare kicked it from the top of it's head and then elbowed said head, smashing it and getting up as he complimented Rubble's skill. "You're pretty good Rubble."

"Thanks Flare. You too." Rubble replied, and then the training session ended with Rubble feeling the need to go adventuring again. "Still, I wish I could go another adventure to see what else I could find out there." Rubble then remembered the jungle he was in before meeting the Paw Patrol, feeling he could still find some stuff there. "Now that I think about it, there should be some stuff in that jungle that's right next to Adventure Bay. Maybe I could find a secret tomb or something."

Flare liked the sound of that, hoping to see what Rubble did before meeting the Paw Patrol and instantly dashing up to him with excitement. "Secret tomb? You mean like raiding a tomb? Something I could try out?"

Snow and Marshall arrived in the room with Rubble easily taking notice to Flare's hopes that he would invite him. "I guess it wouldn't hurt if you came. It'd offer a unique experience, since all the other tombs I've raided were by myself."

Flare squeed with excitement and saw Marshall, running over to him in the hopes that he would say yes. "Marshall, can I go tomb raiding with Rubble? Please? I promise I won't die."

Marshall laughed a bit as he made his response, unable to deny Flare's skill that he's been gaining. "As long as you listen to what Rubble has to say, yes."

Flare was even more excited as Rubble walked up to them and made sure to keep an eye on Flare. "Don't worry Marshall. I'll make sure Flare makes it out unharmed." Marshall was glad to hear that, knowing Rubble had to have lots of experience by now.

Flare and Rubble were in the jungle next to Adventure Bay as the two were looking around for a tomb they could raid. Flare was extremely excited to be coming along with Rubble, since he'd never been tomb raiding before. "Thanks for letting me come with you Rubble."

"No problem mate. You strike me as a kid who can hold his own." Rubble then became curious about Flare's age, since the two of them never really talked that much on the team. "How old did you and Marshall say you were?"

"I'm seven and Marshall's ten." Flare answered, and then he revealed something else that seemed a bit shocking to Rubble. "My birthday is next week actually. (Rubble becomes surprised) I just haven't brought it up because of all the crap we've been dealing with lately."

Rubble put a paw on Flare's shoulder as he made his response, hoping he wasn't sad about this. "But it's your birthday. You have the right to mention it at least once."

"Yeah, but the current situation is huge compared to a birthday. (Gives a cheeky grin) Plus Marshall's gonna get me that game I want anyway." Flare snickered a bit with Rubble smirking at the sound of what he was saying, finding that Flare had a devious side to him that was easy to catch for the keen eye. "So anyway, do these tombs usually take a long time to find?"

"Yeah, but the time it's taking now is because I've already raided some of the tombs here." Rubble explained, and he and Flare continued looking for a good one. "I ended up farting on a snake after escaping from that last one." Flare snickered a bit at that memory Rubble told him about, knowing that the snake must've stunk afterwards.

Snow was currently in the kitchen with Skye as the latter was teaching her how to properly make enchiladas. "And it's super important that the chicken is shredded, because if it's not then it could overload all the other ingredients. Oh, and the peppers can be green peppers or jalapeƱos, depending on how one feels about spice."

Snow took note of that and put the enchiladas in the oven with Skye as the two of them decided to see what they could do while waiting. "What should we do while we wait for them to finish up? Obviously we can't leave the lookout during this cause we could start a fire." Skye instantly thought of something with Snow closing her mouth as soon as she opened it up with a creepy smile. "We're not taking Chase's blood for a DNA test."

"Ugh, fine. We don't have the equipment for it anyway." Skye tried to think of something else they could do, wondering if there was anything they could do that would be approved of by Snow. She couldn't think of anything though, and hoped Snow could think of something good. "You have any ideas? Pretty much all of mine involve crazy stuff."

Snow had something on her mind instantly, giving an intrigued smile as she looked at Skye, who looked intrigued herself as well. "We could look at Flare's baby book. And also Chase's. I know you'd love to see what your boyfriend was like as a baby."

Skye loved the idea, grabbing Snow's chest and pulling her face up to her own as she spoke up. "You talk to Marshall about Flare's baby book, I'll get Chase!" Skye dashed off with Snow walking off to go find Marshall, hoping he could arrange something for her and Skye.

Flare and Rubble were still walking around the forest as Flare started to get bored with all the searching. "Rubble, are you sure there's still something to find around here? We've been looking for thirty minutes now and I feel like my brain is melting from all the searching."

"Some tombs are hidden from the untrained eye." Rubble informed Flare, who sighed as his stomach growled, leaving Rubble to comment on that as well. "As well as the untrained stomach." Flare pulled out an apple for himself and tossed one to Rubble as well, feeling that he also needed to keep his strength up. "Hey, thanks mate."

Flare and Rubble started eating the apples as Flare sat down, sitting on some kind of switch and revealing a secret door that led to the underground. When it opened up, Flare and Rubble were both astonished with Flare looking down and seeing what he sat on before getting up and asking Rubble a question. "Did you ever find a tomb by sitting on an entrance button like that?"

"No, and I don't recall tombs being found like that. Let's check it out anyway, just in case." Flare and Rubble headed into the tomb with Rubble looking around for booby traps while informing Flare about this step. "Now it's really important that we don't activate any booby traps in these things."

Flare became confused by what Rubble meant, having never heard the term 'booby traps' before. "The traps down here are made from girls?"

Rubble snickered a bit, starting to think about boobs after Flare made his air-headed remark. "No, but when you think about it like that, it doesn't sound so bad unless you're not into girls. Maybe they should call them booty traps." Flare and Rubble went deeper into the tomb, hoping to find the first set of trials that would lead them to their goal.

Snow and Marshall were in Marshall's pup house as Marshall was giving his mom a call with Snow commenting on their lack of communication. "It's been four months now, and you haven't contacted your mom once? How busy is she, three jobs and a new baby?"

"Now that you mention it, I guess Flare and I just kept forgetting." Marshall answered as he called his mother on his Paw Patrol pad, hoping that it wouldn't be too big of a deal. "If we're lucky I won't get reamed about it."

Marshall's mother instantly picked up the phone, glad to finally be getting a call from her son. "Marshall! I haven't heard from you since you and Flare joined the Paw Patrol. I'm glad you're okay."

Marshall chuckled a little, having to admit that he wasn't exactly proud of the lack of communication. "Yeah, sorry about that. It kept slipping our minds, and we've been training a lot for Charm's upcoming assault lately, so we haven't had the time for family."

Just then, someone jumped into the frame; this being Margareth, who showed her loving, yet also somewhat aggressive personality. "That's hardly an excuse! At least send us a text every now and then."

"Ooh, I like the feisty one." Snow commented, having a liking for those who didn't take nonsense from anyone. "Who's she?"

"That's mine and Flare's sister Margareth. And yeah, she can be pretty hard on people." Marshall admitted, and then Marshall admitted to why he called in the first place. "Actually mom, my friend Snow wants to know if she can look at Flare's baby book."

Marshall's mother thought for a moment and figured it wouldn't hurt to let Snow take a little peak. "If it's okay with Flare, then yes."

Marshall knew Flare would be okay with it and gave a thumbs up, allowing Margareth to take over as she commented on the current situation with a smirk. "Training, huh? Looks to me like you took the day off."

"Trust me, I'm putting my work in too." Marshall assured Margareth, knowing that she was the type who couldn't stand slackers.

Flare and Rubble were still in the tomb as they were inspecting the first trial and figuring out how to get around it. It seemed more like a platforming puzzle than an actual trap, but it wasn't something Flare and Rubble weren't prepared for, so they quickly jumped on the first platform. Flare went first since he was lighter, and Rubble went behind him, with Flare jumping onto a pole that was connected to both walls, pulling off a triple front flip before landing. This caught Rubble's attention, and he quickly praised Flare as he jumped over to the other side himself. "Nice one mate."

"Thanks Rubble." Flare replied, and then the two of them moved on with Flare wondering what the next trial would be. Suddenly, Flare ended up stepping on a platform that caused arrows to start shooting out of the air. This surprised Flare and Rubble, causing the two of them to flinch and run across the room. They were able to dodge the arrows by moving to the sides while also jumping over and sliding under some of them. Just then, Rubble got a look at a lock in the shape of an arrow head.

Rubble gestured Flare to the lock and he nodded back, grabbing one of the arrows and tossing it to Rubble. He then gave Rubble a boost when they got to the edge of the wall and Rubble jumped off of the wall, sticking the arrow head in there and opening the door. Flare and Rubble were both relieved as Rubble's stomach then growled, causing him to lose his balance and fall down. Flare took notice to this and went underneath Rubble to catch him, "I've got you Rubble!" only for to land on his face with his butt, causing him to land on his back.

Rubble didn't notice that Flare's face was on his butt with it shown as he released a loud and bassy fifteen second fart, making a big green cloud come from his butt as it vibrated, releasing a moldy cheese scented fume into Flare's nose (PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT). Rubble gave a sigh of relief as he got up, only to notice Flare and becoming surprised, and also worrying for him as he helped him up. "Sorry about that Flare. Guess that pizza I had today really came back on me."

Flare was a little doozy, but he was still able to make a reply as Rubble guided him to the next room. "I'm just glad you got down from the fall okay." Flare laughed a bit, still being a little fatigued from Rubble's butt blast as the two of them continued onward.

Marshall, Snow, and Skye were looking at Flare's baby book pictures as Flare and Marshall's bother showed the book to them. Snow was currently admiring Flare when Marshall was holding him as a newborn, finding herself unable to contain how much she loved the photo as Marshall chuckled. "As you can see, Flare had that cuteness appeal to him ever since he was born."

"The fact that I can't get my eyes off of this painting says it all!" Snow exclaimed, and then Margareth changed it to a picture of Flare being spoon fed by her. "That's better."

Flare's mother started talking about how much Flare loved food ever since the day he was born. "Most toddlers are picky eaters, but for some reason, Flare loved whatever we gave him. I'll admit, I'm surprised he didn't become overweight from it."

Flare's mother then turned the page with Skye finding that he was drawing on the walls in that one and seeming concerned. "That looks more like a blackmail photo than a baby book photo."

"I used it to get Flare to start acting up so mom would stop sucking up to him whenever we started squabbling." Margareth explained, and then she expressed how bad of an idea it was. "Of course, it slipped my mind at the time that Flare hadn't processed the definition of blackmail yet."

Marshall and his mother laughed at that memory with Snow wanting to see more about Flare's life as a baby. "Can I see one of Flare's birthday pictures?"

"Of course Snow." Flare's mother turned to the page of Flare's seventh birthday, where he was covered in cake while playing with Marshall. Marshall loved that memory, even if he got messy during the wrestling match. "To think my little boy is turning eight next week."

Snow and Skye were surprised by this, looking at each other as they expressed confusion over Flare keeping his birthday a secret. "Flare's birthday is coming up?"

Flare and Rubble were still in the tomb as the two of them arrived in a room with a really tight gap, one that was a little too tight for Rubble to fit through. "Dang. Guess it's a good thing I brought you with me."

Flare went over to the gap and looked through it, getting excited when he saw what looked like treasure on the other side. "I think I see the treasure Rubble! (Looks at Rubble) I'll go through while you look to see if anyone else is coming through. It'll be a tight squeeze, but we Dalmatians are pretty thin compared to other breeds."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Rubble admitted, being all for whatever it took to get the treasure as Flare gave him a thumbs up and started going through the gap as Rubble leaned on the wall as he expressed his relief that he could still get the treasure. "Good thing this kid's got guts."

Flare finished going through the gap after about ten seconds of struggle and saw a big box that was likely carrying the treasure. He ran up to it while making sure that he didn't accidentally activate another trap, opening it up and finding some stuff that confused him. It was gold, which was technically treasure, but it wasn't in bar form as he and Rubble were expecting. Instead, it was a golden tiara, something that Flare didn't expect. He decided to take it anyway though, and then he noticed the gold orb that the tiara surrounded and picked it up too. "This should work for Rubble."

Flare ran over to the gap and was about to go through it again, only for a dead woman to awaken and dash at him, causing him to react quickly and dodge roll to the side. The voice glared at Flare, who offered to give the tiara back to her, showing more kindness than fear when he did. "Oh, you can have this back if you want. Sorry; I didn't know if-" Just then, the figure dashed at Flare, causing him to duck under her kick, low sweeping her and elbowing her in the stomach, sending her back a couple feet.

Flare back-flipped away from the figure with Rubble having over-heard what was going on and calling into the gap to find out what was causing it. "Flare, what's going on!?"

Flare was fighting off against the figure, managing to block a good chunk of it's attacks while responding to Rubble's question. "Let's just say this place took bratty princess to a whole new level!" Flare got kicked back by the figure, regaining his balance as he then dodged it's punch and aimed a low kick on it. He then hit the figure with a back-flip kick that sent it on it's back, giving Flare enough time to rush for the gap and crawl through it. He went a little faster this time, getting out within eight seconds after Rubble helped him by grabbing onto his paw and pulling him out.

Flare and Rubble ran off as fast as they could, dodging the shooting arrows as the figure phased through them with Flare remembering what Rubble did and grabbing an arrow. He then got a look at the height of the room and looked at Rubble with a command in mind. "Rubble, give me a boost!" Rubble nodded, not sure what Flare was planning, but deciding to go along with it anyway. This led to the figure going up into the air, only for Flare to grab onto it and stick the arrow into it's head.

Flare jumped off of the figure when it screamed in pain and ran on the wall for a bit before jumping down to Rubble, who was impressed. "Nice work there mate. You're not as much of an idiot as some may have seen you as."

"I guess I just got used to adapting to battle situations." Flare replied, and then he and Rubble went through the platforming segment the best they could, making a break for the exit when they eventually got to it. Once they got out, Flare found the button he sat on earlier and closed the tomb up, leading to him and Rubble doing a high five as they then headed back to the lookout. "Well that was fun."

"Yeah, no kidding." Rubble smiled before noticing Flare putting on the golden tiara, catching onto the fact that taking it awakened the figure. "There was a golden tiara down there?"

"Yep. (Looks at Rubble with a smile) How do I look?" Rubble was a little baffled by the question, but laughed a bit as he gave a thumbs up, unable to deny that Flare could rock a tiara, making Flare happy as he adjusted it to his liking, even though he didn't have a mirror with him.

Snow and Skye were still confused as to why Flare didn't tell them about his birthday with Margareth and her mother being wondering what the reason could be as well. Snow was the most confused out of all of them, unable to understand why Flare would keep his birthday a secret. "I know it's nothing massive, but Flare isn't the type to just keep secrets. He of all people would be screaming like crazy about his birthday."

Marshall wasn't confused however, knowing Flare better than anyone and having a theory as to why he would hide his birthday from the others. "I think he's trying to keep us from steering away from the current situation. Flare may be air-headed at times, but he DOES have common sense, and as much as I love him, dealing with Charm is technically more important than his birthday."

Snow saw Marshall's point with Skye not wanting to let Flare go with out a birthday, slamming her paw on the ground as she spoke up to get all the attention onto herself. "Well you're right, but it's not fair to just skip it! If Flare's having a birthday this week, we're throwing him a party, (Points to herself with her thumb as she smiled proudly) And your party planner is yours truly, no objections!"

Marshall and Snow couldn't help but love Skye's determination to give Flare a birthday party with Margareth commenting on the quirky and well meaning Cockapoo. "I like Skye already."

Marshall set the Pup Pad down, deciding to end the call since it'd been a while since it started. "I'm glad to hear that. We should be heading off now. Bye."

"Goodbye son, love you. Say hi to Flare for me." Marshall's mother replied with Margareth waving goodbye before Marshall ended the call.

Skye was still thinking about Flare's birthday, having already decided that he deserved a birthday just as much as everyone else. "I'm planning a surprise party for him as soon as he gets back!

Flare and Rubble were heading back to the lookout Rubble expressed how proud he was of Flare today. "I gotta hand it to ya Flare. For someone who's never gone tomb raiding before, you managed to show me that you know a little more than the average newbie."

Flare was glad to see Rubble complimenting his skill, though he had to admit that this wasn't the first time he did something like this. "That's probably because of this one time when I was just starting out on the Paw Patrol, and I infiltrated this base with Snow to get something I forgot about. All I remember is that we had fun, and also Chase has a dad who hasn't appeared since. Maybe he's a deadbeat like my dad; I don't know."

Marshall was singing to himself in his pup house, catching Flare and Rubble's attention with Flare moving his head to the beat. "Workin' with the Paw Patrol, before my life takes it's toll, it's one heck of a workout, but I won't just sit and pout. I am here to help save lives, and maybe get a- (Notices Flare and Rubble arriving at his pup house) Oh, hey guys. How was the tomb raiding."

"I almost died again!" Flare blurted out excitedly with Rubble struggling to hold in his laughter as Marshall came out of his pup house.

Marshall got a good look at the tiara Flare was wearing and gave a smirk as he looked down at him. "You know that's the crown they put on girls, right?"

"There's nothing wrong with a little cross dressing Marshall." Flare pointed out, and then he saw Marshall's mirror and decided to get a good look. "Can I use your mirror?"

"Yeah, knock yourself out." Marshall responded, and Flare went over to the mirror and started admiring himself in the mirror as Marshall then gave a smug grin to Rubble. "He's been doing stuff like this for years. Now I just gotta wait for HIM to figure it out." Rubble gave a sly grin in response, having a feeling he knew what Marshall was getting at.

Snow and Skye were in the living room with the latter trying to think about what could work for Flare's party. She knew she would need some help with this, since as much as she loved Flare and viewed him as a close friend, she didn't exactly know everything about him. Luckily, she had Snow with her, and she's been hanging out with Flare for months now. "Alright Snow. All I know about Flare is that he's adorable, happy, loves helping people, thinks farts are funny, and that he likes video games and having fun. Are there any specific things I should use for making his party?"

Snow was glad to be of help to Skye, where she gave her the info, and Skye did the decorations. She also had a few ideas on what they could add to the party besides that to make it feel more like it was designed for Flare specifically, rather than just your average birthday party. It definitely made her feel like she had a hand in the party, even if it technically wasn't too much in terms of contact. "Well his favorite color is blue, and he loves food."

"Of course, his love for food; why didn't I think of that? We'll have a buffet at the party with blue plates!" Skye responded instantly, making Snow giggle a bit as Skye got to work on planning everything for the party, starting with the party buffet. "Maybe after we get the others in on it, we can find out what they think Flare would like in terms of gifts." Snow got a look at the birthday plans, being impressed by what she saw so far.

Dragon Ball Super Usubeni cover by Mark de Groot instrumental played during the credits as Flare was shown walking around the lookout as he thought about life. Flare looked up to the sky as he then thought about how he was going to help the team in the future. The music suddenly got more intense as Flare was then shown fighting off four members of the Waste's, seeming to have fun while doing it as he kicked one right in the face and made him fall back into another. The next shot showed Flare and the others witnessing Richie's in his demonic form as he looks in horror.

Richie glared at Flare, unable to contain himself as he and Flare started their battle once a male voice was heard singing. "Farewell, (Flare blocks Richie's kick, only to get sent into a tree) beautiful lover. (Flare dodges Richie's fire ball, not wanting to hurt him to an immense degree before saving him) I love you so, (Richie kicks Flare across the ground, hurting him immensely) but still I let you go. (Flare gets determined and charges at RIchie with full force) Under this pink sky is where we went our (Richie blocks Flare's kick and clenches his fist) seperate ways."

Flare regained his balance from getting send back and blocked three hell fire balls as the song continued "I want you to (Richie dashes up to Flare) know I love you, (Flare lands a punch on Richie after the latter grabs him by the neck, showing that he knews he has to figth back in order to save him) so I won't let you go. (Richie throws Flare to the side) I wish I had (Richie lands a solid flaming kick on Flare, who blocks it the best he can) said these words to you, (Flare is shown to be heavily wounded on the ground) But I have left all these words unspoken."

Flare thought about the promise he made to Rocky, refusing to let him down when he's so close now. "Like pink petals start to fall. From the blossom tree so tall. (Flare stands up and faces Richie, who shows respect in his refusal to give up) And they dance to a, bittersweet, melody." Flare and Richie went into their fighting stances as the two of them got ready to continue. An illustration of them in their stances was shown as the song ended.
